Reviewed Feb 10, 2026Lovely place, peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a beautiful coastal path nearby offering stunning ocean views. The kitchen is fully equipped, and for longer stays there’s the option to do laundry, including access to an electric dryer. The host is very helpful and welcoming. The airport is just a short distance away, yet you can’t hear any aircraft noise. In short, it’s perfect both for a one-night stay and for a longer visit.

Reviewed Oct 31, 2025I only stayed for one night, but it was such a lovely experience. Iris was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. She even offered to drive me to the airport in the morning, which was so thoughtful. I felt very comfortable and truly welcomed — thank you, Iris, for making my stay so pleasant!

Host Iris was also very accommodating in many ways. The shared kitchen and living room were spacious, well-equipped and clean. Wish we could stay longer.
The room was really small with limited space for moving around.

I had a bit of difficulty finding the place due to other two places sharing similar address in the region. A quick call to the host solved the issue.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2025Krásně ubytování na klidném místě poblíž Alesund. Rezervováno jsme na poslední chvíli, majitelka byla velmi ochotná a nápomocná. V objektu je i kuchyňka a je možné zde zakoupit i základní potraviny pro přípravu vlastní snídaně/večeře.

Der Weg von der Straße zur Unterkunft ist für mich problematisch gewesen, kein Asphalt.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025Fijne, rustige locatie met ruim parkeergelegenheid. Kamer, bed en douche in orde. Gezamenlijke ruimte met bankstel, eettafel en keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Aardige gastvrouw. Op 5 minuten rijden zit een pizzeria die prima is.
Kleine tip: in de gezanenlijke ruimte vond ik maar 1 vrij stopcontact voor mijn laptop. Als er meerdere gezinnen zijn is dit misschien wat beperkt.

Reviewed Aug 20, 202510/10 Rimelig og veldig bra standard. Selvbetjent inn og utsjekk (såfall når jeg kom sent og dro tidlig), veldig greit å ikke måtte bruke tid på dette. Veldig bra tilgang på parkering.
Mulighet for å lade elbil hadde vært kjekt, slik at jeg kunne begynt kjøreturen videre dagen etterpå med 100 % batteri, dette ville jeg glatt betalt 150-200,- for pr. påbegynte lading, da jeg da hadde sluppet tid på hurtiglading dagen etterpå. Jeg vil likevel understreke at jeg ikke anser mangel på elbillader som en negativ faktor; Jeg visste allerede om på forhånd at de sannsynligvis ikke hadde dette tilbudet, og er jo en kostbar investering.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2025Very close to the airport and a 5 minute drive. The host Iris was amazing and very helpful. The rooms had a shared dining room with facilities to cook and we picked up stuff for a lovely breakfast. The rooms are small but we enjoyed a good night’s sleep having arrived well past 1 AM and were welcomed by Iris. She also dropped me off to pick up my rental car at the airport in the morning.

But what truly made this stay unforgettable was our wonderful host. She wasn’t just welcoming; she treated us like family. When i needed groceries, she insisted on driving us in her own car to the store, and on the day of our departure, she personally took me all the way to the airport. These are not just acts of kindness — they are moments that stay with you. I know I will come back here, if only to see her again and thank her in person for the warmth and generosity she so freely shared with me.

Reviewed Jul 31, 2025The area is just amazing: calm and beautiful surroundings. The kitchen and common area are equipped with everything you need and you really want just to sit there and enjoy yourself. And the terrace is extra benefit for a cup of coffee in the morning. The room is tidy and cozy as well, no noises, despite on other travelers. What will you see from your window is just nature, or like me - dear, stares at me from outside:) I would definitely say it’s not only for one night stay, it’s for sure for a couple of days, so you can enjoy a coastal walk or run, you can hike there as well. And it’s super comfortable to take a bus from the main road just 1 min walk to the bus stop to the Alesund center. And the bus ride is all about 50 min beautiful view. And hospitality of Iris is just beyond the words: always in contact, helpful with everything, checked me in after midnight, gave me a lift for hiking, checked me out later with no problem at all. Anytime I am going there, I will definitely stay by Iris. Thank you once again for everything.

Dessverre måtte husvert sette i gang mye gravearbeid rundt på eiendommen når jeg var der, men det var nok utenfor det hun hadde ønsket. Gikk helt greit, og fikk beklagelse for dette. Nå er det ferdig, så neste gjester slipper det😅

Nur 200 Meter davon entfernt erwartet dich eine unglaubliche Meerlandschaft an, phantastisch. Wer gerne Sonnenuntergänge hat ist hier richtig. Hätte gerne noch ein paar Tage hier verbracht.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2025Die Unterkunft liegt auf einer kleinen Insel nahe bei ålesund in einer wunderschönen, ruhigen Lage mit heide, Wald und Meeresufer, zu dem man in wenigen Schritten kommt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, ausreichend groß und haben saubere und komplett ausgestattete baeder. Ein schönes Wohnzimmer und Terrasse mit Polstermöbeln sowie eine komplett ausgestattete Küche machen die Unterkunft zu einem Platz, an dem man auch mehrere Tage entspannen kann. Ideal für Reisende, die schon eine anstrengende Reise hinter sich haben. Für sie ist es ein Paradies. Ausserdem ist das preis/Leistungsverhältnis das beste das ich in Norwegen erlebt habe.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2025Fijne plek. Mooie, rustige locatie op rijafstand van vliegveld & Ålesund op een eigen terrein met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. De gezamenlijke huiskamer/keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Aansluitend aan de huiskamer ligt een fijne veranda met zitjes van waaraf je af en toe een gans of poes over het terrein kan zien scharrelen. De kamer zijn straightforward met een eigen ensuite douche en wc. Bijzonder late check-in was mogelijk. Ideaal voor de reiziger op doorreis.
Eigenlijk niets. Kamers zijn wat basic en bedden(goed) is wat gedateerd, maar dat is muggenziften.

una tv nelle camere per qualcuno potrebbe essere utile, a me non interessava quindi non ne ho sentito la mancanza, visto lo spazio si potrebbe pensare a qualche gioco per eventuali bambini.

No transport options for the airport. No food or bar, no options at all. Just rooms and an empty kitchen. The owner had a dog she couldn't control, and left us to our own devices very quickly, even though she could tell we expecting something different.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2024Nice and big cottage (50m2). It has a washing machine (it helped a lot after several days without laundry). White sand beach nearby. Access to the island through 2 tunnels (it was a novelty for us, after many ferries and bridges in Norway). In our case, linens and towels were included in the cottage price, so great value for money.
The bed was soft for our comfort standard. Maybe an option to choose harder pillows would help to get the perfect score for other travellers

Reviewed Aug 25, 2024Everything! I felt very comfortable. Iris (the hostess) is a very nice and thoughtful lady and always made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable 😊. Also the area is really beautiful and peaceful, a bit isolated but there's a supermarket and a beautiful beach nearby and the airport is 6 min away by car. Just keep in mind that public transportation is not as frequent on weekends as on other days. I totally recommend this property for a long or short peaceful getaway 🦋
