Très bel endroit pour passer un séjour paisible et relaxant. L'établissement propose beaucoup d'activités de loisir. La cuisine proposée est délicieuse. Le personnel est serviable et très à l'écoute.

Le service de laverie est un peu cher

Le logement, la piscine, le principe

C’est assez isolé. De ce fait vous ne pouvez consommer que dans le complexe. Mais c’est pour une bonne cause. En venant ici il faut en être conscient. Seul vrai bémol, le restaurant (bistro) est bon mais très cher pour les petites quantités servies.

Tolles einzigartiges Konzept von einer Schweizer NGO geführt: Komplette Selbstversorgung mit Schule für 500 Schüler und Unterstützung und Arbeitgeber, Ausbildungwerkstätten für die Kambodschanische Bevölkerung aus der näheren Umgebung , Sehr schöne weitläufige Anlage inmitten von Palmen. Gemütliche Kmer-Stil-Bungalows mit riesigem Bad. Highlight ist das Bett (natürlich mit Moskito-Netz) im komplett offen gestalteten Parterre, siehe Bilder. Haben allerdings immer im 1. Stock drinnen geschlafen. Großzügig offen gestaltetes Restaurant, sehr gutes Essen, gutes Frühstücks-Buffet. 2 große Pools, haben überwiegend den Pool am Spa genutzt ...Adults only ;))

I loved every aspect of this resort. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the hot water was perfect. The staff provided outstanding customer service, always friendly and attentive. The spa was wonderfully relaxing and Lin is truly the best masseuse! The restaurant served fresh, delicious food, especially the Khmer vegetable curry, which was amazing. I came hoping to enjoy my stay but it far exceeded all my expectations. I would definitely return!

The projects they do and providing work and education to the locals. The restaurant, staff, pool, and room were outstanding. Loved the vitaparcour, even if it was a bit too hot to properly work through it.

Bel environnement, chambre, vaste et agréable.

Une ambiance factice dès l’accueil Une musique d’ascenseur diffusée partout. Difficile d’entendre le son des oiseaux. Nous nous attendions à un endroit calme ce n’est pas vraiment le cas, la restauration est ordinaire. Le restaurant pour « tous » manque de chaleur ( éclairage trop fort) Nous avons modérément apprécié la « visite » de la ferme et le discours « bienveillant » qui nous est servi dès l’arrivée Dans cet hôtel l’on se sent complètement en décalage avec le reste du pays, dommage !

Large room and terrace, the best swimming pool

In huge bathroom there is toilet in the middle without any partition, so to spend bath rituals was not so comfortable for three of us. I don’t like when housekeeping and room service came barefoot to the room, but such problem all over the country. Very poor English speaking and sad wine list. My 10-year-old child and I were not allowed into a fine dining restaurant for dinner, even though there was only one table occupied, because it was for adults only.

The social element of this hotel which is a NGO supporting the local community. Beautiful large age heated pool. Interesting Khmer architecture of the bungalows

The fact that young toddlers aren’t allowed at the fine dining restaurant. The restaurant was empty when we were there so it would have been nice to make an exception. Driver was 30mn late to pick us up at our hotel.

The mission of the space is incredible. They fund a school for local children, and wish to expand it into a university. The food is also farm fresh, from farm to table. Try the cuurries - they're divine (as well as the spring rolls!). I enjoyed the adult-only pool, with a bar for virgin cocktals and lounge chairs for naps.

I do wish menus at the restaurant were more available. They do send you a virtual version through your phone, to be fair, but I'm a leave-my-phone-in-the-hotel-room kinda guy. I do also wish the rooms had more natural light. However, this is all trivial. The property is immaculate, and the staff is kind.

J’ai réglé une partie en carte bleue et l’autre partie en cash pour avoir un peu de monnaie pour la suite du voyage. Malheureusement, il m’a été remis rendu 2 billets de 20 $ qu’aucun commerçant ou autre hôtel ne veulent prendre à cause d’un marquage au feutre sur le billet :-(

Der Auslöser für unseren Besuch war das Smiling Gecko Projekt, welches wir nun noch spannender finden, der Besuch lohnt sich aber nicht nur wegen dem Projekt. Die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig, die Pools laden zum erholen ein und dank den Fahrrädern, dem Gym und dem Vitaparcours kommen auch sportliche Aktivitäten nicht zu kurz. Kulinarisch wurden wir vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen verwöhnt (das Finedining ist top!). Weiter waren auch die Führung über die Farm, in der Schule und von Mariya in der Küche Highlights! Zudem hatten wir das Glück, gleich bei der Ankunft ein Konzert von den begabten Gong Talents im the Gong geniessen zu dürfen (Empfehlung: Program vorgängig prüfen) Der Besuch hat uns so gefallen, dass wir kurzerhand unsere Reise etwas angepasst haben, um erneut in das Smiling Gecko Farmhouse zurückzukehren - wir freuen uns jetzt schon wieder!:-)

It was all good

Our third visit to The Farmhouse. This is one of our favorite retreats in the world! Beautiful rooms, surrounds and people. And knowing that our monies spent are used for the local school and people makes the experience so much more rewarding. We love The Farmhouse!

Superbe !

We were in Cambodia on a humanitarian mission and stayed for one night as a treat to ourselves since we were debating to head on to Pursat or not due to the conflict with Thailand. Happy that we decided against going and enjoyed our stay instead. We got so much inspirations from the farm tour and hope to emulate some aspects when we help develop and set up schools in other areas of Cambodia. The whole team was absolutely lovely. The ground was beautiful and peaceful which is such a contradiction to the chaos and possible war with Thailand that was taking place not so far away. Pray that it won't come it and nothing destroy this serenity.

Stay was good. Nice place. Had a problem with toilet kept refilling all night repeatly, so it kept waking me up. Othwrwisw things were good. Explained problem and they did apologize.

The grounds on which farmhouse is are truly beautiful, the pool is fantastic, and the best part is the walk you can do around the grounds, so refreshing coming from Phnom Penh where it's so hard to go for a walk in the green.

The place is overall too expensive for what is offered. We found the room and the food too overpriced. The breakfast buffet is okay, but could be much better with more options and better presentation.

It is remote but everything you need is there. The staff were wonderful, and we must have hit a quiet time as we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Very relaxing and a good stopping point on the way from Phnom Penh to Battambang. The hotel picked us up from our hotel in Phnom Penh which made the trip into the countryside easy. They also arranged our onward transport to Battambang. Nothing was too much trouble. The support this hotel and complex provides to the local community is to be commended. Excellent bathroom.

We stayed in bungalow with a high ceiling and the air conditioning struggled a bit, but this was not a major issue.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful resort, beautiful rooms, beautiful pools. The food was amazing, if you want to spoil yourself, a dinner at UN restaurant is absolutely amazing (not open everyday). The farm tour is great and the project itself is so great and admirable. I wish there were more places like this! Last but not least, staff is amazing and so so friendly. Really loved it here.

If Angkor Wat is a must visit tourist attraction to understand Cambodian history, Farmhouse Resort of Smiling Gecko is a must visit resort to relax, rejuvenate and to understand Cambodian culture and sadly its impoverished communities. By visiting and staying, not only you will be doing yourself a great favor by benefiting from its amazing and friendly Cambodian hospitality but you will play a role in helping Smiling Gecko to achieve its greater vision of offering a promising and sustainable education and future to those in needs.

The mattress was a bit on the hard side.

The pool is fantastic (small detail really but it's nice to have a deep end 3m at a resort hotel). The spa treatments were 5 star & and a the food was exceptional.

While the pool bar staff were very friendly and proficient in cocktail making, they could have approached us to see if we needed anything during long stints at the pool.
