Da wir allein mit Freunden in der Unterkunft waren, fühlte man sich wie zu Hause.

Sijainti oli loistava ja vastapäätä oli kiva ja kohtuuhintainen Thai-ravintola. Patja oli hyvä vaikka sänky piti kovaa narinaa. Suihkusta tuli hyvin kuumaa vettä. Yhteydenpito omistajan kanssa sujui hyvin.

Majapaikka oli lohduttoman huonosti hoidettu. Tuolla hinnalla kulahtanut saa olla mutta olisi kiva jos olisi edes puhdasta ja laitteet ym. toimisivat. Kaikki oli jos ei rikki niin ainakin melkein. Huoneeni sälekaihdin romahti alas, kun koskin siihen, keittiössä mikro oli aivan hajalla, wc:n kansi irti, hanat heiluivat liitoksistaan ym. ym. Sängyn vieressä ei pistorasiaa eikä lamppuja. Tämä sisääntulokerroksessa, alakerta vaikutti remontoidulta ja uudemmalta ja niistä huoneista oletettavasti myös se luvattu merinäköala.

Ensimmäisen kerroksen huoneemme oli tilava ja siisti. Merimaisema. Keskeinen sijainti.

Talo oli huonokuntoinen ja osa tiloista haisi voimakkaasti homeelta. Tiloissa oli näkyviä vesi- ja muita vaurioita. Äänieristystä ei ollut lainkaan.

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen, was an allen Ecken und Enden zu sehen ist. Es könnte mehr Sauberkeit vertragen. Wer günstig für eine Nacht unter kommen möchte, könnte damit leben.

Renhold var dårlig overalt, det lukta mugg i gangen. Gammelt og slitt.

Fint rum och läge, mycket hjälpsam och trevlig personal

Utsikt mot sjøen, selvbetjening og en veldig fleksibel og behjelpelig vert. Jeg fikk også lov til å låne badstuen, selv om den var forbeholdt rommene i kjelleretasjen.

Ikke lydtett mellom veggene.

Es gab leider keinen Föhn. Alles war sehr alt, Gemeinschaftsräume und Küche waren nicht sauber.

Old, but comfy. Clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but the bed was soft, and it was warm, just what i needed.

Loction good easy to find

A bit run-down, steep stairs, untidy kitchen

Simple room in good location with good prize. I figured out the sauna too late, but next time I will know. Vardø is great.

Check-in was extremely smooth; we arrived late in the evening, got the code to the key box located outside and our room was all ready for us. The room was very spacious and the place is animal friendly so we had no problems fitting 2 people and our 2 dogs. Little kitchen with everything you need and hot shower with good pressure. Free parking right outside if you arrive by car, but all the sights are walking distance anyway. Will definitely stay here again if ever in Vardø!

We had to call to get info how to check in and which room we had, we didn't find that info anywhere. But they were very nice on the phone!

Great place to stay, very clean. It's pretty basic but for the price it's a good hostel. Everything you may need for a few days stay

The house is a bit old and sure here and there some improvements are due, but it is very charming at the same time and one has everything needed for a relaxed stay. The location is close to the harbour and the main bus stop. A short walk to the market and the only pub in town. Everything is doable on foot. Ckecking in was very easy. The owner Steinar is a very accomodating and super relaxed host. I especially wish to point out his kindness that wont be forgotten.

A central location, quiet. Easy to find.

Nothing in particular, it was as I hoped it was.

Toilet and shower were very basic, but seemed to be clean.

The window in my room was extremely dirty. The room itself seemed clean. But I mistrusted the bed sheets and preferred to sleep in my sleeping bag. And the system with the key boxes was irritating. There was one and the same code for every box. And the numbers of the boxes didn't relate with the room numbers. So one had to look, which box had a key in it, and then go and try, if it was the right one or not. I was happy that an old couple, living at the same place, helped me.

Floor in the room was dirty. But the one that bothered me was the bathroom floor which turned slimy when got wet. Location was good, staff friedly and room cute.

Good location and prize

Really good contact with owner, possibility to come whenever since the key is in a keybox with a code so it want a problem i arrived late in a night. Possible to use a kitchen downstairs. Simple accomodation, but when you stay really short time/just sleep and travel on then it works perfectly.

Really thin walls so I heard the person in a neighbours room snoring really loud

Good "home away from home" athmosphere, comfy, warm room and nice beds. Sauna, nice kitchen. Good location in the middle of Vardo. It was really pleasant to find an option, that is suitable also for budget travellers and is still good value.

Det er nok ikke brukt mye ressurser på vedlikehold her de siste årene (eller kanskje ti-årene). Men rommet inneholdt det jeg hadde bruk for. Innsjekkingen gikk greit; ved hjelp av et oppgitt telefonnummer fikk jeg vite hvor jeg fant nøkler til gatedør og rom. Felles WC, dusj, badstu (!) og kjøkken.

Rent og pent, bra service

Enkelt og greit for en overnatting eller to. God beliggenhet og hjelpsom vert hvis du trenger noe.

We enjoyed the fine hospitality and spacious quarters.

Sentralt og billig, ja, men altfor shabby. Kontakter hang og dinglet, lyspærene var gått, sengetøyet utslitt, kjøleskapsdøren var falt av, badegulvet var skittent og ekkelt. Rom 1 og 2 var helt greie, men rom 3 i kjelleren var bare ekkelt.
