Heerlijk kleinschalige locatie met mooie kunst in bijzonder gebouw. Lopend kun je zo Elche in. Heerlijk zwembad met ligstoelen. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst en ontbijtplank met mijn keuzes was heerlijk. Je kunt zelf koffie/thee/water halen. Goede parkeerruimte achter het gebouw en achter de poort. Kamer met balkon.

Kamer wat gehorig, als andere deuren in het slot vallen. Verders alles prima.

Hotel Hort de Nal is situated a 5 min walk from the old town. Set in beautiful grounds, it was the perfect base for our short break. The property is stunning with an interesting history, beautiful decor and a lovely pool area, which was always very quiet. It’s adults only, so was extremely peaceful. We booked the the Oribel Suite, which at 95sqm was extremely spacious. It really did feel like a home from home. The staff were lovely and very helpful, responding promptly to any requests. When poolside you can simply WhatsApp the team to ask for drinks or snacks to be delivered to you. We ordered breakfast every morning, which came on a huge wooden platter. For bread, croissant, eggs and bacon or sausage, water and juice the cost was 18 euros each. Coffee is free from the machine 24 hours/day. We dined in once, and enjoyed a 3 course meal - it felt like having a private chef! It’s perfect for couples, and highly recommended.

My partner Ian and I stayed at the Hotel Hort de Nal from 27th-30th July whilst he was visiting his disabled sister in Elche Hospital. On the website the rooms look amazing and the expensive price reflects the photos, but sadly that was not the case in real time. Upon entering the hotel it looks amazing, like a work of art, everywhere there is art and quirky items so many interesting things to look at each day. There is a security gate and car entrance, a free car park plus everything is key coded, so very safe. It is within walking distance of only 10-15 mins of the main town which is positive. The hotel itself does not have air conditioning and our room was like a sauna when we got there at 8.30pm, there were no instructions on how to work the aircon, we had to get reception to sort it out whilst we went out for dinner. We had to ask for water to be put in the room, there was no fridge in the room, the next day we also had to ask for pool towels. the bath was old and slightly damaged plus the water was sooooo hot it takes about 7-8 mins adjusting the hot and cold water to avoid third degree burns!! There is a beautiful restaurant but no kitchen staff nor no menu therefore it is a total waste of space and there is no bar, just a fridge of very expensive drinks - an 'honesty' fridge, 10 euro for a miniature gin! You can only get a continental breakfast and any other food if pre-booked the day before, this we felt was a terrible waste as the hotel could attract more business if the restaurant was up and running building a reputation. The bed was very comfortable as were the 3 types of pillows with monogramed embroidered pillow cases. We had a great view of the pool with sun on our balcony virtually all day. The pool was quite dirty by the afternoon with leaves and insects from the palm trees that hang over it, ascetically an unusual design but totally impractical! The pool stays open 24 hours. The staff are lovely and very accommodating but it is such a shame that the hotel is under utilised. An adult only hotel so very quiet. it would have been nice to have a romantic dinner by the pool in the evening... what a shame.

A review of two halves...... Please stick around for the second half!! About 7ish days before our stay I had a message from the hotel asking me roughly what time we would arrive? I responded saying that we were likely to be there around midday. I had read the reviews about checking in at 4pm and not before so I advised that we would put the bags into their storage and sit around the pool for the time in between. I was then messaged back with quite a curt tone that to do this would be a charge of 10 Euros, per person, per hour. 80 Euros (would actually have been 100 as the airport was very quick to get through) before a single purchase, absolutely not!! At this point had the room not been paid in full with no cancellation possible I would have happily cancelled and found another place - I've stayed in places at both ends of the scale in terms of cost and have never been charged to use the facilities if the room hasn't been ready. I've also used pools for other hotels at no cost providing drinks etc were purchased whilst using them. The message quite upset me if I'm honest and I was not looking forward to the stay as much as I had been..... HOWEVER all I can conclude is that the messaging is done by unseen members of the team as when I got there I was met with nothing but smiles and a huge welcome by Pilar. We didn't ask to use the facilities at this point based on the message, so just dropped off our bags and went to explore the town and have lunch. When we came back our room was ready and the bags had been placed in there. Christina had taken over from Pilar and showed us around, and explained the WhatsApp messaging system. Our pool/garden view room was lovely, and the bed was extremely comfortable as was the pillow that we chose (there was a choice of 3). Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion were provided as well as a hairdryer, and beach towels. Kettle and coffees/teas also provided. There is also a coffee machine and water which you can access 24 hours. We settled in at the pool and although it felt very strange to start with we soon got into the swing of ordering beer etc which Christina brought to our sunbed, each time with a smile. Wines by the glass are not available and when I brought this up Christina said I could purchase a bottle and they would keep it in their fridge and she would bring me a glass as and when I requested one. Perfect! We chose to eat at the hotel that evening and the food, cooked by Jose, was lovely. I will agree with other reviews that having a busy bar and restaurant atmosphere would be nice but with only 9 rooms I guess this would be difficult to achieve. Pilar and Jose were generally on breakfast duty - we had filled in the form given with our choices and we could eat inside/outside, or in our room. You could have amended your choices every day but we stuck with the same, and as we had to leave fairly early on our last day chose to have it as a takeaway (given in a lovely hotel hemp bag). We did notice that there were cooked breakfast options available in the information book that is in your room, although we didn't try these. We texted the night before that breakfast choices were the same and whether we'd like it inside/outside etc. While we were there we wanted to watch the England match and Jose was very helpful in suggestions of where to watch. The night before we had watched the Spanish match and was expecting to find screens in the same places but this wasn't the case. All of this texting went on while we were away from the hotel but with each question we had, Jose was at the other end, extremely happy to assist us. We had a 5 night stay and as this was meant to be purely a relaxing break we stayed at the hotel for the majority of the time during the day, going up to our room around 7 to get ready for our evening out. (As an aside, we noticed that there was a large turnaround of guests - some only staying for 1 night in the bungalow.) On the last day I did mention to Christina that it would be great if we could have some other music - the same songs seemed to be on repeat. As I've said we were there for a slightly longer stay than other guests so I noticed it more than perhaps others would, but this is my only complaint. My other suggestion is perhaps 1 or 2 more umbrellas around the pool area would be good as after a certain amount of sun everyone was looking for more shade. However, rarely did it get too busy that anyone struggled - If all the guests were using the sunbeds at the same time it may have been a problem. You are allowed to use the pool at any time and we did have 2 midnight swims where the air and pool temperature were very similar with zero breeze - this was a perfect end to the evening. As all rooms overlook the pool please note that after 10pm it does need to be done quietly. The pool is saltwater not chlorinated. Bar service via WhatsApp is available until around 10.30pm - there is an honesty bar available after that/24 hours. There are some lovely bars and restaurants in Elche and it took us around 10 minutes to walk to them. A taxi from/to the airport is around 25 Euros. We had a fabulous relaxing holiday and I'd like to thank Christina, Jose and Pilar for making it so. If we are ever visiting this area again we would definitely stay here again.

Alt var perfekt. Den nydelige villaen, bassengområdet, det fine rommet, den gode maten og den gode servicen fra det hyggelige personalet. Vi må ikke glemme å ta med den avslappede atmosfæren, den sentrale beliggenheten med inngjerdet parkering og at det ligger midt i byen med kort avstand til alt.

Det eneste negative var at vi kun hadde tid til en overnatting. Neste gang, for det blir helt sikkert en neste gang, skal vi sette av 2 til 3 dager... minst.

We booked this hotel and our reservation was confirmed without any issue and we were fully charged. When we arrived with our teenagers, the hotel refused to honour our booking and would not let us check in. No prior warning, no mention of any restriction at the time of booking — just a flat refusal at the door with our luggage in hand. The director didn't even have the decency to come and speak to us in person. She dealt with the whole situation over the phone through reception, which tells you everything about how much this hotel values its guests. No empathy, no attempt to find a solution. She simply had us thrown out. We had no choice but to call the police, who attended the scene. We have filed a formal complaint and will be pursuing this matter in court. When we asked for a refund, she refused. Let that sink in: they kept our money AND the room and threw four guests out into the street — guests who had paid in full for a two-night stay. We were forced to scramble for alternative accommodation at the last minute — thankfully we managed to find another hotel, but at additional cost out of our own pocket. So not only did we lose what we paid here, we had to pay again elsewhere. This hotel does not care about its guests. Its only concern is money — your money, which it will happily take and keep even when it gives you nothing in return. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest. Save yourself the experience and book somewhere else. Reservamos este hotel y nuestra reserva fue confirmada sin ningún problema. Al llegar con nuestros hijos adolescentes, el hotel se negó a respetar nuestra reserva y no nos permitió hacer el check-in. Sin aviso previo, sin mención alguna de ninguna restricción en el momento de la reserva — simplemente un rechazo en la puerta con las maletas en la mano. La directora ni siquiera tuvo la deferencia de venir a hablar con nosotros en persona. Gestionó toda la situación por teléfono a través de recepción, lo cual dice todo sobre cuánto valora este hotel a sus huéspedes. Ninguna empatía, ningún intento de buscar una solución. Simplemente nos echó. No nos quedó más remedio que llamar a la policía, que se personó en el lugar. Hemos interpuesto una reclamación formal y llevaremos este asunto a los tribunales. Cuando pedimos el reembolso, se negó. Que quede claro: se quedaron con nuestro dinero y con la habitación, y echaron a la calle a cuatro huéspedes que habían pagado íntegramente una estancia de dos noches. Nos vimos obligados a buscar alojamiento alternativo a última hora — afortunadamente encontramos otro hotel, pero con un coste adicional de nuestro propio bolsillo. Así que no solo perdimos lo que pagamos aquí, sino que tuvimos que volver a pagar en otro sitio. A este hotel no le importan sus huéspedes. Su única preocupación es el dinero — tu dinero, que cobrará encantado y se quedará aunque no te dé nada a cambio. Impresentable, irrespetuoso y deshonesto. Ahórrate el disgusto y reserva en otro sitio.

Went here for Easter, quiet and not fully booked. Had a simple double room, no view but a nice outdoor space and very quiet. Pool was open, but cold so only a quick dip. Loved the old charm architecture, though outdated it gives a special feeling staying here. Small hotel also meaning less moving around. Good free coffee for pick up, and cheap selection in the shared minibar. Short walk for train, bus and the old city. Shoot out to Jose Luis, for taking good care of us. Didn't eat here, but know he baked bread everyday and other guests had dinner here.

It's a bit outdated, however functional. We did fight the hot solar water in the shower. Either too hot or too cold.

It was my 2nd time on this hotel. Really impressive their good service and ready-to-go of the staff always, whatever you need or anything you might have at your disposal. Very Familiar, enthusiastic staff, very well served breakfast upon demand( I mean you can taylor-made it whichever your diet needs,preferences and likes). As simple as that. The best choice in the area if you like to be well treated in a very kind and smooth ambience. For sure I will repeat and highly recommended. My tip, chose the online menue as soon as possible. If is there something you would like to include, just give them the time to go to the market and take it for you.

Hotel set in beautiful grounds, with lots of seating and loungers around a great pool. Very comfortable bed.

Couldn’t get consistently hot water in the shower, but this was later fixed for us. No buffet breakfast, just items chosen in advance on a tray. As the hotel was very quiet in February, it felt rather empty and soulless.

Stunning and inspirational. The location is fantastic, I loved being able to easily wonder into town and the park. The hotel was very clean and well equipped, decorated beautifully and comfortable. The hotel grounds are stunning, lazing by the pool was a delight. The staff were exceptional, as a solo traveller I felt looked after, they were so kind and welcoming. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more from a little relaxing holiday and can’t recommend this place enough, I would love to visit again!

The massive let down for me was the bathroom. I can see it has been modernised except for the bathtub. The bath was clearly the original 70's model in a plum colour. I don't have an issue with its age, its just that the sealant round the shower/bath had black mould and also the base of the bath had some black in it too. The bathroom also smelt musty. My husband wore his flip flops in the bath/shower. I prefered to "clean myself" with wet wipes rather than use it! Such a shame, because everything else was lovely. I couldn't recommend to anyone for that reason, sadly .

Ideal location in the centre of Elche with all important parking available - although sorely in need of attention. Wonderful tranquil setting with gardens and pool straight out of a Hollywood setting. Atmosphere in restaurant was non-existent, but numerous places to dine in City centre. Good size rooms with very comfortable beds ensured a good nights sleep, but it could so easily be improved with facilities like fridges, proper bedside tables, towel rails, more bins etc. Staff extremely friendly and helpful even though language was a challenge for all parties. Falls short because it straddles being a boutique hotel, health retreat and business event centre for local SME’s.

Our stay in the eco cabin was wonderfully relaxing, offering both peace and complete privacy. The cleanliness throughout was of an excellent standard, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The garden was especially charming at night, softly illuminated by the lights, creating a serene atmosphere. Room service was impeccable, attentive, and efficient. Ein außergewöhnliches kleines Hotel in luxuriöser Villa mit einem wunderschönen Garten. Toller Pool. Das Grundstück liegt noch im Palmeral und es sind nur ein paar Gehminuten in den Ort. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Ein Ort zum Genießen.

Location and pool area was lovely. Room was clean but hotel has focused on style rather than getting the basics correct.

The hotel was like a ghost hotel. There was only ever one staff member on at any one time. No one in kitchen or restaurant. States there is a minibar - but this is actually an honesty bar in the hall. There is no fridge in the room to store water or drinks. There was no kettle in the room to make tea. Had to get lukewarm water from the coffee machine downstairs. Stated there was an iron - but couldn't find one. The WiFi only worked at the door to our room. When actually in the room there was no WiFi. We reported this on our first night but nothing was done about it. So we had to pay for extra data on our phones during our stay. The safe in the room also was locked shut and this was reported. We were meant to get a text with the the code but again never got it. The shower was just a handheld shower as the hose didn't reach the connection on the wall to allow you to stand under it. The car park was full of rubbish and was like waste ground. More like a B&B without the breakfast - rather than a hotel.

This hotel is in a great spot for exploring town. There is on site free parking. The beds are great and the pool looked beautiful. We would highly recommend this place.

Przepiękny kameralny obiekt otoczony pięknym ogrodem. Wyjątkowy design wnętrz, duże wygodne łóżko z miękkimi poduszkami. Łazienka w pełni wyposażona - od szczoteczki do zębów, po jednorazową golarkę i kosmetyki Rituals - balsam, żel pod prysznic, szampon, odżywka. Dodatkowo duże miękkie ręczniki basenowe, kapcie hotelowe i szlafrok. Duży darmowy parking jest dodatkowym atutem. Lot mieliśmy rano i nie było problemu z pozostawieniem auta na kilka godzin przed zameldowaniem, dzięki czemu mogliśmy swobodnie zwiedzić Elche. Do gaju palmowego 10 minut spacerkiem:) Idealna baza wypadowa do Alicante. Market 300m od obiektu. Piękny basen czynny 24h/dobe, zadbany ogród, pyszne śniadania i bardzo miła obsługa. Brak tłoku, cisza, spokój sprawiły, że mój urodzinowy pobyt był idealny! Dziękujemy

Easy to find via Google maps, secure parking in hotel grounds. Welcoming and helpful reception, excellent location in the middle of the palm groves of Elche, yet only ten minutes walk from the city centre. Attractive pool with guided yoga sessions, good freshly prepared breakfast - order the previous evening. Fascinating decor, original paintings and sculptures around every corner, a hotel put together with care.
