Arniston Seaside Cottages

Location

Ok

Location very good. Very friendly staff. The property was great and clean. Comfortable furniture.

Nothing much. Perhaps more channels to watch on the TV at night.

Location was great - close to the beach and the nature reserve. A very interesting town to visit - full of history. The people were very friendly and helpful - we had a wonderful breakfast in a local cafe, run from the owners' home in the historic part of town. The layout of the cottages was perfect for our large group of adults and teens.

It was quite cold, and heating the unit was not easy although the fireplace did help. It would also have been helpful to mention during the booking process that there are 2 separate locations available. But overall there was really nothing significant that we didn't like.

Excellent location

The oven didn’t work properly - burnt all the food!

Arniston is lovely. Comfortable cottage; Nice shower; Grateful for the electric blanket.

It was freezing cold inside the cottage when it wasn't as cold outside (we were grateful for the electric blanket & that we brought a little heater.) A few leaking taps which we reported. Steep outside staircase (not easy for senior citizens to lug suitcases up & down). We could hear the youngsters talking in the room next door (through the thatch in the bathroom).

Accommdation is situated very well

Guests on top of us - very loud

Location amazing

Apartments are old and very used, need a remake for sure.

The closeness to the beach.

The stairs to the upstairs bedroom did not feel safe, uneven and rickety.

The unit was roomy and perfect. Situated near everything but on the quiet part of the Village which was nice. You can hear the waves break. Peaceful bliss. We will be back. Staff were helpful but unobtrusive. Everything was easy and good

Some maintenance is required

Wonderful accommodation for sharing .

Mattress could be more comfortable

Cleanliness. Closeness to beach

The builders. The very noisy buggies zooming around.

Breakfast was not included in the booking and the location was lovely right across from the ocean.

Although we had a slight view of the ocean and a small balcony, we were given an upstairs unit although we booked a ground floor one. We are fairly fit for our age, but did not enjoy going up and down +- 12 stairs every time we had a braai. We recommend that the host consider a small gas braai or weber on the balcony.

Very well positioned close to the beaches and the cave

Houses are a little dated and rustic but comfortable

I really enjoyed my stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also ideal, it’s within walking distance to the Arniston Hotel and beach, making it very convenient to go for meals or drinks. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for a peaceful seaside getaway.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike. My stay at Arniston Seaside Cottages was very enjoyable overall.

We were upgraded to a more private cottage There was daily housekeeping On our last day the power was out and we were treated to a complimentary breakfast at the hotel!

The staff come into the courtyard to the glass doors to do housekeeping and can see straight into our cottage, we were both naked at the time😁 Not sure you got the bigger surprise!!

We were self catering

Flickering light in our bedroom No.2 and 2 dead bulbs in sitting room

Very comfy stay!!

Advert was misleading. No Seaview at all as promised on advert. Cottage was at the backyard of someone facing to the frontdoor of neighbours. Fortunately the fantastic host gave us another chalet with Seaview. Very disappointed with Booking.com.

Arniston is such a magical place. We love the people in this town. They always go out of their way to make the stay unforgettable. This time was no different. Mary was super helpful and friendly. We already look forward to our next visit!

None.

Awesome location.

Although it was clean, we did not like the fact that the kitchenette was carpeted.

Lovely traditional cottage, ample parking and next door to the lovely restaurants of the Arniston hotel. Enjoyed our stay

Walks and general feel excellent , very friendly and helpful staff. The visit to De Mond Nature Reserve a high light - the birds were amazing

very little , if anything

we were concerned about the height of the railing of the staircase into the flat 2D, it is too low and someone can fall over if you loose your balance, furthermore the railing on the balcony has two or more of the screws loose and the wood pieces will fall out please repair

The cottage was well equipped clean and very comfortable. Very obliging and friendly staff.

It was nice and spacious and there were braai facilities

The couches looked very worn out and dusty so you need to consider if you want to sit or stand. Other than that everything else was fine

Slightly more comfortable beds, and bigger beds for main room eg queen size

There is no beach to mention and the property although in a charming setting is not what is on the pictures.

No air-conditioning, no fan, scorching hot. Staff not very helpful in this regard. Unit is super tiny. No wood for a braai, just a sign saying use the stump to chop wood. No axe even. Ridiculous.

breakfast not included - self catering

all good

Place needs paint. Appliances were full of finger marks.

Wifi Password was incorrect in the information file - had to call on the maintenance manager (the receptionist did not know the password. There are no instructions to 'work' the television in the unit - maintenance manager had to be sent to correct the settings,

Mary was amazing and responsive. Location was great. Cottage was spacious and had the necessary amenities. In winter the bed would be great with the electric blanket. Great value for money.

Cottage is slightly dated. Stove's plates were rusty, cobwebs and dust above the fridge area. The draining rack in kitchen needs to be replaced or bleached

It was very comfortable

All was perfect !! Wonderful house, great location, helpful staff. Heated beds!!!! It is a pity we cannot stay longer. I definitely recommend!.

All was perfect!

The house was bigger than we expected. It was a beautiful home with a large patio with a braai. Perfect for our active dog. It was close to the beach.

I liked the cottage as it was central. Cosy and clean. The cottage was fully equipped.

Overall cleanliness and great location

Smelled slightly of cigarette smoke and the stove top did not heat properly

Very comfortable

The one shower we battled to get to right. Hot water tap in shower is faulty and hand shower head is clogged. We managed a shower in the en suite bathroom

Excellent location.

There was nothing to complain about.

We loved the location, the size of the property was nice and big

We didn't have any internet connection the 1st night. The 2nd day, Saturday, we weren't able to watch the rugby.

Great place well laid out, clean, comfortable and has everything one needs. Perhaps an air fryer could be added to the kitchen appliances 😊 But overall loved it.

The View

Unmaintained

Lovely fireplace and very spacious.

Bed was comfortable

The whole united smelled of smoke. Sigarette smoke as well as fire place. This just put a damper en the whole experience.

Good location Loved the fireplace and electric blankets.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Clean and neat - will definitely visit again.

Prima appartementen met een mooi gemeenschappelijk terras, heel basic ingericht met gedateerd meubilair, goede open haard. Zicht op de zee is beperkt en zowiezo bederft het hek rond de haven het zicht op de golven in het centrum.

Attention to detail. we got a diffent cottage than on the booking photos but no lack in luxury

The electric blanket. Heated towel rail, large fridge, hospitality of host, View from the apartment. Within walking distance of Kassiesbaai, the dune and the Cave🕺🏼🕺🏼

Leaking toilet needs urgent maintenance due to reek of urine that it left in bathroom. Old technology for TV, no HDMI cables, still analogue cables. Safety at the back perimeters of the property is definitely a concern. Cameras not sufficient. How about enclosing and allow access through a gatefor patrons to be able to walk the trail.

The low water pressure was uncomfortable because the showers had no water pressure

Water pressure in shower

Spacious, comfortably furnished, had everything we needed. Very friendly and exceptionally helpful staff. Pet-friendly

Better description of the exact location of the unit allocated, or better still, the option to select a unit; as Arniston cottages consist of multiple units - very close to the hotel or closer to Roman beach.

Cottages provide basic accommodation. Location is outstanding , service was friendly and prompt . I was able to bring my pet , which was appreciated. Thank you , I had a wonderful stay

Can't think of a single thing that I didn't like .

Arrived with a huge welcoming smile from the manager explaining everything too us She was pretty awesome and that was more than enough we'll done 🤗🤗😉😉

When we're arrived from a outing there was staff smoking in the laundry was not cool at all That was the only disappointment 😞 😮‍💨

Everything was good

Decor was outdated

A delightful way to spend a few days exploring Arniston and surrounding countryside . The cottages are comfortable , well equipped and charming. And the staff are really kind and helpful . A great place to be .

Nothing: place was perfect

Quarto gostoso com ótima vista
