We stayed here prior to our flight back home. The property has a great pool with great ocean views. Spacious family room. Friendly staff.

The staff was absolutely amazing—so charming and truly dedicated to great service. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh coconut water and delicious coconut cake, and later in the evening, they surprised us with complimentary ice cream. Breakfast by the pool overlooking the ocean was a perfect setting every morning. To top it off, our room was ideally positioned with a fabulous ocean view.

Because of the windy weather the restaurants menu was quite scarce so we opted for another place for our dinner.

We stay at the resort nerly one week and it was very relaxing, nice place directly by the sea, very helpful staff, the food was delicious, nice and clean swimming pool, just everything what we neede for our relax before our next journey.

We had a wonderful stay at Soluna Beach Hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and very attentive. Our room was lovely, with a stunning view of both the pool and the sea, which made our stay even more memorable. A special thank you to Suranga and Jeewan for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our visit. The hotel is also located in a peaceful area, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

Nous avons passé notre dernier nuit au Sri Lanka dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est aux petits soins et est adorable. Le cadre est magnifique avec la piscine vue mer et un délicieux petit déjeuner. Vous pouvez aller voir les pêcheurs remonter leurs filets sur la plage. Bref parfait !

Fantastic service, excellent staff and beautiful clean location

Besonders hat uns die Lage direkt am Meer, der große Pool und die Ruhe gefallen. Die beiden Angestellten war sehr liebenswürdig, hilfsbereit und haben uns alle Wünsche erfüllt. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, egal ob englisch oder einheimisch. Auch das von der Inhaberin zubereitete Abendessen war super, so dass ein Besuch des nahe liegenden Restaurants nicht unbedingt erforderlich war. Wir hatten auch die zur Verfügung stehenden Fahrräder für einen Ausflug in die kleine Stadt genutzt, da war ein besonders schönes Batikgeschäft.

Kleine Anlage mit 4 zimmer…das Personal ist sehr bemüht und hofiert dich regelrecht. Das Frühstück ist phänomenal und sehr sehr üppig. Am Abend warten sie bis man nach Hause kommt und bekommt noch ein kleines Betthupferl..Eis oder frische Früchte. Zum Abendessen kann ich uneingeschränkt das Restaurant O2 empfehlen…bestes Seafood ever

Wir waren 14 Nächte im Hotel und haben dort hauptsächlich gearbeitet, entsprechend viel Zeit haben wir vor Ort verbracht. Der Service war schlichtweg außergewöhnlich. Suranga war gefühlt rund um die Uhr für uns da – man geht um 1 Uhr nachts schlafen und am nächsten Morgen um 9 Uhr steht er schon wieder da und hat das Frühstück vorbereitet. Der Mann ist eine absolute Legende und hätte eigentlich dringend mal einen freien Abend verdient. Immer freundlich, immer aufmerksam, immer da – so einen Service erlebt man wirklich selten. Auch Rodney, der Manager, ist einfach großartig. Er hat für uns spontan einen Kurztrip organisiert, von der ersten Idee bis zur kompletten Umsetzung – inklusive Sonderpreisen, obwohl der Trip rund 200 Kilometer vom Hotel entfernt war. Man hatte ehrlich gesagt das Gefühl, Rodney kennt einfach jeden auf der Insel.

Wenn man unbedingt etwas nennen möchte: Das Internet ist nicht immer ideal zum Arbeiten. Für einen normalen Urlaub ist das allerdings vollkommen irrelevant – und angesichts dieses unglaublichen Services fällt es wirklich kaum ins Gewicht.

Sehr schöne kleine Anlage, mit schönen großen hohen Zimmern. Unseres, das einzige mit Mehrblick war super! Erwähnenswert auch der super Pool, den man meistens für sich alleine hatte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück und das Mittagessen und Abendessen ist sehr gut!

Es gibt in der Anlage 3 Hunde, die sehr freundlich sind, aber sich in der Nacht wohl an ihre Abstammung (Wolf) erinnern und dann mit den Strandhunden im Wettbewerb heulen. Dann noch die Aktivitäten der Fischer, die mit ihren Traktoren jeden Tag, außer Sonntags die Netze mit ihren Winden vorm Hotel einholten. Ist scheinbar nur von Januar bis April so.

Personeel erg vriendelijk, deed alles voor je. Eten was goed.

Niet hygiënisch (zwembad, kranen badkamer). Zit veel potentie in deze accomodatie maar voelde nog niet als af, wij kregen de indruk van een verlaten resort. En prijs kwaliteit verhouding vonden wij echt niet goed (komt ook nog 10% service charge op).

Frühstück war super lecker.

The beautiful uninterrupted view of the ocean. It was quiet and made us feel like we were the only people on the planet. Our ocean facing room gave us the perfect view.

Nit picking but I will mention some tired aspects such as sticking door, non-operational spa jets, shower diverter not working.

The staff is so friendly. They brought swimming toys and treats for the children. Food was also very good.

We loved SOLUNA so much!! We felt taken care of from the minute we got there till the minute we left, our room was amazing, and after riding our bikes 35 km up the coast, we can honestly say that it’s the nicest hotel from Negombo to the end of our ride. Stay here!! Another big bonus: I had a bad cold and the owner made sure I get medicine which worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!

Vanaf het moment dat je hier binnen loopt wordt je heerlijk verzorgd en ontzorgd. Ze hebben een heerlijk zwembad en je kan makkelijk de zee in. We waren hier 1 dag maar zijn heerlijk tot rust gekomen. Zeker aan te raden om even lekker te chillen!

Der krönende Abschluss unserer Srilanka-Rundreise waren die letzten 4 Tage in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft. Wir bewohnten ein geräumiges und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer und Badezimmer Die hohen Fensterfronten mit großem Balkon ermöglichte uns einen atemberaubenden Blick in den Garten mit tollem Pool, hohen Kokospalmen und wunderbaren Sonnenuntergängen. Zu dieser echt tollen Unterkunft kam ein sehr gutes Service-Team. Der sehr hilfsbereite und aufmerksame Manager hat für uns den Aufenthalt hier mit einer Tour nach Colombo, mit Nachtblick auf den Lotus-Tower, einem Besuch einer traditionellen Stoffbatik- Manufaktur in Marawila, und der Organisation einer professionellen Ayurveda Masage mit Dampfbad unvergesslich gemacht. Mit den hauseigenen Fahrädern Fahrädern (kostenlosen) haben wir eine eindrucksvolle Tour durch die Fischerstraße von Maravilla unternommen. Es gibt die Möglichkeit jeden Tag, mit Yogalehrer, Yoga zu praktizieren. Auf Wunsch wird auch Yogatherapie (Pancha-Karma) angeboten, doch dazu war unser Aufenthalt leider zu kurz. Zum Frühstück haben uns für das traditionelle Frühstück entschieden. Es war köstlich und sehr abwechslungsreich mit frischen Fruchtsäften und Früchten. Auf Wunsch gibt es auch europäisches Frühstück. Auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker und wird auf Wunsch den Bedürfnissen angepasst. Alle Mahlzeiten haben wir unter freiem Himmel mit Blick aufs Meer eingenommen und das Service-Team freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Die Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft war fantastisch, wir wurden herzlich empfangen und zuvorkommend verwöhnt. Wunderschöne Poolanlage, ein grosszügiges Zimmer im 1. Stock Nr. 202 mit tollem Meer-/Ausblick. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und für Ruhesuchende ist dieser Ort ideal.

Mooie kamers, zeer vriendelijk personeel die het ons echt naar de zin wilden maken. Heerlijk ontbijt met veel fruit. Droogrek voor alle natte spullen was handig. En ook konden wij adapters, weegapparaatje en markeerstift lenen.

Mooie ruime kamer. Het was laagseizoen dus waren we alleen in het complex. De gastheren stonden direct voor ons klaar. Het eten was heerlijk en met liefde bereid.

Het was erg stil maar dat hoort bij laagseizoen.

Die Gastfreundschaft und der Aufwand, welcher für uns betrieben wurde. Der Manager Rodney war sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar.

Zum Einstieg in unseren Urlaub war es sehr schön. Da wir außerhalb der Urlaubssaison den Aufenthalt dort verbracht haben war der Strand nicht ganz so gepflegt.

If you are planning for a proper leisure trip when you want to forget outer world, this is the best location, since we didnt find any restaurant nearby. I must highlight the name of a person: Idura... A passionate & dedicated peraon. He will do his best to make the guest satisfied.

Washroom amenities are not functional. The resort is not properly maintained, hence gradually many amenities are getting out of order. On top of that, visiting this resort during off season is a bad choice. I felt my room haunted and immediately had to change my plan from 2 to 1 night stay.

Staff was great, greeting us with a welcome drink and saying goodbye with one as well. They were friendly and always with a smile. They also agreed to an extended checkout which we requested, without extra payment. Pool is very clean and properly maintained. Room is huge, with a proper bed and rainshower. WiFi is fast.

Lunch and dinner options are only few, and quite expensive. Ordering drinks and food can take a little while. There's a massive amount of crows in the yard, which can make a lot of noise at times. Same applies to a lot of places in sri lanka.

The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The food and quality of cooking were of a very high standard although maybe a touch pricey when compared to restaurants nearby.

Location was quite remote. We had a rental car so it was not an issue but not much exploring to be done without transport. On the other hand if you are after a quiet and away from it all location then this was/is perfect.

We had a fantastic 4-day stay at Soluna Beach Resort! This place is perfect for families, and the staff goes the extra mile to ensure comfort. Our kids loved the pool, especially with the inflatable toys provided. The resort also treated us with free afternoon snacks and complimentary bottled water every day. The attention to detail and family-friendly atmosphere made it a memorable stay. We highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing beach getaway! The even let us stay in the room for free until the evening before our flight.

Absolutely a great place. The hotel is placed very close to the beach with a lot of calm. The owner and staff is very friendly and serviceminded. The rooms are large and luxurious. The food is very delicious. This is a must visit place for calm and self indulgence.

We stayed there for New Years and it was a perfect choice. Great location, quiet beach, delicious food, extremely spacious and stylish rooms, and, of course, outstanding staff! Thank you for our wonderful stay :)

The staff are Soluna truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everyone was so attentive and friendly, like we havent seen in 3 weeks of our vacation. The room we stayed in was seriously huge and beautifully decorated with a nice view towards the pool and ocean. The pool itself is well maintained and big enough to really swim for a while. Would definitely come again and would recommend everyone to visit Soluna for a relaxed start or end to your Sri Lanka vacation!

EVERYTHING ! The room, the resort, the location, the pool & most of all the amazing hospitality of the staff. They treat you like family. The owner Rodney was absolutely incredible and all staff go above and beyond. We have been travelling for 2 weeks in Sri Lanka so far and stayed in many places but this one topped everything.

The cabana is spacious and clean. We were presented with a welcome drink and great hospitality even though we were very late in arriving due to a missed connection. Room was spacious for a family with 2 teenage children.

A bit out of the at but suited us as we were headed north the next day. May not suit those who want access to shops and places to eat.

No restaurant on the site but the very nice guy served us well. The restaurant next door had delicious scrimps.

the property was super dirty, smelled of mouldy, there were no towels ( we had to ask) there was no running water in any of the rooms! Overall very very poor

We had a very pleasant stay at Soluna Beach Resort. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our time there. We loved lazying in the pool to recharge our batteries for a few days before flying back home. Good option to end a tour of Srilanka.

There were a few hiccups, mainly due to force majeure, but overall they were handled smoothly. Not many amenities nearby

Very nice and quiet spot at the clean, beautiful shore. Very nice garden with large pool. We enjoyed watching the fishermen at work all day long. Excellent food and very nice staff.

Our room was on the ground floor with very large windows. So, everybody could look into it and one had to close all curtains whenever in the room.

The location was fantastic right on the beach which is sandy and ok for swimming but is really the domain of the fishing community who work tirelessly to bring in their haul each day. Really interesting to watch them and admire their catch. The beach is totally undeveloped for tourists but the hotel pool is great and we were well looked after. Lovely breakfasts and fresh fish evening meals. This hotel is better than the descriptions we have seen and excellent value for money.

As long as you want peace and quiet this place is great. There isn’t much going on in the vicinity!

Very nice room and staff. The room and gardens were very nice. The staff made sure we had plenty of water and coffee and tea.

The water coming out of the faucets and shower was salt water, which was off putting We order lunch and dinner and the quality was average. Meals are cooked at a nearby restaurant. At lunch, our fish which we shared was not fully cooked, and we had to send it back. Dinner was slightly above average. Breakfasts are made on site I think and were very nice.

The food was excellent at all meals and the location magnificent -- right on the beach with a beautiful pool. Pathun was extremely helpful and recommended a restaurant to us (Kopi Kade) which was a wonderful experience. The room was glorioius -- huge and beautiful and comfortable, but, as we booked at the last minute and it was the only room left, it was the one without a view. No big deal. Dining al fresco under the coconut palms was a a highlight,

Great hotel with great service. The room was clean and we had big balcony. Nice view to see and really good atmosphere.

All the staff were amazing, Pathun looked after us mainly but everyone deserves a mention. Food served on site was lovely just ask for what you like and the guys will accommodate you. Make sure to spend a bit of time on the beach to see how the local fishermen go about bringing in their catches.

This place is stunning. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom had so many extras that we were not expecting, like a small toothbrush for our daughter. The employees were very friendly, polite, and very welcoming. They treated our little girl like a Princess. The pool, especially during the sunset, was stunning and well maintained. We ate the sri lankan breakfast and it was super delicious. The dinner was great too. The pick up from the airport and transfer to the next hotel went smoothly as well. This was truly the perfect start to our holiday.

Really good service, staff is really nice and wanted to help you any time. Pool was clean and we got a lot of free services like upgraded room, free tea and coconut drink. The food in the hotel was really good, also breakfast was a lot. If it’s not on the menu, they are willing to make it for you anyways. There is also a dessert including the meal.

The beach was not really for a swim, due to all the fishermen. Room was a little bit noisy, in the evening there was some loud music from the neighborhood.

We liked the food options: huge breakfast (english or local) and great option for lunch and dinner, massage, the amazing view, the very good staff and our drivers. Moreover, we loved the honest help from the owner and his availability via whatsapp. The wifi is also working very well. When laying at the pool you can order milkshake, sodas etc... People are always happy to help. We were able to do with the help of the hotel in 4 days: - A safari in Wilpattu National Park - Visit of Pidurangala and Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Golden Temple - Kandy, Elephant Orphanage and a Tea Factory - Colombo Each day we had a driver for the full day who helped us. The hotel made a breakfast to take away every time we had to wake up early. I felt like my friends were welcoming me in their country by making our stay the most easy.

The noise at night time because there is a bar/restaurant near to the hotel and room are not correctly soundproof. The pool contains bugs in the corners as well as a lot of crows during the day - it doesn't stop us from having fun staying at the pool a full day. The beach is nice with an amazing sunset, too bad we saw a lot of garbage on it...

Nice complimentary for incomers. Really big bed, bigger than I've seen elsewhere. Two types of breakfast: english and local. The first one is a typical but it's still okay. The local one unfortunately was too spicy for us, but that's a good experience. The portion was quite large. Good swimming pool. The hotel area looks good as well. The property offered scooter rent.

We were the only people living there and it led to the fact the staff were too obsessive, they tried to treat us 24/7. I don't like the shower at all. There is no partition or slide and because of it water spreads on the bathroom's floor. I don't know if it's a regional or the property problem, but tap water has a salt smack. Too far from civilization, you have to rent a scooter to have lunch.

We really liked this hotel a lot. first and most important I would like to mention the friendliness of the staff and manager who were always very helpful and caring - really great! The hotel is located directly at the beach, allowing to see great sunsets. Everything is very clean. The location is very nice at a beach with lots of palm trees. The hotel offers a tuk-tuk in case you want to go somewhere else.

There are not too many eating opportunities directly around the hotel, but you can have food at the hotel.
