A beautiful hotel with a genuinely warm welcome. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered check-in three hours early, and small but thoughtful touches, such as our luggage being in the room before we arrived, set the tone for the stay. Staff were generally courteous throughout. We stayed in two different rooms and both were lovely, though we found the Deluxe Room with Pool to be cozier and more charming than the Prestige Room with Pool, despite the latter carrying a higher price tag. Breakfast featured a small but lovely selection of traditional Sardinian treats, which we really appreciated. The food in the restaurant was genuinely delicious. Pricing across the board initially felt steep, but proved to be in line with the wider area, which is among the more expensive in Sardinia. An absolute highlight was dinner at La Colti, a farm to table experience with an affiliation to the hotel. The complementary shuttle service made it a seamlessly convenient evening. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the spa facilities but they looked stunning.
We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel. That said, given the price point and five-star status, a few small but easily fixable things fell short. No bar and pool service. We always had to approach reception to prompt someone to take our order. Turn-down service arrived on 3 out of 4 nights while we were still getting ready around 7 PM, despite the hotel's own restaurant not opening until 7:30 PM and the hotel knowing we had later dinner reservations. Staff also occasionally walked through our private garden while we were in the room. Finally, access to free drinking water was surprisingly limited. At this price point, bottles should be freely available throughout the stay and consistently replenished during turn-down service. All quite minor points and easy to fix — we hope the hotel takes them on board!
My stay at Cascioni Eco Retreat was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by a sense of peace, quiet, and complete harmony with nature. It is the perfect place to disconnect, slow down, and simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The rooms are beautifully designed, with great attention to detail and a wonderful combination of comfort, elegance, and natural elements. I particularly loved having my own little private garden, which made the room feel even more special and secluded. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Everything felt effortless, while still maintaining a very personal and thoughtful level of service. Overall, Cascioni Eco Retreat is an exceptional place and exceeded my expectations. A truly relaxing and memorable experience — 10/10.
No negative, only positive.
The property was exceptional but the staff was even better! Cynthia and the manager plus all the ground staff were incredible. The best booking.com stay we’ve ever had! We got upgraded upon arrival for our 25 year anniversary, wine in our room, even a private shuttle to guide us home when we got very lost at the end of the night!
Nothing!
The staff were professional and courteous. My villa was relaxing and pristine and I was surprised with treats from the hotel. The onsite restaurant, Ulia, and spa were also fantastic.
It feels more like a retreat so there aren’t many things in walking distance, but the restaurant provides shuttle service to two affiliated restaurants.
Cura dei dettagli
Property is nice, location excellent.
Rooms are underwhelming, noise from neighbors was not something they knew how to deal with. No full length mirror in the room. Expensive
Great team who looked after us so well. The whole place has a sense of calm so you relax from the first moment until the last.
Nothing
A beautiful location

Location, Staff was nice
Too expensive, for what you get (but this is somehow an overall issue in Sardinia)
It’s a very wholesome property, calm, surrounded by nature, foods come straight from their garden. The spa is incredible and the women at the spa was absolutely adorable. The room is very nice (we had the one with the pool). Beautiful beaches just 15 min drive. It was the perfect break and relaxation we needed!
Service is a little slow and personally the restaurant is not worth it (we ordered a piece of meat which was not well cooked we couldn’t eat it, after waiting 1h for it…). The service can be more attentive when it comes to food and drinks by the pool for example, some days they were really proactive and came to ask us if we needed anything, some others we had to make the effort to go to the bar…
The resort is undeniably beautiful, private, and well situated within the Sardinian countryside. The heated pool is a nice touch, housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff are friendly when available. However, this is not a true 5-star, SLH, or Michelin-level experience. Service throughout our stay was consistently below expectations — staff were difficult to find around the pool, requests were often forgotten and breakfast orders were regularly incorrect. Both the breakfast and lunch fell well below Michelin standard, with breakfast including powdered scrambled eggs (!) and boiled eggs that arrived completely raw. Despite the Michelin branding displayed throughout the property, neither the breakfast or lunch reflected that level of quality. The pool experience lacked basic comfort expected at this price point, with no cushions on the sun loungers. Overall, the service felt haphazard, and we did not feel the staff had been trained to a true 5-star standard. For example, you cannot order an alcoholic drink before 3pm as the barman starts at that time. We did raise some of these issues with the staff during our stay. As frequent guests of luxury resorts, we found the overall experience impossible to justify at €500–900 per night. There was little recognition of our highest-tier membership status, and the “eco” positioning seemed overstated given the daily disposable plastic water bottles in rooms. On one occasion, a dog was allowed to roam freely around the main pool area and urinate in the gardens, which felt entirely inappropriate for a hotel positioning itself as a luxury resort. We also overheard numerous other guests discussing similar frustrations around apathetic service, food and incorrect orders, suggesting these issues are part of a wider problem. Ultimately, this is a beautiful 4-star countryside hotel with average food and service, but it falls far short of the luxury experience its pricing and branding suggest.
I really loved this place. I went for 10 days because I needed a proper break - and I absolutely got one. Beautiful setting, great lifestyle, lovely surrounding places. The food was fantastic and what made it really great were the people working there. I have stayed in lots of 5 star places and they can be impersonal and rigid. Cascione is different because it’s smaller and the people there are warm and good fun. I would recommend this place all day long.
The property is gorgeous and peaceful, set amongst a valley of olive trees. The rooms feel very private, clean and comfortable.
Nothing to mention.
Great place to enjoy the Sardinian countryside. Very quiet, cozy, and with a great service, we had an amazing time. The spa was really great, the room with the pool was nice and we ate really well. Don’t hesitate to come you’ll have a great time. Special thanks to the team that took care of us during breakfast, lunch and diner, notably Gianmarco, Gianfranco and Gianni!
Perfect oasis in north Sardinian hinterland. Convenient for coast and inland exploration. Well maintained and the heated pool an unexpected bonus.
Nothing
Tout, nous avons TOUT aimé ! L’environnement, l’atmosphère, le confort, l’intimité de notre suite, le restaurant et surtout le personnel, chaleureux et attentif (un grand merci à Rita et Michela).
Rien
Beautiful design and location with excellent staff and food. Relaxing atmosphere with extensive grounds to explore and beautiful views. Also worth taking advantage of the shuttle service to the sister restaurant Il Coti to experience local Sardinian food
If you want to explore wider you need a car as taxis are extremely expensive (€60 for 5km journey)
This is the most incredible hotel nestled in the midst of the olive groves. Everything about thus retreat is perfect. Particularly the lovely garden that was attached to our room. The hotel restaurants were fantastic and the free shuttle made a big difference. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved it.
Absolutely nothing
This is a wonderfully relaxing, laid back hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had some excellent recommendations for local Restaurants and places to visit. Our room had its own little pool and two sunbeds and we just chilled most days. The room we had was very comfortable (apart from the pillows on the bed) and very well appointed. Coffee maker, kettle and little treats left every evening. Breakfast was just ok. No granola or cereal (we went out to buy some)….not very much fruit - a bit of melon and some fresh figs. Lots of cake and different bread. You could order cooked breakfast, but I would have liked to see more fruit. We didn’t use the main pool, it looked lovely though. All in all a great few days of peace and tranquility.
I have trouble sleeping Often waking up several times a night. I noticed during a stay at the Retreat several years ago that I slept thru the night. It was no fluke Once again I have slept thru the night. Also, dinner is fantastic
They could heat the large pool
Le cadre, la chambre
Ils facturent le repassage et il n’y pas de fer dans la chambre, au prix de la nuit je trouve cela aberrant pour un hôtel de ce standing. Peu de choix au petit déjeuner.
Amazing and beautiful property and facilities. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful (shoutout to Giulia, Katerina and Michela for the incredible service). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a restorative luxury stay near Porto Cervo
I had several issues during my stay, but the two stars is largely for the slow and very disappointing response from the hotel to the feedback I provided prior to leaving any kind of review. The property is very nice and my room was lovely (which I would hope would be the case for the high price). Check-in process was fine and the woman helping me was kind and helpful. My experience at the spa was excellent, and the spa manager was wonderful. That was the highlight of the stay. However when I came back up after the spa, a different woman was working reception. I had not been given an overview of the aperitif/bar/outdoor situation, and there was no one at the bar outside, so I asked her if I was able to get a drink from there to take back to my room. Rather than assisting, she just said to ask the bartender. I explained no one was there, but she again didn’t offer to help, so I just went out to wait for someone to come back. After getting ready for dinner, I returned and asked again at reception if I could push my reservation back a little so I could sit outside for the sunset. The same woman again just told me to go and check inside the restaurant, and I had to explain there was no in there when I had just walked inside in full view of the reception desk. It was very odd. I was also surprised that for a rather small and intimate boutique hotel, there were multiple large families there, which resulted in children running around yelling as I tried to enjoy a drink and watching tv programs out loud throughout dinner. Trying to enjoy an expensive tasting menu while listening to Peppa pig playing for the entirety of the meal was not really the experience I was hoping for or expecting for this caliber of hotel. I woke up to a text from the hotel asking if they could send someone to get my bags at 10:45, which felt a little pushy. Breakfast was a nice spread, but service was hectic and my order came out wrong twice so I eventually just gave up. But the biggest issue for me was that as I was showering and getting dressed, I realized that there were men directly outside cleaning the small private pool of the room. The small window of the shower looks right to that area and is not covered, and the curtains of the front sliding doors are see through, so it was pretty uncomfortable. I quickly threw on a robe and asked if they could wait till I left. I then texted back to the hotel explaining the situation, but when I got to the front desk to checkout they hadn’t even looked at the message, so I had to explain again. They apologized but did nothing else. I reached out to the hotel membership site I booked through after and provided all of this feedback which they sent to the hotel, but it took over a week to get a response, which rather than being apologetic or taking accountability, was really just defensive or countering everything I said. Some of the responses were, "We apologise if you did not feel supported by the front desk team during what was a particularly busy moment.”- neither time I spoke to the front desk was a busy moment. There were no other guests present and the woman was not dealing with something else. "Should guests request a quieter or more secluded table, our team will always do their best to accommodate this.” The outdoor terrace is small and there wouldn’t have been anywhere I could move where I would not be able to hear the show playing; it seems pretty silly that I would be expected to isolate myself inside rather than the restaurant just asking the table to turn the iPad down to respect the other guests dining. Per the incorrect breakfast orders- "The hotel was unable to verify the specific details but apologises if this was the case.” Why would the hotel be able to verify the specific details of an incorrect omelette? And as for the pool, "The hotel notes that the pool cleaning was part of the daily service routine and not related to your checkout. They also advised that the curtains in both the living area and bedroom are made from high-quality, non-transparent fabric, and that the bathroom window is positioned high and not visible from outside.” If this really is a daily service, then guests should be notified of the time men will be entering the private space of the room, but regardless, it seems unnecessary to have the cleaning occur 20 minutes prior to checkout time when guests would be getting ready to depart. Most importantly, if I could see the men through the window and through the front door blinds that are absolutely not “non-transparent,” then they could certainly see me. Finally- "Overall, the hotel noted that you were kind and polite during your stay, and as no concerns were raised directly at the time, they were unable to address them in person. The General Manager is available to speak with guests at any point during their stay, and they expressed surprise at receiving the feedback after departure.” Of course I tried to be polite. Given that I spoke to the reception directly to ask questions that were not assisted with properly, and that I did in fact message the hotel WhatsApp about the privacy issue and explained it again at checkout, this statement really makes no sense. Reception barely offered an apology for it- they certainly did not say they would get the general manager to assist, and no one ever followed up about it until I raised the issue again through the booking site. This just felt like such a disappointing way for the hotel to handle the feedback, and turned what could have been minor issues that needed improvement into a much larger customer service issue.
We just returned from a few nights at Cascioni. Neither me or my husband have ever slept so well - the beds are SO comfortable. The interior deco is really lovely everywhere and extremely calming. The location is SO beautiful. The view across the hills make you feel very relaxed but is still only a 10 minute drive from really fabulous beaches. The property is small and quiet. It was fully booked when we were there but we hardly saw other guests at the pool. The staff are lovely and really go out their way to ensure you are having a lovely relaxing time. They produce oil on site and gave us a gorgeous gift of olive oil as we left. It's completely delicious. The spa is WOW. We had use of the spa even though we had no treatments and it's really spectactular. So relaxing and exclusive. The area for breakfast/dinner and pool is just all very well done, feels exclusive and homely. We ate dinner there one night which is expensive, but was really delicious and romantic. We also had a snack lunch that we really enjoyed and was much tastier and reasonably priced than the options on the Costa Smeralda coast. Also the wine is great. We loved our terrace - it was so peaceful sitting out there morning and evening. The quality of the beauty products - soap etc is also great - they are all made on site. If I really had to pick out improvements, and this is purely based on the high price tag, I would suggest an improved breakfast option. The food was nice, but I have seen much more varied options elsewhere. I think there could also be more staff available during the day to serve drinks/ lunch etc. I think the sunbeds were perfectly adequate but they could be more cushioned considering the nightly hotel cost. Also, milk in the bedrooms for coffee and/or alternative tea bag varieties would be welcomed. I'd love to come back here. Thanks so much Cascioni.
Peaceful Luxury in the Heart of Sardinia Cascioni Eco Retreat is an absolute haven of tranquility and elegance. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. The staff are exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, always ready to assist with a smile, and clearly passionate about making every guest’s stay unforgettable. The suites are spacious, beautifully designed, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. Every detail — from the private terraces to the high-quality amenities — reflects thoughtful care and refined taste. Waking up to the sound of nature, with panoramic views over the countryside, is an experience I will never forget. The retreat’s setting is serene and secluded, yet still close to some of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches and charming towns. The on-site restaurant is a highlight in itself, offering fresh, local, and exquisitely prepared dishes that showcase the region’s flavors. Cascioni Eco Retreat offers the perfect combination of luxury, privacy, and authenticity. It is the ideal place to relax, recharge, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Sardinia. I will return without hesitation.
Everything was lovely and perfect. A very peaceful place where we really relaxed, we love the smell, the products, the fresh food, amazing food. Lovely staff. Everything is perfect. We will love to come back. The spa is also lovely.
I couldn't say I didn't like something. Perhaps the fact that they don't let you iron your clothes in the room and you have to give them to them in advance and this is sometimes not possible.
Nice rooms, and comfortable.
The atmosphere felt flat and lacked warmth or character. There were no distinctive details to make the experience feel special. Breakfast was a bit too basic and could benefit from more variety or thoughtful touches
From the moment my husband and I arrived for a 10 day stay we were met with friendly and helpful staff that took every effort to make our stay as if we were long time friends. From the comfortable bed and pillows to the housekeeping of our room which was serviced twice a day. The hotel offers a beautiful buffet of pastries and homemade yogurt to die for and they can also make you a hot breakfast which was always outstanding. Lunch and dinner were always well done with great service and great food. You must try the ricotta soufflé for a dinner dessert - it's to die for! They also have their own olive oil which they produce and it is excellent. We would go back!
Aesthetically very pleasing Private Restful
Liked it all
Lovely rooms, very peaceful setting, good staff/service. Not sure about the food, evening tasting menu was not very nice. Just wash
We had the best time at the Cascioni Eco Retreat. From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding - we were welcomed by Katrina, our car was parked for us and our bags delivered to our room while Katrina provided us with refreshments, checked us in and gave us a little tour before taking us to our beautiful suite with our very own plunge pool (amazing - we had a dip first thing in the morning, during the day and last thing at night!). The hotel is beautifully designed in understated luxury style with hand made ceramics by a local artist. Breakfast was perfect for us with fresh, local produce being served and eggs from the hotel's own hens. We dined out each evening (we enjoyed both La Colti and Cutter Lounge, the former being our preference albeit it is best to have a very light lunch in order to enjoy the full agriturismo dining experience - even so, we would recommend going for the reduced menu). We very much enjoyed driving to nearby San Pantaleo and had a few lovely dinners there. We had lunch at the Ulia restaurant at the hotel once and the food was very good if a little on the expensive and small portions side. We felt that the experiences offered by the hotel (kayaking and other activities, wellness treatments etc), as well as the Ulia restaurant, were priced too high (we probably would have taken advantage of these options had the prices been around 25-30% lower). Nevertheless, we can't wait to go back!
Last night we enjoyed an extraordinary dinner at Ulia, nestled within Cascioni Eco Retreat, a serene sanctuary just a short drive from Cannigione and Baia Sardinia in Gallura. Under the creative leadership of the newly appointed Michelin-starred Chef Salvatore Camedda, every course delighted us with imaginative twists on Sardinian cuisine. Using zero‑kilometre produce from their on‑estate gardens and foraged treasures, he transformed local ingredients into an array of dishes that were visually stunning, deeply authentic, and utterly delicious. Our group—us and our fellow guests—were completely enthralled by the hospitality and professionalism shown by the staff. The atmosphere at Cascioni encapsulates that perfect blend of elegance and calm: the location is private and beautifully restored, with olive groves and natural reserve surroundings that provide a genuine sense of escape. If you’re seeking a refined yet authentic way to discover Sardinian flavors—reimagined by a Michelin-starred talent—then an evening at Ulia is a must-book. It’s not just a meal, but a culinary journey intertwined with nature’s beauty and heartfelt service. Five stars from us for Salvatore Camedda’s inspired cuisine, Cascioni’s stunning setting, and the warm, polished hospitality.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hidden eco retreat in Sardinia. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, with lush grounds, private heated baths, and just a 10-minute drive to stunning beaches. The staff were exceptional—kind, attentive, and welcoming. The food was incredible, showcasing local flavors with fresh ingredients and an amazing wine selection. We also dined at their sister restaurants, which had delicious menus and great vibes. This is a perfect escape for anyone looking to relax, eat well, and enjoy the natural beauty of Sardinia. Can’t wait to return!
Just one receptionist was able to adequately speak in English! Head of conciergierie was overly anxious, clearly faking gentleness and speaking wrong English too, general manager follows along. Must be a signature trait. Restaurant staff was on point but everything is overpriced. If you had other experiences in Sardinia you'll immediately notice it. Very beautiful gardens and SPA but clearly another tourist trap.
This was one of the most luxuriant places my wife and I have ever stayed! They partner up with a local agriturismo and everything is made either here or there. We were treated like royalty upon arrival by all the staff and that treatment did not change during our entire five day stay! From the front desk staff (Adrianna in particular) to the restaurant staff (special shout out to Giacomo) to the maintenance/grounds crew, we were always greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome. Our room and garden were beautiful and the plunge pool- OMG... did I mention the plunge pool? Nothing like starting and ending your day with a dip in your own private heated and inviting plunge pool with either a cup of espresso or a glass of wine depending- just wish I could've fit in the overhead compartment for the flight home.. And the spa was not too shabby either. The breakfast was also wonderful. As for dinner, we only ate there once, and that was the only thing we found somewhat lacking- high prices and small portions. Didn't matter in the grand scheme of things- we will definitely be back!
The food
nothing
Fabulous surroundings in a lovely, peaceful setting.... an olive grove. Rooms are very comfortable, nice living room, very warm private pool at the room. Also, a larger pool for the hotel. Not many rooms, very spread out among the trees. Food is fantastic, very high quality home made. spectacular spa and you can book it so just for your group. All in all a great experience. I would return in a heart beat!!.
Wow! A serene, beautiful, relaxing place nestled among the olive groves. Extremely comfortable, beautiful rooms. Thoughtful and attentive service. Restaurant is excellent, turning out beautiful breakfasts and creative, well executed and delicious dinners. Lovely experiences on offer.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cascioni. The pool was beautiful and relaxing, the spa was stunning and the treatments were wonderful, and the food was delicious. The entire property is surrounded by olive trees and hills, helping it feel like a real retreat (and it smells amazing). The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, and made some excellent recommendations for food, beaches, and activities (special thanks to Eleanora!). It felt secluded, but we could easily drive to great restaurants and beaches within 15-20 minutes. We truly hope to return again soon.
The room, staff, service, spa, location, restaurant, everything about this place was exceptional.
Nothing
The staff were mostly extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We liked the idea of the property as a place to relax although apart from the pool area and your room facilities there wasn’t a lot. We didn’t understand the Sauna, plunge pool, steam room concept and, assuming we understood correctly, a limit of one hour’s use. We didn’t bother. The restaurant was pleasant La Colti Farmhouse was a super evening.
It was impossible to find. There is not one sign directing you to the property and TomTom listed a place five miles away. Even the marker at the entrance is not obvious (we drove past it three times). The need to have music playing all the time wasn’t restful for us, particularly day one when we were the only people sitting around the pool having to listen to something weird with an annoying beat. We asked for it to be turned down as close to off but not much happened. We left for our room.It was more reminiscent of a Spanish beach bar than a place to relax and read. We didn’t understand the eco bit at all and only realised it’s importance from the questionnaire we were asked to fill in. We weren’t able to as we didn’t understand them. We thought the nearly £1000 per night didn’t reflect value or satisfaction compared with the other stays during the trip.
Easily the best place we have stayed. I booked this for my partners birthday and we were both blown away. The grounds are phenomenal, the staff are beyond hospitable, the room was stunning with the comfiest bed and the breakfast options were perfect. We used the spa facilities twice on our stay and both times we had the entire spa to ourselves and the treatments we had were amazing. We also booked in for a meal at their sister restaurant - a set menu of traditional Sardinian cuisine- another perfect experience. We will be returning in the future and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Outstanding facilities immersed among olive trees.
Perhaps the restaurant - dinner menu and service - was slightly below expectations, still good but may need little extra push
I arrived at this so-called "boutique hotel" or “Eco Retreat”with cautious optimism. But what awaited me was an exercise in how not to run a hospitality establishment. It began at the front desk, where the staff greeted me with the kind of enthusiasm you'd expect from someone who'd just been informed they'd have to work overtime. Nobody opened a door or helped with a bag. Not a smile, not a hint of welcome…just a snooty glance of arrogance, followed by a barrage of paperwork and signatures and requests for identification that made an international border crossing look easy. I knew the over billing was coming after I had to pre-pay for a room that I suspected would be a let down. How did this become a pre-pay? Once in the room or villa, it became clear that the marketing department was having a field day with their descriptors. "Spacious" is apparently a relative term here, unless you've spent the last five years living in a broom closet. Tripping over the coffee table I took the risk of opening a miniature sized glass jar with an “eco” amount of nuts in it. Let the death by a thousand cuts begin. The shallow four walled enclosure felt more like a converted garage than a luxurious suite or villa. There’s nothing like paying 5€ for an eco jar of nuts when paying is 1200 € a night Everything in this place feels like it's priced for oligarchs. A bottle of water from the mini-bar came with a price tag that made me think they had imported it from some Himalayan spring carried on the backs of Sherpas. And Breakfast! I sent back a limp half piece of half hearted toasted bread that accompanied my luke warm eggs and processed ham for breakfast. No salt, no pepper. Sardinia…emmmmm. The lunch menu reads like a culinary snooze-fest. Bland, uninspired, and devoid of the kind of flavors that make traveling to Italy worthwhile. I gagged as the plunge pool coughed up what looked like an excrement covered baby wipe from an uncleaned filter. I’m not making this up. Do they even clean the water at the Eco retreat? Beware the word “Eco” is used here as an excuse to not wash the bath towels and sheets or check the plunge pool for used wipes. Relax by the pool, impossible. Experience the most uncomfortable paper thin pool loungers on the planet. There are no towels or cushions in sight and no one there to hand them out. QR codes on little sticks reminiscent of dystopian pandemic lockdowns litter the property. No paper menus here, everything is digital. Let’s spend more time staring at the phone while trying to enjoy the Dolce Vita. Then there's the website, a masterclass in deception. Booking direct was promised to be an "exclusive" experience…turns out the only thing exclusive about it was the sinking feeling of being misled. Who knew “SLH” is an affiliate site. The eco retreat even has a hard back copy of the SLH properties in the room. If you’re confused so am I. The front desk couldn’t even produce an accurate copy of my bill upon a 30 minute grueling check out. The clumsiness of the process painful to part of. On a scale of 1-10 the check out process was a 0. The cherry on top of my stay. And where was the General Manager, Giovanni…… in all of this? Missing in action. Not a greeting, not a word of acknowledgment, as if presiding over this catastrophe from some distant, unseen realm. Perhaps it’s better that way; there’s nothing worse than forced smiles and empty platitudes from someone who clearly couldn’t care less about the guests or their experience. I felt empathy for the people who work there. It could be something special but it isn’t. It’s non- starter. Like a Yugoslavian car. A jovial waiter and ever so warm spa receptionist did give me hope that the place actually has a pulse, but to sum it up, this hotel is the physical embodiment of a cash grab, high on promises, low on delivery, and utterly devoid of soul. A hollow shell where hospitality goes to die. Even the meh hotel Taxi driver, Adamo put another nail in the coffin of with an ever so not nice demand for more money, which he got for an overpriced Toyota ride to the airport. Avoid at all costs.
Wonderful gem which provides a feel of luxury and serenity. The cuisine is exquisite, everything served looked and tasted phenomenal. The wine cellar had a rich selection and we tried some great wines there. Also the villas provide privacy for couples to enjoy. The spa was pleasant too.
Beautiful property, peaceful, amazing food and a delight to stay at overall. We went with two younger children ( which I don’t recommend), as the resort is very well suited for couples. Regardless, they were beyond accommodating and helpful in every way. The breakfast was tasty, and we had a great dinner experience here as well. Their deserts were light and tasty! We enjoyed our large spacious room and the kind staff - from the moment we arrived, we felt the resort being a true 5 star luxury boutique experience. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated with a private pool and two showers / bathrooms. If you are a couple - or with older children - this place is a must visit. Note, location is 10 minutes drive from any store or town - so you will need a car - but besides that 10/10!
Charming eco resort with cosy spa. A splattering of beautiful beaches and coves ranging from 15 minutes to 1+ hour drive from the resort. If you golf, Pevero is about 15 minutes drive from the resort. The F&B crew are sweet and aim to please. The pathway to the rooms are pebbled, so leave your stilettos at home. There is a cheerful and fun family restaurant 5 minutes drive from the resort called L’Oasis, a supermarket and pharmacy about 15 minutes of less from the premise.
The resort is a lovely gem...views of the water with the feeling of being secluded, away from traffic, hustle & bustle. The food was exceptional...bar drinks phenomenal. We loved the way the staff treated us like family and knew everything about our trip by the time we left. We will absolutely be back. The rooms are just lovely. The front porch is honestly one of our favorite spaces to relax and read. It never felt so remote that you were "alone"....but peaceful and befitting of a bit of barefoot luxury on the island. It's worth heading to a beach you research that is less crowded...we loved a little find that we had to hike to that shared a stretch with Nikki Beach. The ones that were closer to the property were too crowded for our liking.
The pool could perhaps use a couple more loungers as we ended up sitting on benches/chairs when loungers were full. The cushioned seating area was available but for catching a nap in the sun a lounger would have been nice. Also, while the special farm dinner was a memorable event, the meal lasted much too long for our jet-lagged crew and literally filled us with twice the food we would normally order because it was a set menu. I would suggest you head into Porto Cervo to enjoy a dinner at one of the marina-front restaurants if you are looking for a luxury option off-site.
Staff was amazing and attentive (and provided ample restaurant recommendations - thanks Valentina and Teresa!), breakfast was amazing and the facilities were gorgeous. Cascioni is an unbelievable eco retreat with lovely facilities that make you relax the moment you step foot on the property. We enjoyed a massage and multiple meals - one of the highlights was the welcome party the hotel threw for all guests and friends of the hotel, complete with live jazz band and delicious bites and wine!
Everything exceeded expectations but if we had to highlight one item, it would be to provide better facility / general information in room, i.e. a typical hotel folder with all the pertinent info like restaurant hours, wifi password, etc.
We loved our stay at the resort. From the private pools to the tranquil spa and idyllic surroundings, the experience was amazing. The staff was absolutely wonderful as well. They facilitated any bookings prior to and during our stay and everything was seamless. We hope to come back if we are so lucky.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the countryside. We enjoyed all the facilities and our stunning room/suite with a pool. The staff were amazing, as was the delicious food, both at the hotel and the sister restaurants nearby.
Just sublime.... The perfect warm, inviting welcome from Elenora greeted us and from then on it was all uphill. The intiricacies and detail in the interior design and landscaping make for a most pleasant stay. We booked two rooms both with small pools for our family of four. Although there is also another much larger pool at the hotel for all. We picked this hotel for it's tranquility and surroundings and the mention of vegan options. (more on this later) The service within the restaurant is second to none, and a huge thank you to ALL the amazing staff, notably Federico and Andrea and the magnificent Mauro who is exceptional in his first class service and thoughtfulness. They always remembered my pillow and provided blankets when the wind picked up a little. Totally faultless and yet discreet. Five stars plus for the restaurant service and to the chef that did their best to accommodate the vegans within our family. So, the hotel does make note of being vegan/vegetarian friendly. With this to mind, perhaps more options would have been so helpful and taken the stress away on both sides of getting this arranged prior to our arrival. Even a small vegan menu would have been just perfect. The vegan cakes we requested were just delicious and could easily have been out for breakfast for all, but obviously labelled accordingly. Our only criticism was a night out at The Cutter Lounge restaurant in a nearby local town. This is billed as a sister restaurant to the hotel and under their umbrella, with transfers included. How disappointing this turned out to be with zero vegan options, even though on asking we were told there would be. Appalling service from our server and blatantly rude, to the point of throwing the bread on the table. No help in sourcing anything vegan, so we had to provide options for ourselves ie a tomato pizza with vegetables. No dessert either so we popped next door to an ice cream parlour that offered four delicious vegan ice cream varieties. Easy. So with this aside, and to the credit of the Cascioni, who treated us exceptionally the following evening after our experience, we have had the ultimate escape surrounded by the Sardinian mountains. Highly recommended for those wishing to indulge in the peace of life, away from the madding crowd. Thank you Cascioni for looking after us. You all did yourselves proud. We will never forget our time making memories that will last a lifetime.
This is truely a amazing place to stay, relax and unwind. All the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. There are complimentary shuttles to the San pantaleo market, which is set in a beautiful village, and to the local beach. We took advantage of the picnic experience and the attention to detail to make this such a memorable part of our stay was exceptional , the restaurant was fantastic. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back.
Rooms were genuinely excellent - very spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Beautiful grounds and garden and pool. The pool is bigger than it looks in photos and very quiet with great views. The spa/sauna area was lovely. Great location to drive to nearby towns.
Breakfast was a little shambolic - had to re-order items multiple times before they arrived. The buffet was cute but often seemed lean and not replenished- perhaps would be better off serving small buffet portions to the table or replenishing general buffet more often. They could benefit by offering a clear single menu of the available extras and their cost (eg, wine tasting available - but at extra cost, but sauna and spa is free). Those aspects (breakfast and multiple menus / offerings without clarity on price) lacked the polish of other Small Luxury Hotels where I have stayed (eg Lumiares in Lisbon). Having said that, the actual accom and facilities were divine and pools were delightful - would recommend, hence the high rating.
One of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in, surrounded by nature. The spa is amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated.
We stayed at Cascioni Eco Retreat for 10 nights and that was the best choice ever. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was amazing. Outside and inside are the best you can wish for. Pure relaxation and tranquility. The staff is superb! Friendly, helpful and always there to assist. Due to them our stay was even better. Chapeau to the Team! The food is fantastic, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The vegetables are fresh from their own land as well as their eggs. We ate several times in the restaurant and we both loved it! The atmosphere in the hotel is really great. We really would like to return and stay again. If you would like to go on an excursion, please ask the front desk. They are more than willing to help you. Thank you staff at Cascioni Eco Retreat for our lovely stay at your hotel.
Hands down an ultimate 5 star experience! Heavenly views and food. The most incredible staff. A gym, a spa… can’t wait to go back!! If you go to Sardinia… stay here! Nestled in the country and minutes away from stunning beaches and authentic towns/ night life. It doesn’t get better. Thank you so much Cascioni!
The resort is wonderful. Quiet and peaceful with an idyllic outlook. The rooms and pool area were all fantastic. The staff were great and the food and cocktails were amazing. The beds were super comfy too.
