The room was nice.
It was isolated and loud.
- hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly, most speak English - the ambiance of hotel of gorgeous of you like jungle theme - parking is easy, hotel feels safe, Starbucks on property - Coba town is less than 5 min drive with beautiful Myan pyramids - recommend this hotel if you want some accustom bustling of big towns, though recommend having a rental car so you can access food/attrections when needed
We were attracted to this place to book by the offer of free bicycles which we used to explore Coba township on first morning (don’t take them to the ruins). The place offered so much more with its jungle like setting, pool, EXTREMELY good food in the restaurant and service in general. It had a pool and conference air conditioned space as part of the restaurant also which we did actually use for a late night conference call. Good Attentative staff and a personal introduction to our spacious room which suited our three adults.
The room had very marginal WIFI reception to the point it was unusable and we advised the hotel they really need to address this as for the travelling tourist (well for us anyway in planning activities and next stay is a must in the room). The room is generous but i didn’t like the shower area not having a door (privacy for the potential four adults who may not want to see one another naked) or the large window which exposes the same naked body to someone walking past outside - low probability but I prefer my showers without risk of a maintenance worker or one of my room mates accidentally wondering past. This could be addressed by a fix that effectively closes the supplied curtain
posizione ottima per visitare Coba, peccato che attualmente il sito archeologico sia un vero e proprio cantiere, i lavori, sicuramente necessari, non permettono di godersi la visita, sarebbe più onesta una chiusura di alcuni mesi per terminare i lavori
It was very gorgeous, quiet, and the staff was very nice. However, despite the staff not seeming busy (I was the only visitor there for my whole stay), the pool was always dirty. The hotel was also difficult to access for farther day trips - after one, I ended up having to walk for 10 minutes in the dark on the highway alone (as the staffs advice didn't pan out). When I reached out for help from the concierge, they had already gone home for the day at 8pm ):
The hotel was very nice but it was very difficult to find, even though it is located on the main road. Google Maps took us to a very different destination. Look for a Starbucks sign, because the hotel’s sign is hard to see from the road. Otherwise everything was good. The bonus point is for the bikes they provide. It gave us a unique experience to ride around and all the way to Coba.
Fix the sign so it is easier to find.
This place was great, quiet, clean, spacious. The staff was friendly and professional. The Starbucks was a nice option in a remote area. We would definitely stay again when we come back to Coba.
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms
Price is way to high for what you get. On top of that you need to pay extra for coffee if you want coffee during breakfast while the breakfast is included.
Staying at Aldea Cobá was an absolute dream. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this boutique hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated with local touches, and equipped with all the modern amenities you could need. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and enjoying coffee on the private terrace was pure magic. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and ready with great local recommendations. The on-site restaurant serves delicious, authentic dishes, and the pool area is the perfect spot to unwind after exploring the nearby Cobá ruins. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful getaway that immerses you in nature while offering top-notch service, Aldea Cobá is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back.
The bathrooms are magnificent. The pool and gardens are beautiful. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is exceptional. Best tortillas and food we had in Mexico.
The continental breakfast is very limited and doesn't include coffee due to their partnership with Starbucks. The pillows were uncomfortable. Unfortunately a black mould issue was identified in the room and apparently common due to humidity. Hotel is sort of in the middle of nowhere so a car is must.
Beautiful facilities tucked in the jungle just a 3 minute drive from the Coba ruins. The villas are very nice, with private pools and gorgeous decorations. Nicest bathrooms ever!
Easy to find, healthy breakfast, lush well kept jungle grounds
Bugs at night but it’s to be expected in a jungle
Calm, quiet. Great staff. 5’ drive from Cobá - perfect for an early visit before it gets busy. Loved the jacuzzi and all the trees!
Breakfast was very limited. Toast, cheese, and fruit. Extra charge for coffee. Hot tub wasn’t especially hot.
Well designed and very comfortable villa with its own private plunge pool on the edge of the jungle. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Simple breakfast included. Fantastic!
There was no restaurant so dinner was a drive away. Had to pay extra for coffee at breakfast - it was not included.
Spatious clean room, with good working AC. Beautiful garden and friendly staff. 3 mins from town and the ruins
The pool wasn't super clean. The breakfast was served late (supposedly opened ay 7.30, and the person showed up and started prepping like at 7.35) so if you want to make it to the ruins before 8AM is tight. The breakfast was also pretty lame, just a banana, 2 toasts with butter and not even coffee was included. I was charged like 80 pesos for a mediocre cappuccino that I ordered at breakfast.
Well maintained property. Friendly staff. Extremely convenient fir visiting Coba ruins and nearby cenotes.
The place is really nice and super quiet
So beautiful with amazing view of jungle Really good atmosphere
The place is stunning. I could spend a long time here. The sauna and gym were a great bonus after weeks of tacos and tequila. A salt bath in the room was the last thing I expected on a backpackers budget but was a very welcome surprise. The restaurant next door is fantastic too, amazing value all round.
The walls are quite thin and so you can hear the neighbours.
Everything!! Very clean and relaxing. This place is a paradise ❤️
Comfy bed, modern room, private pool, location in the jungle but right off the road. The bathroom was luxury and huge. Hotel within 5 mins from Coba ruins.
No TV but that’s ok and think the hotel should put a small pool cleaning net to clean out the private pools. The bar was not operating but the hotel is small so could be due to low guest attendance.
What a great experience. We got the room with a private jet tub and it was so awesome to hang out in our private area looking into the jungle. There was also a Starbucks kiosk to our surprise and parking was really easy. Check in was a breeze and everyone was reallly nice.
Staff was were distant, maybe due to their culture. The rooms need a touch up but otherwise very acceptable. Incredible beautiful views into the jungle from our terrace worth every penny… Breakfast was included except the coffee which was around 70 pesos/cup.
Staff was helpful and recommended me a tour guide for the ruins nearby. The hot tub was great with wonderful view of the sky and stars. Loved it.
Lush setting around the pool. It’s the best hotel in / near Coba and a very convenient place to stay on route to Chichen Itza/Tulum. Visit the Punta Laguna Nature Reserve!
It’s right by the road which spoils the ‘jungle feel’. Breakfast is limited, you need to buy your coffee at the Starbucks counter within the hotel
Great location. Good onsite restaurant. Best coffee.
Pool could have been cleaner but v hard in jungle.
The property was very unique. Like being in the jungle! The dining and Starbucks were great! We rode the bikes into town. Everyone was very helpful, kind and accommodating.
Our room was really big. The bed was great. The nature around was beautiful, and the pool was nice. Bathroom was super clean and spacious.
There was water under our bed when we got there, don’t know if there was a leak or something else. They call it continental breakfast but you actually get only two slices of bread, two slices of cheese, a banana, and an orange juice. Coffee was not included, we had to pay for it. The bikes were kind of old (rusted and breaks working badly and btw, the ruins don’t let you use the hotel bike on the inside and no one told us about it).
A really nice, modern hotel in the jungles near Coba. My room was spacious, well appointed and I enjoyed the plunge pool. The food was great and the staff were friendly, professional and always available.
You're a drive away from any other choices for food or drink, but the on site restaurant is great.
Attentive staff. Good restaurant
Bungalow close to the street. Noisy.
It was a beautiful oasis and very quiet. The food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. It was so easy to get around the Coba area for daytrips to various sites to visit.
Restaurant was excellent with lovely staff. Beautiful room.
Would have liked a working safe in the room.
For those wishing to explore Coba before the crowds arrive, this is an ideal place to spend the night. The staff were wonderful, the hotel itself is set in a beautifully landscaped setting and the food was good. They even serve Starbuck's coffee--a nice suprise, especially when you are starting your day off early to see the ruins.
It is a great place to escape from the busy city life. In the resort, everything is better than what you will typically anticipate. The suites are cozy and provide enough outdoor private space. I only tried breakfast in their restaurant and overate. I would especially recommend the traditional dishes with a Starbucks coffee. Their staff are friendly and willing to ensure a better stay.
I regret that I did not decide to stay longer at the resort and the city. Due to my limited time, I did not fully enjoy the benefits of the facilities like the spa or the swimming pool enough. There are so many things to enjoy near the resort and I am pretty confident that the staff will help you plan. So if I need to recommend I would say at least four nights and enjoy their facilities and restaurant.
Nice jungle setting. Well thought out room. Very tasteful.
The bed was very comfy, the private swimming pool was nice. Beautiful well kept garden, nice and kind staff.
Attention to detail was a bit of a let down. It seemed like the property was a little ran down, and needed more maintenance than was given. There was a Nespresso machine in our room but no capsules were given, we had to ask for them each morning. The staff were nice but to my judgement lacked expertise.
We love this place, starbucks coffe inside the hotel, close to Coba's piramides, excelent restaurant as well, beautifull room surrounded by forest. An ancient Mayan road (SAC BE) is in the back yard of this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a good location, within walking distance or a short taxi ride to many things downtown. In particular we loved the terrace which was a great place to relax.
The place is amazing, in the middle of the jungle with high class service. The rooms are very big and clean, the mattress was great, the pool and the restaurant was delicious plus the staff was very friendly
It had everything you would need, and was close to the city center. The pool was amazing. The bar and cafe were perfect. And the rooms were some of the best we have stayed in while visiting Mexico.
Nothing.
Beautiful and clean rooms, amazing food in the restaurant and helpful staff. Is just outside Coba but has everything you need on site.
Lovely, comfortable and clean place. The room was spacious and well designed and the shower was fabulous. After driving around Coba in the early morning we discovered the earliest breakfast spot was at Aldea Coba. It was delicious and the kind chef came out to give his regards. The rest of the staff were also kind and accommodating. The pool is a great treat. Recommended.
It is a great place to enjoy a quiet time. The restaurant even offered vegan options and the staff was very helpful. I was surprised how easy it was to get there without a car. The hotel offers bikes for a visit of the nearby ruins in the wild.
Very nice staff
It was very beautiful to be surrounded by the jungle noises away from the busy cities. The place is spotless, the staff is very helpful even with special requests and the restaurant even has an excellent vegan option. It is possible to borrow a bike to visit the ruins of Cobá and the surrounding area. The place is easy to reach without a car as the local bus stops directly at the hotel if you ask.
Beautiful property and rooms in the jungle. Friendly staff.
Very rewarding to arrive off the bus from Tulum and walk into this place! Amazing room with private pool and shower looking out to the garden through wall window. Helpful and friendly staff, unbelievable communal pool at the front and lovely food! Very, very nice stay. Recommended.
Nil
In the middle of the jungle this wonderful nice, moderm and comfortable, private cabins. I had experience before that places don't look like the pictures and it is kind of disappointed. But this was not the case the place is better than all the pictures I saw. A very peaceful an amazing place everybody was very friendly and accomadate all our needs. We stay at one with our own pool and porch that looks into the jungle, we felt like we were in our own private world, able to hear the beautu of the birds in the area while relaxing watching all the amazing plabts that grow in that area. I didnt like that they had a Starbucks, when I believe the local coffe is better, but I complete understand how that can attract people, the restaurant was all cook for you at the moment and it was worth the wait. CHEF Jose does a great job presenting delicious traditional dishes in a more modern style. We love it so much that we ate there almost our whole stay. Wilfred, Luis, Ismael theybwere all friendly and ready to serve all our needs. My brother in law told them the ceiling fan was amking a weird noise and not turning on or something. Well we went out abd came back to find out a brand new ceiling fan installed in the room. That is what I said more than excelent services you guys get +100
Lovely holiday hotel with a great pool in Coba! On site restaurant had great food options which were beautifully presented. Large rooms with nice showers. Shout out to Victor who managed to flag us down a bus to Tulum on the main road which waited for us avoiding a pricey taxi! Close for visiting the ruins and cenotes close by!
Unfortunately the hotel is at the side of the road which might bother you if you are a light sleeper. Also I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't have a car. It's a 20 minute walk into the centre of Coba which isn't enjoyable in the dark and there's stray dogs which follow/bark at you en route. It's also quite difficult to get public transport from Coba.
Property grounds were beautifully maintained. Nice to hear the birds and jungle sounds. Food is good. Wish the pools were filtered for a swim.
The staff are friendly.
The pool is too dirty that it is unusable. The vegetation is overgrown that getting too and from the room involved gymnastics. The property is very isolated from the town that having a meal out would involve a long dark walk along a high road.
Staff and location
Paid $300 for a room with a plunge pool that could not be used because it was dirty. I asked for it to be cleaned but was not done. Not worth the money.
It is worth travelling to Coba simply to stay in this peaceful exceptionally delicious retreat with well designed spacious rooms in this private sylvan setting with discreetly designed long pool feature and casually elegant patios and dining spaces. Highest recommendations!
What a lovely small hotel in a jungle setting. Good beds large bathrooms quiet. Perfect
Perfect location for a trip to the Coba ruins! I stayed in the suite with private pool; the pool was a little chilly but lovely. Lunch in the onsite restaurant was tasty.
Service was a little slow at times, but overall pleasant.
Amazing. Quiet lovely boutique hotel. Excellent restaurant, service and atmosphere
The Aldea Coba is a unique and well cared for escape. The property offers a sophisticated vibe with a natural jungle environment. The pool was a delightful refresh from a hot Yucatan day. The restaurant did not disappoint with creations carefully prepared featuring local cuisine, delicious! The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend and would certainly visit again during our next adventure through the Yucatan. Thank you Aldea Coba staff!

Lovely oasis 5 minutes drive to the magnificent Coba Mayan ruins. Peaceful, large room with its own plunge pool and huge rain shower which can be opened to the private jungled garden of the room. Very friendly staff and great onsite restaurant!
Stain and blood on the sheet. The pool were dirty. Staffs and manager are rude. Do Not Stay!! When you have issue, they don’t want to help you, the manager will tell the front desk that he’s on vacation. Not Recommended!!!
Beautiful, secluded hotel/grounds with amazing service. The hotel manager (Hugo) went "above & beyond" for us - especially after our Cenote/Maya ruins tour failed us, literally, the night before! He managed to find us a driver AND guide for all things we wanted to do and at less cost! And all this happened around midnight just hours before when we were scheduled to go! Just outstanding - whatever they're paying this guy, it simply isn't enough! Everyone was lovely - cannot recommend enough.
Obviously, it's a bit of effort to get all the way here (from Cancun)- but not a bad thing if you're looking to visit Chichén Itzá & some of the amazing Cenotes in the area. The restaurant was great, but you need potatoes - especially for breakfast! Either some home fries or hash browns; maybe papas fritas with lunch/dinner? But really, these are minor issues...
si beautifully arranged clean and peaceful
our beed smelled terrible
Lovely rooms, great food and drinks, very clean and comfortable
Our bungalow was close to the road and it could be a bit noisy with traffic. Request a room away from the road if possible
amazing location and very relaxing
pool was a bit too cold but we visited in December. The lake was beautifully warm for swimming though.
Mold!! Mold!! Mold!! Unbelievable! Please check the mattress protector and pillow inserts as soon as you check into the room. We found green and black mold on the mattress protector, pillow inserts and on all window curtains. The room/villa is a mold extravaganza. We noticed numerous blood stains on the mattress protector, pillow cases, the flat sheet and one pool towel. Some blood is dark red and some is bright red. It seems that past guests had a tendency to spill blood when sleeping in bed and when lounging by the pool. What has happened here? All pillows have an overpowering smell of sour sweat, all pillow inserts have large yellow circles of sweat stains. The sheets (flat and fitted) have the same disgusting smell. The young men who work there are friendly and we did get “new” pillows and a new mattress protector. Everything still smells like sour sweat and there are blood stains on the top side of the flat sheet, where it may touch my lips and face. I spent two nights sleeping on a stack of my own clothes without any sheet covering. I still cannot stop thinking about those blood stains. Not just a few but many. what has happened in this room or at this hotel? I feel we’ve narrowly escaped something sinister there. The private pool is dirty with fallen leaves and dead big bodies. I also found a piece of disinfectant wipe. For close to $300 per night, this is a huge disappointment. The conditions of the room are inexcusable.
the room was clean and spacious
the hotel is right next to the street so you hear the cars and trucks passing by all the time. the staff is friendly but the place it’s not living up to a 4 star hotel. food is overpriced, no fridge in the room, restaurant closes at 5 pm and the pool is more decoration than something that is to be used.
The place was peaceful, relaxing and clean. The personnel were very welcoming. Food was good in restaurant. Room was nice. Mattress a bit too firm.
Little hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Very modern and completely hidden in jungle. A treat.
We really enjoyed the privacy and intimacy of the place. We got to know the workers really well especially Juan Luis and Mauricio. They provided us with great customer service and the premises where clean and we were surrounded with beautiful vegetation. We will definitely be back. This a good location and it’s pretty central to other small towns we visited. I don’t recommend this place for children.
Lovely place
Beautiful jungle location. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The best restaurant in Coba.
Fantastic Romantic get away. The private villa with the pool was amazing.
My review is a little late but worth the time. My wife and I had an amazing time here. The staff was amazing and the food was unreal and very close to the coba ruins and multiple cenotes. As we pulled up we thought we made a mistake, it is off the beaten path and from the road doesn’t look like much but as we entered the hotel we were pleasantly surprised… The property was beautiful and very inviting.. We were greeted immediately and shown to our bungalow that had its own pool on the private patio. The food was authentic and very tasty. The staff was happy to cook or do what ever they could for us to make our stay enjoyable.. If we are ever in the area we will be back.
As we traveled miles and miles thru nothing but jungle, we started to worry about our accommodations, but Aldea Coba an Escape Boutique is truly a diamond in the jungle! Parking was free and close to the check in desk. We were greeted warmly and taken straight to our villa... complete with private swimming pool! The villas are beautifully integrated with the jungle and offer a wonderful escape. To keep in line with that escape, there are no TVs... but there is free wifi. I especially enjoyed the rainfall shower... with large doors to the jungle. The bed was a little hard for my taste, but my friend loved it. Last, but certainly not least, the food served at the on site restaurant was fabulous. They had a nice variety including local traditional dishes. The civiche was particularly delicious. The owner even had the chef whip up a few additional local dishes for us to try... which were wonderful... and a much needed snack after enjoying the morning in the Coba ruins (which are only a 5 min drive away). All in all, we had a fabulous visit and were truly impressed by this beautiful diamond in the jungle! I would highly recommend it!
Hugo was fantastic and helped us plan excursions and secure taxis every day. The entire staff was great. The food at the restaurant was delicious.
Was surprised with extra charge of $150 for extra person charge. Restaurant was closed
Abby and the staff at Aldea Coba we're very pleasant and helpful. They messaged me everyday to ask if we wanted breakfast delivered to our room, anything we needed they bought to us, requested a cab for us anytime we need one, the service was above and beyond. This hotel is about 30 minutes from Downtown Tulum so you will want to make sure you rent a car or account for traveling back and forth.
Wonderful stay, every thing from room , ambiance, food, staff were first class. Wife commented that this is one of those places that you will remember the rest of your life.
You can’t tell from the road, but this small boutique hotel is an oasis. Beautifully landscaped around the pool and dining area. Very attentive service. Nice food. Starbucks coffee shop. The staff arranged for a private guide to take us through Coba. My wife and I paid a little extra for a room with a dunk pool. The room was big. The shower was huge. The patio with the dunk pool was open to the jungle; it was very relaxing and private. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here.
Outstanding service. Beautiful property and rooms. Great food. The owner and staff took great care of us. Made us feel at home. We would definitely return.
Service was excellent. Abigail and the crew took really good care of everything. We will be back
Look this is the only review that matters so stop reading. This hotel is amazing. Family owned and operated. Great little restaurant with excellent food that owner clearly takes pride in. Amazing staff that bends over backward to be helpful and cool. Is it the Ritz? Nah. But is it a perfect little 6 room hotel in an amazing location that has great food, rooms, and service? Totally. I’d stay here again in a hot Mexican minuto.
Perfect couple retreat. Family owned boutique with perfect customer service, quiet, secluded, great food, comfortable room, wonderful A/C, and just a few minutes from Coba!
A beautiful, comfortable getaway that is only 5 minutes from Coba! Family-owned by an extremely friendly family. The food is amazing... I recommend you order the Mayan Chocolate drink and watch the presentation. The king bungalow was everything we wanted. The pictures do not do it justice. My wife loved this place so much we extended our stay another night and had dinner in bed. There is no tv, but there is Wifi and a powerful air conditioner! The family was very attentive to everything we asked... we will stay here again one day.
Aldea Coba is a real gem. We stayed for 5 nights in a villa with private pool and the entire staff treated us like family. They were very warm, accommodating and quick to help when needed. Hugo (jr and senior) are wonderful and kind hosts who will make sure you have a great time. We will be coming back and highly recommend them to everyone.
We arrived late and the stuff was great they helped us with everything we needed they even re-open the kitchen to cook something for us.
