WiFi was er niet al te best

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit extrem freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Wir wurden mit dem Tuk Tuk zur Schildkröten Tour gebracht, da wir erst zu spät im Hotel ankamen. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Sehr schöner Pool, den wir leider nicht mehr nutzen konnten. Gere wären wir länger geblieben.

Non molto pulito il bagno, si può fare di più. Forse perché in bassa stagione è stato lasciato tutto un pò alla sbaraglio. Mancanza di asciugamani in camera, in una stanza non c’era shampoo, mancava un tappetino in bagno per uscire dalla doccia. Si può migliorare.

Heel aangename, propere en ruime kamer met prachtig terras met uitzicht op de tuin en het meer. Zeer mooie en nette badkamer. Leuk zwembad. Ontbijt werd aangepast aan onze wensen. Rustige omgeving op een paar minuten wandelen van Rekawa turtle beach waar we 's avonds een schildpad eieren zagen leggen.

Ideaal gelegen als je schildpadden aan het strand wil spotten. Grote kamer, fijn zwembad voor verfrissing met uitzicht op een meer.

Ik kreeg een beetje het vergane glorie gevoel, airco had mankementen, wifi niet top, badkamer zat op een gegeven moment vol met insecten - maar de eigenaar heeft dit wel meteen opgelost.

The property was in the perfect location to attend the Turtle Watch at the beach, with walking distance of 5 min to the beach itself. The area is quiet and I had the top room with stunning and peaceful view of the Rekawa lagoon. The hotel offers both western or Sri Lankan breakfast, and has dinner menus too. The area itself have some restaurants, so no need to travel into Tangalle for meals. Many of the hotels/restaurants are family owned by Sri Lankans from that specific area. Many of neighbouring hotels/restaurants are relatives with each other too. The area is so safe and welcoming for tourists as families and solo travellers. I stayed there two nights, where I attended the Turtle Watch one day, and did biking and kayaking the other day. The hotel staff was also helpful with organising a guide for the kayaking, and helped me for my further travels with bus.

Ощущение как у бабушки в деревне, только по двору ходят павлины. Другая живность тоже присутствует: белочки, мангусты и ящерки, обезьянки скачут по деревьям. Номера в традиционном ланкийском стиле. Площадь номеров огромная. Вкусные и объемные местные завтраки (блинчики, тосты, фрукты, омлет и яичница, фрукты). Большие порции в ресторане. Сотрудники порекомендуют, что можно выбрать на ужин, а также можно сказать, чего хотелось бы, и это привезут. Сотрудники могут помочь с организацией досуга, но делают это ненавязчиво. Обязательно стоит посмотреть, как морские черепахи откладывают яйца (до пляжа на берегу океана идти 5-6 минут). Можно взять на прокат каяк и велосипеды.

Amazing find! The place has amazing rooms which are huge, have a massive balcony and are spotlessly clean. The pool, shaded by palm trees and overlooking the lagoon is beautiful! Beach is only a few minutes walk and is very quiet where you can see giant turtles. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing and so helpful! initially booked for 4 nights, stayed for 9!

We stayed at the accommodation for 11 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very spacious, and the host is extremely dedicated, friendly, and helpful. Even though the location looks a bit remote on the map, it’s easy to get to the town or various beaches quickly. The dogs at the property are very cute. We used the pool very often. The coconuts come straight from the garden. The host arranged two scooters for us. There is a good laundry service. I would definitely book this accommodation again 👍🏽

Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen mit wunderschönem Blick auf die Lagune. Im Garten tummeln sich Pfauen und Affen und der Hotel Manager Lakshitha pflückt auch gerne mal eine Kokosnuss um sie frisch zum Pool zu bringen. Das normale Frühstück ist Kontinental mit Früchten, Eiern, Toast und Marmelade. Da uns das zu langweilig war haben wir statt Toastbrot nach senegalesischem Frühstück gefragt und es auch bekommen. Hat viel besser geschmeckt und zur Stimmung auf der Terrasse gepasst. Auch hier hat Lakshitha alles getan um unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Er ist einfach die gute Seele des Resorts und steht immer für alle Belange zur Verfügung. 2 Tage vor dem Check Out ist leider ein Badeunfall passiert und meine Frau kam mit gebrochenem Oberarm ins Krankenhaus in Matara. Einen Tag nach der OP kam Lakshitha ins Krankenhaus um zu schauen wie es uns geht. So eine nette Geste ist überwältigend und hat uns noch mal sein fürsorgliches Wesen bestätigt. Wir haben uns rundum hervorragend aufgehoben gefühlt.

Le personnel était au petit soin, très gentil et à l’ecoute pour le petit déjeuner ou le repas du soir si nous voulions manger sur place. L’établissement était très calme avec la lagune à côté et l’océan de l’autre , un véritable havre de paix !

Nous ne pensions pas que le lieu était aussi loin de Tangalle, mais la gentillesse du personnel et le calme de l’endroit a largement compensé !

Superbe! Endroit magnifique au bord de la lagune, kayak disponible. Très grandes chambres en parfait état, grande salle de bain. Plage sauvage à 5mn. Personnel toujours disponible et au petits soins. Belle grande piscine. Petit déjeuner excellent. Nous étions en demi-pension ; le premier repas du soir étant un peu décevant, nous avons par la suite apporté fruits de mer et poissons depuis la ville et il nous ont été parfaitement et gentiment cuisinés à l'hôtel. Zacznijmy od okolicy, resort jest położony z dala od miasta, ale to jeden z jego plusów (w samym Tangalle jest i tak mało co robić), natomiast jest bardzo blisko plaży (3min pieszo) Rekawa, która jest genialna i przebija każdą inną, którą widzieliśmy na Sri Lance (szeroka, piaszczysta, praktycznie bezludna), na niej też jest prowadzony projekt ochrony żółwi morskich, które nocą składają na niej jaja (jest to jedna z atrakcji turystycznych). Do tego wokół bardzo dobre restauracje (1-2min pieszo). Co do samego resortu, to jest on położony nad laguną, więc widoki z tarasów i basenu są świetne, teren obiektu jest całkiem spory (palmy, pawie, ptaszki itp.), są dostępne rowery i kajak. Co do śniadań, to są pyszne i starczają na pół dnia (hoopersy, tosty, owoce, sok, kawa, słodkie przekąski). Pokoje są czyste i bardzo przestrzenne, to samo toalety, klima i wiatrak chodzą bez zarzutu, a łóżka są wygodne, do tego wygodne fotele na tarasie. Obsługa też jest świetna, Lakshitha opiekował się nami cały czas i załatwiał wszelkie dojazdy z dworca, tuktuki, samochody itp., wystarczyło poprosić i w mig załatwiał. Polecił także fajny salon masażu w okolicy - Anathaya, gdzie pracują profesjonaliści. Ogólnie jeśli szukacie miejsca na południu, chcecie piękną plażę i super wypoczynek bez tłumu samochodów i trąbienia, to szczerze polecam. Te wszelkie silent beach, tangalle beach itp. to się chowają do Rekawy.

All very decent, room, swimming pool, restaurant (we had a large breakfast included in the price). From the balcony room we could see the lagoon. 5 min walking from restaurants and Turtle Watch Rekawa

We spent a very pleasant family stay (2+2) at Ashansa. Peace, quiet, and complete relaxation. Excellent contact with the owner, who helped us in every situation (laundry, a spare iPhone cable, etc.). The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfasts were rather standard, as in most hotels in Sri Lanka. The area is very charming, and the beach is beautiful, just a short walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday stay full of rest.

The location is outstanding-we had a balcony room and the view for the lagoon is just amazing. Everyday we were sitting with binoculars watching birds - and you could feel like in the middle of nature park. Additionally one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka is just few minutes by walking. Rather hard to swim though - keep that in mind. The swimming pool is well maintained and the proporty offers a kayak and bicycles too. Breakfast is delicious and there are also plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are big and very comfortable. We plan to come back there for sure!!!

The only thing no we would recommend is to repair or replace the kayak :) as it was catching water during our trip. Very easy to improve and writing this only as a small suggestion.

De kamer kon wat beter gepoetst zijn. Niet overkomelijk maar van een quotatie 9 of hoger, dan moet dit beter kunnen. Geen mogelijkheid om een biertje te bestellen terwijl dit als traktatie werd voorzien als je in het restaurant bleef eten... vreemd dat toch niet snel geregeld kon worden.

Everything was great

We had a great 1 night stay here. Excellent location on the lagoon, near the beach and restaurants/ bars nearby. Small resort which looks lovely on the outside. The rooms and balconies are huge and very quiet. The host was very friendly and helped arrange a transfer to Colombo airport the following day. He was very responsive via text and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was also very nice. Excellent value for money!

Het is een mooie locatie aan het meer, wij waren hier voor 1 nacht en het personeel heeft ons goed geholpen we mochten zelfs later weg als we nog wat langer wouden blijven. Dit was super, de host (iam lakshitha) heeft een taxi voor ons geregeld naar het busstation. Het was een goed verblijf in een gloednieuwe kamer echt helemaal prima!

I loved the quietness of the hotel. It was very very clean and spacious. The AC worked great in the heat. Also the foods Lakshita made us were perfect. Lovely breakfast that was super abundant, and also marvelous dinners with true Sri Lankan flavours. My girlfriend had some requests, like, she wanted pancakes, vegetarian food, No spicy food etc. This was not a problem and he made it all happen with a smile.

From start to finish we loved this place: set in wonderful gardens overlooking the lagoon ,four rooms - huge rooms and great bathrooms with own private terrace. Breakfast was great. Latifa( sorry spelt wrong) was so helpful and all done quietly and with kindness. 5 minutes from the beach . Swimming a bit harder but we walked to the end of the beach and found perfect rock pools. We tended to walk early at 7 am.. and had the whole beach to ourselves. The hotel has free canoe as well.. otherwise we spent time just sitting in the hotel garden watching the wildlife!! We ate in the hotel too very good quality. There are a few other places to eat too. We stayed 4 days and this was one the best places we have stayed . Both the hotel, service and location Highly recommend.

Huge rooms in an awesome location. Only the ac was not working perfectly. Other than that, perfect place to relax. Also the canoe and bikes were fun!

The facilities and location were perfect for our needs. Our top floor room was huge and gave us a great view of the Lagoon and the treetops so we could see all the fantastic birds. Lakshitha was a great host and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. We even got to watch some cricket on the tv while eating our dinner. We would highly recommend Ashansa Logon Resort for the area, beach and turtle watching.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay, resort is very nice place with beautiful garden and houses. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It is close to the turtles visitors center and beach. They helped us arrange a scooter rental.

We had a little problem with cockroaches, it would be convenient to offer a room cleaning for longer stay to avoid that. The breakfast could include something salty like omelette, curry,.. But the sweet breakfast with fruit plate was very tasty.

Everything was super, location is quiet, not to much tourist or overcrowd. The reception guy who meet us was super helpfull. Arenge as a lot off things like scooter and breakfast sandwich early in the morning before we leave to safari.

This was one of our favorite homestays in Sri Lanka. We booked last minute after a different local hotel cancelled the night before and we're so glad we ended up staying here. There seemed to be 4 rooms, each with a gorgeous view of the lake with large private balconies that had comfy chairs for relaxing in. The rooms were absolutely huge and pristine and had massive comfy beds and plenty of space for hanging clothes. We really appreciated having the fridge, and though there are only small local shops near by the manager sold us bottles of beer from the restaurant that we stored in the fridge and had on the balcony in the evening. Bliss! We also liked the spacious bathroom. The buildings are located in the most lush gardens which are very well maintained by a very smiley, friendly man. The Gardens are also hosts to a beautiful family of grey faced langurs (the nice kind of monkey), chipmunks and so many species of bird it was hard to keep count. A favorite activity was bird watching from the balcony in the early morning. Breakfast was in a raised platform that overlooked the lake and gardens and was so tranquil. We really enjoyed the fresh juice and fruit platters. The location of the accommodation is just a 5 minute walk from the beaches and the manager shared his whatsapp details and was helpful with booking tuktuks and turtle tours. There were peddle bikes available free to use and also kayaks for the lake. We had hired a tuktuk and this area was perfect for learning how to drive it, with long very quiet roads. On the odd occasion we couldn't start the tuktuk the manager was very helpful and supportive and got it started for us without us really having to ask. We didn't catch his name, but the manager was a gem and so very helpful. We only wish we could have stayed here longer! The local village is very quiet and peaceful, so this is the perfect location to really chill and enjoy nature and the slow pace of local life.

It's not necessarily a dislike, but the Sri Lankan breakfast here was just hoppers and rotis with chilli sauce. Some Dahl or eggs or butter and jam to go them would have just made the breakfast little less dry. The juice, fruit and tea were fantastic however and we liked the English breakfast a lot!

We had a great time at Ashansa. The room is very spacious and the bed comfortable. The views are amazing, and the surrounding is very peacefull. The breakfast was incredible. What made our stay even more perfect is the service from Lakshitha. He really understands the concept of hospitality.

No drinking and/or filtered water on premise. You need to get your drinking water elsewhere, which felt a bit weird for a basic necessity.

Very quiet place compared to other parts of the island. Large room, great terrace, friendly staff, good breakfast! The hotel has a large green area, 5 minutes walk to the beach. We were very tired and did not go to see the turtles, but next to the hotel there is a center where organized tours start every day at 20:30.

The host was extremly friendly and helpful. Apartment was amazingly clean and cozy, also the room is huge. The garden was maybe the best part, very nicely groomed and full of birds and peacooks whose singing is the best alarm clock ever. Breakfast and dinner were yummy and the host also makes great cocktails. By far the best place we have stayed in in sri lanka. Highly recommed! :)

The setting was excellent, very peaceful. And only a tuktuk ride to a busy town and beach. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

A very well-kept facility, located in a quiet location, with access to the lagoon. We swam in a kayak belonging to the facility and had the opportunity to observe many species of birds, including eagles. Moreover, while sitting for breakfast, you can admire several species of colorful birds flying between the trees. Fantastic! Extremely spacious and clean room. Food also very good. Extremely nice and helpful gentleman. He arranged for us to pick up a tuk tuk at the hotel. We recommend this place!

Great place to chill for a couple of days.

Amazing place with amazing lagoon View. The rooms are very large/big and comfortable. Lakshitha is trustful, helpful and very respectful, always on side when you need. Breakfast was served very tasty and varied every day. Vitamin + , he made sure of that. We where there in low season and loved the tranquility and lack of people.

In room of our friends was weird smell and AC didn’t work properly. We gave feedback to host and he promised to work on it immediately. We would recommend also some mosquito nests in the windows.

There is nothing chaotic and fast about this place, is as serene as possible, spacious, beautiful and comfortable with the attentive staff communicating via WhatsApp giving you the privacy you need. Surroundings are lush green and quiet, view over lagoon perfect. Breakfast plentiful with fruit platter. The best stay we have in Sri Lanka.

The warm weather, hiking!

The room is big, new and modern and I really liked it. You have a stunning view on the lake. In the bed you sleep well like a baby:) The service is great, we rented a scooter and there are bicycles and canoes for free. The turtle beach is a 5 min walk and there a good restaurants pretty close. Breakfast is nice with a lot of fruits and toast and egg.

Arrived in the night but confirmed booking was not honoured. Single staffer with bad attitude aggressively told us that mistakes happen and told us to go find another place, which was very hard to do at that time of the night. Our driver told him this is not the way to treat visitors who are now returning to the country bringing badly needed foreign exchange to support its ruined economy.

This was one of our favorite places during our trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are huge, very clean and everything seems really new. The owner is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is great with a great view of the lagoon. If you like birds we saw both eagles and peacocks during our stay here. You are around a 5 min walk from the beach and besides the restaurant on the property there are some good restaurants around.

The location is remote and a 5 minute walk to the best unspoilt long beach in Sri Lanka. The property is clean with good rooms. Peaceful and the guy was so helpful. It’s also near the turtle watch station.

WiFi goes in and out constantly and stops working. Electricity went off in the morning ( this also happened at one other place I stayed at. So power cuts happen. Rooms smell damp but many do in Sri Lanka.

The best hotel I've ever been to. Lakshitha is the sweetest and most accommodating host. He cooked us the fish we caught on the lagoon. He told us when to go to the nearby beach to see turtles. Huge and very clean room, bathroom and terrace. Delicious food. A beautiful garden. I strongly recommend.

It was an absolutely amazaing accommodation. Great and cozy place with a nice view. The room was large and clean. The staff was kind and the owner made us a delicious breakfast (papaya smoothie was fantastic). If we come to Sri Lanka again, we would definitely come and stay here more than one night :-)

The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, located on the second floor overlooking the beautiful lagoon. The wifi was strong and had a wonderful speed. Lakshitha was ready to assist us in every request we had. Dinner at the property's restaurant was very tasty, we tried prawn and fish curries, as well as dhal and beans curries. The turtle beach is a 5 minutes stroll away. We warmly recommend this guesthouse.
