We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend Amohela guesthouse. The place is well kept and maintained at a very high standard. Safe and secure giving guests peace of mind to relax. We loved the swing in the garden and my children had fun on the trampoline and playground.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen! Das Grundstück ist sehr schön angelegt, die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, es ist super sauber und gepflegt. Die Kinder haben Spielmöglichkeiten im Garten und auch in einem großen Raum im Haus. Das Frühstück war das beste unserer ganzen Rundreise. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
Mir fällt nichts ein, das uns nicht gefallen hätte.

In general, albeit I enjoyed my stay at Amohela Guesthouse, I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY and have to put on record my displeasure pertaining to how I was treated on my last day, i.e. Wednesday, 09 July 2025 with my check-out. On Tuesday, 08 July 2025, when I enquired about the check-out time, I was made aware that the check-out time is 10H00. As I was travelling with my two (2) minor sons, one being only 6 years old, I delayed with a FEW MINUTES to vacate the room I booked as I was still busy packing both my sons’ stuff. The fact that the owner was visibly angry at my sons owing to me delaying a tad, left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was in the bathroom and I could hear my sons telling the owner that I am still busy dressing up. This was owing to the owner having told my kids twice that I was supposed to be out of the room I booked by 10H00. My kids then came running to me and pleaded with me to hurry up as the owner is visibly angry and they do not want us to get into trouble. This whole experience pertaining my check-out really changed my perspective about this establishment and my entire experience. This could have been handled way much better. I am acutely aware that the check-out time is 10H00. It was never my intention to stay a tad longer than I should or am allowed to. However, I think a little consideration and courtesy could have been extended to me. I felt like I was being evicted. This entire experience really left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was planning on going back to Amohela Guesthouse for my son’s 7th birthday on 16 August 2025. I will however not be doing that owing to the experience alluded to above. I think the owner could be a bit more understanding, flexible and accommodating. I literally just needed a few minutes extra to finish up everything without being literally chased away. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️

Dinner was excellent as well. Nice atmosphere Secure carpark inside the premises with plenty of space. Location was convenient for us, 25min from airport. A car is needed (or Uber)

Reviewed Oct 3, 2023Brigitte was an amazing host. She made our stay so comfortable. She was accommodating and understanding. We took apartment 2 which was attached to the entertainment room and that was the highlight of our stay...we played darts till late and there was activity for my 11yr sis. So everybody had something they wanted to do.. The rooms were fantastic. Comfy beds and clean baths. The kitchen was spectacular as it had everything. From salt to kitchenware, cutlery and your own coffee/tea station. Perfect for family of six. Brigitte tended to anything I needed. And the breakfast was of best service. The halaal option was vegetarian but it was so good, perfect for a holiday when you want your breakfast included. Some nearby malls is a bit of drive out and won't cater all halaal options for Muslims. I suggest bring extra food so you don't have to drive out. But regardless it's 100/10. I definitely will be coming back. Btw we loved the fruit salad and hash browns

The host was kind and very helpful, Bridgette went out of her way to make us feel at home. Would highly recommend Amohela Guest house to all traveller's whether is an overnight stay , a weekend getaway or a family holiday it's so worth the stay. Thank you for the lovely stay.
