Very spacious — there were two double beds, a sofa, a huge bathroom, a tv, kettle etc, plenty of drawers and even a wardrobe. Also plenty of parking, and under 10 minute drive to Newark. Very good value compared to the other options I had available. The temperature was good in September. The bed I tried was comfortable.

It’s not the Ritz, and you probably need a car to stay here, but overall it’s decent.

Easy to locate just off A1, needed an overnight between Tyneside and the Channel tunnel on a motorcycle 🏍 tour. Met by a helpful guy who checked me in. Room was spacious but basic, which suited my needs for one night. Parked bike 🏍 right outside my room overnight. Had a meal at the adjoining Indian restaurant. Nice hot shower with good quality towels. Slept well, nice comfortable bed 🛌 😴, no noise noticeable until early morning. Can recommend as a stayover, few contractors use their facilities too. Shall certainly return.

The Indian restaurant is outstanding 5 * The rooms are private & large albeit basic but for the price - very good. Great parking - 2 big beds for a twin ✅

The room had all I needed but was sparse and could have done with a make over. Walls need painting and maybe a picture or 2 could have alleviated the empty feeling. Was lovely and big and bathroom was big and clean.

Just off the A1 Ajoining building was a curry house which won best curry in East Midlands 2026 Recommended to me by the handiman and I ate their the following evening It was fantastic! Top tip. Only 30 yards from My accomodation

Very convenient location for Newark Showground with plenty of parking. The room was spacious (two double beds) and clean. The staff were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and the food was amazing.

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.

Location, property and parking very good..Rooms good size, shower room needs refurbishment but ok for sort breaks. No breakfast but tea/coffee facility in room included.

It would have been very useful to have a small fridge. The bathroom could do with updating. Where the seal on the shower screen had perished it caused me to flood the bathroom door. I would still come back though.

The convenience of being to park my car outside my room, very short walk to the restaurant and bar, Bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The restaurant food, atmosphere and staff were absolutely brilliant. Based on this alone I would give it 5 stars.

Carpets were marked in places with some spillage, shower in bathroom spilled out onto floor as seal below glass side was not fitted correctly. I couldn't find a switch for the bedroom lights near the beds, the only switch being just inside the room door.

Loved how easy it is for someone else to falsely use my card.

This booking was made fraudulently by a random stranger using my card details, which is no fault of the venue with various contact methods, made by myself, to this accommodation. No response in return was made to correct this error or to prevent further use of my card. Poor communication from venue dictates this review from myself. A response at least would have prevented this review. Lesson learnt for everyone

Good size room and beds

Did not realise it was motel room with no facilities for breakfast etc. we did not eat there as could not get a drink in the afternoon. Expected some sort of bar etc as it mentioned bar/ lounge in the ad but nothing at all. Misleading as you have to get car out to There was someone there from 3pm so why not open bar and have snacks. You should specify it is a motel room only.

Very handy location, very spacious, plenty of channels on the TV, were ok with check in before 11pm which is just as well as I didn't know the A1 would shut. Also cheap. Very close parking.

Needs a proper clean and update. The bath tiles looked new but the bath was old, stained and sealant bad. The cleaner obviously doesn't do corners and the remote for the TV was disgusting. Just a blind for the window. Very basic decor. You're staying in a basic building out back, motel style, without any style, not the main house as the photo would suggest. Sound traveled through the walls. The man on check in was dismissive on arrival. Seating area was a small uncomfortable sofa. Cobwebs. Wouldn't want to spend much time here.

Our shower didn't have a washer in it so we had to move rooms. Also in the first room there were sweat marks above the headboard. And a leaf in the kettle! Otherwise it was very clean.

Location was easy to get to and quiet despite being next to a main road. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was an easy option with the restaurant on site and the food was a 10/10 meal.

Cleanliness very bad and only one toilet rolls for 3 of us for 5 days, so we need to bring our own ones. Millions of ants on floor, bathroom, beds, table, chest drawer also went into our suitcases. Shower head is leaking water that caused no power of water from shower head. Bathroom tub leaking badly, towel bar falling down, wood lice on floor due to damp bathroom. Cracking mirror and holes in bath tub. No staff can be reach, no one answer the phone…problems never solves!

Clean , accessible, excellent parking , tea and coffee facilities, good Shower and 2 large and comfortable double beds. Plenty of sockets spread around the room and a TV. Excellent value for money. No breakfast, but plenty of nearby places available. Good takeaway food available 😋 aswell I would definitely use again

Could do with a net curtain , you either have to have the blind closed or open . The room is a bit exposed when open or very dark when shut.

Rooms were in a separate block and were bigger than expected. The real bonus was that the main property was a Bangladeshi Restaurant serving wonderful food.

Rooms were very spacious and had everything you needed but perhaps were slightly lacking in character.

Wir sind pünktlich um 15h angereist und tatsächlich konnte uns schon jemand den Schlüssel geben obwohl das Restaurant erst um 17h aufsperrt. Grosses Zimmer mit zwei Betten und einem riesigem neuen Bad mit Dusche, herrlich

Zimmer vermeidet jeglichen Charme, ein Bild oder ein zweiter Sessel wären von Vorteil.

Room was lovely and cool on a very hot day. The tea and coffee facilities were very welcome The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a good sleep. The staff were friendly. Easy parking outside our room on arrival.

Probably could have done with a bath mat in the bath when showering, bath rather slippery for an older person. Towel rail needed a little repair as one of the rawl plugs was loose making the rail tilt. There were a few ants in the room but bearing in mind that we were in the middle of the countryside it was not a great problem. Parking was a little difficult on our return in the evening as restaurant guests had parked outside the rooms. again no great problem as we just waited till someone left to park properly.

We were given room 9 there slug crawling around in the shower tray and the crusty brown deposit on the toilet. When I complained we moved to room 5. There was an earth cable sticking out of the wall behind the heated towel rail and the bath side panel was broken in various places. We have stayed here many times over the last few years but would think long and hard about staying again if this is what we are expected to put up with.

The wifi often doesnt work or very slow but other than that no problems

It was a convenient location for the wedding we attended. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were so lovely and helped resolve an issue I raised about cleanliness in our room while we were at dinner.

Upon arrival there was still remnants of vomit on the wall in the bathroom. Which we later relayed to staff who cleaned it. The mess was also on the spare toilet rolls which were not changed. The bathroom could have also done with an update as there was black mould and peeling paint on the ceiling. There was also a frosted window in the door which let the sunshine in causing early starts to the day.

Comfortable enough room. We arrived too late for the restaurant but it looked nice. Plenty of parking.

A little noisy - busy mainline railway next door, plus the A1 of course. Also the bathroom heater was on full whack on the hottest night of the year so far, so we had to leave the door and windows wide open for a couple.of hours to let it dissipate

Night light hanging off the wall. No curtains to block people looking in. They have blinds but too dark of you just want to block people passing by.

The room was dirty. The bathroom was very smelly and the shower didn’t work properly the hose was broken so all the water was spraying out the bottom

The location is perfect for our visit to the Newark showground. The Indian restaurant adjoining the accommodation is one of the best I’ve visited this alone is worth a stay.

Can’t think of anything negative!

Easy to get to and park. Well placed for me on the way to the ferry. Comfortable room, nice and big. Friendly staff. Within walking distance from a good pub!

The bed was comfy. The room is very spacious. The shower was hot, and the flow was good.

This was a cheap room, but it could have done with a few improvements. It would not take much to improve the place. With a little bit of effort, it could be a lovely place and still stay in the lower price bracket. I didn't expect much, but I didn't expect a room filled with a mess of furniture that looked as if it had been bought at a yard or jumble sale, and it to be dusty. The table, which had seen better days, had a bumpy, raised surface, as it was a 90's office desk, it had suffered from boiled water damage on the laminate. It was also dusty. The bathroom was dusty, with cracks in the corners and flaking paint. Next to the bath, a very large floor tile (not part of the decor) was propped on the wall, hiding missing/peeling paint, dampness, and other issues behind it. The bath tiles were missing grout, and some had a mismatched grout, with a little mould in places. The duvet was fine, but the sheets were too small, so they bunched up during the night. Though the pillow cases were clean, they looked as though they could have done with replacing and 1/2 of the pillows were lumpy. The "emergency light" was so bright that it felt like I had a side lamp on. It was one of those Emergency lights in the ceiling from the 90's. Also, one of the windows didn't shut properly. There was a draft. I stayed in Room 10, which was the farthest one from the restaurant, and outside, down the building, between it and the fence, were all the old mattresses and furniture. I had to listen to the neighbour next door have a heated argument between 10:30 pm and 11:40 pm. The soundproofing was nonexistent. Luckily, I remembered I had my Loop earplugs. Luckily, I locked my door as at 10 pm someone tried the handle and walked off in a huff. I left my car camera on after that, as I didn't like it.

Big room, having a couch/sofa would be more comforting

We stayed at room 4 on Sunday 26 th April and was lovely Friday the 1st may we stayed at room the bath panel was broken there was only one mug not enough tea bags or milk the beds was not changed as the sheets were all wrikledthe tv didn't work I had to go and tell them when we stayed in room 4 on 26th April you could not fault it the meal was nice there as well

The rooms are very comfortable with easy access direct through the car park. Good value for money. Only stayed over the one night whilst working in the area but find it very convenient.
