Boomerang Village Resort Kata

It's got a huge hill but it was good for exercise. 😆 Beautiful pool it was a it was a little bit of a walk to the beach but manageable. The Thai restaurant at the entrance of the street is amazing. Might not look like much but incredible favors. We had a great time ☺️

Nice place to stay away from the busy noisy main road. Quite and clean.

The big plus for me was how peaceful and tranquil the place is, also the owners and staff are lovely, sooo helpful, nothing is a problem, so welcoming, they make u feel right at home. I loved my stay there, next time i,m in Kata i will stay there again

Poor experience Lack of facilities in room Air conditioning not working and when they changed the room it was a poor room Break fast was a disappointment with limited choices Staff cannot speak fluent enlish

Horrible stay at this hotel, the worst experience I've had and I travel a lot. After unpacking everything and getting ready for a shower we found a RAT in the shower. Obviously the hotel is situated where there is a lot of vegetation and we figured it could be a one time thing. They gave us another room, luckily without rats, but surprise, the morning after we saw 2-3 of them eating food scraps in the corner floor of the restaurant near the buffet!! About 2 meters away from the staff sitting and having coffee, having obviously dropped food and left it there. Needless to say stay away from this place unless you don't mind the rats everywhere. We told the reception about it and the reply was "yes, we know about the rats but we try to control them...". Also very important to mention is that this hotel is far from everything, it will cost you 4-500bahts one way to get just about anywhere (so a hotel closer to the center but more expensive would be worthwhile) Finally we almost missed our tour in the morning because they tried to reach us but nobody was at the reception even after 7am. I had to run around to try and find someone. The only positive thing is that the decor is really beautiful, with flowers everywhere and a nice pool. Ruined our stay in Phuket.

Beautiful place highly recommend I can definitely see my self returning

Keurig hotel in thaise sfeer. Grote kamer. Goed ontbijt.

We will be back, quality finishing and spacious rooms.

I usually am pretty easy going in terms of hotels, but in this particular instance I had a bad experience that I feel compelled to share. On the second day of our stay, despite keeping the doors religiously closed (there are lots of mosquitos in Thailand), we can into the room to find a rat, the size of my fist, scamper away from my bag and into the room. The hotel sent people to investigate and eventually caught the rat living under a book near the minibar, which squeaked/squealed bloody murder as they took it out. While the manager was nice enough to offer a recleaning of the room, we couldn't stay after that incident and booked another hotel. Other Aspects: while the hotel room was big, it wasn't particularly clean when we entered, with dust covering the ground and some countertops. The sheets (as other guests have mentioned) also had some small stains. At first, I didn't care too much, but in light of finding a rat living behind our fridge, it was clear that the standards were too laxed. I do have to mention that the staff was nice and understanding of our plight, but it was a bit too little, too late. Refund: despite promises to refund us for the two nights we didn't stay, my repeated attempts to get a refund through Expediahave been unsuccessful. Unclear if the hotel is avoiding processing a refund, but I will update if they do.

Gerne wieder

Had 16 relaxing days at BVR, and it was very nice. To get 5 stars it has to improved breakfast which we only had 1 day, due to the poor selection. Aircon didnt work as hoped, even though it showed 20 degree. And even for a Superior Room/Village the bathroom need a slightly upgrade. With that in mind, we would gladly come back to the same place, due to its quiet location. If you are a person with diff in walking, take a tuk or rent a scooter, otherwise youll get very tired goint to the place every day.

A very peaceful and quite hotel on the top of a very long steep hill. It's a perfect get away from all the busy stuff that hits Thailand. Perfect pool with scenery of the mountains and the gardens are perfect.

The landscaping was nice and it has good sized rooms.

Dejligt hotel i rolige omgivelser venligt service minded personale.

friendly and helpful staff, location is a bit out of the action of the main beach areas but wasn't a problem as taxi's readily available. One small point to make is that there was no iron available. Staff pointed me in the direction of a laundry shop, but that's not ideal if you just want to iron a shirt straight out of the suitcase.

We loved the hotel, but wi fi and tv are very bad. Pool is great but it is not easy to protect from the sun. Win is very nice guy !

Good atmosphere. Nice location. Good village resort. Room can be little more comfortable.

WE JUST WANTED A NICE RELAXING STAY AND THAT'S WHAT WE HAD. THE POOL WAS GREAT. THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US. THE LAYOUT MADE SURE EVERYONE HAD GREAT PRIVACY IN THEIR UNIT. THE RESTAURANT FOOD WAS GOOD AND PRICES AS CHEAP AS MOST IN TOWN. THE GARDENS WERE FANTASTIC WITH SO MUCH IN BLOOM. WE WOULD RECOMMEND BOOMERANG VILLAGE TO ANYONE.

I stayed here as a 22yr old female traveling alone and it was just okay. I found myself always dining alone. The sheets were dirty when I got in bed but other than that the room was nice. The hotel staff was nice besides the fact that they didn't inform me that no matter the distance it is the same price for a taxi, for 4 minutes it was 200baht...a little ridiculous. I was leaving very early in the morning and asked to see if there was a breakfast box I could take with me and they confirmed twice that it was possible but then forgot the morning of. It is a beautiful place but more of a couple retreat.

The village is very cute and the staff was extremely pleasant. The room was very cool and comfortable but there was a little bit of a musty/moldy smell. We only stayed one night and we were overall happy with the stay. The breakfast that is included was subpar, but the food in Thailand is so delicious and cheap everywhere, we didn't mind heading out to find breakfast.

Could not have been more pleased with this hotel, it's staff and on-site restaurant. Overall the Boomervang Village far exceeded our expectations in every way. What started out as a two day reservation was extended to four as we re-arranged our travel plans to include a longer stay at this hotel.

Nice refuge away from the crazy beach scene of Kata. Poor internet and nothing done about it after many promises. Breakfast ok. Nice bungalows. TV too small and too far away from bed.

Not for us. Too far away from anything up a very steep hill. Hotel provide courtesy car to and from beach. If you just want to lie by pool in solitude then fine. Buddhas everywhere you looked and people praying all over the place. We found a bit freaky like I said not for us

I have been to a lot of resorts and hotels around south east asia... Boomerang Village Resort has the friendliest and most accommodating staff I've ever had the privilege of meeting. Their service even beats the luxurious hotels in Singapore (zo-zo the receptionist, and james the driver). Praise to the people behind the scenes as well (the cleaners and kitchen crew). Goes without saying that I am coming back with the rest of my family. Rooms are clean and resort is well maintained. Only downside is the AC (too warm)

Excellent hotel: great service, very comfy and charming. Unlike what most people saiy, the location is good and gives calm to the hotel. The hill is not that big... And breakfast is amazing! For a quiet stay with all conveniences in a charming surroundings and not far from activities, you should absolutely go there.

The hotel was lovely very quiet and relaxing. Pool was nice and rooms were nicely set out. There was plenty to eat and drink at breakfast and the staff would do anything to help you.

Loved the private little villas. Well maintained, lovely rooms, grounds and pool are wonderful. Beware if you have mobility issues as it's a steep climb to the hotel and villas. The ocean is quite a distance away (free shuttles to and from the beach) and there is very little "ocean view".

The hotel is neatly tucked away from the craziness of patong. The hotel staff was nice to help book and direct us to all the nice and local things. Hard for tuk this to find nearly got lost for half a hour. The room was clean and decent sized the deluxe rooms bathroom is definitely worth paying more for.

Overall it was a decent stay. The location wasn't the best, it is located on a steep hill a little ways off the main streets. But the staff was accommodating with getting you transportation when you needed it, although their English wasn't very good for the most part. Our room was comfortable enough and breakfast was decent.

Our bed was a little uncomfortable and like other said its a small walk from the beach; however, the staff does a good job of getting you free rides down there. The restaurant at site was quite pricey and not very good. The staff was amazing and got us good deals on trips (thousands of baht less than advertised) and delivered on every request. The grounds were beautiful, despite that stupid hill.

We stayed in a deluxe room (with an extra bed) and found the room more than big enough for 2 adults and a teenager. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice and available until 11h30 was a big plus. The restaurant was also good especially the Thai dishes. We were at the top of the hill but didn't find it a problem. The free transfer to and from Kata beach was a godsend.

overall this resort was very good value for money.staff went out of their way to help, the restaurant was good, the roomies were large and well, set up.Free Wifi was a plus. for first timers like us we didn't know what to expect on out first visit to the beach. A very enjoyable stay.

Hotel had beautiful landscape. It's a quite place to stay with friendly hotel staff. It's ten minutes away from kata beach where hotel provides free scheduled transportation to beach. Decent room with good facillities.free wifi and internet pc available.

Had a really lovely holiday here, the staff are very friendly and helpful, there's a nice pool and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the beach (about 15 minutes), but the hotel also offers a free transfer during the day. The beach was very pretty and the town very nice too - good choice of restaurants and some great food!

Hotel is nice staff were friendly and courteous.

Overall pretty good. Huge room and bed for just me, but it was nice not to be stuck in a small room, just because you are a solo traveller. Bathroom was smallish, but perfectly functional. Good daisy head shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful (where there English allowed). My second room (because I hadn't booked enough nights) was huge and rather excessive for one person, especially the bathroom. Air con never made the room quite cold enough and in the first room was a little noisy. Did have a problem with the safe not working which I did report, just the once and was never fixed, but I am sure they would have done if I'd ask again. Breakfast was fine for me, with quite a variety of fresh fruit. If you were creative you could get quite a lot out of it. One day when I left early before breakfast they made me up a picnic box the night before. Situated on a hill keeps you fit, but the grounds were well tended so you could take plenty of pauses to admire the flowers etc.

We stayed in a pool suite room which was a very nice room for the price. It was very relaxing at the hotel and we had a lovely stay. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. The surrounding neighborhood of the hotel is a let down. At the back you do have a lovely backdrop of the mountains but the walk out of the hotel is not pleasant. As soon as you leave the hotel grounds there is building work going on, lots of dogs roaming around and it is dirty with rubbish. I think this is one of the reasons the hotel is a 3 star rating.

We loved this hotel. It is quite small and although it is a bit out of the way, it was wonderful and so nice to be away from all the hustle of bustle of Phuket. We had a pool suite, so did not have to go very far to relax. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is good. The gardens surrounding look lovely and are kept very well. The only thing I would say is that the pool could be re-tiled in places and the outside shower could be cleaned better.

Very Friendly staff& a quite location to relax

Super dooper friendly staff always there to help. deluxe room was amazingly beautiful and quite large!! Missing it already :)
