This little place is exceptional from start to finish. The little pool and hot tub outside are great. Inside has everything you need and bed is very comfortable, brilliant shower and lush little kitchen.

This is an amazing place. Quiet location close to town. The cottages are beautiful, equipped with everything you might need. The plunge pool was amazing!

Heerlijk en origineel verblijf. Wanda is een fantastische gastvrouw. We hebben genoten van het prachtige huis, erg gezellig. We hadden een klein zwembadje en een hot tube. We hebben een heerlijke braai besteld. Ontbijt is met veel zorg bereid. Mooi dorpje met enkele fantastische restaurants. Een echte aanrader.

Er was niets om over te klagen.

Everything. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Stylish, thoughtful, beautiful. And the food packages were extraordinary!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The minute we drove in the gate I started to relax. This place has a great "feel" to it, more like a home than a hotel. The cottages and surrounds are just beautiful. If we are in the Western Cape again, we will make sure to visit again.

The cottage feel was fabulous and we appreciated the attention to detail. Teas, coffees, milk, cotton buds etc. everything you might need was there. Ursula the cat was also a welcomed visitor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing… the place was great!

There is an exquisite attention to detail that is quite unbelievable …. Spacious, quiet and welcoming … you will want for nothing. I don’t believe there is a thing the owners haven’t thought of to make the stay more comfortable. The cottages are beautifully decorated and faultlessly clean …. Fresh eggs, branded products, wine in the fridge …. This is our second stay and I am planning the return.

My stay is too short …

We ordered the Braai Basket which we enjoyed tremendously, all ingredients were local, fresh and of great quality! Also enjoyed the special touches like free fresh farm eggs, great coffee, rusks, lovely bath products etc.

There is absolutely nothing not to like!

We absolutely loved that place. I think that’s the kind of place for which the expression hidden gem was invented for.

Loved the attention to detail, and the beautiful finishes. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and was exactly as you see in the pictures. The hot tub was great, and we loved the pool too. High quality items in the kitchen (JAN cutlery) and bathroom (Country Road towels), etc.

The bed was a bit soft, and sagged a little - it wasn't uncomfortable, just not what I'm used to.

What an amazing stay. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub and plunge pool were awesome, the garden was nice and spacious, the property is closed off and private, and we felt safe throughout. And so quiet and peaceful... The property is also in the centre of the town, and very close to all the restaurants. There is a grocery store nearby, however Wanda is happy to cater for you as well. The attention to detail on the property is incredible. The place had everything you could need, quite literally. The bathroom had robes and plenty of towels, even cotton pads to wipe your face. Irons, insect repellant, shampoo, lotion, you name it. Same story for the kitchen. Coffee, tea, more than enough pots and pans and dishes, etc. You literally just need to come here with clothes and personal items, the rest is covered. Wanda was incredibly friendly and nice, introduced us to the place and left us to enjoy it. Our little chihuahua also loved it. So many things to sniff, and wide area to roam around. We loved it, and will be coming back without a doubt.

We had a wonderful stay. It was short and sweet but we really felt at home and we'll catered for. The cottage was comfortable and luxurious, it had everything we needed and we were able to fully relax and enjoy the setting. The pool and hot tub were awesome and we really enjoyed the tasteful design and decor of the space.

Everything was perfect. Olive Stone Cottages is an absolute gem. Peaceful, tastefully decorated and furnished. Wanda, our host was friendly and attentive. We loved both the interior and exterior of the cottage, and the outdoor hot tub was a delight to use during our Winter stay. We look forward to returning again in Summer.

The overall experience was fantastic. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities plus more. Location was great. The staff went out of the way to ensure a great holiday. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Everything! The extreme attention to detail ... olive oil, butter, eggs, milk, rusks, zip seal bags, foil, plastic wrap, complimentary bottle is wine ... and that's just in the kitchen! Wanda is a lovely welcoming host. The cottage is beautiful, so well equipped. Super comfortable bed, beautiful linen. The outside dining area, the pool, the kol kol and especially the beautiful kitty who visited us every day!

The water fountain was a bit too loud for us, so we switched it off now and then.

We really enjoyed our stay at the stone cottage. The attention to detail is commendable. The cottage has everything you require. We enjoyed the hot tub and just relaxing. Wanda and John were superb hosts and goes out of their way to ensure your comfort.

This farm stay was perfect! It was located within walking distance to most of the main attractions in town but it felt remote and secluded. We loved the outdoor area with the pool and the hot tub. Wanda and Johan were excellent hosts and we really appreciated all the welcoming touches - from the recommendations to the farm products in the kitchen.

Well thought out luxury. High quality venue. Great beds and linen! Wanda really makes you feel welcome without intrusion. The cottages are positioned in such a way that you feel secluded and private. Everything you need contained in the boundaries of the cottages.

The most beautiful little farm cottage you can imagine! The interior is truly mesmerising and the cottage is so well equipped. The facilities are awesome! The hostess Wanda is warm and welcoming. We felt at home. The view from all around the cottage is spectacular. This place exceeded all our expectations. What an amazing experience.

All relevant information, was sent ahead of time. Clear navigation with a map of the town, inclock/ outclock time and everything that you need to know about the area. The cabins are very neat with a great sence of personal touch. The linen and towels were great with a lot of special detail to cutlery, glasses, fresh milk, butter and 4 eggs. This is a little gem!!

The attention to detaIl regarding comfort and ease. The tranquillity of the cottage and venue was right up there. Loved the roaming animals. The little touches of hospitality re coffee etc was well received. Our dogs seemed disappointed we were leaving.

That we could not stay longer. However we will be back as it is a wonderful pet friendly place to enjoy some chill time.

A most enjoyable stay! Everything is very well thought through. From the interior decorating to the placing of books in the room and crockery and utensils in the kitchen area! Congratulations on a superb geust house! The hot tub is very nice - looking at sheep grazing while sitting in nice warm water- what a bonus!!

We loved the xl king sized bed and warm fluffy robes. We also had the opportunity to use the fireplace which added extra warmth.

This place was even more than we could have hoped for. The cottages where so cosy and beautifully decorated. Johan and Wanda are lovely hosts and we loved the whole farm life. A place to go back to.

We can't compliment this amazing place and it's hosts enough! What a memorable and amazing overnight stay. We would loved to have stayed a few more days! From the arrival to departure was a wonderful and wow experience. Wanda and Johan are super welcoming and incredibly friendly and joyful. The established boutique olive farm is pristine and beautiful especially with all the white rose bushes. The cute, quaint, yet modern &romantic stone cottage and its relaxing unique pool courtyard is so private and homely. Everything was a wow and of the highest quality. So much special thoughtfulness has gone into this amazing place...from the farm eggs & Lindt choccies, to the quaint radio and 'honesty-bar'. Comfort is of the highest level inside and out. We even got to enjoy the fireplace. Wanda and Johan make and sell high quality homemade Olives, Chimichirri sauce and rusks, which we had to try! Wanda & Johan have thought of everything for a perfect getaway, even a handrawn map of the quaint and pristine town and where to eat and explore. We tried the romantic little Italian restaurant Piccolo Tesorina closeby and it was perfect. Thank you to them for truly memorable stay...we plan to return and stay longer ♡

A real "hidden gem" - what a nice surprise right in the centre of Montagu, yet it feels as if you are on a small farm with great mountain views. Excellent outdoor area with small pool, relaxing area, braai facilities, etc. - and then the special attention to detail i.e. fresh eggs, biscuits, fully equipped kitchenette. Well worth a visit!

The pips/gravel make for unstable road for the Harleys

Rustic, peaceful and very comfortable. You get the benefit of feeling like you are on a farm whilst still only a short walk into town. Farm fresh eggs, milk and rusks provided in the kitchen as well as local wine selection all added a welcome touch. The outdoor shower from which you can see the mountains was also a highlight.

Enjoyed it all. On Sundays things get very quiet locally, but for us it was perfect as we did not leave the farm.

This is one of the most charming places we’ve ever stayed. we enjoyed cooling off in the plunge pool, both an inside shower and an outside shower looking up at the mountains, so many private books and crannies to relax in, EVERYTHING! Superb!!! Lambs and chickens on the farm were fun!

This was the most beautiful gem of a cottage. Best bed linen, amazing outdoor shower with a view of the mountain. Home made rusks and farm eggs an extra special touch. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay and wish we could stay longer. Wanda and Johan were the perfect hosts and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. Very central,we walked to the restaurant for supper and the next morning had a beautiful hike before checking out. We will definitely be back!
