Reviewed Jul 20, 2026The suite was very well kitted out in all respects; modern and functional. Good shower. The area was without water during the weekend but the property has storage tanks so this was an absolute bonus!
Signage for parking bay missing. Signage for suite missing. Neither was a problem as staff was present in our case.

Please check the plug behind the fridge, one side is not working, and the fridge was off. A mirror in the bedroom for blow drying hair or do makeup will be a perfect addition.

Be mindful that the third bedroom is open plan above the lounge, but it’s very spacious so really is perfect for even a big family. Plenty of space to park securely and walking distance from the Linden shops.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2025We stayed as a family of 4 and booked the three bedroom cottage. We were met and greeted by our friendly host Thapelo who was very welcoming and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised that the cottage was much larger than expected, and the facilities were all good. There is a very well equipped large modern kitchen, big lounge and dining room, and a second lounge at the entrance. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and are very spacious and fitted with heaters and have electric blankets on the beds which was a real bonus in the middle of winter. There are two well fitted bathrooms, both a bath and hot showers. There is also a verandah with BBQ facilities which we didn't get to use as our stay was only two nights. Lots of good restaurants nearby within walking distance. Highly recommend, and will definitely book again!

We booked 4 nights & paid a daily rate but room was not cleaned for the entire booking. Towels were replaced after 2 days. Room was extremely small. Bed had a heated blanket which was left on. I traveled for 650kms. Was so tired & awoke sweating. Access was not paved & had to walk on wet grass. The establishment took our money long before we arrived. They are a mean, greedy bunch of people. And will not refund. I have travelled many place in many countries over the years. This is the worst review I have given. Mostly if the experience was not good I will refrain from giving a review but I cannot let this experience slide.

Reviewed Sep 27, 2024I liked the cosiness and the comfort. I also liked the location on the property and the coffee and tea that was available.
The timer on the light was a bit short so I didn't have the time to deal with getting the keys into the lock before it was off again and not being from SA they took a bit of getting used to. Also I found the microwave was a little bit difficult to access because of the way the door works and the hight I needed to be a couple inches taller to make it easy.

The fact that for 3 of our 7 nights there we had to put up with hours of partying and screaming teenage girls of the “Dokkies” hockey team from some Afrikaans school in Meyersdal. Their couches and their wives were at times even more raucous than the girls. The property policy clearly stated no events or parties. Only when we couldn’t bear it anymore and complained to the manager who lives on the property did she speak to them but clearly they ignored her request as well and continued their partying until they either fell down or were exhausted very late on those evenings.

Reviewed May 9, 2024Lovely little self-catering cottage. It was clean, comfortable, secure and quiet. The bedrooms were small but the beds were comfortable and there was lots of cupboard space. With a lovely little lounge with a couch and two chairs, a dining room table with four chairs, and an outside enclosed area with table and chairs there was plenty of space. Basic kitchen equipment and a generous supply of tea and coffee. There was even an outside shared garden and area with chairs and games and puzzles. Check in and out were simple and staff were friendly and on hand if needed. We had a lovely stay there.

Reviewed Feb 16, 2024The reception by Thapelo got us off to a great start. We really liked how the rooms were centred around a lavender garden. The interior itself was clean, light and well maintained with a very comfortable bed. Although we didn’t need it, the rooms had ample load shedding preparations which is not always a given. Would gladly be back!

We needed a break away after a busy year .We wanted to relax, watch TV , etc but the TV did not work . The bedding was for cold weather .The room temperatures were high . A flat sheet would would have been the ideal cover at night. We only obtained that for the last night of the stay when we requested one. The staff member incorrectly informed the owner that we would be leaving on the day prior to our actual date of check out . This was very embarrassing and uncomfortable when we had to tell the owner that she is actually wrong .The staff onsite did not answer the phone calls and did not know how to resolve our request for fixing the TV problem .
