Il letto era veramente molto comodo e la pulizia è stata fatta quotidiana. Le stanze sono molto silenziose e pur non avendo la colazione, erano presenti dei pasticcini da poter mangiare liberamente. Voto più che positivo

I didn’t feel comfortable sharing the room with old men who were semi-naked all the time. I would love to have the option of a female only room. Another little detail is that taps in the kitchen, room and common toilet were constantly leaking and it’s a pity because the facilities are really nice. Everything else was perfect.

El mantenimiento de las habitaciones y la limpieza: pelos en las sábanas, suelo sucio (encontramos uñas), baño con restos de suciedad, un agujero en la pared por haber cambiado un aplique de posición, no había gel ni champú suficiente para más de 1 día, el aire acondicionado perdía agua que goteaba por la pared…

La struttura gode di una posizione eccezionale e lo staff si è dimostrato estremamente gentile e disponibile in ogni momento. Purtroppo, però, la nostra esperienza di sonno è stata pessima a causa della posizione della nostra camera, situata proprio accanto alla lavanderia e alla zona comune. Su tre notti non siamo mai riusciti a riposare adeguatamente per due motivi principali: Rumori notturni: l'asciugatrice è rimasta in funzione a pieno regime attaccata alla nostra parete fino alle 00:30. Confusione mattutina: nonostante il regolamento richieda il silenzio fino alle 8:00, già alle 6:00 del mattino gli ospiti in partenza per il trekking sul Monte Pico iniziano le attività e la preparazione delle colazioni, creando forte rumore. È davvero un peccato, perché con una migliore insonorizzazione, una gestione più rigida degli orari degli elettrodomestici o un controllo sul rispetto delle regole della quiete avremmo lasciato un feedback a pieni voti. Purtroppo, non potendo dormire, non possiamo assegnare una valutazione superiore.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Besitzer hat und Schlüssel selbst übergeben und viele interessante und praktisch Tips. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet, unerwartet groß und bestens gelegen. Parkplatz gegenüber. Fußläufig ein alle wichtigen Einrichtungen leicht erreichbar. Im nahen Ortszentrum gibt's ein paar nette Bars, wo man auch gut essen kann. Die Ortsbewohner waren sehr kontaktfreudig und herzlich. Als Weg zum Ort empfehle ich die Uferstraße.

Insonorização muito má! Ouve-se todo o ruído da rua e da receção. O chão todo em parquet também não ajuda. O meu quarto ficava mesmo em frente à receção, ouvia a porta da rua a abrir e a bater a toda a hora, as pessoas a falarem alto, a subirem e a descerem as escadas. Só consegui dormir com tampões para os ouvidos durante as 4 noites em que estive alojado e não acho que seja suposto vir de férias e ter de dormir com tampões nos ouvidos. Ouvi vários hóspedes a queixarem-se do mesmo. A limpeza do quarto também deixou muito a desejar, torneiras e móveis com manchas e muita sujidade por debaixo das camas.

La cucina comune andrebbe pulita a fondo più spesso. Purtroppo non ci si può aspettare che gli ospiti sanifichino adeguatamente la cucina, le stoviglie e gli elettrodomestici dopo averli utilizzati. Inoltre, gli strofinacci probabilmente vengono cambiati dopo molti utilizzi.

Reviewed Apr 5, 2026Die Lage ist super, der Wohn/-essbereich ist sehr gemütlich und die Zimmer sind geräumig für ein Hostel.
Beim Öffnen der Fenster ist leider der unangenehme Geruch vom Ufer wahrnehmbar und die Zimmertüren sind etwas hellhörig.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2026The location is well placed at the very city centre of the town. That was a blessing because I had a sore knee that prevented me from walking around too much. Dorms are comfy and there is a bit of everything for the occasional backpacker. This includes lines and towels, which were provided complimentarily. That is a plus for a hostel and I keep maintaining that Portuguese hostels abide by the best standards I have seen in Europe so far. Always at a competitive price.
The receptionist was not particularly welcoming but spoke good English and provided all key information.

La luce del bagno che si accende con un sensore, per cui specie di notte è fastidioso non poter decidere se/quando accendere e spegnere, meglio il classico interruttore.

Reviewed Mar 19, 2026L’accueil, ma chambre, mon lit, le petit-déjeuner, la situation géographique et le prix : tout était pour moi parfait. J’ai choisi une chambre double avec vue sur la mer. À mon arrivée, on m’a proposé de prendre un petit-déjeuner, alors qu’en principe il est prévu le lendemain de la réservation. La direction m’a également sorti d’une situation très difficile. Suite à l’annulation de tous les ferries en raison des intempéries, ils ont pris le temps nécessaire pour me trouver une solution. Cela a été fait avec patience, calme et efficacité, ainsi qu’une sincère volonté de m’aider à sortir de cette grosse galère. Ils ont finalement trouvé une solution inespérée qui m’a permis de sauver trois billets d’avion que j’aurais perdus sans leur aide, ainsi que la suite de mon voyage. J’ai ainsi pu continuer sereinement les dix jours qu’il me reste à passer aux Açores. Mille mercis 🙏👍

Reviewed Feb 28, 2026Our check in went all well. We could leave our baggage in the reception on early arrival. We received a code for the front door which was very convenient. Our room had a beautiful view on the port. The shower worked fantastic.
The beds were a bit old. A little fridge in the room would have been great. Suggestions for restaurantes were not good. The restaurante O cinco is really overrated. We had the worst ever steaks there.

Reviewed Nov 30, 2025Located just next to the ferry so convenient if you have to travel to or from Faial. There is no breakfast but they offer fresh pasties in the morning and coffee and tea. You have as well access to the shared kitchen and some tea and coffee facilities in the room. There is as well a shared fridge which you can keep your stuff in. Very nice and helpful hosts. Access to the place was by the code which is communicated to you before arrival.

Reviewed Nov 30, 2025Top Lage, nah am Fähranleger, kurzer Weg zum Supermarkt, Meerblick. Schönes Ambiente, toller Blick. Kaffee und Brot for free. Konnte mein Gepäck noch kurz zwiachenlagern, bevor ich Pico verlassen habe.
Hatte ein Zimmer im unteren Geschoss, es roch leider etwas seltsam.
