Comfortable resort with lots of amenities and activities. Beautiful, clean property with large, well-equipped rooms including a lovely balcony looking out to the ocean, complimentary coffee/tea, fridge, bathroom amenities and comfortable beds. Housekeeping was excellent and left extra water and coffee. Amazing outdoor pool that was huge (accommodated kids and adults) and the perfect temperature and had comfortable loungers. No pool service-had to go ask for a drink and have it delivered-which was a bummer. Beach is super tiny (doesn't go with the photos and for many months of the year the water is dangerous) and has many vendors who will attempt to sell you things like cheap massages. Appreciated the free fitness classes-yoga and water aerobics were fun and a good workout. Many dining facilities on-site. I had an excellent jackfruit burger at the pool restaurant and the breakfast buffet was the most extensive I have ever encountered! Service slow at the pool restaurant. Excellent spa where staff were attentive, gave a fantastic polish, massage and pedicure. Would stay again.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful environment where the beautiful beach is few meters away. They welcome every guest warmly. Ms. Nimesha who greeted us at the reception and took us to our room was a nice and talented girl who showed us the high quality of Srilankan hospitality. Room was spacious with a balcony where you can see the pool and sea. Room had all the amnities and a spacious washroom. Buffets had a massive spread with indian, chinese,western, srilankan varieties. The boy named Anju who served us was very attentive and gave us customized care. Staff was very friendly, concerned about guests needs. I recommend this hotel to anybody who needs to relax in a beach hotel in this beautiful country Sri Lanka. There are turtle hatcheries close by.

The property itself is amazing - great pool, excellent service and good amenities.

The beach is dirty and filled with tour guide operators who continuously pester you. The food is subpar to say the least. Nothing tastes like it’s supposed to, and the prices are high. No value for money.

Sheraron, Kosgoda , Sri Lanka is one of kind. On arrival, we were welcomed with warmth and straight away felt at home away from home. The front desk stuff exceptional. We were five an assistant - a young lady, Nimesha who was an angel. Yasasi the Marriott Bonvoy representarive was super too. We enjoyed first class treatment from all stuff. We were surprising my husband and I with a birthday party was melted our hearts. Just when we thought we had had it all, they topped it with a live cooking demostrsroom with chef Chathushka. Thanks to all staff at Sheraton Kosgoda. You made our first Sri lanka visit while.

My friend had a small medical emergency and the staff did their best to make us feel supported and taken care off. Yasasi and her team including Sathya and Sandun were super amazing. We received a traditional welcome and the check in was done whilst we enjoyed welcome drinks. But the best was the view and the access to the private beach with the resort. 10/10 for the facility, the staff and the food & service.

Staff behavior was excellent. Food was good (would love to see more options), Beautifully placed property, Mr.Erenga (hopefully I spelled it right) was very very kind and nice to us and took proper care for us from Olive Restaurant Huge and well maintained swimming pool. Beach was so close and accessible Room was very spacious and nice and clean. Room service was also very good.

Little language issue was there, as what we were trying to say at times was not correctly read or understood with some staff members. They should have a proper smoking zone as while our stay many tourists were smoking all over the place in common areas Property people should take care of that. The bathroom shower area they need to check properly before handing over the room to the guests as even after closing the glass door, water used to flow out from below and make the rest of the bathroom wet. Engineer needs to check that.

Great location, nice pool/ocean view from the room, spread out buffet with host of options for Indians (including Gol Gappe) - The best food that I had had in Sri Lanka in my 10 days tour. Smiling staff at the reception, restaurant, housekeeping and everywhere. Proper 5 star and yet the cost of the beer was quite reasonable (about INR 500). Huge swimming pool and a quiet scenic beach. Very close to the Turtle sanctuaries.

It was a wonderful trip, amazing country, amazing hotel. Very calm, very client oriented. Thank you very much for tasty breakfasts and dinners. As for the excursions, near the beach a great guy And will always help you, we visited Ella and safari trip with him, he really work good, knows all the spots.

My wife and I spent 7 fantastic days at the Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort, and it was all about the people there. I had an accident the day before arriving to the hotel and was forced to be off my feet for the entire stay. The employees seemed to have a competition to see which one would take care of me more. Starting with Nimesha who greeted me upon check in and constantly followed up with us to make sure we were OK and if we needed anything. She was just amazing. Every day at the restaurant Dewminiand and Kaveesha would take care of whatever I wished. The buffet selection is absolutely fantastic and they'd procure everything so I wouldn't need to leave my table. Over by the pool side Dinuka would always run to take over the wheelchair-pushing duties from my wife and help me to find a comfortable lounge for resting. Special mention goes to Suranga from maintenance that saw me struggling and manufactured a walking stick so I could improve my mobility. There were many others that were always there to help so my apologies if I didn't remember their name. The hotel is beautiful and the upgraded room with ocean view was spectacular. We were able to watch the sunset each evening from our balcony for a very relaxing ending of the day.

We have had the most amazing time at the Sheraton. We have had a 4 day stay and we have been treated like royalty. Every member of staff from the pool attendants, pool bar staff (Kasun) and all the other bar staff( struggling with names but all working at poolside)were very welcoming and spent time talking to us. On our last night in the restaurant we was absolutely delighted to find our table had been decorated to thank us. We was also given a handmade card. ❤️The food (excellent) and the restaurant staff were always smiling and kind . Our time here will always be a very good memory and made us feel very special. Big thank you also to Manugie who was very welcoming. Definitely recommend this hotel

We were very impressed by the presence and how well served we were by Kasun , a young man who works at the pool bar. A person with great positive energy. I had a terrible experience at this sheraton hotel and i am severely disappointed. The food served for the lunch and dinner buffets were absolutely terrible. I stayed for two night and noticed that the food was always bland and flavorless with a very limited variety. I did enjoy the food received from the a la carte-though even that had a limited selection of food. To be honest, I didn’t have any problems with the room and it was very comfortable, except for the bath tub that was too narrow for my liking. Pradeep who acted as my room service was an exceptionally kind person and he was very helpful. There were also two employees at the restaurant that I found to be both kind and helpful, their names were Kalindu and Raveen. My guide, Ms. Manugi was also a very nice person and she was very helpful. The staff were very kind and helpful(probably the only reason to visit the hotel). However, i did find the room floor to be dusty and required a bit more maintenance. There was an issue with the shower where water would come out of the bottom shower instead of the ceiling shower. But i do want to emphasize how the staff were very helpful. However, the hotel could do well under better management.

We had a wonderful 3-night family stay at Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort during the April New Year holidays. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and the level of service extended throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled beautifully, with a great welcome and a smooth, efficient check-in process. We stayed in partial sea view rooms, which were spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing and peaceful stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout, ensuring everything remained clean and comfortable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from all staff members—across reservations, guest relations, restaurants, and housekeeping. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. On our first day, we had lunch at Olive Restaurant at Sheraton Kosgoda, located by the pool. The setting was lovely, and the menu offered a great variety of seafood along with Western and Asian dishes. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. For breakfast and dinner, we dined at the hotel’s main restaurant, which serves buffet-style meals. The buffet had a fantastic spread, including a wide selection of meats such as pork, lamb, and beef, as well as fresh seafood, along with Sri Lankan, Indian, and Western cuisine. There was something for everyone, and the quality was consistently high. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing holiday for our family. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the future.

One of the bests stays in 2026 !!! 10 / 10 on everything

We visited this hotel twice in 2025. Had a good experience both times. Only downside is that the buffet restaurant cannot really accommodate the crowd and gets overpacked very fast. Also dinner buffet is not on par with other 5* resorts, variety needs to be improved. Also, special mention to one of the staff, who provided a room when I asked for a space to nurse my 7 month old, even though it was way past checkout time.

It was a calming, beautiful, serene experience. The hotel was a nice getaway place and food was delicious and well presented. The staff was very friendly, specially Manugi, who was so refreshing and helpful with her heartwarming service. The beach was an absolute dream as well. Loved it!!!

Traveling with a one-year-old can be challenging, but Mithuli ensured all our baby’s meal requirements were taken care of with such attention and kindness, which made a huge difference to our comfort. We also had an amazing dining experience at the Olive restaurant—the pizza there was absolutely delicious and definitely something we would recommend to anyone staying at the property. The pool area was fantastic, offering a perfect place to unwind while enjoying the ocean view. Everything about the environment felt relaxing and luxurious. A special thank you as well for the suite upgrade—it made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was absolutely wonderful, and we truly felt welcomed throughout our stay. A special thank to Manugi who was exceptional – always kind, attentive, and ready to help, which made our experience even more special. An added highlight of our holiday were the tours organized by Kumara located on the beach. They were very well organized, reliable, and offered a wide variety of options to suit different interests, allowing us to explore and enjoy so many memorable experiences.

Stayed for 2 weeks early March and found the hotel staff so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. so so helpful and really made our holiday special. We had a small problem with our first room with a ocean view which was changed with minimum fuss by Nimesha Karunathlake who constantly worked to ensure our stay was everything we wanted. Wide choice of food at main restaurant any all staff members were so attentive. Swanning pool area kept very clean, tidy and excellent service from Pool staff at all times The rooftop bar Blue was sometimes quiet but again the service from the staff was very good The Pool area Bar Olive was also outstanding service and a special thank you to Kasun and the other Bar staff who become great friends during our stay Beach area wonderful and fairly quiet. the surf was fairly strong so may not be suitable for swimming by all Would definitely go back for another stay as great location for busy day trips and return to peaceful setting to chill Wonderful staff

We had a very pleasant stay at the Sheraton Kosgoda. The rooms are spacious and the hotel grounds are well maintained. The food is very good with a wide range of dishes to choose from. The hotel staff are exceptional. Special thanks to Nimesha at the front desk who was always helpful and accommodating, to Abdullah in the restaurant who went out of his way everyday to make us feel welcome and well tended to and to Chef Saliya who ensured our dining experience was extra special. The beach is expansive and largely empty. There are very few people trying to sell you trinkets and tours. There are some tour guides and drivers on the beach but they are not aggressive. Special thanks to Kumara and Tharaka who were our guides/ drivers. They were both reliable, trustworthy and professional. They can be reached by Whatsapp +94 775517726. I highly recommend them.

Just returned from a 5 day break at the end of a round the world trip. Absolutely loved our stay at the Sheraton Turtle Beach. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Particular thanks to Methuli on the front desk and the hard work team in the buffet dining room. There was always a good selection to choose from and always served with a friendly smile. The pool area is immaculate and direct access to the beach a huge bonus. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat!

This was our first dining experience at Sheraton, and everything went wonderfully .it was very satisfying and the staff were extremely friendly. I would especially like to thank staff members Sasupun, Sanchala, Amali, and Anuhas for arranging my last minute request for a birthday cake. Our hearts are full.

If you listen and watch closely when on this precious island, you will see the people and there land are beautiful. The hotel and staff here were amazing and looked after my daughter after time surfing down south of the island. The kitchen staff and reception made our stay special.

We stayed 7 wonderful days at Sheraton Kosgoda, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay, and the hospitality made it even more special. A special thank you to Mr. Edrian from the restaurant and Chef Chathushka from the kitchen for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They took such great care of us and were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. One of the highlights of our stay was when they helped us prepare our traditional Uzbek plov. The cooking session was a unique and unforgettable experience, and we truly enjoyed every moment of it. Their willingness to accommodate our requests and share this experience with us meant so much. The entire team at S Kitchen is absolutely incredible—friendly, professional, and always welcoming. Their service and warm smiles made us feel at home. We had a fantastic time and created beautiful memories at Sheraton Kosgoda. We will definitely come back again and will recommend this hotel to our friends without hesitation. We had a very good stay here even though it was for one night during our road trip in Sri Lanka. The resort is very nice with spacious rooms and a really large swimming pool. The service is excellent, and everyone tries to go above and beyond. The beach is right behind the property, although it is rocky in places so swimming is hard. Lot of variety in the Breakfast!!

This was not the experience one would expect from a Sheraton property. We reached the hotel around 3:30 PM, even though the official check-in time is 3:00 PM, but our rooms were allotted only after 4:00 PM. The check-in process was extremely slow and inefficient. I had specifically requested a higher-floor room and was initially happy to be told that rooms had been assigned on the 5th floor. However, after waiting for some time, we were informed that those rooms were not ready, and we were instead moved to the 3rd floor. To make it worse, the room allotted was one of the farthest from the ocean, which felt like a clear downgrade from what was originally communicated. To add to the poor first impression, construction work was going on at the ground floor, which meant there was no peace or sense of arrival that you’d expect from a luxury resort. Our luggage did not reach the room even by 4:30 PM. Despite calling the staff, it took another 20 minutes, and instead of bringing our luggage from the lobby, someone came to pick up luggage from our room, which made no sense at all. I had to explicitly explain that the luggage was still downstairs. The level of confusion and incompetence at this point was quite disappointing. At 5:45 PM, when we went to the pool, we were told that pool towels had run out, something that is unacceptable for a resort of this category. Towels arrived only about 15 minutes later. Day 1 dinner was another miss. Since we weren’t very hungry, we ordered ala carte from SKitchen instead of the buffet. The staff forgot our order entirely, and even after a couple of reminders, the food arrived nearly an hour after placing the order. To their credit, the team acknowledged the issue and ensured that this did not repeat over the next two days. On the positive side, the staff were generally courteous. A special mention to Ifra from Hatchlings (kids’ club) — she was wonderful, and the kids genuinely enjoyed their time there. There were also smaller but telling lapses: 1. One of the room key cards was taken by the housekeeping staff (possibly by mistake). 2. During checkout, they forgot to charge one of the breakfast costs. While I did make the payment online later, it again reflected a casual and careless approach to basic processes. Overall, while the property itself has potential and some staff members do try hard, the operational inefficiencies, inconsistent communication, and lack of attention to detail made this stay fall well below Sheraton standards. I hope the management takes these issues seriously, as this experience was far from what one expects when booking a premium international brand.

Delightful stay. Must convey that they really look after each family personally. Chef Salivia was extremely kind and thoughtful for our family during the stay. Highly recommend that when you tmstay here, let them know your preferences and they’ll make it happen!

A truly amazing and peaceful place where everything is perfect The staff are the best we have ever experienced I could mention them all whose names we forget but Madhawa and Dimithu are the ones that spring to mind The setting perfect too

We ate here 5 straight days even though we were staying in a hotel next door. Chef Chatushka was cooking us Sri Lankan curries each day! Delicious. If you are around these parts do go for a fine culinary experience. Thanks to Chef Chatushka Chef Ramesh Madhav Sanjan Rasika Their warm hospitality made our visits really nice.

Great staff, very polite and accomodating, gave us late checkout. Comfortable beds, good property, breakfast is great.

It says beach property, however its not entirely true. The property has access to and is by the beach, but its not a private beach space, property does not have any lounge chairs by the beach (generally beach properties have this) You can rent it from the shop at the beach for $5-10/day. However since it's not a very popular beach its not crowded. We ended up spending most of our time in the restaurant next to it, right on the beach (Yatra)

I was there for a business conference for a few days and loved the place so much that I extended my stay for one week and worked remotely from there. The hotel is on a quiet beach with beautiful waves and views of the Indian Ocean with a very large and clean swimming pool which is never crowded. A bar and restaurant next to the pool served delicious cocktails, and food The main restaurant has a wide variety of food, which is very tasty and serves dishes for all tastes. I had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily with some new dishes every day. The smiling hostesses seatyou and everybody serves with a smile. Rooms are very comfortable with some having good views of the ocean Wi-Fi is good and easily available in all areas even by the pool side The spa has very modern and comfortable rooms with some skilled therapists like Yamuna The best thing is that the staff is very caring, always smiling and catering to all requirements of guests. Hats off to the General manager, Mr Mano and his team for making the guests feel so special. I will surely be back again.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Sheraton Kosgoda’s S Kitchen restaurant, thanks to the outstanding service from Yadushan. He was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our meal, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His soft-spoken and polite manner made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Yadushan also took the time to explain the dishes in great detail, which we really appreciated — it added a personal touch and helped us make excellent choices. His efficiency and genuine warmth truly elevated our evening. We’d definitely recommend asking for Yadushan if you’re dining at S Kitchen — he made our experience memorable!

The good service and excellent food with extended hours of the buffet allow you plenty of flexibility around meal times. The rooms are comfortable and so is the bed. Very friendly staff. However, better care could be taken around the cleaning of the toilet and balconies where the pigeons poo. We weren’t able to enjoy the balcony and view because of all the wet and dry pigeon poo. The pool was great and the waitering staff were on the ball with service. Especially yashodah in the lunch area who was great.

The property is stunning, featuring a lovely pool area, a nice beach, and spacious rooms. We were delighted to receive a generous upgrade and a thoughtful welcome gift, which made our arrival feel truly special. What made our stay unforgettable, however, was the outstanding service provided by the entire team. From the personal welcome to the warm interactions throughout, we felt genuinely cared for. I would especially like to highlight Sathya, who was always available for any questions or requests and who proactively checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Her support added so much value to our stay. The restaurant staff were also wonderful. In short, Mr. Gunasekera leads an exceptional team that truly goes the extra mile to create memorable experiences for their guests. We were deeply impressed and felt completely welcome throughout our stay.

We have just returned from a ten night stay here and it was exactly as hoped. The staff (from the General Manager, Customer Manager, bar and restaurant staff as well as housekeepers and gardeners) were exceptional. A special shout out to Abdullah, Dimutu and Saliya the Executive Chef (I hope I have spelled his name correctly) made my 60th birthday celebration one to remember. I have never felt so special and valued anywhere else so THANK YOU all for the effort you put in. Your kindness and willingness to give so much is gratefully appreciated.

I’ve had a great Spa experience. Had a back, neck and shoulder massage and a 60min Gentlemen Facial. Iresha was the best! If you book a treatment with her you will be in great hands. Felt completely relaxed and refreshed. Would definitely recommend.

I was highly satisfied with the cleanliness and consistent attentiveness of the housekeeping staff. I must specially appreciate Mr. Chalana, who is an outstanding employee. He was committed and his smile and warmth behavior made a significant impact during our stay. Really love the flowers he brought to our room！
