The pool looked dirty around the outside, the outside area from our room only had one chair and no table. No privacy at all. The breakfast area is too crowded. When there are tour buses they should park at the back instead of taking guest parking in the front. My least favourite thing is how there is a very strong perfume scent in the lobby. Way too much - I felt ill

J'ai regretté le choix de la chambre.Les photos et le texte du site prêtent à confusion : à savoir la chambre standard qui n'a pas de terrasse et qui donne sur une cour intérieure..C'est particulièrement sombre et la salle d'eau vraiment dédiée à une personne en fauteuil roulant.Il aurait fallu choisir une mini chambre standard pour avoir une terrasse et une vue sur la piscine.Il faudrait le préciser dans le descriptif.Une remarque (ce n'est pas une critique) ,il y a une grande fréquentation de clients des USA.. S'attendre à devoir communiquer en anglais.Le français n'est pas du tout parlé sur l'île.b

We got a free upgrade when we arrived and got the family room with two balconies and large bedroom. Check-out is standard at 12.00 O’clock.

Really overpriced. We paid over €400,- for one night, but what you get in return us definitely not worth that much money (even with the free room upgrade). The spa facilities are really small. The steam cabin and sauna are just for two people at a time.

Der Garten, Pool, sowie der Wellnessbereich inkl. Pilates. Die Lage ist super. Von der Terrasse oben hat ma einen schönen Ausblick.

Schallisolierung ist bei 0. wir haben Nachbarn gehabt, die etwas feiern wollten und haben jede Bewegung im anderen Zimmer mitbekommen. Das Zimmer war schon sehr einfach eingerichtet. Für diesen Preis erwartet man etwas mehr als einen Vorhang anstatt dem Kleiderschrank.

We stayed in one of the detached huts and absolutely loved it. The landscaping was exceptionally well done, creating the feeling of being immersed in a rainforest when looking out from the terrace and main window. The vegetation also provided excellent privacy between the individual huts. The entire property felt peaceful, natural, and very relaxing. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay—always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything we needed, whether it was extra water for a hike, lending an umbrella, or answering questions about the island. Their hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for.

I visited Senhora da Rosa several times during my stay in São Miguel to enjoy both the restaurant and the spa, and I was genuinely impressed. Although I was not a hotel guest, I was made to feel very welcome from the beginning. Filipa helped coordinate my restaurant reservations and spa appointments, which made everything easy and stress-free. The spa was a lovely place to relax. I particularly enjoyed the treatments and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. I also had dinner at the restaurant on several occasions. The food was consistently excellent, with fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and attentive service. Every meal was enjoyable, and there was clear attention to detail from both the kitchen and service teams. What I appreciated most was the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I met. The team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me look forward to returning each evening. I would happily recommend Senhora da Rosa to anyone visiting the Azores and hope to stay at the property on a future visit.

Can’t think of anything.

It was a beautifully appointed hotel that felt luxurious. It also had a sustainable ethos. Breakfast was very good. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. We were sorry not to have used moreof the facilities.

The rooms felt rather humid and had a musty smell at times. We needed to use A/C to combat this.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Senhora da Rosa in Ponta Delgada. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by the entire staff. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. We appreciated every aspect of our stay: the comfortable room, the excellent breakfast, the relaxing atmosphere, and the high level of professionalism shown by all the employees. Every detail was carefully managed, making our experience truly enjoyable. A special thank you to the team for their kindness, hospitality, and attention to guests. L’hôtel est magnifique et entouré de verdure. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Tout est parfait.

La literie dans les suite cabane est à améliorer

La déco alliant l’ancien et le moderne est très réussie et donne un ensemble cosy , confortable et chaleureux. Le personnel de la réception est très attentionné, merci ! Le choix personnalisé de son type oreiller selon ses besoins est très appréciable et les lits sont très confortables. La présentation recherchée du petit déjeuner et les produits sont exceptionnels ! Enfin du bon café dans un hôtel ! Nous avons mangé 2 fois au bar de l’hôtel: c’est bon et les prix sont raisonnables( 85€ pour 4 boisson et plat ) . L’hôtel est à moins de 15 min de l’aéroport dans une partie de la ville avec des serres et des jardins partout !

Nous sommes déçus d’avoir du payer la location du terrain pour le tennis padel . Le lieu n’étant pas à la hauteur du reste de l’établissement au niveau de ses aménagements . Le bassin du bain chaud dans la serre à ananas manque de finitions : les parois en béton brut laissant par endroits apparaître la fibre de verre laissent un goût d’inachevé. Les marches sont trop hautes pour entrer et sortir du bain . On a l’impression de se baigner dans un bassin qui n’est pas prévu à cet usage . Il y a de la mousse partout sur les pavés autour c’est glissant . Le concept est une excellente bonne idée mais manque selon moi d’être abouti .

Loved the breakfast and the lovely ladies at breakfast. The pineapple hot tub was amazing and great after a long day of hiking! Food in Magma restaurant was delicious as well. The bar staff were really friendly too with great drinks on offer and pool table.

It would have been nice to be able to go to the Asian restaurant for a drink but you could only go up there with a dinner reservation.

The only slight thing is the bed is a little hard for my taste but did not prevent great sleep. In fact the staff even changed out the pillows to make my stay even better.

Établissement exceptionnel. Très bien placé. Décoration magnifique. Calme. Personnel remarquablement attentionné. Le jour de notre départ: nous sommes partis très tôt : ils ont eu la gentillesse d’offrir un petit cadeau d’anniversaire à mon mari.

Desde o primeiro momento fomos recebidos com enorme simpatia, profissionalismo e atenção por parte de toda a equipa — receção, limpeza e restaurantes. O ambiente do hotel é igualmente muito tranquilo, proporcionando uma estadia relaxante e confortável. O que realmente distingue este hotel são os pequenos grandes detalhes: por termos atividades cedo, prepararam-nos o pequeno-almoço antes da abertura oficial do restaurante, algo que demonstra um cuidado genuíno com os hóspedes. No quarto nunca faltou atenção aos pormenores, como a garrafa de água sempre disponível, e ainda fomos surpreendidos com uma oferta especial à chegada para assinalar uma data importante para nós. Gestos assim fazem toda a diferença e mostram um nível de serviço verdadeiramente acima da média. Uma experiência memorável que recomendamos sem qualquer hesitação. Voltaremos com todo o gosto. O único problema deste hotel, será a dificuldade em fazer reservas, se continuarem com este nível de excelência.

The plunge pool in the green house was lovely as was the garden and rooms with an outdoor place to sit.

A bit too far from Ponta Delgada if you haven’t got a rental car. But this also makes it peaceful and quiet.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and the quality remained consistently high. The room was clean and comfortable, all the staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the stay very enjoyable. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others

Quizás la ubicación es el único pequeño aspecto que podría ser mejor. Porque no queda cerca del centro a pié, pero hemos podido aparcar cada día dentro del hotel e igualmente hay que ir con el coche a todas partes en la isla.

It is a lovely, local hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious. It is very reasonable, quiet and offers two dine-in restaurants. The Magna offers more traditional Portugese fare (and as a vegetarian I couldn't sample this sadly) and the Mirante Rooftop Bar is an exceptional Japanese/Fusion restaurant that I cannot speak highly enough about! It was amazing and catered to my vegetarian tastes perfectly... One can enjoy a lovely spa experience in a separate building, and also the gym and hotel's pool in a lovely setting. Certainly not your big chain hotel model being followed here. Much more quaint, scenic and relaxing. I recommend it highly.

The staff was really friendly and nice and very welcoming. The place is close enough to Ponta Delgada to be in short distance, but enough away from the airport to no longer hear the arriving planes.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und beim Frühstück hat es alles was das Herz begehrt. Das Highlight ist natürlich die hauseigene Ananasplantage mit dem Pool darin. Wenn ich wieder nach Sao Miguel gehen dann definitiv in diese Hotel!!!

Sehr staubig im Zimmer, bis spät in die Nacht (eventuell auch durchgehend) Musik am Gang, ab der Nebensaison ist das Frühstück eine Stunde später wurde aber nicht kommuniziert

Quality of food was excellent. Breakfast was good quality. Staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. Good quality feel to the hotel. My friend tried the wellness facilities in the hotel and said they were good.

Hotel was situated a long way out of Ponta Delgado. I knew it was slightly out of town when booking but there it is a good 45-60 mins walk into town from the hotel. I would recommend driving. Breakfast was good but was exactly the same each day of my 7 day stay. It would have been nice to have had some more variety.

Leckeres Frühstück, was für Vegetarier geeignet ist / super freundliches Personal / schöne Zimmer mit bequemen Betten und Ruhe / schöne Außenanlage, tolle Pools und Saunabereich / nicht ganz zentral, aber trotzdem gut erreichbar und ruhig gelegen / Klare Empfehlung, wenn man früh bucht und somit noch etwas Geld spart

Wenn man auf hohem Niveau meckern möchte, könnte man erwähnen dass die Outdoor-Liegen nicht so sauber waren, was aber daran liegt, dass es durchgehend dem Regen ausgesetzt ist und deshalb langsamer trocknet

La amabilidad del personal, la disposición a ayudar en todo lo necesario. También me pareció una decoración muy bien cuidada, lugar acogedor y tranquilo. Se portaron muy bien con nosotros, nos esperaban todas las noches detalles en la habitación. En el restaurante de sushi de la planta alta se come muy bien y las vistas son preciosas. Merece muchísimo la pena.

En las inmediaciones del hotel y en su parking hay muchas cucarachas, también en las terrazas de las habitaciones que dan al jardín. Cuando llegamos, en la habitación, había un cartel que informaba de que "en el campo hay bichos", con dibujos de mariposas, saltamontes, polillas, escarabajos... pero yo lo único que vi fueron cucarachas, la cantidad suficiente para que lo deje por escrito.

Modern but also cosy hotel, very nice staff, rooms very clean, huge breakfast offers (don’t know why some were complaining). Wifi sometimes not stable, but got a repeater frpm the reception and it worked really well. Excursions with your car easy to make in all directions. Hotel not easy to find, you definitely need navigation. Very narrow streets. Huge garden and nice pool area. Can only recommend.

Our stay at Senhora da Rosa was wonderful from start to finish. The hotel has a beautiful garden and plenty of outdoor space that really connects you with the nature of the Azores. While some of the facilities show a bit of age, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. The staff were fantastic—everyone from the front desk to the cleaning team and restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to, which made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable—perfect after a long day exploring the island. Having a patio was a real bonus, especially for enjoying the clear night skies. The spa area was calm and relaxing, with access to the steam room and sauna for all guests. The pineapple hot tub was a unique and fun highlight of our stay. Breakfast was delicious. The variety isn’t huge, but everything was fresh and flavourful, especially the local pineapples. Overall, a truly memorable stay. We’d happily recommend Senhora da Rosa to anyone visiting the island.

We had an extraordinary stay at Senhora da Rosa, Tradition & Nature Hotel. As a family of five who has traveled to destinations like Bora Bora, Paris, and Costa Rica, we can confidently say this was one of the most pampering and comfortable experiences we’ve ever had. The family suite was a dream :complete with bunk beds (each with its own TV), a cozy teepee tent, and child-sized bathrobes that were the cherry on top. It gave our children a magical space of their own while still keeping everything luxurious and effortless for us. The hotel itself felt like pure indulgence, with unique design elements that sparked my inner artist, while keeping our kids engaged with the pool, kids’ club, and thoughtful details. To our delight, the staff even surprised our daughter with a birthday cake, making her feel so special and creating a memory we’ll always treasure. From pizza dinners on the terrace to evenings playing chess in the lounge, every moment was intimate, unique, and picture-perfect: an ideal complement to the natural beauty and relaxed vibe of São Miguel. The service was impeccable as well: the staff went above and beyond, preparing an early breakfast for our 7 a.m. flight and ensuring we had everything we needed for the next day. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and are already looking forward to returning The sharma family

This hotel was just ok, and we didn’t find anything impressive about it. The rooms, the breakfast, the service, cleanliness, location, all were mediocre. We had very high expectations looking at the photos they have posted but it’s just a regular hotel with a nice garden.

In short, the stay was amazing and very highly recommended. To break down some highlights: - Super clean and well kept. The rooms were spotless on arrival and every day after. - The staff was very friendly and polite. - The food of the restaurant for all meals was excellent. The buffet breakfast was extremely varied, with very fresh fruits and baked goods. - Parking was super easy, and they had enough for the days the hotel was busy. - Bonus: if you had a toddler, the cleaning staff would leave homemade surprises (I.e. a bumblebee made with toilet rolls and two eyes) for them on their bed and crib. Our child loved them, and we took them home. Would come again. Thanks to the staff for such a memorable stay.
