I loved our stay at Shaloha Guesthouse! The view of the ocean was spectacular! I could watch my husband surf Supertubes right from my bedroom balcony! The bed was very comfortable and our room was clean and spacious. The house was well stocked and professionally decorated. The staff were also very kind and courteous. I felt very safe in the house and neighborhood. I would love to return and stay here again!

I have always stayed in a hotel or Airbnb where you have the entire space to yourself. This was the first time I stayed in a guest house before - where you share the space with other travelers. For the most part, it was very comfortable and quiet. Most guests kept to themselves. I just found it a little strange when a guest arrived and 1 person slept in the bedroom and the other person slept on the common area great room couch. I didn't realize a guest could do that. It made it awkward coming home from dinner and waking up in the morning. I suppose it varies each time with each set of guests.

Amazing place with a beautiful view and great modern interior. The especially loved having a huge terrace, a braai and immediate access to a beautiful beach. I can highly recommend this place and would always come back if going to Jeffreys Bay again. We saw dolphins every morning from our room

Das Zimmer unten links ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen im Vergleich zu den anderen Zimmern.

Ein wundervoll großzügige und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Appartement in bester Lage mit Blick auf die Supertubes.

Delphine direkt vom Balkon aus zu sehen. Zimmer sehr ordentlich und gepflegt.

Het uitzicht was echt zo mooi. De kamer was prachtig en groot. Het personeel was super aardig. We hebben enorm genoten!

Unglaublich schöne Lage mit Blick über das Meer, wir sahen jeden Tag Delfin-Schwärme und Surfer, die sich in den Wellen tummeln. Grosszügige Zimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche, mehrere Sofaecken und grosse Grillstelle auf der Veranda. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Es war alles hervorragend!

Unser Aufenthalt im Shaloha Guesthouse hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Im Milkwood Zimmer erwartete uns ein großzügiger Raum mit vielen Möglichkeiten, um den wunderschönen Ausblick zu genießen. Täglich haben wir morgens und abends Delphine direkt vom Balkon aus gesehen. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man hat reichlich Platz zum Kochen und kann draußen auf der Terrasse beim Wellenrauschen das Essen genießen. Nur ein paar Meter zu Fuß ist auch ein Supermarkt, ATM, Apotheke und ein Restaurant. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Frühstück im nahegelegenen African Perfection - so gutes Essen hatten wir die ganze Südafrika Reise über nicht. Von der Terrasse aus hat man direkt Zugang zum Meer.

Het uitzicht vanuit je kamer zo op de dolfijnen is geweldig!! De kamer is ruim en netjes! Heerlijk dat je een balkon hebt. Het huis beschikt over een grote luxe keuken waar je gebruik van kunt maken.

Great accommodation overlooking the beach. We were made very welcome by the host. Lots of beautiful communal areas to relax in. A definite recommended in Jeffreys bay.

The owner really puts a personal touch on every aspect of this place. They are thoughtful and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. I loved everything about it,EVERYTHING!!! Whether you want to go to the beach or go to out for dinner, they will make that experience worthwhile☺️

Tolle Lage, die Aussicht war absolut gigantisch.

Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Mobiliar etc. ist schon etwas abgenutzt. Das Bett ist etwas kurz für Leute von 1,92m. Die moderne Küche wäre gut geeignet, morgens ein Frühstücksbuffet anzubieten, denn niemand kocht dort sein jeweils eigenes Süppchen.

alles sehr gut 👍 frühstücken muss man zwar ausserhalb, was aber nur um die ecke ist und überhaupt kein problem. sehr gutes frühstück bei african perfection! jederzeit gerne wieder! 😊

Top Lage an den Supertubes

Das Haus war gut gelegen und die Zimmer schön hergerichtet.

Das Bad und das Haus selbst sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und hellhörig. Es ist wirklich okay, aber wir hatten für gleiches Geld bessere Unterkünfte in Südafrika

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage direkt am Meer. Man kann von der Unterkunft Surfer und Delfine beobachten. Das Haus ist wirklich toll, liebevoll eingerichtet und hat alles was man benötigt. Im Gemeinschaftsbereich sind sowohl oben als auch unten Sitzgelegenheiten und eine große Küche, die sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Wir hatten das Zimmer unten mit Meerblick und konnten aus dem Bett heraus die Delfine sehen - das war super schön. Vom Gemeinschaftsbalkon im oberen Stock konnte man auch den Sonnenaufgang beobachten. Das Personal in de Unterkunft ist ebenfalls sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir würden wieder kommen. Wer auswärts Essen möchte: es gibt 5 Minuten zu Fuß ein Restaurant (Ninas Real Food). Für alles andere muss man entweder ein Auto nutzen oder für umgerechnet 2-3 Euro mit dem Taxi (Visitenkarten liegen in der Unterkunft) fahren. Das haben wir gemacht und das hat hervorragend geklappt.

An der ein oder anderen Stelle war das Mobiliar ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen.

Super süßes Zimmer - mit allem was man benötigt. Alles sehr sauber.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The staff was always so kind and friendly. The rooms were so lovely decorated and clean. There were a big kitchen to share with the rest of the guests and you had everything you need to cook. The view to the sea was absolutely amazing. We would have loved to stay longer. We can definitely recommend it and would come back. I also want to add, that we forgot a wallet there, but just remembered it to late. We didn’t had the chance to come back, so we contact the host via WhatsApp. The contact was absolutely lovely and she just send it back to Germany a few days after. The service was really amazing and so kind.

Shaloha Guest House is an excellent place to stay at Jeffreys Bay. The communal areas and bedrooms are spacious and all in excellent condition. Tea, coffee fruit and cakes are all provided. The manager, Prudence, is very helpful and courteous. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We were late to check-in but the host was so nice and ask us to take our time and drive safely. The view is stunning.

Loved the bedroom and views of the beach, closeness to the sea. The facilities in kitchen were amazing, the help offered by Prudence was great.

The single chairs in the lounge need recovering and baskets on top of cupboards need to be thrown out

Everything was superb, our large room upstairs with plenty of storage space, a lovely comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The balcony view was amazing and had table and chairs and sunbeds. Prudence who looked after us was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The property has two lounge areas with big sofas and sea view balconies. You have access to a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, so we could make our own breakfast and even dinner if you choose to. Prudence was helped by Thando (apologies if I've got the name wrong) and again she was so friendly and helpful. Zandra also came to meet us to make sure we were happy with everything. If you are visiting Jeffrey's Bay, this is definitely the place to stay.

The location of the house and therefore the view is more than beautiful, it is incredible. You have a clear view of the ocean. In addition to the room, you can use a small library, living room, kitchen, garden and fireplace room. The service team is very friendly and helpful. You can have breakfast right around the corner. 100m further on the beach there is a great breakfast buffet. We felt very, very comfortable. Thank you so much.

The bed is so comfortable with an electric blanket if needed, there’s also air conditioner which makes the room so warm. During our stay it was windy and raining, these came in handy. The kitchen is so beautiful, we used it to make our own breakfast…so modern. God!! the view is sooo BEAUTIFUL this is the reason we booked. I’m afraid will be coming back in warmer days. I forgot about surfers 🏄 it’s so beautiful to watch them right from the comfort of our room. How nice 😊 We loved everything about the house, don’t hesitate just BOOK, it’s worth it.

We love going back to Shaloha Guest House. Lovely spacious room with a great view onto the surf. Lovely bed. Great location close to all the restaurants.

Location is superb.

We just loved the place. From our room, we had an amazing view over the ocean. The room is very well equipped. Also, this place is suitable for winter: our room has no humidity, and the heating works well. Prudence was very friendly and helped us. Thank you ! Finally, we used the common facilities, i.e., the kitchen. Once again, it is very, very well equipped, and there is a grocery store just next door.

We had an absolutely exceptional stay. Huge thank you to Zandra for welcoming us to this epic house overlooking Supertubes. The views are incredible, the house is perfectly decorated and secure, the bed was so comfortable — we did not want to leave! This is a special place.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! We were celebrating our honeymoon and we had a gorgeous ocean facing balcony, the room came with bathrobes & a mini fridge so we could chill our champagne. The room was fantastic! The staff were so friendly and we happened to be the only guests so it was very private and quiet. The communal kitchen looked lovely. Breakfast was only a few steps away at another building but you could definitely make your own in the kitchen. I highly recommend staying here.

This review is relatively objective being my 17th road trip staying at 18 properties over a 43 night period. I stayed solo for 7 nights in March, this being a return visit. Efficient and welcoming staff. Relatively easily found with secure parking available. The very high standards experienced in all areas on my first visit have been maintained. This large and relaxingly luxurious house is in a perfect position overlooking the Supertubes surfing beach. All top class amenities for self catering are present. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Great selection of books in the large library. My large Oceanic room on the top floor had stunning views out over the beach and sea - the deck being perfect for early morning sunrise coffee or something stronger at sunset. Luxurious bed linen and well equipped. An inverter provided sufficient back up power during load shedding. Good WiFi throughout. If J Bay is on my itinerary in 2025 I’ll be back in a flash! Highly recommended.

The staff were unbelievable. So friendly, warm and helpful. The room was gorgeous and clean and had everything we needed. The location was epic. To see the surf we didn’t have to go down to the beach… we could decide straight from our balcony if the surf was good enough to catch a wave or two! Unreal experience and will definitely stay at Shaloha again on our next trip to JBay!!

The view of the location was stunning and we really enjoyed the direct beach access as well as our big terrace. The room was very spacious. The guesthouse itself was furnished and decorated with lots of love for details as part of the communal spaces. There is a fireplace that gets prepped for you in the evening to enjoy some time on the communal terrace. Even marshmallow sticks were offered in the kitchen. Breakfast is only available at a café in close distance.

Not the most modern location but everything was maintained well.

Zandra is the perfect host in this gem of a guesthouse. Her staff are so lovely and keep the whole place pristine. The shared kitchen areas are amazingly well kitted out and dining beside the fireplace outside in the evening is so magical that we haven’t tried a restaurant in JBay for dinner! Everything about this place is 5+star.

This very nice and comfortable guest house is located directly to the beach. Living room, kitchen and terrace are well appointed and offer a lot of space and comfort. The view from terrace and garden at the sea, especially at the rising sun is incredible! During breakfast we were able to watch the surfers on supertube, and lots of dolphins near to the beach! The next supermarket is just 3 minutes to walk.
