Kaab Coba

Als je een heerlijk groot zwembad wil, ben je hier aan het juiste adres. Vriendelijk personeel en flexibel met in- en uitchecktijden. Volledig stille kamer, ideaal om goed uitgerust je bezoek aan de ruines te starten of te eindigen. We hebben krokodillen kunnen spotten aan het meer.

Beetje vergane glorie. Groot hotel dat vroeger tot de Club Med - Villa Arqueológica vestigingen behoorde. Maar we hebben er genoten van de rust en voor mijn 7-jarig kind was het grote zwembad ideaal. Het zwembad was proper.

El hotel es precioso y muy tranquilo y el personal es muy amable y atento. Nos atendió Raúl. Todo perfecto. Lo recomiendo 100%.

L hôtel est vraiment super. La cour intérieure avec la piscine est très agréable. La vue sur le lac également. Le personnel très gentil et arrangeant.

Le petit déjeuner buffet n'était pas terrible. Mais la vue sur le lac a fait passer le désagrément.

Le calme, la chambre familiale qui comprenait 2 cjambres reliées par une sdb/wc, l'espace piscine avec la végétation et son emplacement vis a vis du site de Cobá !

Rien... Des bouteilles d'eau auraient été bienvenues dans les chambres.

En el momento de nuestra estancia el hotel se encontraba con algunas áreas en remodelación. El personal se esforzó mucho en que, a pesar de esa situación, estuviéramos siempre cómodos y bien atendidos. Valoramos mucho la atención de Jorge y también de Raúl en el restaurante, los desayunos muy bien servidos y el café delicioso. También Raúl nos compartió las historias sobre la zona y cuentos de aluxes que asombraron mucho a nuestros niños :) El hotel está muy bien localizado para conocer lugares alrededor que valen la pena mil por ciento, además de la zona arqueológica de Cobá, hay cerca tres cenotes increíbles (Choo-Ha, Tankach-Ha y Multum-Ha) y la reserva de Punta Laguna que también tiene cenote, balneario, y actividades como kayac y tirolesa. Quiero dejar un agradecimiento especial al personal del hotel pues olvidé una bolsa con objetos de valor en un jardín y tuvieron la gentileza de enviármela intacta por DHL a mi domicilio. Espero que las personas dueñas del hotel sepan que tienen un personal muy valioso y dedicado a su trabajo ¡Gracias por todo!

We love this hotel and try to visit at least once a year. It's just about perfect in every way, to be honest. It's worth it to pay the extra for the breakfast, as the food is good and the service excellent.

Our first night, the air conditioning didn't work due to a low energy issue that the hotel has no control over. I just wish I'd known or had a way to find out that the problem was electrical, since I got up more than once trying to figure out why the a/c wasn't working and I'd just have lived with it if I'd known.

Skvělé jako vždy. Byl jsem zde opakovaně a vždy super. Mohu doporučit jakou skvělou zastávku pro relax během výletu do Valadolidu a Chichen Itza.

The location is lovely and the room was great. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. Good base to see the Coba ruins.

The front of the hotel almost seemed deserted and somewhat empty. It was unclear if they served breakfast. It was hard to find staff if you needed anything.

L'hôtel est très bien situé pour visiter les ruines de Coba à 10 mins à pied. L'hôtel compte peut-être une quarantaine de chambres et nous étions 6 personnes à y séjourner (sentiment un peu étrange mais calme absolu). Un très bon rapport qualité/prix pour les prestations et notamment la piscine.

Heel rustig en heel vriendelijk personeel. Goed, groot en schoon zwembad in de groene binnentuin. Het gebouw heeft iets weg van een kloster met dikke muren. Ochtends rond acht uur naar de ruïnes van Coba gelopen, makkelijk en veilig in zo 10 minuten. Dan was het nog heel rustig bij de ruïnes.

Niet echt iets. Gebouw iets oud. Typische mexicaanse omgeving maar veilig.

Very nice hotel in Coba with a lot of Maia history inside the hotel and walking distance from the ruins. Situated on a lake where they have crocodiles, but which feels very safe. The pool inside was a perfect spot to relax.

They did not clean are room at first, but after we asked they cleaned it without any problem.

El desayuno muy bueno. Los chicos de recepción muy amables y deseando ayudarte con todo. Un sitio relajante al lado del lago y muy cerca del yacimiento de Coba.

La cercanía del lago hace que haya mosquitos en la habitación aunque tenga mosquiteras la ventana. Aconsejable llevar spray antimosquitos. Las habitaciones don rústicas y sencillas pero con todo lo necesario para u a corta estancia.

Mooie en rustige locatie aan het meer. Een fijn complex met veel ruimte. Prima kamers! Heel fijn groot zwembad.

De vlonders bij het zwembad zijn aan vervanging toe! Het ontbijt is prima maar eentonig (vraag om pancakes! Die staan niet op de kaart maar kunnen ze ook maken)

wir hatten ein Deluxe-Zimmer, das in KEINER Weise deluxe war. Klein und dunkel, kein Safe, keine Terrasse, Zimmer aus den 60er Jahren

Wat een prachtige plek! Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van de ruïnes van Coba, heeft een mooi zwembad en heeft een authentieke sfeer. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en het ontbijt prima. De prijs-kwaliteit was goed, zeker als je het afzet tegen de prijzen aan de kust. We waardeerden ook vooral de rust, de mooie vogels en het uitzicht op het meer. Zelfs nog een krokodil gespot.

Het hotel is op sommige plekken wat aan onderhoud toe.

Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement loin du tumulte des grandes zones touristiques. Endroit très calme où une voiture est indispensable pour rayonner dans la région : Tulum et ses plages publiques, Valladolid, cénotes etc... Le magnifique site de Coba est à 1km de l'hôtel et accessible à pieds. Nuits très calmes.

Durant les 6 nuits passées dans cet hôtel qui compte environ 50 chambres, 5 chambres étaient occupées au maximum. L'ensemble est décrépi. Les chambres sont très humides et sentent le renfermé. Les quelques personnes présentes font de leur mieux pour faire fonctionner l'établissement : pas d'eau chaude ni électricité, petit déjeuner sans grand intérêt et minimaliste, un seul ménage dans la chambre en 6 jours....

It's a very beautiful hotel with lush central gardens and a large pool. It was obviously built with conventions or large groups in mind. The lake is lovely, the sunsets spectacular. Although we saw other guests from time to time it felt largely empty. Quiet! On a hot day the pool area felt deliciously cool. The hotel is fairly near the archeological site. Someone who is reasonably fit could walk over there - maybe a half mile?

The reception desk is only staffed from about 3pm to 10pm. Odd. On our first morning there was no hot water. Maintenance got it going but it was only lukewarm at best. When we left there was no one to help with luggage. Since my husband has limited mobility I had to carry it all down steps and across a gravel parking lot. I'm 77. Help would have been nice and well-tipped.

Das Ambiente mit der Lagune war sehr schön, der große Pool im Innenhof ein absoluter Traum!

Das Zimmer war sehr einfach gehalten, etwas in die Jahre gekommen und eher dunkel. Es gab keine Klobrille und das Wlan war leider sehr schwach.

A 5 minutos andando de las ruinas, la piscina y la zona alrededor son espectaculares. Habitación amplia y muy limpia.

Aunque hay algún restaurante cerca, habríamos preferido que estuviera abierto el del hotel. Hay zonas del hotel que parecen sin uso, podrían cerrarlas o equiparlas para no dar sensación de abandono.

La Struttura è bella, mi sembra uno dei migliori della zona, con una zona piscina molto grande e ben attrezzata. Colazione buona, bella camera.. Tutto sommato una buona esperienza, a 5 minuti a piedi da sito archeologico e da alcuni buoni ristoranti.

In linea di Massima non mi ha deluso nulla.

Troubles with water and electricity

Hôtel très bien situé à cinq minutes à pied, de l’entrée du site archéologique et en face du lac. C’est un bel hôtel qui bénéficie d’une belle piscine, grande et propre, dans un patio.

Je ne félicite pas du tout le directeur de l’établissement, il y a incontestablement du laisser-aller !! C’est un hôtel qui a un très beau potentiel, mais qui n’est pas entretenu. Les serviettes de la piscine sont trouées, la terrasse à l’entrée de l’hôtel mériterait d’être refaite, les planches sont cassées, les plantes sont déterrées dans les pots, l’eau dans les fontaines stagne… c’est dommage cela donne une mauvaise impression à l’arrivée alors que c’est un très bel établissement. !

Definitivamente deben de meter mas personal, no me hicieron el cuarto el dia que estuve y esto fue por falta de personal. El hotel y las instalaciones son buenas pero deberian de poner mas ganas en meter mas personas.

Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme et potentiel, avec une belle vue sur la lagune et crocodiles. À 3 min à pied des ruines de Cobá, piscine agréable même si pas assez de transat. Parking sur place, hôtel à proximité de restaurants. Des ruines au sein même de l’hôtel.

L’eau de la douche n’est pas chaude, la salle de bain est assez petite, pas de terrasse, beaucoup de moustiques dans la chambre ainsi que beaucoup de cadavres de moustiques sur les murs. L’hôtel a beaucoup de potentiel et pourrait être mieux exploité.

It was a good location

Felt tired like it was in its heyday a decade ago. Our room smelled so badly of damp we requested a change. The next room smelled better but the sink was blocked.

Die Lage zu Coba, um früh in die Anlage zu starten. Es gab kostenlose Parkplätze.

Wir hatten Junior Suite gebucht, die diese Bezeichnung leider nicht verdient. Bei unserer Ankunft erkundigten wir uns, wie lange das Restaurant geöffnet sei und erhielten als Auskunft 22 Uhr. Als wir um 20:15 zum Essen gehen wollten, hieß es im Restaurant, dass es leider kein Essen mehr gäbe. Für das Bett mussten wir ein Laken nachordern, da es beim Roomservice vergessen wurde. Die Qualität des Wifi ist eine Katastrophe. Das gesamte Hotel wirkt vernachlässigt und das Personal verträumt. Ein lost Place.

Es ist schwer, das Hotel zu bewerten. Das Hotel ist riesig und durchaus nett gestaltet. Schöne Deko, stilvoll, schöner, großer Pool, tolle Plätze zum Sitzen, um den Wein oder ähnliches zu genießen, sauber, nettes Personal, helles Zimmer, großartige Lage am See. Das "Hauskrokodil", welches sich abends und morgens offenbar häufig am uberfluteten Steg zum Pavillon einfindet, hat uns besonders gut gefallen.. Die Maya-Stätte ist nah und mit dem Rad, welches man am Ausgang der Stätte nah der Straße mieten kann, kommt man zu den Cenotes in der Nähe. Super. Also alles okay? Nicht ganz. Dennoch möchten wir das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Die positiven Seiten überwogen für uns eindeutig! Es hat viel Potential.

Leider war das Hotel sehr leer. Definitiv kein Fehler des Hotels! Coba ist eher nicht die erste Wahl bei Touris, was für uns gut, aber eigentlich schade ist. Wir hatten 2 sehr schöne Tage dort. Sehr kleiner mexikanischer Ort mit gewisser Authentizität. Am 2. Tag kam zumindest eine Reisegruppe an. Dann hatten wir auch warmes Wasser:). Am Abend vorher leider nicht. Nun die Fragen aller Fragen; Warum hatten wir keine Klobrille??? Wir sind schon sehr viel gereist, aber das war einmalig! Man gewöhnt sich jedoch an alles :).. Wir gehen optimistisch davon aus, dass andere Zimmer über Klobrillen verfügen :). Ob es Frühstück oder Dinner gab, wissen wir nicht. Wir haben stets im Ort gegessen. Das war kein Problem.

We stayed here for one night. We loved the huge pool, cool and clean room and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They made us an evening fire to enjoy the view of the lagoon after our incredible meal and sunset viewing was done. A special shout-out to Roberto, the GM, and Kristel, who took such great care of us. There is a lovely garden behind the hotel, and there are lots of beautiful plants throughout the pool area.

It would be nice if there were some hand towels and a floor towel available in the room for use after showering.

La localisation a 5 min de l’entrée des ruines La jolie piscine

Cet hôtel semble un peu abandonné. Impossible de boire un cocktail sous prétexte que l’hôtel est en cours de changement de propriétaire et donc sans licence de vente d’alcool. Quasi rien à manger au restaurant (et également très peu de choix pour le petit déjeuner - seulement des œufs). Même en basse saison on attend un minimum de service Le safe ne fonctionnait pas et malgré les promesses rien n’a été fait !
