Location was great

The air conditioner had a strong strange smell, rotten eggs. It was so bad we had to turn it off and leave the windows open all night. It was Saturday night so it was very loud. A dead animal on the system? Maybe a gas leak? No of the options good. Also not very clean, a big hair in the fridge.

La ubicación

Las instalaciones, estaban mal conservadas, , lo cogimos por la terraza y da pena, nada que ver con las fotos de Booking. Booking tendría que asegurarse que las fotos son correctas, la terraza estaba totalmente abandonada. Carísimo , para lo que ofrecía , nos quejamos a la dueña y nos dijo que era culpa de los clientes, en esa terraza hay tablas caídas, las sillas oxidadas, los cojines super desgastados, imposible sentarse ahí y eso no lo hacen los clientes, pasa por falta de conservación. Una pena , la peor estancia que he tenido en Portugal y además carísimo.

The property itself looks nice, the room is attractive, and the cleanliness is good. The cleaning lady was also very kind.

Unfortunately, the management is terrible. There is virtually no assistance at all. Nobody is available on site, they do not answer the phone, and yet they send an endless number of useless automated messages, including repeated confirmations of the same booking. When you actually need something, however, they either do not reply or take 5–7 hours to respond. For example, I asked for information about parking and received an answer about six hours later, when it was no longer useful. The most frustrating issue was the beds. We had specifically requested separate beds three or four times, first through Booking.com and then again through direct messages to the property. Despite this, when we arrived there were no separate beds, and there was nobody available to help or resolve the issue. The room itself is also rather unusual: the bathroom and shower are almost entirely transparent, so there is very little privacy, and the bathroom lighting is extremely poor. It is a shame because the room is nice and the cleaning is good, but the management, communication and lack of assistance are unacceptable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.

Ihre Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön und hat viel Potential. Tolle erstklassige Lage und tolles Interieur. Hohe Decken. Schöner Frühstückraum mit tollem Balkon.

Ich hatte drei Wohnungen gemietet, leider haben alle drei Parteien die gleiche Meinung zu den Dingen die uns gestört haben. 1. An der Nespresso Maschine klebte noch altes Klebeband und die Dose für die Kapseln war sehr staubig. Ebenfalls lagen noch gebrauchte und offene Zuckertütchen in der Dose. 2. Wir hatten fast durchgehend kein Internet in den vorderen Wohnungen und das ist sehr sehr ärgerlich da wir noch Datenvolumen nachkaufen mussten. Konnte kein HomeOffice machen. 3. Der Geruch im Flur beim betreten des Hause war sehr unangenehm und roch nach Abwasserkanal. Der Duftspender war leer und obwohl wir ihn auf den Boden zum auffüllen gestellt haben, stand er am Ende des Aufenthaltes immer noch auf der Treppe. 4. Wasserhahn am Handwaschbecker war defekt. Zimmer Fado. 5. Duschmittel im Zimmer 2te Etage fehlte komplett und wurde nicht aufgefüllt, obwohl wir die Flasche abgemacht hatten, wurde sie leer wieder angebracht. 6. Die Vorhänge der 2. Etage nach vorne waren nicht richtig fest und hingen runter. 7. Handtuchhalter in der Dusche auf der 2.Etage war lose. 8. Lichtspots hingen aus der Decke 9. Der Flur ist sehr dunkel und wird dadurch gefährlich.

Frühstücksservice gut. Am Abreisetag wurde das Frühstück auf unseren Wunsch hin gerne früher serviert. Bett sehr gemütlich. Sauberkeit in Ordnung. Tiefgarage und mehrere Restaurants fußläufig. Suite zum Hof hin ruhig, dafür ist die Aussicht nicht gerade berauschend.

Zimmer zur Straße hin laut wegen Verkehr auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster. An einem Tag wurde ein Zimmer nicht gepflegt. Etwas weniger "Schnick/Schnack" und dafür mehr Licht am Bett oder einfache Haken im Badbereich wären wünschenswert. Warum man vom Zimmer aus durch das nur abgedunkelte Glas in die Dusche und Toilette schauen muß/kann bleibt wohl das Geheimnis des Innenarchitekten. Der Lift ist extrem langsam. Es gibt keine Handläufe im Treppenhaus sondern nur glatte Glasflächen.

The location was perfect. Vila do Conde is a great coastal town with good metro links to Porto. Casa do Rio is perfectly positioned a short and pleasant stroll from the beaches. There are plenty of really good restaurants very close by. Breakfast was excellent and Bernadette is a real star. Nothing was too much trouble.

Gorgeous property with phenomenal views of the river, park, and monastery. Historic on the outside, and very clean and modern on the inside. Breakfast was lovely, we so enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to everything!

Zentrale Lage und Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss und die Stadt.

Aufgrund eines Anlasses am folgenden Tag, war es nicht ganz einfach, einen Parkplatz in der Nähe des Hotels zu finden.

Mooie locatie met uitzicht op het water. Het ontbijt was prima, met zorg bereid door de gastvrouw.

Airco op de kamer maakte wat lawaai. We waren er wel blij mee, anders was het te warm.

I was really satisfied with every aspect of my stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and welcoming, while the design of the property and the breakfast service truly impressed me. Although my visit was only a short business trip, I would be delighted to return in the future with my family and spend more time enjoying your beautiful hotel. Good location and very nicely designed boutique hotel. We had the junior suite with balcony. Excellent finishes including marble flooring, mosaic in shower, wooden ceilings, wall paneling, mirrored walls and free standing bath in the bedroom.

Cleaning needs to be taken more seriously. Toilet was not clean, there was hair from previous guests near the basins, drawers had dust and fluff. My wife was freaking out and ended up sanitising everything before using anything. Serious money was spent on this highly finished hotel and it's a pity to have your reputation ruined because of something so basic in hospitality.

Breakfast and staff were great. Location was ideal.

Room was very noisy above a street cafe. Despite two email requests the cold water tap in the bathroom which was broken was not fixed. Consequently no cold water.

Amazing location and beautiful facilities. Great place to stay.

Lovely boutique hotel with great breakfast. Comfortable beds and friendly staff.

The shower and toilet are both only separated from the bed area by smoked glass, so not the place to stay if you prefer a little privacy for your ablutions!

Aby otrzymać kod do domofonu oraz wejść do apartamentu trzeba było stoczyć wojnę z obsługą, która najpierw starała się wmówić, że kod jest w mailu następnie po udowodnieniu faktu, że żaden kod nie przyszedł - zaczęli się tłumaczyć, że to booking nie wysłał... Finalnie po dużych bojach otrzymałem kod na Whatsapp...

Buchung und Bezahlung der Unterkunft war problemlos. Dann wurde uns mitgeteilt, das wir vor dem Zugangscode noch ein Formular ausfüllen müssen. Da wir dieses Formular nicht erhalten haben, haben wir mehrfach angefragt über Booking und direkt beim Anbieter. Wir haben jedoch keine Antwort erhalten. Bei der Ankunft funktionierte die Klingel mit Video nicht. Gemäss dem Restaurant unten hatten auch andere Kunden Probleme! Also versuchten wir den Anbieter telefonisch zu erreichen. Ohne Erfolg. Deshalb mussten wir über Booking zusätzlich eine andere Unterkunft buchen. Danach wurde uns ein Code übermittelt, dies war dann zu spät. Bis heute haben wir vom Anbieter keine Antwort auf unsere Anfragen erhalten, sondern nur automatisierte allgeine Mitteilungen! So etwas haben wir bei Booking noch nie erlebt! Wir verlangen dehalb die vollständige Rückerstattung!!!!

A localização é excelente, mesmo de frente para o rio Ave e muito perto do mar que permitiu uma excelente caminhada. O espaço muito acolhedor com sofisticação. O pequeno almoço com excelente oferta e servido carinhosamente no momento

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the river. Great breakfast prepared by.Bernadete. She is super friendly and provided lots of fruit and all kinds of breakfast goodies. The room was spacious, and very well decorated. Clean and in a nice location. We would highly recommend this place, even though it is quite a ways from Porto. There is a metro station nearby and we took the train into Porto.

A pessoa responsável pela receção dos hóspedes e pela garantia do nosso conforto durante os 4 dias da nossa estadia, Dª Bernardete, foi muito atenciosa, super disponível, atenta. Enfim, fez tudo com brio e dedicação. A localização do hotel de charme é mesmo em frente ao rio, no centro e perto da praia, e tem uma vista linda do quarto e da sala do pequeno almoço.

O colchão poderia ser melhor. A iluminação no quarto e na sala das refeições é muito fraca. Se precisarmos de trabalhar no quarto ou na sala de refeições, esta unidade hoteleira não está preparado para tal. Tivemos que pagar coworking no AC Villa, que recomendamos. Ou, em alternativa, na biblioteca de V Conde - não foi tão confortável mas tb resolveu.

O espaço é muito bonito, com requinte. Têm uma vista muito bonita. Muito bom gosto. Adorei.

O que gostei menos foi o colchão.

Os quartos eram espaçosos e confortáveis. Bom pequeno-almoço com vista bonita. Reservei para a preparação de noiva para o dia do casamento e toda a experiência foi incrível.

A suite não tinha muita privacidade entre a sanita e a cama, tornava-se um pouco desconfortável. A luz era demasiado fraca e isso notava-se bastante depois de anoitecer.

Vila do Conde est une jolie petite ville, l’hôtel est situé sur la Place de la République qui est très jolie et on peut y trouver plusieurs excellents restaurants à quelques pas de l’hôtel. C’est tranquille, quand même très près de belles plages et de plusieurs petits villages digne d’intérêts - je recommande fortement. Toutes les chambres sont spacieuses !

Nos alojamos en las habitaciones traseras y las vistas no son muy agradables, ya que son patios interiores de viviendas y casas, estando además expuestos a los vecinos. La relación calidad precio para ser Portugal es algo elevada.

Close to the Camino route & easy to find.

There is no privacy as toilet & shower is glass with no shades. Not suitable gor friends sharing room. The lights are too dim. Only provided 1 bath towel!?!! I paid for twin sharing and they did not arrange the beds separate?!?!

El personal, las instalaciones y la ubicación

Nada, todo perfecto

Die Lage ist toll. Wir hatten das Zweibettzimmer mit Terrasse im 1. Stock. Die Terrasse ist schön, wenn auch ohne Aussicht. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und aussergewöhnlich mit vielen schönen Details. Das Frühstücksangebot war gut und der Frühstücksraum im 3. Stock hat eine schöne Aussicht.

Vorher fanden wir due Flut an E-Mails und Aufforderungen zum erneuten Zahlen(? obwohl bereits abgebucht war) und dem Übermitteln der Ausweisnummern s e h r nervig. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer und vor allen Dingen im Bad ist -wahrscheinlich aus Design Gründen - sehr spärlich. Das ist im Bad wirklich unpraktisch. Das Frühstück hätte gemütlich sein können, wenn nicht die gesamten 40 min wirklich sehr laute Kommunikation durch den Raum stattgefunden hätte.
