Overall, a very comfortable stay in a beautiful place, and I would gladly stay here again. There were just a few small things that could be improved. At times it was a little noisy: doors slamming and people in other rooms talking or snoring were quite audible. At breakfast, having to ask for coffee each time was also a bit annoying. A self-service machine alongside the barista option for those who prefer better-quality coffee would be much more convenient. The coffee itself was actually one of the better parts of the breakfast, as the rest was fairly average. These are relatively minor points though. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

Hotel Cavour is very convenient for central Bologna and down a quiet side street. The new tram stop from the station is very close by, but not sure when the trams start running. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the hallways hot but the rooms' aircon makes them lovely and cool (34° when we visited). Lifts access both sides of the hotel. Our double bed was a super king and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. Complementary bottles of water were in the fridge and there were a range of teas by the kettle. Front desk staff were welcoming and ordered us a taxi, which usually arrives within 10 minutes.

We also booked a single room for our son, which had no kettle/rea/coffee etc. It was in a different part of the hotel reached by a separate lift. The breakfast staff did not clear dirty plates etc from our table during breakfast, so it all got rather crowded. The cooked items at breakfast were limited to only bacon and scrambled egg.

The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of piazza maggiori and shops. Most of the staff were very friendly. The young lady on check in was exceptional as was one of the evening receptionists who gave us great recommendations for restaurants. We ate at Donatello not far away on his advice which was excellent!

Breakfast was a little disjointed and not very well set out. The toaster is in the corner which does not glow. Everyone is stiff around waiting for their toast and blocking the tables.

Beautiful Hotel, the Rooms were Very Spacious and Our Bathroom was Amazing with a Walk-in Waterfall Shower with a Seat.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti nella stanza mansardata n.366 al terzo piano (2 con ascensore e meno di uno con scale). Vi erano un letto matrimoniale ed uno singolo, due piccolissime finestre con tenda ed una finestra sul soffitto con tenda scorrevole automatica. Bagni Senza finestra, ma nuovo. Materassi comodissimi. Colazione a piano terra abbondante ed a buffet internazionale e fino alle 10.30. Posizione eccellente. A piedi dalla stazione poco più di un km. E poi si è in centro. A 5 minuti a piedi da tutto. Abbiamo visitato anche il Mibut, vista anche l'importanza del basket a Bologna. Hotel consigliato in quanto molto funzionale.

Sarebbe una chicca se avessero sistemi di pulizia delle camere con vapore, con aggiunta di oli ad effetto rilassante.

Location is completely amazing to go everywhere by walking. Staff is very available and kind. Our room was amazingly spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is so big. Breakfast is delicious and abundant with fruits, yogurt, juices, bread, cheese and high quality prosciutto!

Perfekt beliggenhed og dejligt store værelser! Vil helt sikkert booke her igen næste gang, jeg tager til Bologna. Morgenmaden var, som man nu kan forvente, men gav en fin start på dagen for en skandinaver, som ikke blot kan nøjes med en espresso og en cornetto ligesom de lokale.

Zentrale Lage in ruhiger Seitenstraße. Großes geräumiges geschmackvolles Dachzimmer mit modernem Badezimmer. Die Klimaanlage war einfach zu bedienen. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal.

Excellent accommodation in the central area, with a supermarket, restaurants, and shops just a few steps away. The room was comfortable, breakfast was varied, and the staff was helpful. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful, centrally-located hotel. Short walk to just about everything, the main piazza, restaurants, bars, shopping. The room was beautiful and clean.

Would like to have had more vegan options available for breakfast. They made us some vegan croissants one morning, but then we didn't see them again the rest of our trip. It would be nice to always have vegan options available and clearly labeled.

Spacious and comfortable room, gracious, helpful and pleasant staff. Perfect location for accessing everything we wanted to see.

It would have been nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. This is not a major factor for us, however.

Das Hotel ist bereits renovierungsbedürftig.In unserem Zimmer sahen die Wände etwas mitgenommen aus und der Geruch war nicht gerade angenehm,vielleicht wurde dort früher geraucht,oder vielleicht lag es daran,dass eine Renovierung tatsächlich notwendig ist.Das Frühstück war nicht besonders gut.

Ausgezeichnete Lage, um Bologna zu erkunden. Das Doppelzimmer bot ausreichend Platz und war sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war komfortabel.

Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

El hotel es precioso, muy bien ubicado, super limpio y con personal amable y atento. No puedo quejarme de nada. El desayuno fue más completo de lo que me esperaba, con platos calientes como tortitas, huevos revueltos y beicon a parte de las cosas tradicionales como croissants (4 tipos diferentes, embutidos, cereales etc) El hotel cuenta con una terraza interior que es muy bonita donde puedes tomar tu café por la mañana o un cóctel por la tarde (y hay apertivo incluido para picar - focaccia, patatas.) Las habitaciones también tienen una caja fuerte gratis, un baño con una ducha enorme y aire muy fuerte.

Excellent value for money. Good breakfast (fresh fruit, baked goods, local produce... you name it), comfortable room, spacious bathroom, helpful staff. Located in the old town center but very quiet.

Lage super, Frühstück inklusive, Zimmer gut ausgestattet.

Zimmer hätte gründlicher gereinigt sein können, neben dem Kühlschrank in der Ecke lag eine leere Packung Zigaretten. Bett und Bad waren aber sauber und ordentlich. Außerdem ließ sich der Smart-TV nicht benutzen, ohne vorher einen Samsung Account zu erstellen.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν κεντρικότατο, δίπλα σε σούπερ μάρκετ και στην piazza Maggiore.Το τετρακλινο ήταν πολύ ευρύχωρο, το μπάνιο μεγάλο και άνετο, ο κλιματισμός πολύ καλός, το πρωινό ικανοποιητικό χωρίς όμως κάτι το ιδιαιτερο. Ο χώρος της reception πολύ ωραίος και η εσωτερική του αυλή ιδανική για ξεκούραση εάν δεν ειναι οι μέρες του καύσωνα!

Όλα ήταν τέλεια!! Μοναδική παρατήρηση η υπερβολική ζέστη που επικρατούσε στον 3ο όροφο από το ασανσέρ μέχρι το δωμάτιο!

L’emplacement est idéal! Nous étions avec nos deux adolescents et notre chambre quadruplé était immense, avec une chambre séparée pour les enfants . Le petit déjeuner est complet et bon . L’hôtel est situé à 5 minutes à pied d’un parking souterrain et sécurisé.

Πολύ καλές εγκαταστάσεις, κτίριο, κοινόχρηστοι χώροι ευρύχωροι, καθαροί, πολύ φροντισμένοι. Ωραια και πλουσια επιπλωση παντού. Δωμάτιο εξαιρετικό, μεγάλο, ωραια διακοσμηση, πολύ καλή κατάσταση επίπλων, μπάνιο άριστο. Υπηρεσίες καθαρισμού άριστες. Πρωινό πολύ καλό Η τοποθεσία άριστη, πολύ κεντρικά και συγχρόνως πολυ ήσυχα.

Μάλλον θα χρειαστεί ένα βάψιμο στους τοίχους του δωματίου προσεχώς.

Hotel was really nice, lovely room we stayed in nice and big also spare room space for daughter. Loads of towels, nice shower. Good AC, plenty of hanging space and shelf space. Nice staff and great location.

There weren’t any cups for tea you had to order hot drinks as you went into the breakfast room and they were brought to you. Breakfast was continental but very poor my wife can eat anything but she struggled to find things to eat, plenty of cakes, flavoured croissants, mostly sweet items the fruit was solid not cut up like a usual continental spread.

Quartier idéal (commerçant, animé, bien fréquenté), rénovation de qualité et confort exceptionnel. Le personnel, bien qu'en apparence un peu froid, est très compétent ! Le café du petit déjeuner est un régal.

Il faut être difficile pour ne pas apprécier un hôtel de ce standing, mais attention peut-être car il y a des marches dans certaines chambres.

Das ganze Personal war sehr freundlich,es war sauber und die Lage war Perfekt. Alles gut Fussläufig zu erreichen. Frühstück war sehr lecker und es gab frisches Obst. Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert und in den Zimmer hat man von den anderen nix gehört.

Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the historic city centre, but at the same time very quiet. And although it was extremely hot in Bologna during our stay, the hotel and rooms had a very good airconditioning, ideally to relax and sleep well. Friendly & helpful reception, and although in Italy there's maybe not a 'real' breakfast habit, breakfast was varied and extensive.

The bartender was not really an example of proactivity, friendliness or 'customer orientation'. What was also proven on our last day when he was in charge of the breakfast service: unlike the first 2 days where breakfast ran smoothly, many things were not replenished or followed up on. But this is of course only one single point of attention we could think of.
