De rust, mooie omgeving in het groen, het uitzicht, de apen die naast het huis in de bomen spelen. Het grote huis waarin wij verbleven was erg fijn, net als de gastvrijheid van de eigenaar en manager Alif!

Confort des bungalow individuels et gentillesse du personnel, très bel endroit calme à l’écart de la ville, entouré de nature. A recommander absolument mais attention pas de restaurant sur place et il faut avoir un moyen de transport car un peu isolé (grab ok, possibilité de louer scooter ou voiture).

We loved the room and the pool area, it was all so peaceful, watching monkeys have their dinner in the trees whilst we were swimming. Honesty fridge was really useful, although our toddler was a bit put out the freezer had no ice creams! The location is handy for being pretty central, got a grab to the mangrove area in Tanjung Ru really easily.

We knew it was a bit of a remote location and accepted we were going to rely on grab but there wasn't a decent supermarket nearby which was a a shame but not really an issue. We managed to get food and taxis on grab easily. A washing machine would also have been useful!

eine tolle Anlage und sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten auf der Insel ein Auto. Man Grab soll es aber auch ganz gut gehen. Die Empfehlung ist jedoch ein Auto zu mieten. Wir hatten einen Bungalow und der Parkplatz war direkt davor. Die Bungalows sind so gebaut, dass man auf den Nachbarbungalows niemanden einsehen kann. Die Anlage ist sehr zentral gelegen und man kommt mit dem Auto überall schnell hin. Den Pool hatten wir gar nicht genutzt, wir sind immer zum baden nach Tanjung Rhu gefahren. Das war der beste Strand. Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir nochmal nach Langkawi kommen.

Wir hatten Rimba zwei und waren äußerst zufrieden mit der Ausstattung. Alles ist super gut durchdacht und komfortabel . Die Möbel waren alle super, Bett sehr breit und hier haben wir auch sofort eine zweite Decke bekommen. Der Service über WhatsApp mit Alif und Reinhold läuft äußerst gut und schnell in den Antworten. Beide sind sehr hilfsbereit, auch mit Hinweisen zu Restaurants oder Märkten. Von der sehr gut möblierten Terrasse kann man in den Garten schauen und tropische Vögel beobachten und manchmal kommen auch die Affen vorbei, die direkt vor der Terrasse in den Bäumen klettern. Die Stühle auf der Terrasse sind sehr bequem und die Liegen auch und alles ist hochwertig. Der Reinigungsservice funktioniert super auf Anfrage, das Internet funktioniert ganz gut, hat manchmal aber auch seine Schwächen. Der Pool lag 3 Minuten zu Fuß den Hügel hoch und war schön warm und hat tolle liegen davor. Dahinter ist ein Sitzbereich, wo man sich täglich auch das eigene, frisch gefilterte Wasser kostenfrei abholen kann. Im Lounge Bereich, der auch am Pool ist, kann man Getränke wie z.B. Wein, Bier und Knabberkram kaufen. Wir haben uns sehr viel auf der Terrasse aufgehalten, weil man sich in diesem Häuschen einfach sehr sehr wohl fühlt und für sich ist. Insgesamt gibt es auf der Insel recht viele Hunde und die vom Nachbarn hört man natürlich auch hin und wieder jaulen und bellen. Trotzdem haben wir uns die zwei Wochen, die wir hier Urlaub gemacht haben, sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und die Lage war dabei auch top, um Ausflüge in alle Richtungen zu machen.

Majoituimme 10 hengen seureen kanssa kolmessa villassa, suurimmassa Hill Top-villassa sekä kahdessa pienemmässä yhden makuuhuoneen villassa. Hilltop oli sijainniltaan mahtava! Korkean kukkulan päältä avautui upea näköala ja auringonnousut ja -laskut olivat upeita katsoa villan terassilta. Villassa oli hyvä varustetaso kuten mm. vedensuodatin, joten juomavettä ei tarvinnut kantaa kaupasta. Suuri plussa! Viihdyimme loistavasti.

Ei oikeastaan ole huonoa sanottavaa mistään.

Our stay at Ranis Lodge was absolutely wonderful and truly unforgettable. The villas are extremely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, and we especially appreciated the small but very useful details such as lunch/pack boxes for the beach, beach towels, and other essentials that make your stay so easy and relaxed. The villas are designed in a way that gives each guest complete privacy, so you can truly feel at home and fully unwind in your own space. One of the most special parts of staying at Ranis Lodge is the incredible wildlife surrounding the villas. We were lucky to see beautiful monkeys almost daily, a wild civet cat (black with a reddish collar), black hornbills, and an amazing variety of birds in stunning colors—from bright blue to vibrant yellow. We also spotted around five different species of lizards. It all feels very exotic, yet completely safe, adding a magical atmosphere to the experience. The villa owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. A special thank you to Alif, who takes care of the villas—he went above and beyond for us. He helped organize the best tours, arranged massages directly at the villa, and was always ready to assist with anything we needed. We are truly grateful to him for making our stay so smooth and special. We had an amazing time at Ranis Lodge and will carry these memories with us for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, privacy, nature, and a touch of tropical magic 🫶🌴

This place is a gem. If you like Nature, give it a try. The villa has sufficient facilities for your vacation. I even extended my stays for another 5 nights. The team is helpful in accommodating my last minute request.

Отличный отель (комплекс вилл). Находится в уединенном месте. Очень тихо, вокруг совсем нет людей. Условия проживания отличные, хороший ремонт, в виллах есть все необходимое. Отличный вид с террасы. Персонал очень приветливый, решают все вопросы. Проживание имеет смысл только со своим транспортом или на такси, вокруг особо ничего нет кроме леса и полей.

The location is perfect to visit the main attractions of the island. As family, we really enjoyed the calm and the feeling to be in the middle of the jungle. Special thanks to Alif and the owner: nice people with a very human attitude.

Meilleur souvenir de la Malaisie ! Établissement très bien entretenu, villa spacieuse avec tous les équipements nécessaire ! Vue incroyable que se soit de la piscine ou à la villa ! Et enfin, toute l’équipe d’Alif (Dont Scott le chien) était très accueillant, serviable et souriant !

La camera e la location sono davvero incredibili, sembra di trovarsi in un piccolo resort immerso in una giungla privata. La piscina e l’area con le amache sono splendide, perfette per rilassarsi per qualche ora. Ho apprezzato molto anche la possibilità di prendere bevande e snack dal frigo e lasciare i soldi nel cassetto delle mance: un servizio onesto e comodissimo. Bellissimo anche il piccolo sentiero privato che attraversa la giungla, ideale per una passeggiata immersiva tra suoni e colori tropicali. Durante la nostra passeggiata abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere uno scoiattolo gigante malese e un Throated Kingfisher, un’esperienza davvero speciale.

Ci sono molti insettini nelle camere, ma, essendo immersi nella natura, è normale e non è certo responsabilità del personale. Il parcheggio, rispetto ad alcune unità, può risultare un po’ distante, ma la passeggiata per raggiungere la casa è piacevole, circondata dal verde. Il prezzo è leggermente più alto rispetto ad altre strutture della zona, ma abbastanza in linea con l’esperienza offerta.

Tout était parfait ! L'appartement est super mignon, propre avec une grande terrasse. La piscine fait rêver. Un petit coin de paradis au calme. Les hôtes sont supers sympas. 😁

Un très bel endroit bordé par la forêt où l’on peut apercevoir des singes. Très bonne situation pour visiter l’île. Notre maison était juste super dans ce petit havre de paix. Le personnel était fort sympathique et Alif aux petits soins pour nous. Merci pour ce moment

De villa’s zijn gevestigd in een mooie omgeving. Een ruim uitgezette plek met apart staande huisjes, trouwens niet echt villa’s te noemen. Je kunt heel goed je terugtrekken uit de drukte en afzonderen van de mensen. Personeel is erg beleefd en vriendelijk.

Er is totaal geen schoonmaak aanwezig. Je moet dus echt alles zelf doen. Denk aan het schoonmaken van een toilet, stofzuigen of opruimen. Hiernaast is er geen fysiek toezicht, alles gaat via de app. Mocht je vragen hebben stel je deze via de app. De inrichting van de huisjes zijn prima, maar dat is dan ook goed omschreven. Zeker dus niet een uitstekende huisje waar alles zeer goed is. De bedden zijn wat gedateerd, geld ook voor de inrichting. Qua faciliteiten is er bijna niets in en rondom De huisjes. Denk aan je ontbijt of een kleine snack die je zou willen halen snel is er niet. De hygiëne heb ik al een beetje aangestipt. Uiteraard moet je zelf zorgen voor je eigen schone omgeving maar basis schoonmaak verwacht je van een accomodatie zeker als deze zo goed is beoordeel?! De zwembad is echt aan de kleine kant, ik weet niet hoe dit zou passen als alle huisjes gebruik zouden willen maken van het zwembad. Elk voordeel heeft ook een nadeel. Zoals ik zei zijn de huisjes in het natuur wat de natuurlijk vrienden ook uitnodigt in je huis. We zijn hiervan bewust maar als deze accomodatie uitstekend is beoordeeld mag het niet zo zijn dat mieren en andere ongedierte in huis moeten kunnen komen. De omschrijving doet voor netals het het een paradijs is en de beoordeling zegt dat alles uitstekend is. Ik ben iemand die veel reist en echt veel verschillende accomodaties in verschillende landen in de wereld heb gezien. Ik zou deze accomodatie hoopt een prima voldoende, een 6,5 a 7 geven en dat heeft meer te maken met de omgeving.

Road is quite small so would not take anything bigger than small car / scooter - not a major issue though!

The villa was absolutely perfect – from the top-notch facilities to the breathtaking views, everything exceeded our expectations. I stayed for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was incredibly relaxing, tucked away from the city, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in nature. Our hosts, Reinhold and Alif, were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to assist us throughout our stay. My mum, sister, and the kids had a wonderful time too. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful environment, high up in nature. The rooms are well thought and the pool and relaxing area just lovely. Be aware that you need your own transport or to use Grab as you’re too far to walk to amenities. That’s what makes it so peaceful and special.

Loved everything. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Very happy with the stay there. Recommend everyone to stay there. The next time I’m going to Lamgkawi definitely staying here again.

Beautiful surroundings, great property manager, good TV Channel options and very quiet & private. It was great to see Reinhold again.

The bed mattress gave me a sore back but otherwise everything was excellent. We had a couple of minor issues but the property manager fixed them immediately.

The location and facilities are superb, a quiet, peaceful and natural garden setting in the middle of Langkawi foothills, with a southerly aspect and views through the trees. The staff are all very helpful and strive to make your stay a special and memorable one.

Ranis Lodge does not provide meals although rooms have small but well equiped kitchenettes. You will definitely need a scooter or car to get around the island and either eat out at numerous location choices or visit the local mini or larger supermarkets - the staff at Ranis Lodge can help you with your scooter/car hire needs.

Total relaxation! The views are magical from every room as well as when seated in the outside area. We loved watching the wildlife especially the monkeys. The beds and pillows are very comfortable with modern bathroom and kitchen. We also hired a car at a reasonable price. You’re right in the centre of the island which makes ideal if you’re wanting to explore the island. What made Ranis Lodge extra special was Alif. Always a WhatsApp away and always ready to help with any queries. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to return.

Everything perfect

This stay was an absolute 10 out of 10!! We enjoyed everything; the pool was great, the facilities and love and attention they had for guests were also very pleasant; we could rent scooters at the location, had lovely tips to do on the island, and the apartment had everything! We even spotted a rare species of monkeys just in front of our apartment, such a special experience!

Absolutely amazing place! You can feel that the owner and manager really cares about their guests and their comfort. Its such an amazing and gorgeous place to relax, the property itself is beautiful and surrounding views are pristine! One of the best places we stayed ever! So many trees, flowers! One of the best things that sometimes wild monkeys migrate through the property and you can see tens of them jumping through the trees. Very much recommend and will definitely comeback!

It’s an amazing property, laid out exceptionally well so that each villa feels very private. Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The villas have everything you might need for any length of stay. The pool and public areas are a dream for relaxation. We loved the location, just far enough from the busy area but close enough to be really easy to get anywhere. The host, Rheinhart and the staff are lovely - Alif was such a great help arranging a vehicle for us and always ready to help with anything. It’s quiet and peaceful and it was a joy staying here.

Incredible accommodation, deep in nature. The vibe is absolutely amazing, we have rarely been in a more peaceful and lovely place! On top the WiFi is good enough for video calls, everyone is super friendly and the pool area is a dream. We’ll ve back!

The peace and tranquility is second to none. In the middle of nowhere with only the sound of nature to listen to.

Nothing whatsoever

We chose Ranis Lodge as we wanted to try self catering for a longer stay in Langkawi. It exceeded our expectations as it was so easy to get anywhere on the island by car (maximum 25 minutes) and the facilities were so good and the staff so helpful. Reinhold (the owner) and Alif (the property manager) were delightful: so friendly and always willing to help organise trips or help with suggestions for shopping or restaurants. We also hired a car through them and honestly was the easiest car rental we’ve ever experienced! We were at the lodge, with hire car, within 40 minutes of landing…. And drop off was equally easy. The lodges are so well designed and set apart for maximum privacy. We chose a “jungle villa” near the entrance rather than the pool as we wanted a bit more space . We loved the tranquility and seeing and hearing the birds and monkeys around the grounds. The pool was lovely… never a problem finding a sunbed to relax on the days we didn’t go exploring. And the honesty bar with chilled beers and wines and soft drinks at very reasonable prices was a definite bonus! The bathroom was great with a walk in shower (also an outdoor shower in our villa) and the kitchen had a fantastic large fridge/freezer and lovely cutlery and china (very upmarket for a holiday home). There are many supermarkets in Langkawi (the larger ones very good, smaller ones more interesting!) so it wasn’t difficult to self cater and of course duty free shops to buy reasonable wine and beer. We love walking in the early mornings and the walk from Ranis down to the paddy fields was just gorgeous. We have a feeling that we may join the list of many repeat guests!

Everything really exceeded our expectations so we are nit-picking here… but perhaps for a longer period of self catering a wok would have been useful (we only had 2 saucepans and a frying pan for the hob). Maybe an oven/airfryer too (although there is a microwave) ? The fridge was large and very cold so it was perfectly possible to stock up and do some proper cooking in the evenings so some more equipment would be welcome. We loved the idea of a second (outdoor) shower but only having cold water made us stick with the indoor one! It would have been nice to have a few more restaurants to walk to, but the restaurant scene in Langkawi is very fluid so maybe a few more may open up in the future… . We were very happy with a fantastic local recommendation (Pia’s the Paddy) about 10 minutes drive for a couple of special evenings when we didn’t want to cook and there were many just a few minutes further and local roadside food stalls nearer. We often saw our neighbours going out to get takeaway food.

Very nice accommodation! The houses are really good and the environment is peaceful. We really loved the swimming pool. Also the staff and manager Alif is very friendly and helpful. The location is in the middle of the island, so a scooter or grab is necessary to travel around. But you can hire a scooter at the accommodation for a fair price.

We knew it when we booked, so it's not a minus, but it would have been nice that a breakfast or evening meal was possible. Because now, you always need to travel to eat.

What an unbelievably amazing place to stay! The staff were fantastic! So Kind and helpful and went above and beyond to help us with everything, to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The villa was beautiful. The view from the verandah was amazing. The best part of all was the pool. It was the perfect temperature. The whole place felt very homely and personal. We were extremely comfortable. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed at!

Ranis Lodge is much more than an escape to nature, it is a total immersion experience. During our wonderful five night stay, in a very comfortable and well equipped detached lodge, (even supplying cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea - very useful) we were surrounded by an amazing forest landscape, which also served as a hangout for a small family of monkeys. The accommodation was fully booked yet we rarely encountered any other guests and this added to the overall feeling of space and tranquility. The peace and quite was heaven. The staff were helpful, dedicated and extremely passionate about their ongoing environmental project. A huge thanks to Mr Alif and his team who ensured we settled in well and had everything we needed. Amenities include an infinity pool, sun loungers with umbrellas, covered seating areas with a small library. The overall vibe of Ranis Lodge is summed up by the honesty box payment system in the bar area. We were sad to leave such a natural oasis of calm and relaxation. This is definitely one resort that we plan to revisit and stay longer.

Perfect getaway, resort is lovely and the staff was perfect. Special thanks to Aliff who was so accomodating. Location is centralized to the attractions, however it might be a bit challenging if you aren't planning on driving/riding and relying on grab. FYI if you're thinking of renting a car whilst you're in Langkawi, do it through Aliff instead as he knows the reputable companies.

Peaceful location within nature and luxuriously comfortable. We stayed in the bungalow which was incredibly spacious and tastefully decked out. Much bigger than expected with a fantastic terrace overlooking the island - huge vista of mountains, forests etc. Sighted cute Duksy Leaf monkeys at play straight from the terrace. Everything worked perfectly. Ceiling fans and air con in every room, even ceiling fans on the terrace - amazing. The communal hang out with its hammocks and cool breeze and view of the pool was a chill place to lounge in too. Alif, the manager was so kind and helped us with scooters and booked us a Mangrove Tour. Wish we could’ve stayed here for our entire time in Langkawi but alas it was fully booked (unsurprisingly). Highly recommend.

The villas were great and the pool area was a perfect spot to chill, with hammocks and an honesty bar. Highlight was the friendliness and attitude of the staff, who sorted everything we wanted.

It’s a shame that the restaurant/breakfast service closed last year. Would’ve been nice to have the option and I’m sure the food would’ve been great. The location was great for us to explore (a car/scooter is an absolute must), but it’s a bit further away from the beaches/mountain spots than many of the other options.

We do not even know where to start . The location is tranquil and at the same time central to every interesting part of the island. The bungalows are perfectly equipped , very clean and modern. Located in a fabulous garden. You can just sit, relax and watch wildlife on your doorstep. Now the most important part to us was - a bunch of fantastic people we came across while staying in the Lodge: Reinhold and his staff is absolutely fantastic - helpful in every possible way and easily reachable. They arranged for us a very well priced little car to enjoy the island - well worth having. We would highly recommend the place . Reinhold, and all the fabulous people at the Lodge - one more time - thank you for having us :) we are missing the place and you guys already . Best wishes. Lukasz and Aleksandra .

A calm place to relax surrounded by jungle. If you want to stay in the nature and not in the touristic area then come to the lodge. Very friendly and helpful staff that makes your stay perfect. The villas are clean and well equipped with a kitchen.

Beautiful one of a kind stay in an eco lodge. Beautiful location, very relaxing taking in the views and open air layout of the communal leisure/recreational zone. Perfectly situated away from the busy parts of town but still central enough for all parts of the island to remain accessible.

The roads were undergoing maintenance and the road leading up to the driveway was blocked multiple times during our stay, requiring us to wait 5-10 mins at a time for the workers to make space.
