Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The accommodation was beautifully presented, clean, quiet, and had little extras (like chocolates) that we weren't expecting. It would have been lovely to enjoy the gorgeous pool area if it hadn't been mid winter.
Everything was lovely. We arrived on a very dark and wet night and did get drenched getting into the lockbox. Perhaps some more cover or better lighting might have helped. Not a major though.

Reviewed Oct 27, 2025The location of this was perfect for us as we were competing in Nationals at Mystery creek, so just a 10 minute drive. Also had great proximity to supermarkets gas stations etc in Cambridge. Barry and Adrienne were very friendly and welcoming, and were willing to go the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The pool was great and even better that pool towels were provided. The bathroom and rooms were all very clean and modern, and we loved the provision of tea, coffee and other items. The kitchen and bbq were perfect for what we needed for our stay

Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen, bedrooms were spacious and apart from each other giving privacy. Extremely large bathroom with bath and double vanities. Loved all the little extras in the kitchen.

We loved all the thoughtful touches and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Would love to stay again next time we are passing through.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2024Nice modern and clean home with everything provided that you would want. Attention to detail here more so than anywhere else.
Because it’s a private home I would suggest a privacy screen between owners house and swimming pool. Entrance signage virtually unrecognisable! To get to the road you pass through twin roundabouts with multiple roads leading off them so it’s difficult to find their road then driving past it just looks like any other private residence, took us 3 drive by’s to locate it and we had 4 people in the car looking out for it and it was daylight! Cannot imagine trying to find this place from the roundabouts and then their road during hours of darkness.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2024The accomodation itself is lovely and the bath is great also. We woke to a beautiful day with the sun beaming.
The Cleanliness from 1 being filthy to 10 being Spotless the accomodation was a 1-2. The hygiene of the accomodafion was very poor. I have photos of objects and areas of the house that hadn't even been wiped down or cleaned. There were dead insects in a few places. Old coffee and sugar not washed out of coffee mugs. Very disgusting actually. I was worried about sleeping in the bed which made me not go to bed until after 2am .

Reviewed May 4, 2024It's a beautiful guest house, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathroom is really nice. It's reasonably close to the city. Great for a nice night's sleep, which is what we did.
The property accommodates up to 5 guests, but there is only a small table with two stools. There is no table where to have breakfast or dinner and the kitchen facilities are very limited.

Minor thing - no dining table near the bbq which meant we had to go to the other side of the pool - bit of a faff carrying everything over.

Reviewed Jan 14, 2024Palms on Bruntwood is conveniently located just outside Hamilton but near the expressway so access to town is simple. The facilities seem quite new and everything (including soaps and tissues, etc) is provided and of very good quality. This property has a fabulous pool and outdoor area and there is a BBQ on the veranda. Barry and Adrienne are friendly and welcoming but unobtrusive. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to others.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2023Location was good for us, extra bed was bought in as we needed the third bed, facilities were good and even tough the house is connected to the cottage we felt we had our own privacy, Great to have the Weber to cook up our breakfast and relax with a BBQ at the end of a long day exploring. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.
Nothing expect a suggestion if possible to include a table near the Weber so everyone could eat together.
