It was a convenient hotel which I have stayed at before, maybe even in the same room. I was happy with the facilities although the mattress is I feel on it way to being replaced and they could do with some additional electricity sockets.

The bedrooms could do with a bit of updating as in the shower, unfortunately on this occasion we didn’t sleep well as the guest in the room next to ours had the tv on all night. Therefore maybe guests should be asked to be respectful of other guests after a certain time.

Possibly the worst beds ever! Springs were stick up proud of the mattress. They really need replacing. Pull the quilt back and try them!

Good location with easy access to nearby locations and the coast. Excellent fresh made breakfast along with a good set of basic options. Ability to get a breakfast platter for early departures is appreciated even if it is a simple selection.

You can hear the upstairs guests somewhat, however this wasnt a major issue during our stay

It was the perfect location for a nostalgic visit to see some old friends. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable and clean.

The food was very good , the staff were very attentive & professional, the room was very comfortable. The bathroom was adequate and the shower was good.

The onley thing that was a downer was the road noise, but cannot find any other faults

The location is excellent—nestled right in the heart of Cuckfield, making it a peaceful and convenient spot for a solo stopover. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and my room was cozy, clean, and ideal for relaxing on my own. The absolute highlight of the stay was the food. Both the evening meal and breakfast were amazing. Dinner at the pub was top-quality and full of flavor, and breakfast the next morning was cooked to perfection and a wonderful start to the day. The team made me feel genuinely welcome throughout. I'd happily stay again next time I'm passing through!

Because of the high temperature and the fact we had the window open wide all night the road noise was a bit intrusive but not enough to stop is sleeping

Staff were friendly, and clearly got on with each other as well, which is always nice to see - especially when they are having to work so hard during busy periods.

Very minor points: the door lock/handle (integral) was worn and fiddly to operate; the tv was HD capable but had no obvious (to me!) means of receiving an HD signal via the remote control menu.

Part of a lovely pub which served great food. Went on a Tuesday night and they had their weekly quiz night which was fun - thanks Sally!

The breakfast and the service provided by the Manageress on Sunday morning were excellent

The room was a little tired. The woodwork needs refreshing. The bed and linen were very comfortable and clean but the bathroom was a little cramped. However the shower was good and we had a nice stay.

Staff were superb - they went above & beyond and posted me back my travel pouch I accidentally left behind. Breakfast was very good.

Room - I've had the same room over 3 times - the shower pressure , height of the shower area, were all poor. Mattress was saggy.

Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent mattress and bed linen. Plenty of storage space with good-sized wardrobe and sufficient number of hangers inside. Really good value for the room on offer.

Cooked breakfast (full English) was spot on-with good quality ingredients which had been well cooked. However so-called “continental breakfast” sadly not on a par with those experienced elsewhere. No fresh bread, rolls or pastries laid out, no honey-only jam or marmalade, shortage of fresh fruit, no porridge-pre-packaged cereals only. A “game of two halves” as regards the breakfast on offer. But still a very enjoyable stay.

We were staying in an upstairs room at the front of the property, due to it being so hot we needed to have the window open and had very disturbed sleep as the road is very busy throughout the night. Only 2 plug sockets in the room so had to keep swapping them over for charging, TV, kettle and fan.

Nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds, nice shower, lovely towels. They even supplied a fan as it was so hot. Quiet location, 10/15 minute walk from the town centre. We ate in the pub in the evening and the food was very good. Lovely staff. Great breakfast in the morning.

Felt like a home from home, the staff's customer service was the best experience I've had in a long time, better than some 5* hotels I've stayed in. Basic accommodation, I stayed 2 nights, but comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. I would definitely return.

I'm waiting for a knee operation. Some of the steps were quite deep, so I was negotiating them with caution.

Het mooie oude Engelse hotel en vriendelijk personeel. Goed Engels ontbijt. Helaas geen naturel yoghurt voor het continental ontbijt. Alleen een gezoet yoghurtje. Prettige sfeer in het hotel. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening, ook bij het avond eten.

Slechte wifi! Bedden waarvan de vering plopte en die hun langste tijd wel gehad hebben. Enkel glas, voor de kamers langs de weg wel gehorig m.b.t het verkeer. ( Voor 3 van ons,) Erg kleine kamer en uitzicht op een heel klein achter plaatsje. (Voor twee van ons). Ook erg warm, de zon scheen op onze kamer overdag. Geen airco. Wat betreft continental ontbijt weinig keuze.

The Inn was the by far the cheapest option in the wider area. Many other places were asking silly prices. It was convenient to have a pub restaurant on site. The pub food was tasty, but of a limited range. Being on the edge of town, the Inn was easy to find and access with plenty of parking spaces. We had road-facing rooms, but traffic was fairly light and I wasn't disturbed by road noise. The cooked breakfast was good, with a few cold items in addition.

Our rooms were simple and functional, but had everything I needed, except air-conditioning - it was May and the nights were cool enough that we were comfortable enough to sleep well, but on really warm nights the lack of air-conditioning might be a problem

Hotel Manager was a DELIGHT! She made us feel so welcome and was extremely attentive... even to things we didn't realize we would need, like a table reservation on a busy Quiz night! Dinner at the pub was excellent and the breakfast the next morning was also delicious and very generous.
