Linden Guest House

You send a request via booking.com they're staff dont reply and when you get to the place you are asked to pay extra amounts for a request they did not reply too apparently the staff was in hurry to go home but we still had to pay for 2 single beds

The location and rooms were clean.

Parking and fellow tenants were noisy

Please be aware of the beds, if you going to a meeting the following day haaa you wont wake up .. I slept so good the place is tranquil and peacefull by 3 o clock you start hearing nature and birds..I woke up feeling relaxed and quite happy made myself coffee and sat it the garden i felt happy and at peace The staff upgraded my room for 50 rand extra Wala wala .

please note no little condiments like soap or shampoo is provided so remember your own..oky byeee

It was close to Linden High School

Not enough parking. Our bedroom was right next to the communal braai/entertainment area.

The staff was very friendly. They could accommodate my early check-in as requested. They "upgraded" my room to accommodate me.

The pictures on the website and the actual rooms did not match. The quality of the room was far below what the pictures showed.

I’m writing this on behalf of my mother, she was having about everything from the property to the staff, even the manager she said the manger was good too.

Nothing, everything was fine.

The lady at the front was very kind and she even offered to move me to a better room because she saw that I had booked for a special occasion and also the guy at the front was also a good guy he was very understanding. Linden guesthouse was an absolutely amazing place 10/10

We booked a superior room. We waited for hours until we were directed to a room which wasn’t what we booked and it was sold as an “upgrade”, yet it was a room where the staff quarters are. Curtains were stained. Floors were sticky. No balcony or patio as our original booking. No bathtub as per our original booking. The receptionist fed us lie after lie about why we can’t be accommodated properly, but the grandest lie of all was him making a downgrade appear to be an “upgrade”. The other staff told us the place was fully booked, which means the room we booked was sold to other people. Anyway, stay here at your own risk. The energy is really dingy and dark too. We ended up just packing up and leaving early evening to find another place.

Is that the room was clean and neat,staff members were friendly. In the morning I asked to warm my food the lady was friendly.

What I didn’t like is that water was cold we didn’t bath that was horrible, at night they was a group of girls and boys drinking the whole night, coming to our room banging our glass door making noise. About the bed it’s wasn’t that comfortable, they took two single bed and make a double

I stayed at Linden Guesthouse in Randburg and was very disappointed. The room looked nothing like the photos online. There were cockroaches in the room, the bed sheets were uncomfortable and didn’t feel clean.The iron was not working, the ironing board was very old and worn.Overall, the quality and cleanliness were poor and it was not worth the price I paid. I would not stay here again or recommend it until these issues are fixed.

I loved the Linden Guesthouse it's got a peaceful and tranquil feeling which is great. I was impressed by the room and set up cosy and comfortable so I definitely would use this guesthouse again. Room was neat and tidy

The communal kitchen is big and have most basic appliances, cutlery and crockery

Too many steps (not user friendly for people with limited mobility) There was an irritating sound from our room (not sure what it was, could be from an air-conditioning unit of one apartment ) The checking in. We had to wait for a long time. The manager had left and the staff did not have our reservation. They had to call several times and the phone went unanswered. There is no warm blanket or heater in the room. No plugs near the bed or bedside lamps. You have to plug your phone near the fridge or next to a randomly placed couch that needs serious cleaning. No toilet paper holder. No hand soap There were cockroaches in the kitchen

1. No bedlamps as per their website 2. Plug in the basin in bathroom leaks severely and you have keep the water running 3. No shelf in the shower where you can put your soap etc 4. TV channels very restricted, no MNET, sport channels.

I had a terrible experience at this guest house and would not recommend it to anyone. From the moment I arrived, it was clear the property was not being maintained. Hygiene & Pests: The first room had a horrible smell, and I found stains on the white sheets. To make matters worse, as I was getting into bed, I saw a cockroach. Second Room Issues: After I complained, they moved me to a second room, but it wasn't any better. It also had a foul odor, and I discovered bed bugs on the bed. Amenities: The couch was dirty and extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the Wi-Fi did not work at all throughout my stay, which was very inconvenient. I couldn’t sleep at all and found the entire environment to be unsanitary. I definitely will not be coming back.

The place is full of cockroaches ,even inside the fridge,worst i've ever seen in my life . Installation of aircon could help ,the fan didn't make much of a difference . Provided one towel. Toilet paper quality was cheapest single ply see through. Toilet did not flush well ,had to open the top to flush Wardrobe looks like it's going to fall apart . The place needs to be thoroughly fumigated

Pics misleading. No privacy, rooms are like cells; stuffy and bare. The sliding doors and heavy curtains have to open for air which means everyone looks into your room. Fans are pathetic. Communal kitchen/ TV room constantly in use by staff. Feels like a brothel or a workers hostel. People shouting across spaces and peering into your room. Car parking is jammed, cars in front/behind/next-to. Battled to get luggage in/out. Guests have no remotes etc so are dependent on a 'guy' that you have to find which added to the sense of imprisonment. We booked as a family 2 adults 2 young teens but rooms were separated by a dirty public courtyard and felt unsafe so we had to split so each child had an adult. If the price was halved it would still have been bad but I wouldn't have complained. I was expecting decent. We got scary, uncomfortable, no rest.

Its very noisy, people were smoking funny thing right infront of my door, the garage we parked in had litter, the guys at the gate you cant really tell if they work there or are guest, I think the place has a lot of potential the staff just need to upgrade their profesionalism.

Swimming pool green. Bathroom light not working. Very uncomfortable lounge settee. Couldn't get out of the property in the morning, no one was around to open the gate.

The photos used here are misleading. The rooms and walls in the rooms are dirty. The entire property is in a bad condition overall. The communal cooking section was very filthy.
