Me ha gustado todo. La tranquilidad de la zona. La seguridad 24 horas. La amabilidad de los anfitriones Montse y Jaume. Nos hemos sentido como en casa.

Amamos este sitio, está en pleno contacto con la naturaleza, pura paz y tranquilidad y al mismo tiempo con una ubicación ideal si quieres salir a cenar, tomar algo o dar un paseo a orillas del mar. Sus anfitriones y el personal fabulosos, súper amables y una atención de 10. Los desayunos excelentes y deliciosos. La habitación súper limpia, amplia y muy cómoda. Todos los días nos hacían la habitación y nos cambiaban las toallas. También han tenido el detalle de cada día dejarnos snacks y bebidas en el mini bar incluido. Está muy cerquita de la playa y en una zona muy chula y muy segura para andar a cualquier hora. Súper súper recomendable y repetiríamos sin dudarlo

L'aménagement des lieux étaient exceptionnel, le logement très grand et fonctionnel. Bien décoré et amenagé. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et bien garni. Le personnel aux petits soins. Une très belle expérience.

Para llegar al hotel hay que pasar por una carretera que no está asfaltada y cuando llueve, se embarra y se llena de charcos.

Me encanto! Y el trato del personal fue excelente, con una mermelada deliciosa preparada por ellos en el desayuno.

the hotel was even better as described, a place to really relax and enjoy. Great location close to the beach and near many restaurants. The hotel owners were absolute gems, very friendly and lovely. Definitely recommend this place and will be back someday!

El hotel es un Oasis de calma, no le falta ningún detalle. La zona común es preciosa, con vegetación bien cuidada e integrada en el estilo del hotel . Una piscina de tamaño perfecto y muebles exteriores bonitos. Las villas son amplias, limpias y con una decoración bonita, te da sensación de calma y bienestar. No falta detalle en nada. El desayuno es maravilloso, muy bien servido y con la amabilidad y tranquilidad que transmiten sus dueños Jaime y Montse. En un espacio no muy grande pero que te transporta a la esencia de la vegetación caribeña del norte del país. Zona muy tranquila pero cerca de restaurantes, tiendas, playas y lugares de interés. Nosotros volveremos, nos hubiéramos quedado 1 semana más.

What a perfect place to stay. Very beautiful, comfortable and clean rooms. Super friendly owners. Breakfast was very nice! The garden is peaceful and it is only 5 min walk to the beach. We want to come back here.

Je n’ai pas pu aimer puisque je n’ai pas trouvé l’hôtel donc je n’ai pas séjourné dans l’hôtel punta popy hotel-Adults Only hôtel introuvable j’ai dû en trouver en trouver un autre en urgence , je me suis renseigné auprès de tous les restaurants ainsi que les locaux et Hôtels avoisinant mais personne ne connaissait l’existance de cet l’hôtel Punta popy pourtant j’étais bien à l’adresse indiquée c’est incroyable et lamentable

Quite boutique hotel. The owners are serving home made breakfast. It is super clean, great location, just five minutes walk from the beach and a tons of great restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet and almost private vacation, this is the place.

Pour les amateurs de petites structures intimistes comme nous, le Punta Popy Boutique Hôtel a été le parfait choix à Las Terrenas. On se sent comme à la maison dans ce jardin luxuriant, qui abrite trois maisons de type créole (5 chambres), une piscine centrale et un espace petit-déjeuner. Tenu par un couple d'espagnols très sympathiques, les échanges ont été quotidiens et Jaume nous a fournis plein de renseignements et de tips. Il nous a également aidés pour la location de la voiture. Les chambres sont joliment décorées et très propres. Une mention spéciale pour les friandises et les boissons à disposition. Les petits-déjeuners sont bons et copieux. L'emplacement est au calme absolu, un peu en retrait de la route de bord de mer (5mn à pied). La plage de Punta Popy est à 10 mn à pied. L'hôtel est très proche de plusieurs restaurants le long de la route de bord de mer et la partie de Las Terrenas appelée Village des pêcheurs est à 15 mn à pied. Nous recommandons à 100 % !

The place is beautiful, great design, not only the room but also the garden area, very tropical and relaxing. All of it reminded me of Bali. The hotel is located in a quiet area, ten minute walk or so from the town’s center. If you enjoy walking to go places, this is a good location. Also the owners are at the property in the morning to cook breakfast and are attentive. The room was comfortable.

I did not rate my experience as a 10 for several reasons with areas to improve. Based on my traveling experience this is not a Boutique Hotel as it lacks many services. This is more like an elegant Bed and Breakfast place. After 8pm there is no employee to assist, there is only a guard at the entrance booth. If you want to eat something they don’t have any food (except for breakfast which is good, made by the owner himself), so plan to have dinner elsewhere even if you are tired. If you want to buy something and eat it in the room, good luck, as there is no silverware, bottle opener, or anything of that sort. And since there is no staff after 8pm you cannot ask for anything. My check in experience was not good. I arrived 45 minutes before check in time, after a three hour bus ride from Santo Domingo. I approached the young women inside the booth and told her my name. She said that the check in was at 3pm. I asked her if she could go ahead and start the paperwork, get my passport, but she said the check in was at 3pm. I was standing in front of her with my luggage and she never offered me to have a seat in the area close by. I had to asked her where to go to wait. I was just standing waiting for 3pm, so I asked her if the reason I could not check in was because the room was not ready. She said it was ready, but check in was at 3pm. I could not believe what was happening, made no sense, I was tired and by then annoyed by the lack of common sense. When she finally showed me to the room, she never offered to help me with my luggage, nor she showed me the room to explain what they had. I had to go out to where she was to ask her how to close the wooden shutters, etc. This girl needs to be trained on customer service, teach her to smile and say hello when guests are around, assist as needed, etc. Also as a coffee lover I was happy to see that I had a Nespresso machine in the room, but then I realized they only leave one capsule a day.

Piccolo hotel molto curato. La posizione è ottima, 300 metri dalla spiaggia di Punta Popy e poco di più dal centro. I proprietari sono molto simpatici e accoglienti e la colazione è davvero eccellente.

Best stay we had in the DR. The rooms are actually small villas, each individual. Huge bed! Very clean room and they clean it daily - change towels. The hotel property itself looks like a little Balinese gem, small but clean pool, amazing sunbeds with very comfortable cushions. Once on property all chaos disappears. Amazing breakfast: fruit, homemade jam (as good as raved about in other reviews), 1 hot dish to choose, freshly made juice and coffee. Owners are very friendly and helpful and let us store luggage the last day.

El desayuno espectacular. De los mejores de mi vida y mira que he estado en hoteles… La amabilidad de Jaume y Montse es también un calor añadido.

La ubicación es “casi” perfecta. Pero está a seis minutos de la playa por un camino con poco arcén y bastante oscuro. No es un problema de seguridad ciudadana, porque en la zona no hay delincuencia, sino de convivir con el tráfico durante el trayecto.

The hosts are amazing, very hospitable, breakfast is great with fresh juice, coffee, fresh fruit, eggs and everything served as order. Great bread as well! Service is top notch! The bed is huge and comfortable! The ventilator above the bed works great to cool us and the room down. The room is extremely clean and the whole place is kept in excellent condition. The rooms are cleaned daily and restocked with free water and snack. The whole experience is amazing. There is a pool and the whole place has a great combination of modern and jungle vibe with beach 5 minutes away

Wi fi can sometimes be weak and non existent in some locations of the room but not that big of a problem

All of the previous reviews of Punta Popy Boutique hotel are correct. The hotel is amazing! Very cozy, clean and well-maintained. Jayme and Montse are absolutely lovely, as well as the other staff who work at the property. The breakfast was delicious, homemade and had different choices. Jayme was very helpful in arranging an ATV for us to use to explore the island a bit more. He gave us a map to get to other beaches and gave restaurant recommendations. The pool was exceptionally clean and very refreshing. Because of the small size of the hotel, many times I got to enjoy it on my own. If you want a small, quiet, adults-only hotel close to the beach and restaurants, I would highly recommend booking Punta Popy.

Nothing! My only suggestion would be umbrellas in the pool lounge area for those who prefer to be near the pool but in the shade.

We really liked the location. The hotel is not far from a nice beach and great restaurants. We also drove to a completely empty beach about 30 minutes away. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the conversations with the owner. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was big enough. The only issue we had was with the Wi-Fi between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.; after that, it was fine.

Impecable hotel boutique en Las Terrenas. A 5 minutos andando de bares y restaurantes, en un lugar muy tranquilo. Jaume y Montse, los propietarios, encantadores. Están pendientes en todo momento del huésped y de su bienestar, proponiendo excursiones y recomendando unos lugares magníficos. Desayuno delicioso, preparado por ellos en el momento. Habitaciones limpias y confortables, con todo lo necesario: camas grandes y cómodas, ducha interior y exterior, aire acondicionado y ventilador, cafetera de cápsulas... Las zonas comunes están cuidadas al detalle, y la piscina es un detalle que se agradece, después de los días de playa. Lo recomendaría sin dudar, y si tengo la suerte de volver, me alojaría en el mismo sitio. Muchas gracias por todo!

Non ho che belle parole per questo boutique hotel: struttura bellissima con giardino curatissimo, camera comoda e ben organizzata. Tutti i prodotti in stanza erano di prima qualità. Colazione super: prodotti eccellenti e buonissimi. I proprietari sono gentili, disponibili e sorridenti. Ottima posizione vicino al mare e ai ristoranti ma tranquilla e riservata. Dormire cullati dal rumore della natura è stato incredibile!

L’unica pecca è stato dover andare via!

La hospitalidad que recibimos por parte de Montse y Jaime fue espectacular, nos sentimos como en casa. La habitación es muy cómoda y todo el hotel tiene detalles muy especiales. El hotel está muy bien ubicado, cerca de la playa Punta Popy y de la zona de restaurantes y bares, pero a la vez está lejos del ruido y en un lugar tranquilo.

El hotel está bien ubicado y es acogedor. Los propietarios son muy amables y serviciales. Al llegar te obsequian con un cóctel de bienvenida muy bueno! El desayuno es completo y variado (puedes escoger entre diferentes opciones). La habitación dispone de aire condicionado y ventilador, aspecto que se agradece en verano. La cama también era cómoda. Además, proporcionan algunos snacks, agua, jugos y café gratuitamente.

La piscina tenia bastantes bichos cuando llegamos. Tuvimos algún percance con la ducha (agua fría) pero los propietarios y trabajadores estuvieron dispuestos a solucionarlo lo antes posible.

Muchas cosas, el tamaño de la cama, lo cómodo que era el colchón, lo cerca que estaba de la calle de bares y restaurantes, el desayuno, la tranquilidad y relax que se respira, lo amables y cercanos que son Jaume y Montse y las personas que trabajan con ellos…

Not enough jam

This property had great ratings and looked nice, but in person it exceeded my expectations. Although only a few years old, the lovely cottages feel like a throwback to an earlier era. The porch, the garden, the welcome drink...everything was so very peaceful. A short and easy walk to the beach and a bunch of restaurants. The hosts were charming. The small pool was the perfect place to float and watch the stars come out after sunset. Great breakfast. I was only there one night, but I loved that one night. Highly recommended.

- [ ] Nous avons passé 10 nuits dans cet hôtel pour un séjour de kitesurf à Las Terrenas et l’hôtel est juste fabuleux. Les chambres sont jolies et la literie de très bonne qualité. Le petit-déjeuner fait maison est excellent (salade de fruits, omelette, tartine avec confiture maison, pancake.. un régal!). Mais surtout, l’hôtel est à 400m de l’avenue principale, ce qui assure un calme absolu, loin des motos dominicaines très bruyantes. Enfin, les propriétaires et le personnel sont très attentionnés. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel.

With Jaume and Montse at Popy hotel we felt like home, in a super-cozy environment where we could experience a very comfortable and quite stay. Ideal place in the nature with all comfort and helpful owners who have arranged for us activities and transports. The way the hotel is managed, furnished and the whole atmosphere is absolutely the best we could find in Las Terrenas.

An excellent stay! Staff were nice, friendly and happy to help. Room size was great and very clean. Amazing breakfast and cocktail menu and dinner were out of this world! In fact we had dinner at the hotel and it was by far the best "pulpo a la gallega" We have ever tried! Thank you so much Jaume and Montse, we will be back!

Nice basic and clean room with a big double bed and an extra bed in very small mezzanine. A relaxing atmosphere in the garden and pool area. Breakfast was delicious. Owners are lovely. A plus point for me was that I could pay by credit card without paying an extravagant fee as in most Dominican hotels...if you can pay by card at all!

The mezzanine was tiny with no room to maneuver whatsoever. I was the unlucky one to sleep there and I hit my head multiple times. It is also a very hot spot in the room. Although there was a coffee machine in the room, there were no extra water bottles, except in the minibar for which you had to pay. The room is basic. There is no TV and in general the room, and especially the bathroom/shower, misses the quality finish. I find the price quite steep for what you get. But, at the moment, everything touristic is overpriced in the Dominican Republic.

Jaume and Montse make the best breakfast with fresh ingredients. It was delicious! They were fantastic hosts. The villas are located in a beautiful, tropical setting.
