Very sketchy place and staff. They contact me in my private WhatsApp from a random number no the hotels official WhatsApp. Couldn’t help me find a solution to my booking when I booked it didn’t say it was with a shared bathroom. They later updated it on their website. Since the room was not as they make it seem on the website I was very disappointed and they would not give me a refund despite their webpage no being accurate in the moment I booked.

The shared areas were ok.

It isn't beachfront. The family room is a disgrace, I've stayed in better hostels. Its all a bit shabby & the owner doesn't take kindly to complaints. Miserable stay☹️😧

The house is beautiful, inside of an amazing private condo. The staff is adorable and cleans the place more than twice a day. Everything is on place all the time, extra organized and clean. It’s wonderful.

Un endroitest sympa en sortant une vue sur mer, c’est une villa partagée où on peut cuisiner tout seul, les chambres sont pas très grandes mais convenable. Le prix est un peu excessif aurait été moins cher. J’aurais mis une meilleure note pour le prix, je trouve ça cher et la propreté dans les terrasses est à revoir des cigarettes qui traînent le nettoyage ne pas fait assez

Es war alles vorhanden, was benötigt wurde, wir hatten eine super große Terrasse, es gab kostenlose yogastunden, alles war sehr entspannt und unkompliziert, es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt

Es war etwas hellhörig, es war recht feucht in den Badezimmern/wenig Fenster/keine AC

Die Lage war toll - wir lieben Ericerira

Leider hat unser Aufenthalt unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Das Haus war voll mit jungen Volunteers. Es hatte oft den Eindruck, dass viele von ihnen eher Urlaub machten, als sich um die Gäste oder die Pflege des Hauses zu kümmern. Entsprechend war es häufig unordentlich und die Gemeinschaftsbereiche wurden nicht ausreichend sauber gehalten. Ein grosses Problem war zudem die Lautstärke. Bis weit nach Mitternacht, teilweise bis 2 Uhr morgens, wurde in der Küche laut gesprochen und gearbeitet. Wer Zimmer 1 oder 2 hat, hört praktisch alles, als würde der Betrieb direkt durchs Zimmer gehen. An erholsamen Schlaf war kaum zu denken. Die Zimmer sind zudem sehr klein und stickig. Für eine einzelne Nacht mag die Unterkunft in Ordnung sein, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir sie jedoch nicht empfehlen.

Het word gerund doorvrijwilligers en Bruno de eigenaar denkt hier alleen aan geld verdienen. De vrijwilligers moeten bijverdienen voor een eigen eten en drinken. ze moeten het schoonhouden en daarvoor in ruil mogen ze in de garage slapen. Schandalig en echt een moderne slavernij!!.

Slecht verzorgd, het gebouw is echt toe aan renovatie!

Boa receção e atendimento. Simpatia. Confortável, suite é grande e agradável. Yoga gratuito para os clientes ( não frequentei). Limpeza em dia. Espaço agradável e confortável.

Chuveiro praticamente sem pressão. Móvel WC um pouco degradado. Preço demasiado elevado para as comodidades.

They walked into our room when were not present. Curtains were closed and the light was turned on and we didn't leave it that way. We left the next morning and they didn't want to refund the rest of the days, which is extremely unfair and it's the bare minimum that owner should offer according to the situation.

Unsafe!!! But also not in a good condition.

De kamer was koud geen heater of verwarming in de kamer aanwezig. Door de temperatuur was het zeker nodig.

La chambre faisait moins de 9 m2 pour trois la fenêtre qui donne sur la cours arrière , les salles de bains sales et non ventilées . Chambre humide et non climatisé Notre fille a attrapé une verrue.

Volunteers having a party on a Sunday night untll 1.30 am with no warning or apology, quite loud. The feeling of sometime being in the volunteers way.

We had booked, and stayed only 1 night, because the facilities were not clean, and the bathroom was shared with all the building. Mattress was bad, the floor dirty. We asked the owner for a refund, he said ok, and we had booked for 5 nights, but the refund was for less than 1 of the nights. You could hear everything going on and there was noise until late. Definitely no worth the price.

Clean and airy. Good location and well maintained. Very relaxed atmosphere.

The house is most suited to younger travellers and not families and this should be made clear in the description.

Las zonas comunes, muy bonitas y cómodas, todo muy chill y alegre. El ambiente en la casa, muy animado pero cada cual a su rollo, sin agobiar. Muy relajado. La cercanía a la playa y al centro. Al estar en una urbanización privada con vigilancia 24 horas da seguridad. La cocina amplia, y con zonas reservadas para cada habitación tanto en los muebles como en la nevera. Yoga gratis cada día.

La habitación que me tocó era demasiado pequeña para 3 personas. El colchon de abajo, que era doble, se hundía hacia el medio. No cabía ni una repisa para colocar la maleta, habia solo 5 perchas en un palo. Los baños, al ser compartidos se ensucian bastante sobre todo al ser un sitio de playa, por lo que creo que deberian limpiarse más a menudo.

The location was perfect for the beach and a 15 minute walk into town. The house was clean and well cared for and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The vibe was laid back , with an air of welcoming to all. Each day I attended the free yoga classes and they were of a very high standard and met all needs from complete stiff beginner ( myself) to those who had been doing yoga for many years. The teacher ( from central America) gave a clear explanation to all the expectations of the class and enabled us to work at our own pace.

I was in the superior suite and it would have been nice to have my own tea making facilities in my room.

We liked the location, balcony and the common area of the guesthouse. The kitchen was good as well.

Our bedroom was very dusty and moldy. The bathroom was dirty.

The house is extremely cold, and there is no heating system at all. If you’re planning to stay here, make sure to bring a very warm jacket and layers to protect yourself from the cold inside. Additionally, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, with a lot of hair in the toilet and shower area. It seems like the volunteers or staff responsible for upkeep don’t pay much attention to maintaining the space. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness and comfort really impacted my stay. Would not recommend during colder seasons.

The property is in a private lot, which felt safe and easy to park in front of the house. The living room is nice and modern and the kitchen is well equipped. Our room had a big private terrace, which I believe is very nice in warmer weather. The mattresses felt like new and were comfortable.

We visited in January 2025, the house was very cold and humid without any heater in the room and they didn’t offer any extra blanket when we asked for it. The bathroom was generally clean but very humid and moldy. The sound isolation in the rooms is very limited.

Very nice location, 15 min walktime to Ericeira city center. Very nice and calm neighbourhood, with proximity to nearby beaches. The house itself was well equipped.

Unfortunately the description on booking doesnt really match the reality, as it is more of a hostel. Ontop of regular guests (1 more room on top of 3 we booked) there were 2-3 teenagers "taking care of the house" who were also using it as if it was theirs, while inviting their friends and strangers, so it was quite weird and uncomfortable having random people come in and use the house. Shower on bottom floor was super small and oftentimes drained Rooms on first floor had insanely loud beds which during any movement would make such loud noise you could barely sleep.

It’s a hostel, not a hotel. My mistake…I thought it was a cheaper hotel not a more expensive hostel. I didn’t realised it’s a shared bathroom….again my fault. However the e beds are both uncomfortable and very creaky…IKEA that have been assembled and disassembled too many times.

The location is perfect. I believe it a gated community so it's very secure, but I will say the taxi had to drop me off at the gate which meant I had to walk about 1 minute to the actual house. There's so great breakfast places just a 5 minute walk from the room and plenty of space in the kitchen if you'd rather make breakfast at the house. The staff was very welcoming and did a great job keeping the place clean and vibey.

There really wasn't much to not like, but I will say that the house was almost too quiet which meant you could kind of hear everybody moving around when they got up. So if you're looking to watch TV at night you may want to be mindful of the hours.

It was described as a Beachfront, it was not beachfront.

No breakfast was supplied with this room deal, but I have to say the kitchen facilities were excellent

All services were fantastic, with exception to the bathroom's ensuite which had poor ventilation and drainage while showering. The bedroom smelt of humidity due to the shower & WC's poor ventilation. The Hosts offered me a purifier/ dehumidifier which helped a little. The solution to the problem is provide a strong ceiling exhaust extraction fan and better drainage for shower water

The location was fantastic. 3 minute walk to the beach, 2 minutes to small cafe overlooking the cliffs. 8 minute walk to the north side of town.

Had great facilities. We were free to use them and were able to look after ourselves. Supermarket was close by which was handy for us.

Great place, clean and close to everything. The guys there were great too!

The staff was really helpful. The size of the room was really good and confortable. It’s a place with cool vibes and cool people. It’s near by the beach of matadouro . Walking distance 5 minutes maximum , for not saying 3minutes. Surf facilities close by and 5 minutes walking from the center of the village. The street were the house is found if super quiet, so you can enjoy sleeping without external noises. You can park just in front of the house.

This was more because I was travelling with a baby. It might be a little bit uncomfortable the room I chose because of its proximity to the living room and the kitchen. As my baby has light sleep, so any noise woke her up. I guess we disturb other guest too. Although I have to say that All the staff and other guest were super cautious about making any noise.

Should mention, that it is a co-space and includes the inly shower for all guests. Quite clean, loud and very lovely interior. The location is amazing

Great location next to the coast and city. Very nice staff, mostly surfing themselves giving advice about spots and beaches.

I didn’t know that it was like a hostel, never mentioned that on the website. And didn’t know I had to share my bathroom if I would’ve known earlier I would’ve just got a hotel. I shared the bathroom with males & they were untidy.

We made our breakfast, the kitchen is ok , clean and have several devices, it is easy to cook location is ok, nearby the surf spots, but you need a car to reach them the room is very comfortable and the bathroom is very good

Cute guest house across the street from Mataduro surf break. I had my own car so being a bit away from Ericiera center was great for me plus there is abundant parking at the house. The young women working while I was there were so kind. 20 min walk to the center

The owner lives in another town and leaves it up to the "volunteers" (young women traveling) to host the guests. The house is cleaned every morning but still feels like damp sand covers the place. There is essentially one shared bathroom for all guests. No tea or coffee included.

Lovely decor, parking right outside, easy check in.

The room wasn’t fit to sleep in - right next to the kitchen (noisy until late at night) and bed was really uncomfortable and creaked every time you moved. Maybe the other rooms are better but wouldn’t recommend the ‘Economy/family room’ at all.

Shared kitchen was kept very clean and was well appointed. Everything was in good repair. Comfortable shared living area and outdoor space.

A fan in the downstairs family bedroom would have been good as the window is small.

The location, the staff, the bed, the setup for surfing… lots of boards to choose from and a great place to store your boards and wetsuits.
