Super vriendelijke ontvangst, heerlijk eten, prachtige kasbah.

Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern. Etwas außerhalb aber gut zu finden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und großzügig.
Prachtig uitzicht vanop een zalig terras. Heerlijk ontbijt, en avondeten. Prima bedden, zachte dekens.
Mooie authentiek huis
Uitzicht en was comfortabel
Tutto perfetto
Mustapha is a great host and we immediately felt welcome. The room is very nice, clean and spacious. It is a quite place with view and real maroccan atmosphere. Diner and breakfast were rich and very tasty. The tip about visiting Aouli was really worth it. Thanks again

Welcome was great, we could have dinner even if it was already 9pm. Great service and experience
All was perfect

On s’y sent bien.

Amazing host, friendly & welcoming. Fabulous comfort, warm and really homely. The food was delicious, home cooked and so fresh. Everything runs on solar, and the host told us to wait for the hot water to come thru the pipes: it soon came and it was superb!! We felt very privileged to be part of this lovely family and it was a special place.
Nothing. Top rated and deserves top score.
Guter Tipp vom Herbergsvater: Alte Mine von Aouli anschauen.
Tutto magnifico esperienza local 100%
Nulla tutto perfetto
heerlijk ontvangst, vriendelijke staff lekker eten fantastisch uitzicht
Tout.
Rien.
This is a stunning Berber home built by the owner. The family lives here in separate quarters with a large shared area. Every detail is amazing and the views are fantastic. It was cold when we arrived and our room needed to be warmed with a propane heater but we had numerous blankets and had a cozy night. We also had dinner as the kazbah is a bit out of town on a gravel road. Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed our visit with Mohamed with conversations about world events and his experiences building the home
It is the most beautiful traditional Berber house we have stayed in Morocco. We loved the serene surroundings of apple orchards. The host is an amazingly warm, welcoming & thoughtful person. He has named the rooms after personalities of people who have made a difference to the world. The host & his family cooked us very delicious meals too.
Rien !
The best thing about the property was that it was out of town and was surrounded by an apple orchard. I liked that.
There was a dog tied up just outside our rooms. It barked frequently through out the night. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. There is no a/c or fan and it was hot.
It was like staying at a great friend's home.
Moustafa made us feel at home and made our stay very special.
Everything was great!
N/A
Unlike many other accommodations in the area, this one is not located on a major road. That alone is a huge plus point. We stayed at Mustafa and his family's home and felt very welcome. The family is incredibly friendly and hospitable. Everything is extremely clean. The meals are more than generous, exceptionally good and reasonably priced. All in all, we were incredibly positively surprised and can only recommend a stop here to anyone.
This is a family run kasbah and the hosts were very friendly and warm. The kasbah itself is very nicely decorated and big and has a great view on the surroundings. The rooms are basic but big. The food was abundant and very tasty.
The room was cold and we had to use a portable gas stove to warm it up
Tge owner and his family were very friendly and helpful, and they made us feel at home. The dinner was excellent, as was the breakfast. The view of the mountains from the garden is gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful place to stay! The host, Mustafa, was warm and welcoming and made sure we were happy and comfortable. We had both dinner and breakfast there and the food was delicious. The view is amazing there.
Mustapha and his family were wonderfully generous, helpful and informative. They prepared a wonderful dinner, allowing us to relax at their house and enjoy the view of the local country-side and the distant, towering Atlas Mountains. Mustapha is easy going, engaging and erudite, and most interesting to talk to. The literary and social/cultural references throughout Kasbah Izoran suggest a welcoming, broad acceptance of cultures and views, and great pride in the Berber culture. I highly recommend staying at Kasbah Izoran.
Beautiful experience to stay in a guest home so close to the family. They were incredibly welcoming. Although it was freezing, they tried to make us warm with some heaters and thick blankets, which we very much appreciated. The meal was delicious. Good advice on a local hike to the canyon.
Nothing to complain. I would just recommend to bring some snacks / water for your own backup, as we timed our arrival incorrectly (our own fault) and were a little stuck as it’s very remote.
A very kind and humble host, cozy and clean rooms with heating, good food. We would definitely book again (and maybe stay more than one night to also explore the region of Midelt)
There is just one minor point we would mention: a shower curtain would be good to prevent the bathroom from getting wet
We enjoyed our overnight stay at Kasbah Izoran in Midelt. The owner was welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with vegetarian options available. Ample parking space available for anyone driving with their own car. Payment was straightforward, with cash accepted (including US dollars). Overall, Kasbah Izoran is a solid choice for those seeking an authentic, family-run kasbah experience in Midelt.
Property owner makes sure everything flows. This is an authentic berber decorated home giving you a glimpse of how the local community interacts within a home. The owner is very knowledgable of berber culture and proud to share his knowledge with you. I wish I had more time to interact with him. The family is caring for you while you stay. It is a safe and clean place to stay for one night while on transit in between Fes and Merzouga. The property has a commanding position with amazing views of the mountains that surround the valley.
I don’t have anything negative to indicate about this property. Be mindful of how isolated Midelt is from the nearest city. They use solar panels to heat up water, make sure to bath when you arrive if you need hot water. When arriving, you will drive through a dirt road path. I arrived late at night which made it a bit unexpected and dark, but be assure you are on a safe place.
very beautiful home that was built by Mustafa himself - so many handmade details and lot‘s of love inside those walls! we definitely recommend staying at Kasbah Izoran and visit Midelt - it is a beautiful small city and the nature / landscape around is incredible!
We had a wonderful stay at Kasbah Izoran! The proprietor and his family were very welcoming and kind. The proprietor turned out to be a very interesting and knowledgeable person, and one of the other guests (a historian) and I chatted with him for quite a while after a lovely dinner. The setting of the place is beautiful.
It’s in a beautiful setting just outside Midelt. Host was kind to provide dinner after a long day.
Extremely hospitable, perfect location to break up a drive between Merzouga and Fes.
Wfi could be stronger.
A very simple but comfortable accommodation, a bit removed from Midelt, but with a spectacular setting above the apple orchards and looking out on the mountains. It was like staying in someone's home.
We had a very small room, probably their smallest. As such, a double bed is all that fit, with a minuscule bathroom with the shower almost over the toilet (no separation). Other rooms are better.
Family operated Eco Lodge. Wonderful hosts and they served us a beautiful home cooked evening meal of organic home grown produce. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely outdoor sitting area to enjoy the view.
We enjoyed our stay.
If you are traveling through Midelt, you have to stay at Kasbah Izoran. What a beautiful experience. It is nestled up on a hillside, far away from the hustle and bustle. Such peace and serenity. And this is just talking about the location. The owners are absolutely wonderful. Mustafa is incredibly smart and interesting to talk to. He is a kind and humble man, with good values and a good soul. We ate wonderful home cooked food out on the terrace with the beautiful view and sounds of nature. Thank you so much for the hospitality, we truly appreciate you for opening up your beautiful home to us.
Ein Traum
This was our favorite place to stay in our whole trip! The tranquil spot of this kasbah will delight you - huge orchards, a garden, canyone view. You'll enter and notice each detail is carefully thought out. The owner built the place himself. Make sure you take time to chat with Mustafah and his family as you will learn a lot about the area, farming, etc. We enjoyed homemade breakfast and dinner including local vegetables and meats. We also woke up early and walked the canyon in the morning. Simply a wonderful place to stay and a place we will always remember from our trip.
Beautifully designed and constructed using traditional methods. Welcoming host and family.
The access road was dirt rather than tarmac, but can be travelled in a regular car or van with care.
The owner built the house himself. He was very welcoming, super interesting to talk to as is both well read and well travelled. You stay in a traditional Berber home with the family with meals served on site. Currently they are busy constructing a large restaurant next to the house which has stunning views! An ideal wedding reception venue!
There was nothing not to like. The rooms are basic, but comfortable.
Home from home, great host, very welcoming. Dinner excellent
Great location and very friendly and helpful
The setting is very beautiful, with gardens, a lovely view of green mountains and a whole lot of cats. The dinner was nice, and it's served in a room with seating around the edges so that everyone faces the middle and ends up talking. That was very nice. The owner is a very chatty guy who speaks many languages fluently, so he gets everyone talking.
We chose this hotel as a place to stop to break up the long drive from Merzouga to Fes, as I believe many others do. It's a few kilometers off the main road, and the last bit is unpaved. It was fine, as we weren't in a hurry, but if you were looking for somewhere to arrive late or leave super early, it may not be your best choice. We were travelling with five people and always easily managed to make "family rooms" intended for four at other hotels work for us, but in this case, the room really is best suited to four people. We squeezed our youngest child (10) into the big bed with us, but I wouldn't recommend it to future readers with three children, as the bed is quite small.
Very friendly owner who gave me lots of information about the area. Very peaceful and quiet location on the side of a hill with mountain views. A lovely building. Had a great time meeting other guests.
The access road is a bit bumpy and its expensive compared to similar properties.
I liked everything about this place. The room, the people especially and the whole ambience were amazing
There is nothing about this place I do not like.
Wonderful and peaceful structure just 10 minutes of car outside of Midelt. The host Mustafa was super nice and kind, ready to help us in every way possible. We were also able to talk with him and learn a Little bit more about Morocco and its History while dining. The room was spacious and clean, the whole structure was built by Mustafa in recent years and has a very traditional touch. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, made with local products grown by the host and his family. We only stayed one night but everything was great and our stay really made us relax and recover energies to continue our trip in Morocco!
Great host!
Nice stay. Very good dinner and breakfast.
Amazing host, we had dinner at his place for a very fair price (it was delicious). He gave great tips for hiking nearby. We felt very welcomed and will come back next time in Marokko.
Nothing
We are spending a month touring Morocco. The Casbah Izoran is the best place we have stayed so far! A wonderful friendly and helpful host! Beautiful room nicely furnished, a comfortable sitting area, and lovely dining room. The location is amazing, perched on a hilltop, with great views. And breakfast and dinner were excellent. We totally recommend!!
