Wspaniale miejsce i ludzie .

Cesar was an excellent and very knowledgeable host, this was a very relaxed place to stay. The location and views were beautiful but also not far from Régua. We especially enjoyed the tour of the vineyards and winery, followed by tasting the award winning ports and wines produced there. This is a great place to see independent, traditional wine making in comparison to some of the larger more commercial quintas in the area.
You need to book dinner in advance if you want to have it at the Quinta (anything else you need to drive to), there was no dinner available for smaller groups without pre-booking. However the light supper of charcuterie and cheese was very good.

Cesar was very welcoming and Jose was very entertaining at the tour, dinner and degustation. Cesar really invites people into his home and you can feel that it is a family estate. Even the doggies are lovely - Jackie and Oscar - they accompanied (and even guided) us when we took a walk around the vineyard. Rooms are soo atmospheric! Views mesmerizing wherever you look and you just know how much hard work has been put into the vineyard through decades. Food and wine are delicious. We consider our visit there the highlight of our vacation in Portugal. 11/10! Highly recommend!
Taxis are a challenge to find, dont rely on bolt. But the staff is helpful with that.
Lovely Hospitality, great views
Amabilidad. Buen desayuno. Precio excesivo. Vistas
Señal de wifi nula. Habitación demasiado rústica. Precio excesivo.
breakfast was superb and the views are spectacular. The owner, Cesar, was a lovely gentleman, who told us all about the history of the Quinta.
Everything was perfect.
The location of the quinta is exceptional. Quiet and quaint with the view of douro river and vast view of the numerous vineyards. Breakfast has wonderful assortment of cheese, ham, homemade jam and amazing breads.
The host was lovely, the location was a short drive to museums and grocery store, the view from the vineyard was beautiful and the breakfast was simple but good.
The free Wifi was not working at all. There was no proper hand soap but just a thin leftover soap in the dish.

The owner, Caesar, could not have been more hospitable and welcoming. The kitchen staff and the sommelier were also warm and accommodating. During the wine/port tasing, Caesar generously offered a few different vintages to highlight the differences. The tour of the fields was short because we got a late start and it was HOT--so that was actually great. The rest of the tour was thorough. The room for meals was spacious with huge windows and amazing views of the Douro valley and adjacent vineyards! Our room was lovely, comfy bed, a nice bathroom, and SO peaceful with its own view across the valley.
nothing! One hint though, when heading east on N222, Google Maps will say "You've arrived" when you are at an unmarked (and wrong) driveway. Keep going to the well marked entrance.
Beautiful property by Douro River, owned and run by a sweet retired chem professor, Caesar. The two bedroom chalet was perfect for our family of 4. We booked the Experience #6, “Visit to the Estate, Wine Tasting, & Special Dinner.” The food and wine were phenomenal and the stories Caesar shared gave us a lot of insight to the politics of wine in Douro Valley, Portugal, and the EU.
Hubby got a little hangry as Caesar’s stories got a little long and dinner was delayed. Might want to have a light snack before the Estate Tour.
The host, Cesar, was a great host. He gave advice on the drive, dinner in town and was just a very pleasant person with whom to deal. He met us at the car and assisted in our getting our luggage up to the Quinta, since I have a knee problem and it is somewhat difficult to not only make it up the rocky path but to pull a suitcase at the same time. The view from the Terrance is extraordinary of the Douro valley and the river.
The only problem with this location is the fact it is located on the side of the river gorge so everything is uphill. This is a problem for one slightly handicapped as am I. It is fine so long as one takes their time in making it up.
We felt right at home at Quint de Marrocos. The owner, Cesar was a fabulous host as was the wine maker, Jose.
Excellent ambiance and location. The host was delightful.
Felicitats!
It is really authentic house of wine with amazing views to douro valley. The owner himself led an amazing house tour with wine tasting. It was really cosy, authentic and warm experience. We could not hope for anything better.
Great location. Very good Breakfast. Friendly people
Nothing
Do Dr. César, o proprietário. A localização é linda, as margens do Douro.
Ameaazing location WOW beautiful views and host ceasar!
Nothing exceeded our hopes and dreams
Small winery with comfy.rooms. Great staff at location close to Regua
Beautiful vineyard and warm welcome
Perfect location best views in the douro everything was perfect

Staff was very friendly and the views of the valley are magnificent. Wonderful breakfast!
Beautiful location and just off the main road, so easy to get to. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The property was gorgeous- great views and a beautiful old quinta in the valley. The host was wonderful- very accommodating and helpful. The location to the train station was good, check in was easy.
Localização e simpatia de funcionarios.
Pequeno almoço com pouca escolha.
It was quaint and a lovely view from the terrace. The host Cesar Sequeira was very charming and very nice and hospitable. The winery tour and tasting was interesting. It was good that the dinner included the wines also and the host sat with us to have a bottle of Port after dinner with the various other guests also in the lounge room where we chatted together for a couple of hours. All the wine was also very good.
There was a dripping cistern in the bathroom which was a bit annoying to hear during the night but we managed. The pork dish served for dinner was almost inedible with too much salt and the clams were so overcooked they were shrivelled and dry.
It felt like we were staying with family. Very attentive to every detail. Asked multiple times if we needed anything. Packed us sandwiches to go. They genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay.Cesar, Ana, Cecilia and Joseph were fantastic! We felt like we made new friends! Food and wine were fabulous.
I loved everything about the property!
Beautiful location. The view alone worth a stay. Cute little houses. Lovely owner Cesar.
Blankets available but not obvious. We and others had cold first nights. Be sure to ask.
Beautiful location overlooking the river. We really enjoyed the estate tour.
I cannot say enough good things about this stay. The view was amazing and we were treated very much like family. Jose who checked us in and gave us our tour and wine tasting was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to meet and converse with the owner, Cesar, who clearly loves people and sharing his vineyard. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. We only stayed one night, but I would have liked to have had at least one more night.
I loved everything about this stay.
We had a outdoor sitting area overlooking the river during our stay which we all loved. The rooms were very comfortable. We also got to spend time with the owner, Cesar, who was so generous and kind. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Nothing
The owner is authentic and explains you all you want to know! The Quinta produces port and wine that you can taste and hosts visists in different languages like F or UK
Walking to the village is not really recommended unless you like adventure (on the busy street) agreeing to a voucher to come back the 2 km by taxi, would a genius marketing!
Belle construction d’origine.
Lovely historic Quinta, beautiful property offering wine tastings and tours.
Quinta de Marrocos is a special place in the Douro, we have stayed here before and will stay again. You know you are staying with family. The breakfasts are great, the accommodations are comfortable. We also did the tour, and dinner which is excellent. We enjoyed some very fine port wine in the living room with César following the dinner and talked with other guests into the night. It is always a wonderful experience at Quinta de Marrocos, we are always sad to leave.
There is nothing we didn’t like. It is an old building that is constantly maintained, be aware that the washroom is small, some rooms might be smaller. But everything functions well and is comfortable.
The service
Location was amazing. We had the entire house to ourselves (with a host) and were treated like family. We also signed up for the dinner and farm tour which were excellent.
Beautiful location. Very nice and clean rooms. Anna was a wonderful hostess. Caesar treated us like royalty, and provided historical information of his family’s vineyards.
The views were amazing, the port delicious, and the vineyard really fun to explore. It felt special to be at a Portuguese family-owned Quinta and learn about the customs and culture from locals. Arriving on a Sunday, they were very understaffed, so our tour felt rushed, and our room wasn't ready but that just helped us to enjoy the gorgeous view a bit more.
They had dogs at the quinta that literally barked every hour of the night. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep because of this, and it ruined the relaxing vibe of the whole place. It was strange because they didn't bark during the day but did all night. If you are a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend staying here - earplugs didn't help.
Godt utgangspunkt for ekspedisjoner i Douro-dalen.
It was a working winery with option for dinner and breakfast was included.
The property is wonderful, with great views. We were able to roam through the property, and pick fresh oranges from their trees and made new furry friends with the farm dogs, Jackie and Oscar. And their wine is very good! Breakfast was includd and plenty of options, including fresh squeezed orange juice from their orange trees. We booked the dinner tasting our first night's stay and it was all fantastic, same for the lunch and tour we had the following day. The food was terrific, the wines paired with the meals were perfect and the service was phenomenal. Lots of history with this vineyard. Cesar, the owner, was on site, along with Andre a staff member- they were both so friendly and made sure we were comfortable the entire stay. If we end up visiting the Douro Valley again, I would certainly stay here again!
No fault of the Quinta, 1 bathroom for 4 people was tough at the chalet guest house- next time I would book 2 separate rooms in their main guest house as their other guest rooms have their own private bathrooms
Cesar was an excellent host, ensuring all of our needs were well taken care of. He gave us a detailed tour and explanation of the port/wine making processes. Port was yummy! We bought a half of case of the 10-year white. The vineyards were beautiful to explore. The location was great, along with a lovely view of the Douro Valley.
Apple maps sent us awry and the entrance to the Quinta is at the back of the buildings so it doesn't feel like an actual entrance, leading us to drive around for quite awhile before finding it.
Beautiful commendations the place was so charming, loaded with antiques. We had a most wonderful time. the staff and the owner were wonderful and attended to all our needs! Wine and Port from the estate is also pretty awesome.
We are unable to think of any negatives during our stay other then it was to short.
This is a unique stay in the family quinta of Jorge Sequeira who is a most gracious host. All of his staff including Diana were friendly and helpful. Do plan to spend some time by the fireplace in the big communal living room and definitely bring your appetite and make a reservation for a cuzhina tradicional dinner. And if you have somehow managed to not see your share of winery tours in the Douro Valley, they will be happy to give you a tour of theirs.
Everything about our experience was authentic and pure! We had the most pleasant time enjoying the Morrocos Vineyard & Winery! Cesar, the owner, was such a delight and his wines are the best we tasted in Portugal! We hope to one day return to this slice of heaven!
