The staff were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable would highly recommend staying here

The only thing I could complain about is we couldn't stay longer

This is a family run Hotel offering multiple services accommodation food and bar Plenty of parking within close proximity of the airport and the NEC easy access to public bus service within walking distance The Manager was friendly offering advice and guidance on the best venues for eating out as well as offering a range of breakfast and evening meal options on the premises

Nice friendly place to stay, it was ideal for us as it's only minutes from the NEC and we were going to BBC Gardeners World Live. It's also well located for Birmingham Airport which is just behind the hotel, I can honestly say that although the airport had quite a few arrivals and departures whilst we were staying there was no problem with aircraft noise even sitting out in the garden having a drink.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. Nigel as always was really friendly and is brilliant at recommending nearby eateries. The hotel is very close to the NEC. The breakfast is always good.

Although the hotel is very near the airport, it is nice and quiet. The en-suite shower is extremely small and a little claustrophobic. We have stayed in other rooms and they are a bit roomier.

Breakfast was great, really good service by all the staff. Ideally located by the airport and just off the main road.

Room was very small, it was for 1 person and it wasn't a problem really, but it was a surprise to be honest

Hotel manager and staff were very friendly, had good conversations with them in evening and at breakfast - they provided a very home-away-from-home environment. Location was excellent for NEC, both for driving there and access to bus to NEC (and airport and train station).

Double room I was given was fine for just me, but felt like it would be quite cramped for two people.

We stayed at the Tri-Star hotel, whilst attending a trade show at the NEC. The location was perfect (only a 5 min drive to the NEC) We had parking booked for the NEC, but understand there is a shuttle bus you can take from the hotel as well. Nigel the owner was extremely helpful, suggesting places for dinner and ways to make our stay more effective. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was delicious The hotel is very close to the airport (you can see the planes on the runway from the bedroom window), however you could hardly hear any noise as the window was very well sound proofed. Would recommend this hotel as a great base for airport, NEC or even visiting Birmingham city centre - we would stay again!

This is really a perfect alternative to the corporates, literally across the road. Its a cracking location, run by Nigel and his fabulous team. Its spotless, comfortable, breakfast is superb and great value for money.

Friendly and amenable staff catered to our needs, rooms comfortable great shower small bathroom but functional.

The hotel is well located for NEC, and the host was very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.

We found there to be a lack of power points in the room.

We had a great stay at the hotel! Nigel was incredibly kind and helpful, he gave us directions to the city and assisted us with everything we needed. The breakfast was also excellent and very flexible with timing, which made our mornings much easier. Although the hotel is outside the airport, it's very close to the city centre. You can easily get there with just one bus, the X1, which only takes about 25 minutes and runs 24 hours a day. Super convenient and a great location overall. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Really attentive and friendly staff - Nigel was great and looked after our group well. Food was lovely and breakfast was quick, fresh and really tasty! Rooms weren't massive, but were nice & clean and had everything you needed.

A comfortable night's stay in this small family-run hotel with tea/coffee facilities, and onsite bar and restaurant. Owner Nigel welcomed us and booked our early morning taxi to airport. Price includes breakfast but we had to leave b4 service began. Nigel offered cold options but we declined. He later served us a delicious evening meal cooked by lovely Jane of zingy, fresh prawn cocktail with lots of large prawns, and surloin steak; husband had tomato soup and an omelette. Mains came with the best chips we've ever had, and Nigel sources his meat from a local butcher. We had rm no.6 just off dining rm but very quiet and private. You couldn't wish to meet nicer, friendlier people, and we will definitely stay again when using BHX.

We thought hotel was walking distance to/from airport but it's a 10-min bus or taxi ride away. Taxi from was £16 (we did a Jet2 Twilight check-in), and taxi to was £12.50. As others hv said, shower area is small and electric so not much hot water!

We were very warmly welcomed by Nigel, we enjoyed pur stay at the hotel very much.

Owner was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

More vegetarian/vegan options on menu would be nice.
