Wir hatten ein neu renoviertes geräumiges Familienzimmer mit Zustellbett. Sehr komfortabel, tolles Bad und sehr gute Ausstattung sogar mit Klimaanlage. Das Englisch Breakfast morgens war auch sehr gut. Parkplatz direkt am Haus.

Wir übernachteten dort eine Nacht auf dem Weg nach Westcornvall im Sinne stop over. Daher praktische Lage, aber leider direkt an der Hautverkehrsader in Richtung Westen mit sehr viel Verkehr (zumindest im August) und daher nachts sehr laut bei geöffnetem Fenster.

Nice bar, location very good, staff very friendly and helpful. Break fast satisfactory. Large room but very little furniture.

Restaurant food was poor, selection from menu poor. Carpets in the room could do with a good clean. Bathroom sink very small. No place to put things. For a hotel with 4 rosettes we expected to at least have a hair condition and body lotion provided.

The room was moist / damp because the windows could not get open and the air abstraction from the bathroom was too weak …. so by the morning I was glad I could leave the room…. I found it unpleasant . Too expensive for this kind of experience.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was large, quiet and the beds comfortable. Very clean. The breakfast was good. The meals in the evening were good. The building is lovely and tastefully furnished and decorated.

It was expensive for what it was. We really do not like the system where when you pay for meals etc by card, the machine presents you with options for tips. This is pressurising, it is not the culture in the UK and actually prevents me from tipping when I otherwise would have done. The room would be improved if there were two armchairs in it, rather than the one rather uncomfortable chair, so only one of us could sit.

Ich rate sehr von dem Hotel ab! Wir haben bei der Ankunft sofort den muffigen Geruch nach Schimmel im Zimmer wahrgenommen und die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen (wegen der lauten Hauptstraße). Die feuchte Luft aus dem Bad bleibt also im Raum und führt zwangsläufig zu Schimmel im dem alten Gebäude. Der Schimmel ist auch sichtbar (am Spiegel, der Klimaanlage, der Wand, am Vorhang). Eine Reklamation bei der Managerin war dann der Gipfel. Sie behauptete, dass das ein Raumduft sei und sie uns nicht in einem schimmeligen Zimmer unterbringen würde. Ein anderes Zimmer stellt sie nicht zur Verfügung. Wir können das Hotel aber gerne wechseln, aber sie erstattet ihrerseits keine Kosten. Da wir ein schlafendes Kleinkind dabei hatten und es spät war, konnten wir leider das Hotel nicht wechseln. Es war eine schreckliche Nacht, vor allem mit dem Wissen, dass unser Kind in der gesundheitsschädlichen Luft schlafen muss. Eine Reklamation bei booking mit Fotos führte dazu, das ein Mitarbeiter von booking bei der Managerin anrief. Wir erhielten die Antwort, dass es langwierige und schwierige Gespräche mit der Dame gegeben habe, sie aber uneinsichtig bleibe. So eine schlechte Behandlung haben wir auf unseren vielen Reisen noch nie erlebt.

La camera era davvero grande e ben attrezzata, è situato in un punto perfetto per poter usufruire dei mezzi pubblici. La cosa che mi ha colpito di più è stata la gentilezza dello staff: abbiamo avuto un ritardo pesantissimo all'arrivo e non trovavamo un mezzo per arrivare dalla stazione, la ragazza è stata costantemente in contatto telefonico con noi fino a quando non siamo arrivate. Super consigliato!

Property was exceptional

The service was exceptional too especially the food was very tasty and consistent throughout the stay.

Stanza pulita, ampia e spaziosa, molto accogliente. Bagno perfetto. Molto affabile il personale. Consigliato! Ottimo anche il ristorante.

Everything. We used this as a stop over for our drive further south into Cornwall and to visit The Eden Project. It’s such a great location. The facilities themselves are excellent.

Stayed here because it looked nice, had veggie menu options and was close to the Eden project with easy parking (I hate faffing with parking lol) The staff where lovely, they did have a event on we could hear a small amount but we where at the back of the building, aircon (beaut!!) clean, comfortable bed, not massive but room and bathroom big enough for a night and the restaurant was lovely. Bar was a bit packed for me! But I hadn't realized there was an event so we had a drink in reception and they where really nice about it.

It was lovely , drinks perhaps a tad overpriced but nothing to cry over.

It was fine for what we required for the two nights - nice room, if a bit small, and a decent breakfast. Pub/hotel was generally well maintained and a pleasant place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at The Britannia Inn. The staff were incredibly friendly, and our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had air conditioning, which was a real bonus. We enjoyed a delicious lunch before heading to the Eden Project, and the beer garden was a lovely place to relax. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay – freshly cooked to order, excellent quality and a great way to start the day. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall and visiting the Eden Project. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

We had a very pleasant stay. The lady at the reception was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The lunch was very tasty, and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere. We really appreciated the air conditioning, the large garden, and the spacious parking area. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately our stay coincided with an England world cup game. So big screens and loud! We would of liked an earlier option for breakfast as doing the South West Path walk. Also being told i could only drink beer from a plastic cup….im not a child!!!

I genuinely can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment we checked in, every member of staff made us feel so welcome. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, the bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely superb throughout our stay. The atmosphere here is second to none, and it’s easy to see why this has become such a favourite destination in one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall. Check in was good, room was very clean and air conditioning unit was welcome on a very hot day. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. I stayed on the same day as England were playing on large screen TV. I was pre-warned about noise levels, but to be honest, by the time the game had finished, noise levels reduced dramatically.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and individually decorated so they had character. The staff were very friendly and facilitating. Free parking with plenty of space. 2 min drive from a lovely beach. Breakfast was also excellent - both continental and order items. Overall great value for money.

It was family friendly, so clean and the staff would go beyond and more to make your stay the best.
