The Salty Lodge

The apartment we had was spacious and clean. We had great views from our room. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The bottle of wine and little treats on arrival were a fabulous surprise.

It was in the best location of Lagos old town. The apartment was lovely. We asked for an apartment looking out onto the back of the building so it would be quieter and no street noise. The communal area on the 5th floor was stunning. Sofa bed very comfortable. Staff very helpful particularly Joana.

Only thing we didn’t like was the view from our huge balcony. We did request it and it was quiet, but we were overlooking some very scruffy apartments.

The property was clean and very modern with a full kitchen and everything you need for a holiday including beach umbrellas. The location was perfect - accessible to everything on your doorstep. The rooftop area was really good with different areas to see the beautiful views and be able to work if you needed to. The staff were also excellent - extremely responsive and customer focused. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the bedrooms on the 2nd unit we stayed in didn’t have a proper wardrobe- this wasn’t a big deal as we were only staying in that unit for one night.

Otroligt fint boende med perfekt läge! Personalen var väldigt snäll och alltid tillgänglig och hjälpsam. Lägenheten var välutrustad med allt man behöver och dessutom väldigt välstädad.

Hade uppskattat bättre belysning i rummen och klädställ i både rummet och badrummet så att man kan hänga av sig kläderna. Annars var allt perfekt.

It was quiet even though we were central. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed.

There was always a smell in the reception area. It didn’t get to the room though thankfully.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. Two full bathrooms, full kitchen, nice porch looking out over the bustling street. Central location to shopping, bars and restaurants.

There was some noise from outside: We shut but didn’t seal our window closed one night and that was our mistake.

The property was clean and spacious. The decor was very cute. It was also nice that it is right in the middle of restaurants and shops. The employees were so sweet and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The shower head poured out in a single stream instead of sprinkling - the water pressure was good, however. The noise from the street at night is pretty prominent, but we brought a noise machine with us and it blocked the noise.

Great location in the heart of the Town. I was a bit worried it might be noisy at night but our suite wasn’t facing onto the street so it was really quiet. Staff were really helpful and polite. Very clean. Would stay here again! z

If I’m going to be super critical, the hotel is only small. Whilst there is a roof top terrace, half of it was closed off when we were there so not much room to sit and chill in the sun anywhere but I guess that’s what the beaches are for!

Great location on main pedestrian street, free parking is available up the hill but affordable paid parking available nearby. We loved staying centrally. Our kitchen was very well-equipped and a welcome surprise. The rooftop common area is very nice.

El inconveniente el ruido y el mal uso de las zonas comunes, de tal manera que no pudimos hacer uso de ellas. Mucha gente de cachondeo, bebiendo y con música hasta altas horas de la noche.

Localização ótima, na principal rua de comércio e restaurantes. Apartamento amplo, cozinha muito bem equipada. Limpeza diária. Aparelhos de ar condicionado nos três cômodos. A Joana nos recebeu muito bem, deu excelentes dicas e foi muito simpatica e prestativa. O prédio tem um rooftop com linda vista e de uso comum, onde se pode fazer uma resenha, tomar um drink, etc.

The location could not have been better - step out of the front door and there are so many restaurants, bars and shops right there. A short walk to the beach or easy to get an Uber to other nice beaches. Staff super friendly and helpful, and it was a lovely touch that there were so many items available for shared use (beach towels, beach toys, bikes).

The bed was a little uncomfortable but probably just personal preference, it would not put me off staying here again if I were in Lagos.

Unfortunately, very noisy at night due to being on the main thoroughfare . Apartments need to be trebled glazed which may help to reduce noise levels . Poor sleep due to noise .

Rooftop lounge is quiet and beautiful, room is clean and well designed. Local oranges and tea in the lobby and local almonds/honey/jam/butter in the room were a great touch. Location is impeccable. The rooms were well stocked with utensils, flatware and consumables.

Window in our room let in quite a bit of noise on the noisy street at night. The shower doors were not sealed properly and leaked a ton of water onto the bathroom floor.

Perfekte, sehr zentrale Lage mitten in der Altstadt und trotzdem überraschend ruhig (zumindest mit Blick zum Innenhof). Die Dachterrasse ist ein echtes Highlight – traumhafter Blick aufs Meer und über die Altstadt, dazu viele gemütliche kleine Bereiche mit etwas Privatsphäre, perfekt für einen Kaffee am Morgen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den fantastischen Service an der Rezeption: Joana ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und ein echter Sonnenschein. Sie gibt tolle Tipps und kümmert sich mit viel Herz um die Gäste – grosses Kompliment! 👌

Das Bett war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu hart – aber das ist natürlich individuell. Ansonsten nichts zu beanstanden, ich kann die Salty Lodge absolut empfehlen, besonders für alle, die es unkompliziert und locker mögen.

This is an absolutely lovely apartment in a perfect location. The apartment was clean and the beds were great (including the pullout sofa). But even better than all of that, we love Joana! She is so incredibly sweet and fun.

The un-mentioned free bikes and sand toys were a HUGE plus for us. The place itself is nothing fancy, but we expected that. The first room we were given was brand new and so cute, but it was facing the inside of the courtyard and other neighbor's hanging laundry. We made a complaint and the next day we were moved to an older room but the view was insane.

Schöne Unterkunft inmitten der Altstadt. Genauso hatten wir es uns vorgestellt. Alles war vorhanden in der Wohnung was man braucht und frische Orangen und Kaffeepads gab es obendrauf. Schöne Dachterrasse zum relaxen und alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Bequemes Bett.

Menschen die es ruhig haben wollen sollten außerhalb der Altstadt eine Bleibe suchen.

The suite was very well laid out for 3 people, comfortable, very clean, quiet (even though located on a busy tourist street), everything worked as expected, and all in a wonderful location in the old city of Lagos.

Fantastic location within the city center of Lagos! The property is very nice and our room offered a view of the street and ocean. Easily walk to restaurants and shops in the city center. Easy access to the bus terminal (walkable distance) or catch a bolt to other areas as needed.

I think the location is fantastic very easy to get to all good restaurants and also walk towards the sea. There is a nice rooftop Terrace with good views. Staff seemed helpful and friendly.

The apartments are used by young families which meant that I could hear a lot of crying in the night and also early in the morning I’m not sure that the rooms are soundproof. While I was able to sleep through the night, if you’re a light sleeper this might not be the best.

Very good location in the town and with a see view. Very good service and nice and friendly staff. Comfortable and nice apartments.

Only thing was the smell from the restaurants ventilations at the balcony/ terrace, but it’s difficult to avoid in the center of town.

Great location in the Old Town. Yet a bit quieter than the most crowded section. Staff very helpful. City and ocean views beautiful.

Location in Lagos old town was great. Comfortable little apartment with decently stocked kitchenette. Nice terrace off the living area and window opened wide in the bedroom. Good bathroom with great water pressure and rainfall shower head. Both the street and the building felt safe; it is directly on the main tourism street although on a quiet section. Staff was very nice and helpful although limited hours for reception (they are always available via phone). Daily cleaning service available. Elevator in the building. Door codes for both the entrance and apartment doors. Walkable to all the attractions, beaches, restaurants, etc. Crib provided as requested. Roof terrace area is very cute and well stocked, would be great for a hang-out or reading area outside of the apartment.

Loading and unloading can be difficult as there is no street parking in front of the lodge although we pulled off with flashers temporarily. Parking garage nearby is 10 Euro per day. A little street noise, but not much. Laundry service in the building would be nice. The service is offered but requires 24 hours before check-out. The staff recommended a laundry service just a short walk away which was great.

Super Lage in Lagos fußläufig zu sehr vielen Restaurants, dem Strand und Hafen, sehr nettes Personal, schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit komfortablen Betten, super ausgestattete Küche und alles sehr sauber. Und traumhafte Dachterasse mit Meerblick! Täglich gab es frische Orangen, im Zimmer waren Honig, Mandeln, es gab gratis Kaffee und Tee.

Es war abends ein wenig laut, aber das hat uns nicht weiter gestört.

Solo dopo aver pagato attraverso Booking è arrivato un messaggio dalla struttura in cui si avvisava che il letto non era agibile da entrambi i lati. In effetti il letto era scomodissimo, incastrato in una nicchia, ed il terzo letto era a castello quasi irraggiungibile. Trovo scorretto avvisare di questo problematica a pagamento effettuato, Booking dovrebbe impedire queste cose, la promessa nel sito di Booking era di un monolocale con letto matrimoniale + letto singolo, nessun accenno alla scomodità dell'accesso solo da un lato. Non prenotate il monolocale!

Prachtige uitzicht op zee, aan alle extra’s gedacht (wat ontbijt in de ijskast, sinaasappelen, koffie thee, schepjes en emmers te leen etc etc), vriendelijk in contact, leuk midden in het centrum en goed te lopen naar strand.

Nice apartment very well located. I've asked for separate beds for kids and there was no problem with providing that. Welcome snack is very cute. Option of bikes for free is perfect! The only issue is that there is no parking, so if you travel by car you need to find parking - in historical location it can be not very close.

Il nostro quarto viaggio a Lagos e prima volta al Salty Lodge. Tutto è andato oltre le aspettative. Volevamo comprendere com'è la vita a Lagos fuori dai mesi super turistici e Salty Lodge è stata la scelta perfetta. Situato nel centro storico di Lagos, si presenta pulitissimo e ordinato. Eravamo al secondo piano, Joana ci ha accolti in modo delizioso. La stanza viene riordinata quotidianamente, è spaziosa e pulitissima. La cucina è attrezzata e c'è anche un piccolo terrazzino esterno con tavolino e sedie. Bagno con bellissima doccia. All'ultimo piano c'è una terrazza in parte coperta e in parte scoperta, nella quale si può conversare e sorseggiare qualcosa in tranquillità godendo di una bellissima vista sui tetti di Lagos e l'oceano! Consigliatissimo!

The Salty Lodge was AMAZING and we would 100% stay there again if we come back to Lagos. The location was perfect and walking distance to everything (including the Flixbus station). I would highly reccomend staying here if you want something that is walking distance to shops and restaurants (it was a longer walk to the beach, but the Bolt's were inexpensive). It was also great to be able to have the apartment cleaned daily. The rooftop has a common area and this was also a lovely addition to be able to relax at the accomodation, but not in our room.

Location, 1 bedroom apartment size, layout, cleanliness, furnished well and well equipped. I was surprisingly upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment. When I first arrived Joana came from behind the desk and walked towards the door to greet me and welcome me. I had never experienced this before. I would definitely stay hweeea

The cleaner only offered to clean the apartment at 4pm on the 4th day of my stay. As I was leaving the next morning, I declined the offer. It would have been nice to have it cleaned a day earlier at least. There were some fellow guests who were very inconsiderate and made lots of noise 2 nights on the trot. The second night it went on until 2:30am.

Loved the sea views and balcony sitting area overlooking the church and water. Lots of space in the one bedroom apartment. Nice little goodies left including oranges, honey, nuts, butter and crackers. The common rooftop area is an added bonus. Really liked the availability of complimentary bicycles for guests. Don’t miss the museum entrance just up the road, that museum contains the entry to the gold church.

Location is perfect for the restaurants, shops and bus station. Everything we needed was in good walking distance. This is our second time here and would recommend the Salty Lodge. Maybe next year will be another visit. The staff were very welcoming.

We liked everything we had. It can be noisy during the late evening as there is a karaoke bar and other restaurants very close by . Last year, we suggested that all rooms should have an Nespresso machine. This was granted. Thank you. This year we suggested a floor lamp for the living area that can be used when using the pull out bed. It was inconvenient to get out of bed to turn the main light off.
