It was close to where we were going each day

Shower was loud opening and closing door. The fridge was on the outside of the room. You could hear everything happening down stairs and was hard to sleep. Host wasn’t very welcoming. Items were Taken from the fridge eg 2L milk we brought for our breakfast. Jacuzzi wasn’t functioning. $240 was way over priced for what we got.

This was an experience, rather than a stay in a motel/hotel. The rambling gardens were a delight and the accommodation and hospitality made us feel we were in a large family home. Breakfast was delicious and made more special by Anne the host joining us each morning. The birdsong at dusk was unforgettable. We have told all our friends about our stay. It is most unusual to find accommodation that becomes a highlight of a visit.

Our only regret is that we were not there during the spring to see the garden at its most spectacular. Maybe next year.

We really loved our stay. Feeding the alpacas were a highlight especially the new baby, such characters! We loved exploring the beautiful grounds with the autumn colours. The hosts were lovely and breakfast was great. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful building and a wonderful garden. Cute alpacas which we feed in the morning after a great breakfast together with other guests in the dinning room. Nice looking pool, I regret not having time to go for a dip. Adorable tea set in the bedroom from wich we could make our own pots of tea. Very friendly owners, felt like a home away from home. Great place to spend the weekend with the girls.

The was a road closure which made it difficult to get to and from the city.

My room was beautifully decorated and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was plentiful and served in the stylish dining room. Location was a good choice for visiting Hamilton Gardens

It felt like an experience not just accommodation. The host was wonderful and accommodating and the alpacas were adorable.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat sich hervorragend gekümmert. Ein Adapter war verfügbar auf Anfrage und einen Abend gab es ein Stück selbstgebackenen Apfelkuchen mit Pudding :) Der Garten ist sehr beeindruckend und die Alpakas sind sehr zutraulich und süß anzuschauen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Start für meinen Aufenthalt in Neuseeland

La situation géographique, le grand parc et les Alpagas accessibles. La chambre était tout à fait convenable.

Uns hat eine sehr freundliche und herzliche Hausbesitzern die mit ihrem Mann auch im Haus wohnt Empfangen. Der Aufenthalt war super, das Grundstück ist sehr beeindruckend und es gibt sogar einen Pool den man mitbenutzen kann. Gefrühstückt haben wir mit der Besitzerin, und anderen Pärchen die in der Unterkunft waren alle zusammen. Es waren sehr interessante Gespräche dabei. Der Aufenthalt war echt super.

Die Gastgeber waren super ..sehr herzlich und sind uns sehr entgegen gekommen da wir uns um einen Tag mit dem Datum vertan haben. Tolles großes Anwesen

Lovely stay in a beautiful, peaceful garden setting. The hosts couldn't have been nicer and sitting at breakfast talking to fellow guests was a delight. I didn't get around to a swim but wish I had and the llamas were cute.

非常好的庄园，花打理得很好。早餐很不错，餐具都是欧式古董，非常精致。羊驼也很可爱，零距离喂羊驼，有机会春天再来住。

Beautiful house and garden, very tranquil and relaxing and the room was so comfortable - I had the best sleep! The host, Anne, is so warm and authentic, a genuine people person that obviously loves hosting and a lovely soul.

Nothing negative about the property but annoyed we missed the Cherry festival it looked beautiful.

Die Unterkunft war unsere erste Unterkunft nach der Landung in Auckland und wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt! Als wir den Weg zu dem schönen viktorianischen Gebäude entlang gefahren sind, haben wir direkt die süßen Alpakas von Anne und Paul gesehen und wurden anschließend auch sehr herzlich von den beiden empfangen. Wir hatten eine sehr ruhige Nacht in unserem sehr schön eingerichteten Zimmer (Anne sammelt Antiquitäten) mitten in der Natur verbracht und haben uns über das Vogelgezwitscher im wunderschönen Garten am nächsten Morgen sehr gefreut. Das Frühstück im Esszimmer von Anne und Paul mit den beiden und weiteren Gästen war sehr gut! Es war als würden man bei Freunden frühstücken! Vielen lieben Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!

It was a hot night. Room was warmer than I would choose. Still slept just fine.

Im a bit larger than average so it was tight squeeze in the bathroom lol.

Annie was delightful. The alpacas were wonderul. We all slept really well. We were very happy with our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

Anne and Paul.were excellent and very gracious hosts. They made us feel at home without being intrusive. The place is simply beautiful and you can see the passion they have put into it. It is a stunning property and a joy to explore. It was so lovely to have a home cooked breakfast and to sit with other guests and the hosts in a relaxed and social atmosphere. The amenities were great, beds super comfortable. We will be back!

Bed was not comfortable, sheets smelt funky, hosts were noisy into the night

Situated in five acres of gardens which are wonderful to walk around. Paul and Anne were great hosts. Breakfast with other guest gave a chance to talk to other guests. Room was clean and tidy.

Room was very hot needed to be opened up to let the heat out.

It had a lovely olde world charm and the gardens were lovely to walk around. Great pool area but it was too cold for us to swim during our stay. The corner double room was really nice.

Our second room had a very small ensuite and the shower difficult to get in and out of. The queen bed mattress was too firm for our liking but the single beds in the room were more comfortable. No guest laundry but Anne allowed us to use her washing machine.

Ann was such a great host! The place was fantastic and the cherry blossoms were magical! We loved feeding the alpacas too!

Établissement magnifique avec un très joli jardin. La famille était très accueillante et la chambre très agréable.

We had such a lovely stay at English Cherry Tree Manor! What a gorgeous property and house. Both Anne and Paul were super lovely and happy to help with any questions. We had to leave a little earlier than they usually do breakfast in the morning, but they were very flexible and organised it for us. Room was great and spacious. We had our own bathroom too.

I don't have anything bad to say - However just wanted to mention that to get upstairs you have to use stairs, there is no lift. So thought it might be something that's helpful to know.

We traveled from hawkes bay for our nanas funeral. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel at home. The location was perfect and the property was breathtaking. The garden was the perfect place to unwind and our hosts were beautiful. They really made us feel at home. Easy to access the home and rooms, very clean and tidy and the shower pressure is amazing. Definitely recommend!! We will be staying again sometime soon.

The property was beautiful inside and out. Anne was a fabulous host who made us feel so welcome! She got up early to make us breakfast before our Hobbiton tour! Alpacas were cute and we could feed them!

2 story home surrounded by a mini forest, full of beautiful trees, plants, flowers, ponds with goldfish, alpacas. The exquisite views are a extra bonus, breakfast with the host is a great learning for both them and us and a great way to meet others whom had came from the UK and Germany. Bedroom is filled with antique tea set, bed is sturdy and comfortable as we were a bit skeptical being larger women. The highlight is the super powerful shower that feels like a massage whilst showering, temperature is very hot but all can be adjusted by the adjuster, pull out fully for a super powerful massage shower or push in to soften the pressure of the shower. Has a pool but was too cold to try. Everyone needs to visit this place to enjoy nature at its best and appreciate the hard work that this family has put in to create a space to relax and enjoy. Can be in hamilton in 5 mins, so extra bonus being so close. Search for the street instead of the address otherwise you'll waste time going on a merry go round and get frustrated.

Location was great. Easy to get to places especially the supermarkets.

Everything was fine for me.

The long driveway to the house give you the impression of a stately manor. It looks very much like an english house in the countryside. The beds were very comfortable and the space heaters worked well once the timer has been programmed. My brother managed to finagle use of the dryer as only the washer was listed. He and the proprietor must have talked for hours about who knows what and he also joined us for breakfast. We only got to see and pet the alpacas on our departure, but my niece thought they were cute. There was plenty of hot water from the shower and the heat lamp and warm towel bar were appreciated too. The reason I chose this location was that it was within easy driving distance of Rotorua, Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm caves. Taupo wasn’t that far away either.

Not a good location of those with limited mobility as all the rooms are up 25 stair steps. The boiler was down for maintenance and thus the common spaces were not well heated.

Beautiful grounds and lovely old house with character - Anne is a lovely host, really enjoyed meeting her over home-cooked breakfast. Got to meet and feed the alpacas on my way out, which was super fun too! Would love to visit the property again when it's warmer and the trees are in bloom :)
