This was our fourth stay at the Arniston Hotel and we love the close proximity to the beach. Arniston is such a quaint little town. The hotel is always so clean and the staff are very friendly. We had a great room with two balconies and a sea view.

We were disappointed in the menu which was somewhat strange and not very appealing, which is a problem since there are no other restaurants in town. For example: there were no 'normal' pizza flavours - the Mortadella Pistachio Pizza - who eats pistachio nuts on pizza?

Excellent hotel nestled in the beautiful village of Arniston. Beautiful views of the ocean right in front of us. Our suite was warm, inviting and beautifully decorated with a modern bathroom. Spa facility and treatment was excellent.

Our suite had a fully functional bar, which was unexpected, we thought the space could have been better served with a kitchenette, fridge, washer, dryer, utensils, cutlery and the like to make the space more functional. The sliding door at the bar was not able to lock, though we reported it reception, no one attended to it.

We had a room with a sea view. It was amazing. Very spacious. There was sherry for us when we arrived and this was replenished everyday. Beds were turned down in the evening and a chocolate left on our pillows. Breakfast was a buffet with so much to choose from. Fruit, cereal, cheeses, cold meats, salmon as well as cooked breakfasts. Could not fault it.

Very much enjoyed our stay and found the information on the shipwrecks as displayed in the hotel very good.

Lovely room (Zoetendal) with fireplace and the sherry was a nice touch. Bed very comfortable,bathroom had plenty of nice supplies (foam bath,dresssing gowns,vanity packs etc).Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. Plenty of choices for dinner.Friendly locals in Kassiesbaai (especially Wanda at Wanda's resturant!)

A nice cosy pub would be lovely (the bar area is too big and open)

L'emplacement et la vue au petit déjeuner. Petit déjeuner superbe et varié. Calme dans l'ensemble même si on entend beaucoup d'une chambre a l'autre. Grande chambre.

Nous étions au rez-de-chaussée côté piscine et la chambre sentait vraiment une forte odeur d'humidité. C'était vraiment désagréable. Jai demande à changer car ca me donnait des maux de tête mais on m'a dit faut payer un extra pour changer de chambre. Pas trop d'arrangement possible et cetait notre second sejour pourtant. Accueil plutôt désagréable. 1ere fois on etait a l'étage. Cetait mieux. De plus on entendait les voisins du dessus sauter ou marcher fortement.

Le confort de la chambre. Grande et avec plein de rangement et petites attentions. En hiver la chambre est bien chauffée grâce à un chauffage au sol. Tres grand lit hyper confortable. Petit déjeuner buffet incroyable. Belle vue. Restauration diner de bonne qualité. Nous avons apprécié notre court sejour ici. Je recommande. Arniston et son petit village vaut le détour.

Le prêt des vélos est sympa mais les vélos ne sont pas entretenus, pas de frein, pas de passage de vitesse. Dommage. C'est dangereux du coup. Les couloirs aussi sont bruyants, on entend beaucoup les gens qui circulent y compris les employés le matin.

From the location, to the seaview bedroom balcony, turndown, breakfast and mimosas to the friendly staff...what a lovely destination.

We had two rooms on the first floor with ocean views, absolutely amazing to wake up to that magnificent view first thing. Our room was so spacious and comfortable, heated floors and great beds. The breakfasts were a real highlight too with everything you could think of, what a great mini break!

The scenery was magnificent.

Location was the breathtaking. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, had an extra blanket for cold nights and the view was spectacular from the sea facing balcony room.

The hotel is well run and staff very friendly and helpfull. The food is excellent and the sea view rooms fantastic. Fish of the day is caught by +- 4 to 5 boats daily and you can see the boats come in with your fish. Cant get fresher . Visit Kassiesbaai an old fishing village and have seafood at Willeen's .Really peacefull place

This was so special for my husband and I as we watched the sunrise each morning and enjoyed the special extra touches that the hotel offers - chocs on pillows etc.

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, they are definitely the friendliest staff we ever encountered, all of them, not one single staff member was unwilling or unfriendly, they all make you feel welcome and the stay super nice. The buffet breakfast is also amazing, from fresh fruit to delicious pastries, the hotel does not skimp on food or drinks, not on breakfast, neither on the portion served for lunch and dinner. The food is well prepared and very good. Breakfast was included in our room fee and simply a must. The rooms are neat, clean, spacious and nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable, also have couches in the rooms, we also had a coffee machine in our room, Nespresso machine including a kettle. Every evening they would also top up the cherry decanter when they prepared the room for night time. Some of the rooms has a fireplace, they also supply the wood. Room service is also being offered, that came at no extra charge. If you want to relax and do nothing, this is the place to go.

Can't really think of anything, this is an old hotel, but still tastefully decorated, the passages might need new flooring or carpets soon as they are on the old side.

The bed is way to Hard not can't comfortable at all!!!

Perfect location and the best trained staff

Beautifull hotel with very friendly and helpfull staff. Spa is also a 10 out of 10. Rooms are beautifull with great sea view. I just would have prefered a king size pillow on the king size bed

We always love Arniston. What a beautiful serene atmosphere and the breakfast is lovely. The Bed was not comfortable though so sleep was a challenge. Even though reception said they would change the matress it was not done, otherwise we had a wonderful time

Friendly staff, beautiful view from our room, felt safe, delicious breakfast, great dinners. Loved the soft, warm gowns and chocolates on the pillows on the evenings.

The prices at the Spa. Would love to have had some treatments but those prices are almost double what I pay in Cape Town. Rather don’t go with the franchise so that Arniston Hotel can offer more reasonable prices.

Everything was good. Only two things. Room was a bit cold as some of the carpet heating was not working and the bed was hard and so sleeping was uncomfortable

The bed was uncomfottable. We did ask that the matress be changed but was not. We were only there 2 nights so we did not bother to remind them. We usually try to stay 3 nights but the beds was a challenge for sure

Everything was just superb! From the spectacular view to the comfortable, warm room, warm floor, warm towel rails- perfect for a cosy winter getaway. Just love all the special touches, like the carafe of sherry each day, bed time choccie, etc. Definitely our fave getaway winter spot!!!

Our whole stay was delightful. Staff are very pleasant, helpful and all appear to be happy. Very Comfortable room, Very quiet and very clean.

The sofa in our room is a bit low, so difficult to stand up.

The variety available is outstanding. I think that is the main drawcard towards guests staying at the hotel. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly whilst working hard in cleaning away dishes and replenishing food in the buffet.

I personally can't think of anything that would need changing.

We returned to celebrate my husband’s 70th Birthday after many previous visits. The staff went out of their way with all the room reservations (Thank you especially Heinrich) - The Restaurant Manager Elzette and all the other Professional staff. The table was beautifully set up for our dinner and they made it a very Special celebration. The babysitter was arranged and the Seafood was superb.

A short 2-day stay at the Arniston Hotel was much enjoyed by our two-couple party. Our sea facing rooms were comfortable and met our requirements. The restaurant meals were sumptuous, and we appreciated their relaxed BYO attitude.
