Best Western Premier Northwood Hotel

The location was great. Even a gas station and convenience store and A&W in the parking lot. The breakfast was good - loved the omelet station. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean, the beds were also comfortable and their was good air conditioning.

The price is high. I also thing their should be pump hand soap in the bathroom, I dislike the bar soap.

The location was perfect for airport travel a 10 minute ride to Airport parking. In fact you could almost call this an Airport Hotel . It is far enough from the commercial blight of Downtown Timmins to provide a serene setting for a good nights sleep,' It is close enough to reach downtown in 10-15 minutes. I only purchased chicken fingers at the in house restaurant but can attest to the fact they are fresh made made from real chicken and breaded and not the frozen chicken product you get at fast food spots. The room was large and the beds were nicely decorated and comfortable. You get the usual Microwave, fridge and coffee. What was unusual was the cooks in the breakfast lounge who make yo made to order hot food. This puts it a step above the popular chain hotels. They had an indoor pool but the water was a little chilly for me, I guess i need to spend more time in Canada. The downside was the high price for a weekend stay which was $599 for 2 nights, I can't imagine what they'll be charging when the place gets more popular. I was particularly annoyed to find both the Restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday despite paying more money to stay on the weekend. A full service hotel's services should be available 7 days a week. We had planned to retire early because of an early flight and weren't expecting to make a trip into town to find a restaurant. I also think more can be done décor wise to make the place more warm and welcoming. It was decorated more like a modern office building than a hotel with large hallways, lobbies, dim lighting and some scarce modern art work.

The location was perfect. It was close to the airport for early flights. It was in a quiet secluded area a good enough distance from the commercial blight yet only a short ride to town. Pool was nice and the hot cooked to order breakfast was a surprise. The room was large and beds were comfy. Very Clean hotel.

The expensive price tag of $599 for just 2 nights. We paid more for a weekend visit yet the restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday. The décor was cold and impersonal like a modern office building instead of a welcoming hotel.

This BestWestern exceeded all my expectations by the new facility and excellent food in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and modern.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent stay at this Best Western and enjoyed everything about it. The highlight was definitely the live breakfast counter—freshly made food and a great breakfast experience that exceeded our expectations. We also really liked the location. It's slightly away from the busy downtown area, making it quieter, more relaxing, and free from the noise and traffic. Having Tim Hortons right across the parking lot was a bonus and made for a nice morning walk and an easy coffee stop. Overall, a clean, comfortable hotel with a great breakfast and a peaceful location. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Timmins.

One area that could be improved is the bathroom ventilation. There was no dedicated exhaust fan, or the centralized ventilation system did not seem to work effectively. Better ventilation in the washroom would have made the stay even more comfortable. I informed the front desk about this, and they were responsive and interested in getting it addressed.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Great selection with breakfast and also had a cook to get what kind of eggs you liked.

We stay at this hotel twice a year when visiting family. It feels like coming home because the staff is so kind and the rooms are always top notch and kept in good repair. I appreciate the smiling faces at the front desk and the breakfast. We have had to try other hotels in Timmins when the Best Western was full and both have seemed tired and over-priced. This is a true gem.

The environment of the location of the hotel is appealing for someone who wants peace and quiet. The hotel offers that mood. If travelling by vehicle it offers ample parking.

There is nothing I can think of not to like or to dislike about the establishment. Probably the best accommodation for people that travel for work, leisure or for family outings. Super place !

I would have rated this hotel a 5 but...we chose this hotel because it had a restaurant. We were not informed that the restaurant is closed temporarily until we arrived. Also the breakfast area was closed and there was no cleaning of the rooms on Jan 1 because it was a statutory holiday. This is supposed to be a hospitality business!

D'une propreté impeccable. J'ai adoré le fait de n'avoir aucun tapis dans notre chambre. Lit très confortable. Très belle piscine et salle de gym. Déjeuner compris avec une panoplie de choix et que dire de leurs excellente omelettes faites devant nous. Lors de mon prochain passage à Timmins, c'est certain que j'y retourne et je vais le recommander ++++

We booked again based on a pleasant previous stay - and it lived up to the memory. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are pristine, the breakfast is delicious, the staff are so friendly, and the location is nice and quiet.

This is the only place i will be staying whenever I go to Timmins. Staff are really nice. Property is so clean, including the pool area. Love it!

We need a room for an important medical appointment./emergency. Booked a regular room with king bed (all was available) small fridge, small desk - the norm. No tub- just a shower. Where charged nearly 3X the amount of a regular room. Was clean, colour scheme was gray and boring. Walls had chips and was only one large towel for shower and a bathmat. where awakened several times by very loud traffic INSANE... for the price. We where shocked at the price. We will never stay there again. Ever!! Price shown on the website and booked through Expedia was not the price charged when I pushed book room button- and then couldn't change it. Hotel shrugged it off and said 3rd party - to bad for you - NEVER AGAIN - we were sure it was a mistake.- nope.

As always, the staff are fantastic. We got to check in early and had a great stay. Like that you can get eggs cooked to order at breakfast and someone was making latte and cappucino for people.

Very clean and comfortable. The only issue was the heavy equipment loader clearing snow at 1:00 am at a nearby building. It disrupted my sleep and couldn’t sleep for a long time. Apparently the city noise bylaw does not apply. First time this has ever happened so I would still stay there in the future.

The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was right by the elevator and we did not hear a thing.

Hotel is very clean, room was well laid out, all furniture and equipment worked as intended an were in excellent condition. Lots of usb points. Couldn’t hear the neighbors or the hallway.

What an awesome hotel. While a little more expensive than the competition the value can’t be beat. Clean rooms, clean and plush linens and towels. Still doing daily housekeeping too! The breakfast options are amazing, fresh and nicely presented. They cook eggs and omelets to your liking in front of you. The gym is clean and well equipped. Never used the pool and didn’t notice a hot tub. You will like this hotel.
