Ouklip Place Hotels

Good location, beautiful area. Very central and convenient for shopping. The place is attractive, well taken care of. The staff is friendly. Everything is clean and tidy.

I slept on a king-size bed made of 2 beds. The alignment was not good. The centre was higher than the ends and I kept on rolling from one side to the other. I ended up sleeping diagonally to keep the balance. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Traveled in as an international guest from Europe. Room was very spacious, more than I imagined. Venue was convenient and had a natural vibe to it. Immense credit and gratitude to the manager of the property, Gloria, who was beyond accommodating of all requests at all times of the day at no extra costs. Honestly she was truly wonderful as well as the staff working there.

Bed was uncomfortable. No staff seen since I stopped the previous night. Also no staff in the morning.

Very well organized and professional. Online checking in and when we arrived there, everything was done and ready. A special mention of Gloria, who was very welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth it if one has to stay over in the area.

A very warm welcome. Well-equipped room. There was an air conditioner but I didn't use it because it seems wasteful, just a fan would be enough for May. Good location for access to nature reserves. Kloofendal is reachable by foot, and Walter Sisulu botanical gardens a short car ride away. It is even possible to reach the former and to get closer to the latter through the Little Falls reserve, which is not nearly as well maintained as the other two.

This wasn't my goal but this is not the place to stay if you want to visit the city center.

Friendly host and clean room. There was enough secure parking and the beds were comfortable.

An extra mirror in the room would have been nice.

The place is nice and cosy. Good for relaxation and taking a breather. The staff was very nice, the lady even suggested a movie for me to watch, which was very nice. There's backup power during loadshedding.

The friendliness of Gloria, cleanliness of the room, the garden and pool area. This is by far the best B&B I ever stayed in. Ouklip Place exceeded my expectations, the service was out of this world, even better than those of hotels. The list is just endless!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ouklip and would like to thank Gloria, my host, and Jane, my room service assistant, for providing me with exceptional service. From the very first day, I felt comfortable and at home. As a stressed-out UNISA student, it was comforting to know that I could return to my relaxing room after a long day of practicals. I really loved staying at Ouklip because it's such a peaceful area. It made my stay even more enjoyable! I plan on visiting again during the summer so that I can take advantage of the swimming pool as well. Baie Dankie Ouklip

The lady at the reception was very welcoming and always willing to help. She went an extra mile to ensure my stay was good. If you are a UNISA student this place will be perfect for you. Place was clean and there was no noise.

BEST guest house / bnb I have stayed in ever! The hostess/manager is the friendliest and most helpfull person ever, she is most definitely the heart and soul of ouklip place. Spar is basically walking distance. I came here for practicals at Unisa campus, it is very close by and would highly recommend for students who want a quite atmosphere to study! Back up power is also supplied during load shedding even the wifi works! I will recommend this place to anyone in Roodepoort and will be staying only at Ouklip everytime I need to come to Roodepoort. It is truely your money's worth! The rooms are also extremely beautiful and comfortable! I slept like a rock! Rooms get cleaned daily so after a long day of class I didnt even get back to a dirty room! Truely I would rate this place 6 starts out of 5 !

We had nothing not to like

We loved the location, the modern interior of the room, and the facilities and amenities that were available were enough to ensure we had a comfortable stay. A huge highlight was the back up power supply, it meant we were not in complete darkness and we could still entertain ourselves. We were also grateful that we could take nice warm showers even though the area was facing water restrictions during the time of our stay. Above all we are so grateful to Gloria our host, and we appreciate her excellent and attentive hosting🙂

This is my second time booking Ouklip… What excite me about the place is their continuous improvements and maintenance of the place… very clean spaces. With the current water shutdown I was very impressed to find Ouklip having both Power backup and Borehole water for their guests. In the middle of the crisis the country is facing, at ouklip it felt so normal. It was very hard to check out from this beautiful and quiet place. Thanks for unlimited WiFi.
