Situé en plein centre de montagu Au calme, petite maison proche de celle des propriétaires

Nous avions réservé pour 4 mais impossible de séjourner à 4 : un grand lit, un petit lit, et un minuscule canapé Dommage car l’annonce propose un hébergement pour 4… par ailleurs en hiver il fait très froid dans la maison, et la petite terrasse est inutilisable dans ces conditions… il n’y a donc aucun endroit pour dîner à 4… nous sommes restés une nuit au lieu des deux prévu car c’était assez inconfortable

- La dame a fait un effort pour nous parler français, vraiment très sympa de sa part - L'emplacement pour la voiture est secure - Le logement est grand - Le nbre de place pour dormir est top - Proche du centre et des commodités - Des produits d'accueil laissés avec une attention particulière gentille (pain // produits locaux // lait// eau // beurre// fromage) - la possibilité d'acheter du vin et des bières dans le logement est top

- le très très très gros ventilateur dans la chambre n'est juste pas possible : nuisance sonore - le plafonnier dans le salon n'est pas très utile car il ne brasse pas assez de vent - les ouvertes (fenêtres) sont trop nombreuses surtout qu'il n'y a pas de rideaux epais donc aucunes intimités : surtout dans les toilettes - très grosses traces d'humidité dans la salle de bain qui laisse une odeur desagreables

Excellent self-catering property with plenty of space for the two of us and we found everything we needed. Close to the town centre for shopping and supplies. Welcome pack and initial supplies (milk, bread etc provided. Attractive garden and birds, even two friendly tortoises

Lovely and generous added touches in terms of treats, condiments, charcoal etc. Most appreciated. Fireplace. Good wifi for working. Everything one needs for self-catering.

To make it really exceptional: better quality linen. Bathroom small and rather cramped compared to rest of facilities - although not much can be done in this regard. Padlock for gate very cumbersome to lock and unlock every time one left the property.

the place was very quiet with a lovely view close to everything. There was food and drink available and everything worked except we could not get the TV to work. It was lovely, Justin

Beautiful cottage. Well appointed and our host's attention to detail was amazing! Our every possible need was anticipated. We can highly recommend spending time here. Although situated in a quiet street, it is walking distance to a number of places to eat.

We received a lovely welcome basket with all kinds of goodies, even though we only stayed for one night. Lovely place, great value for money.

Great location in walking distance to restaurants in Montagu. Beautiful garden with cute turtles 🐢. Spacious, clean cottage. Very lovely owners, very caring and great to talk to! We even had some nice fresh products in the fridge. Would have loved to stay longer!

The second (smaller) bed is very uncomfortable.

It was beautiful and very comfortable. Worth every penny. Definitely will stay there again.

Shower was a bit of a problem hard to control the temperature, but for the price we cannot complain.

Friendly hosts, beautiful location and the stay was lovely.

Spacious, walking distance to the town centre, and lovely snacks were provided.

The bathroom is a bit small and the shower can do with a bit of an upgrade to fit in with the rest of the cottage.

that the tv was in the living room , would prefer it it the bedroom as we chilled more in the room with the fire fired up . that would be great for winter time

Tastefully decorated cottage with everything you would require for a comfortable stay. Wonderful home made and locally sourced goodies was a very welcome surprise. A beautiful place to stay while in Montagu - we highly recommend it.

What i liked the most was the pre-arrival note i received from Mary detailing all the information i would need on arrival as well as the Loadshedding schedule - very well received

Lovely cottage, very clean and lovely decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Has everything you would need and the hosts left us ciabatta bread, cheese, olives and a welcome bowl with rusks and cookies. Great stay!

Shower gel would be good.

Very spacious and well-appointed apartment in a beautiful garden. The attention to detail is amazing, with so many delicious, local eats provided!

Only thing that one could possibly want for is an air-conditioner... We had a very hot day in Montagu, although we do realize it was the hottest time of year.

It is a cosy space, with lots of thoughtful details: fresh local produce, electric blankets, coffee bean blender, fresh filtered water. The hosts were very helpful.

Abigail's Garden Cottage was an absolute SUPERB stay in a great location. The cottage was very comfortable and clean with exceptional hosts, Colin & Jen. Special little touches included a freshly baked bread with butter & cheese on arrival and a welcoming carafe of sherry.

There was nothing to 'complain' about!

We really enjoyed our stay. Especially our Toy Poodle and Yorkie. They could roam around freely, because the premises is safe and dog-proof. We enjoyed the goodies supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cottage is nice and big and we especially enjoyed the Netflix. Only negatives, here and there things that were not completely clean, like drawers and over gloves, etc but nothing that a thorough clean can't fix. Overall the place was clean enough. We will definitely go again.
