Stedet er ikke så velegnet for dårligt gående, men det er nemt at få fat i en taxa, og prisen er rimelig.

Absolutely beautiful home and grounds only a few min walk to restaurants. Exterior bungalow room we stayed in was great with every amenity and roomy bathroom. Very well decorated and furnished. Stunning views and gorgeous pool area. Owner was super accommodating as we arrived early . Secure , safe parking inside gate. Breakfast was great and plentiful with the best eggs we've had on our trip!

Lovely room overlooking the river! Short walk to train station—uphill if you have mobility issues you may consider taxi. Breakfast was delicious! Staff was so helpful and went out of their way to assist!

If you are touring the Douro Valley - and need accommodation look no further. Walking distance from Régua but Casa de Sao Domingos is a beautiful gated oasis. Lovely gardens, a pool & views over the hills. Our room was very comfortable, superb breakfast in the beautiful main house and a friendly welcome. Highly recommended

Absolutely nothing

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel on a hill overlooking the Douro Valley. Manuel, the owner and host could not have been gracious, welcoming and caring. Their honor “bar” by the pool had water, beer, wine and sodas available anytime.

We were fortunate to have an outside room, one of 4 units adjacent to the main house. I don’t know what those rooms were like.

Alles war genau so wie beschrieben. Ein sehr schönes Haus mit Garten und Pool. Es hat sich eher so angefühlt bei Familie zu Gast zu sein und weniger in einem Apartment zu schlafen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend, die Zimmer konfortabel und die Betten bequem. Alles war sehr sauber.

Very good exterior place, they have a jacuzzi and a pool. The house is older but kept very well in maintenance and it matches the vibe of the trip. The breakfast was very good also, they had organic honey.

Unser Zimmer war sehr schön mit Terrasse und mit einem sehr komfortablen großen Bad. Das Frühstück war umfangreich. Der Außenbereich mit dem Pool ist sehr schön gestaltet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt.

So nice and cosy place run by very kind owner. Room was ready before official check in and we could charge our car immediately after arrival. Room and area were clean and the location is amazing!

Uma casa muito linda com a vista fantástica sobre o Douro. Silenciosa e perto de tudo. Tem uma piscina grande com área de lazer cuidada e cheia de flores, de uma fragância máguca. Os quartos são decorados com muito gosto. O pequeno almoço tem muitas opções, destaca-se pela qualidade dos produtos e é servido numa lindíssima sala. O estacionaménto seguro, situa-se dentro da propriedade. Foi a minha segunda visita, mas, de certeza, não será última.

The location is convenient to reach by car, close to avenues and access to roads. The breakfast was good; no other meals were available. The pool and deck were nice to rest, but the water was cold.

The umbrellas by the pool need replacing as they looked weathered and not sturdy but they do provide much needed shade

Nothing apart from steep walk down to town and back but saved time.

This is a perfectly good B & B but it is not a hotel so there is a need to manage one's expectations. The owner, Manuel, and his team were all very helpful and there are are 4 very nice cats in residence. The pool area and gardens are immaculate as is everything else. The breakfast offering was limited and we understand that - but why was it impossible to have a boiled egg?

Die Lage hat uns enttäuscht, die Aussicht war der Grund für die Buchung aber man sieht eine große Autobrücke (Schnellstraße) , Hochspannungsleitungen, hohe Häuser und wenig vom Fluss; andere Stellen im Duerotal haben viel bessere Aussicht

Gorgeous property! Very easy drive from the train station although you do need to taxi around but there affordable and if you get one’s number they’ll cater to you during your stay. The rooms were adorable and very clean, comfortable beds! Amazing breakfast and the pool and grounds couldn’t be beat!

Csodálatos külső környezet, parkosított, medencés kert díszmadarakkal, otthonos, tiszta, elegáns belső terek, kedves házi kedvencekkel. A reggeli tökéletes, nagy választékkal, megfelelő minőségben. Végtelenül segítőkész személyzet.

Minden tökéletes volt, a szobához tartozó nagy fedett terasz különösen tetszett.

This is a beautiful and charming boutique hotel. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous, the pool is very nice, parking is super easy right in the grounds and the breakfast was amazing. I definitely recommend this accommodation.

Sonia at breakfast is a gem, so lovely and friendly. Port wine welcome drink is a great touch and Miguel available if needed. Stunning location.

I wish we would stay in this guesthouse longer..The beautiful house is full of character, history and class, surrounded by orange trees and well manicured gardens. The view of the river and valley from the balcony ( room 6A) was stunning. It's in walking distance to the town, pedestrian bridge , museum and restaurants. The service couldn't be better. Manuel not just greeted us well, he even took us to the train station early in the morning because of the transport strike and prepared pack breakfast for us.. Top class host. Would recommend Casa de Sao Domingos 100% !

The property is once again a gem! Hidden behind secure gates is a beautiful home with just a handful of rooms! It has the Portugese charm with modern amenities and a very nice breakfast! Welcome was warm and staff very friendly! Bonus was that we could get our cycling laundry done (which they normally don’t have time for) for a small price! The casa has access to a set of (steep) stairs into Peso da Régua.

Not a negative but keep in mind they don’t serve lunch or dinner but there are plenty of great options!

This guesthouse is in a great location, above the bridges but only 10 minutes walk from restaurants. The terraces and pool are very peaceful. Manuel and his team were so helpful with advice, bookings, taxis etc. We had a very relaxing stay.

This property was as good as the pictures and reviews on Booking.com suggested it would be. The secure parking behind the electric gates made it just what we were looking for. The owner was also really helpful in recommending a vineyard tour and booking it for us.

Hard to walk uphill back from town center, but that is my problem.

The best rooms are the ones by the pool; I would highly recommend booking one of them. We had one and it was quiet with an excellent views with chairs and a table to sit out. The hotel also did our laundry for a very reasonable fee. Nice place to stay and explore the Douro Valley.

Breakfast could have had more variety, but it was plentiful and good.

Endroit calme, une vue magnifique, bon petit déjeuner et la proximité de la ville qui se fait facilement à pieds. Il faut juste un peu de forme physique, car il faut remonter pour revenir à l hôtel.

Bed too high; bedding not suitable for the cold weather. Had to add a blanket that was very large and heavy to manage. No refrigerator in room. Restaurants not close. Unable to get Uber back to property. Host not available when checking out. Had to be woken up.

Fomos em uma época que a cidade de Peso da Régua estava vazia e isso acabou sendo positivo pois o hotel estava muito tranquilo o q deixou nossa experiência ainda mais exclusiva. Recomendo muito!

Hotel muito confortável e bem cuidado próximo ao centro de peso da Regua. O pessoal nos ajudou com o contato de um taxista que nos levou às vinícolas. Deixa vinho do porto como costesia a vontade para os hóspedes. Recomendo o hotel.

Não tem frigobar no quarto. O aquecedor de toalhas do banheiro estava desligado. Mas nada disso comprometeu a estadia.

A casa é linda, muito bem decorada, o quarto enorme, com vista espetacular, a limpeza do local é admirável. Café da manhã ótimo e a recepção pelo Manuel é nota 10! Foi super flexível ao nos permitir deixar o carro após o horário de check out. Voltaria sem dúvidas.

Adoramos a nossa estadia! Desde a simpatia de todo o pessoal e a sua completa disponibilidade para tudo, aos quartos e casa principal que estavam muito bem decorados, bem pensados e limpos, à piscina em perfeito estado, até à vista de cortar a respiração. O pequeno almoço estava muito bom e o estacionamento disponibilizado foi perfeito. Fomos para uma prova de ciclismo e foram muito prestáveis a dar apoio a guardar o equipamento e com a logística. Vamos regressar, sem dúvida nenhuma!

Fantastic views, warm welcome. Ideal for a wider Duoro adventure. Family run, comfortable well appointed garden room. Lovely to sit out by the pool and in the manicured gardens overlooking the valley below. Short 15 min walk to local restaurants with some good recommendations from our hosts.

We stayed here as part of a longer motorcycle trip, and this was a really enjoyable and relaxing stop. The property feels like a traditional Portuguese quinta, set within its own grounds just on the edge of town. Although it’s close to Peso da Régua, it still feels private and peaceful, with lovely views over the Douro River. The house itself has a real presence and character. It’s not overly grand, but it feels solid, well cared for and very welcoming. Everything is very well maintained, with excellent attention to detail throughout. Parking was easy and secure within the gated grounds, which was ideal for us travelling by motorcycle. The pool area is a real highlight – beautifully kept and a great place to relax. Even early in the season it was usable, and the overall setting makes it a very enjoyable space. The room was comfortable and well finished, with a sense of quality throughout. Nothing felt flimsy or overlooked. The hosts were excellent – friendly, welcoming and clearly take pride in the property. In the evening, there’s a relaxed communal feel in the main house, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide selection and the option of freshly prepared hot items, which made a great start to the day. Overall, this is a high-quality, relaxing place with excellent attendtion to detail. We would happily return.
