Bentley on the Beach

Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The location of the hotel is wonderful, especially as we were given sea view rooms. We also found the staff delightfully pleasant and helpful! It's certainly a beautiful place to overnight in! The fact that the parking is within an enclosed, secure area off of the road made it especially comfortable for us to be able to get our two rental vans tidied up and ready for returning to the rental company the next day. The proximity of this facility to the international airport is also a plus.

There is nothing about this facility that we didn't like.

Beautiful accomodation right at the beach. Cosy rooms, personal is very friendly, very good breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer. Great for kids.

Location right in the beach. Big room that I had. Comfortable bed. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and attentive. Remember it’s not a hotel so they won’t be around the facility all hours. Good breakfasts. Comrades runners were given a nice fruit and snack gift bowl night before so we had something for breakfast when we left very early next morning. Just ask and they will try to help.

Not a complaint but something to keep in mind: Make sure to shower in the morning or at night as there is power saving on the geyser system to manage excess electricity use.

The bedding was clean and it had a good view.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Thick mildew in the shower and a very awkward toilet seat that you can't sit comfortably on due to a wall next to the toilet. The building itself is lacking a lot of maintenance and when I arrived I was hoping I was at the wrong address. I will not be staying there again.

The ladies were friendly and helpful. The room, pool area, breakfast and the views were super stunning. The comfortable beds and cozy feelnof our room was to die for. Spacious bathroom offering both the bath and shower facilities. We felt safe and at home. Love every bit of the accommodation. NB. We got a warm embrace from the owner just before breakfast as were about to checkout on Mother's Day. Everyone at the place is just sweet and warm.

Nothing, I even enjoyed the barefooted walk to the beach....

Location and the room we lately transferred to

The reception, the room we were given at 1st which had a leak. I was made to pay extra R300 to the booking, which is something that I wasn't aware of.

I was chased out before checking, my family was going to meet there they chased by the security they were told they are not needed and I'm still waiting for my refund

Seaview

Lacks a lot of maintenance. Tiles in bathroom cracked and lifting. Tripping hazard. Toilet makes a noise when flushed. The wooden deck not maintained and loose some places. Swimming pool not very clean. Parking is under trees and mess the car a lot. Breakfast times are only from 7 to 9 and staff dish for you. Pics and reality and 2 different things. Not value for money

Yas, the reception manager was amazing! Helped me with everything I needed. The place was charming and felt safe!

The Location of the guest house is incredible. Right on the beach. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are excellently appointed. The breakfast was brilliant (if anything too much!:D). Highly recommended!

The venue needs a spring cleaning from the outside, Cut out old plants,Wash the curtains and windows down stairs(Where the cleaners or caretaker lives). Inverst in paint through out the property and also make use off new or thoroughly cleaned crockery & cutlery . The kitchen and bathrooms in the rooms needs ventilation. The place has high potential just needs love and attention Also the breakfast was the same and the fries were burned. Either than the above the ladies were absolutely great, filled with Humity and helpful.

On first impressions from the outside it looked alittle run down compared to the website. On entering it was clean and fine

Good breakfast, not punctual at 7:00 but good quality products, abundant and ready made.

There were no functioning safes in the room, so plan accordingly.

Loved every bit. Absolutely amazing. A white lady from Mpumalanga would check on us and make sure we are ok,cant remember her name. My partner and I had an amazing stay Definitely staying there again in the near future.

Uhhh aircon. Quite humid days and the aircon wasn't up to speed.

The mirror is as very very dirty. I dnt even want to mention breakfast. It was disappointing to say least. The fries and dry muffins they served was a NO NO. The portion are extremely small like a teaspoon kind of serving

The local people went crazy on the beach approx. 30m from our room almost every night. They were shouting and screaming, playing car radios at max volume till 2am, we could not sleep. We went down to the coast for some peace and quiet, and then we got this. It was a great letdown. Tried to call the police, but their number does not work.

Very disappointed felt like a scam bedding were not washed my child was bit by bed bugs and got an infection rooms are pathetic and needs maintenance the breakfast is horrible i only had it the firsy day not what I expected at all and definitely not worth the price what's shown online and when u actually there it's terrible no proper security to ensure safety in rooms I will surely not be going back there it was my worst stay I ever had was miserable whole stay

Piscine trouble jamais nettoyée pendant 5 jours malgré les demandes. Logement vétuste, matériaux de petite qualité (porte, huisseries…), très sonore. En particulier, les vendredi et samedi soir, les animations musicales fort sonores du restaurant-bar qui jouxte l’hôtel empêchent de dormir avant 11h-minuit. Manque d’entretien: serviettes de toilettes usagées, râpées voire déchirées. Balustrade du balcon, à l’étage, rafistolé avec du fil de fer. Bricolage électrique de l’éclairage DANS la douche…..

It is a bit of an older facility, so it's a bit " aged " but very clean and the position more than makes up for it - rooms are airy & bright, the staff is friendly, breakfast was good so the overall experience was very nice

Our tour group spent one night at Bentley after flying from Cape Town earlier in the day. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The location close to the airport was a bonus.

Spacious comfortable rooms. Spotlessly clean. Right on the beach....you could hear the waves! ❤️ Amazing staff. Cooked breakfast supplied every morning was seriously a big plus. Only minutes drive to anywhere! Quiet location. We will definitely be back!!

The breakfasts were mediocre. Çleanliness not 100% as one would expect from a hospitality establishment. Around the bottom of shower door, along the rail of the outside sliding door were grubby. The kitchen cupboard doors and handles were noted when looking for a plate for the room, greasy and dirty.. The freezer box in the room fridge had not been defrosted for a long time. There was barely room for the small ice tray provided. Ice is a necessity in the heat of the coast of KZN. The door latch of the sliding door was patched and the lock wasn't conducive to confidence of safe locking. A strong recommendation is that the owners put in sructured carports. Parking under the trees ensure that the car was covered in bird mess. No help was offered to clean this off. It is a shame that the palm trees in all the photos on Booking.com of the front have been removed. Not one remained. The pool was murky and that's a pity. Supervision and care to detail is not present.

Breakfast was perfect. Staff was able to accomodate me with an Early breakfast for my check out day as well.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Bilder im Netz sind um Längen schöner als die Wirklichkeit. Ok, der Preis ist angemessen. Wer Ruhe sucht, wird diese hier nicht finden. Die Jugend feiert am Strand, direkt 10 Meter gegenüber, bis in die Nacht mit lauter Musik. Ein kleiner Flughafen 1000 Meter weiter, wird tagsüber frequentiert von Hubschraubern und Kleinflugzeugen. Da kann zwar die Unterkunft nichts dafür, sollte aber Erwähnung finden.
