A hidden gem in the middle of the city. Original and quite location with living room and kitchen facilities. We ejoyed staying here very much.

I wanted to try a traditional hanok experience. I liked it a lot. The house is beautiful. My futon/mat was very comfortable. The family owners are super-sweet.

The hanok is down mound of a funky alley, surrounded by machine parts shops. But just a couple blocks after that are lots of good cafes.

If nothing else, I learned one valuable lesson: never spend money at a place like this.

The location was great. It was an amazing experience to stay at a traditional Korean house. The place was very well mantained and clean. And the host was very friendly and helpful.

The service from host Chang Hoon was outstanding—professional, polished, and truly excellent. The entire experience felt authentic and genuine, and even my high school–aged children thoroughly enjoyed it. You MUST go!

The only downside was sleeping on the floor on a thick mattress, as we’re used to sleeping on a bed. However it was also a unique experience—resting on the floor atop a beautiful traditional Korean doona.

At least one chair in the room would have been good and the attic room was really not easily accessible unless you are young and athletic

접근성과 주변 상점 모두 힘듭니다. 장점: 훌륭한 가옥을 보존한 것과 아름다움은 최고입니다. 단점: 너무 많습니다. 1. 온돌방 특유의 따뜻함을 원했는데 미세한 온도 조절이 없습니다. 덥거나 춥거나 2. 전통을 보존하는 것은 좋지만 투숙객입장에서는 영 아닙니다. 옷걸이도 없고. 충전을 사용하기에 부족한 콘센트 라든지 3. 방음 효과 - 제로 4. 대청은 있지만 3가족이 머물기에 거의 사용은 불가능하며 눈요기에 그쳐야 함 5. 샤워장의 바닥이 너무 미끄러워 주의를 했지만 두번이나 넘어짐 - 미끄럼 방지 패드를 깔아야 하는 것을 생각해야 함 6. 도심인데도 엄청난 모기로 인해 고생 7. 일반 호텔을 생각하고 가시면 엄청 고생합니다. 대화하기에도 불편을 느낄정도입니다. 8. 주인장께서는 다시 깊게 생각해 투숙객 입장에서 점검을 하는 것이 좋다고 봅니다. 가격은 매우 높은 편입니다. 숙박비가 아쉬울 정도입니다. 9. 주인장은 매우 친절합니다. 하지만, 시설이 불편하다는 것입니다. 시설을 업그레이드 하셔야 할듯 총평: 방문하고 싶지 않는 숙소중 한 곳

Es muy bonito, está en medio de la ciudad pero es un lugar súper tranquilo. El propietario súper amable.

伝統韓屋を満喫できました。とても素敵な宿泊施設です。狭めの部屋に二人で宿泊しましたが 梁が見える天井が高い部屋なので広く感じられ またバスルームは現代的にきちんと整備されていました。共有のリビングやダイニングには 調度品や伝統の飾りなどがあり 雰囲気は抜群です。共有スペースは屋外からも含め 鍵はかかりませんが 各部屋はもちろん鍵がかかります。屋内外に防犯カメラが複数設置されていて 鍵がかからないところがあっても 安全なつくりでした。ただその日の宿泊者は私達だけで またオーナーさんは宿泊の説明をした後 帰宅されるので 夜間は全く二人だけでした。ちょっと不安でしたが 治安はいいところですよと言われ 実際全く問題ありませんでした。いつでも連絡できるように配慮してくださったので。

위치가 너무 좋았고 한옥이 너무 아름다웠습니다. 다음에 재방문하고 싶습니다. 사장님도 친절하셨고, 청결도도 매우 좋았습니다. 한옥이지만, 각방마다 화장실이 매우 깔끔했습니다. 주차도 멀지 않은 곳에 있어서 편리했습니다. 감사합니다.

한옥이라 어쩔 수 없는 방음문제가 있었던 것 같습니다. 아이들과 함께 가면 아이들의 소리가 다른 객실에 피해를 끼칠 수 있습니다.

An amazing experience to stay in a traditional Korean house in the heart of Daegu. The room was so cozy and warm and the owner was very kind and friendly.

The staff was amazing! So helpful. So accommodating. It was such a quaint little get away in the middle of the city. So much charm. We could walk to the markets and the night market was a very fun family activity.

The only thing we found difficult was the pillows. They may have been authentic but they weren’t comfortable.

We wanted to stay in a traditional Hanok and were very happy at the Hanok1957. A small oasis between more or less typical (uninteresting) city buildings. We found all we were looking for: From a calm garden you can enter your rooms (with bathrooms) and you can even use a kitchen room. Of course, every guest has to be quiet, as the walls are thin, and you are sleeping on the floor, but on (thin) mattresses (so no problem at all). From Hanok1957 you can reach Daegu center with shops and restaurants by foot, a night market is close (Seomun) and a bus stop is nearby as is a really excellent bakery. And the staff was very kind and helpful. Simply a great hanok stay.

Such a lovely place: beautiful little garden, cozy room, tidy common kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was also nice and spacious.

I thought the travelers staying in a hanok would want to live quietly and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Quite on the contrary there were young people watching tv until 2 am. The walls are very thin. Perhaps you could remind everyone to really stay quiet after 23 o'clock?

Only a 5 minute walk from Seomun Traditional Market and bus stops only 300m away from Hanok. Buses can take you into the heart of the city or to other tourist locations you may want to explore. The Seomun Market also has a night market with lots of food stalls open, and a lovely vibe. The staff at the Hanok always responded to queries quickly and were very friendly. The bed is traditional Korean futon, so we found it a bit hard, but it's all part of the experience.

Only thing we could fault was the futon bed. But, that's all part of the traditional hanok experience. If you don't like hard beds or sleeping on the floor, then don't stay in a hanok.

대구 중심에 이런 한옥이 있었네요. 관리도 너무 깨끗하게 되어 있어서 너무 만족했습니다. 화장실 샤워실도 각각 방에 설치되어 있어서 좋았습니다. 정원이나 공동 부엌도 쓸수있어서 가벼운 티타임을 가지기도 좋았습니다. 다만 예약시 안내받은대로 확실히 한옥 특성상 방음이 취약하긴 하네요. 옆방의 코고는 소리가 그대로 들리는 정도. 저희는 그렇게 신경쓰이지는 않았지만 소음에 민감한 분들은 힘들수도 있겠네요. 그리고 까는 이불이 얇은것도 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 바닥이 그대로 느껴지는 정도라... 조금 더 두꺼운 것으로 준비해주시면 좋을것 같습니다.

It was so beautiful. The owners were so nice. They even took the time to stop and visit with us. Even though we needed to use a translator app to communicate🙂

The property was so beautiful and the hosts were so kind to us during our stay! They let us check in early and thoroughly explained all of the features and amenities as well as recommending us good restaurants in the area to try.

Very friendly hosts who helped me with washing clothes and all of my questions about Daegu. The room and all other facilities are nicely designed and very clean. The location is very close to Daegu station and equidistant between Seodaegu and Dongdaegu stations.

The host is really nice, he let us check in earlier since there was no one occupied the day before. The place was quiet small for 4 people but we wanted to live alone so it didn’t matter. It was so clean and we had a good night.

It’s quite far away from the subway so highly recommend to take the taxi there which is quite cheap

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. so neat to get the chance to spend the night as if we were living in the past in Korea. Everything was so cutely decorated and neat. You can tell the host really cares about this property.

Wow, what a lovely place. We only stayed 1 night but really loved the experience of staying in a hanok. The courtyard is very pretty, everywhere is spotlessly clean, the bedding looks beautiful, the shower was powerful and it's tranquil & quiet. It's also only a short walk to the metro station. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed here for 4 nights and was worried I wouldn’t handle the traditional mattress. It ended up being one of the most comfortable and restful sleeps I had! The place was so tranquil and secluded. Yet when you stepped outside the complex, you had easy access to public transport, local market and more! The owner was so lovely. Good communication and very accomodating. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely beats many of the hotel stays I’ve been in.

Its a beautiful heaven in the middle if the city. Close to all transport and very easy and safe to walk around. The market is really close too. The hanok itself is full of plants and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are fully renovated and very clean. I would love to come back. The host was really friendly and helpful

We were warned beforega d that due to it being a traditional hanok walls were very thin. The last 2 nights there were other guests that were a bit loud after 10pm. But that is not the place's fault

Absolutely nothing. it’s in distance from the market, a lot of food places and an excellent spot called Chicken and Beer which is a couple of blocks from this location.
