Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Great location, had multipul bars and able to get breakfast . Rooms was nice,
Had to ask to be moved the city view was of the air conditioner! We were moved to a so so "upper floor" next one up with handicap bathroom. The first room was tiny also little bathroom and again the terrible view. When asked to move staff was flippant and not friendly. Would not recommend to a corporate stay as they just don't go out of their way for anything.
The Armory IHG was superb. The service in the restaurant was superb. They accomodated all of our needs. I want to recognize Isabella for her advice about what to see, where to eat, and shop. Micah really went out of his way to get our order correct.
Nice clean room. Terrific staff. Fun rooftop bar. I left something in the safe and they shipped it right back to me.
This is my 3rd time here at feildinga restaurant and let me tell you it was the best service and overall experience! Our waitress Jocelyn was hands down the best waitress I have ever had! 10/10 would recommend!
Isabella at Fielding’s Restaurant was kind, attentive, and funny. She was ready with recommendations and happy to answer questions. Breakfast was well made and delicious. The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are premium. Customer service all around is top notch. Front desk worked hard to get us an early check in. Had an issue with the bathtub drain in my room and the mx engineer came up and fixed it immediately, around 9 in the evening. Rooftop bar was great, and has an amazing view. Wonderful hotel, great restaurants, and attentive staff.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The rooftop bar and restaurant is great and offers a great view of the city. It's centrally located.
Location was great! Room is very pricey but well done. Staff was great made us feel special on our anniversary!
The rate compared with other hotels in area we were willing to pay more because it was our anniversary
When we checked in they made us feel special because of our anniversary. The beds are so comfortable! Nice amenities- little basement bar is fun. I’m not sure why but the price was almost double of what it shows now/ I think there was a convention there — the only way I’d stay again is if it were closer to the $300-400 instead of $700 not worth that price
Very nice, clean, attractive hotel with close proximity to great restaurants. Jocelyn in Fieldings restaurant was great server and food was off the charts good. Had bison tenderloin and cornbread. Dilyn at Front Desk was very friendly and helpful. All the staff was top notch. 5 stars from us.
Just finished awesome breakfast and Emma our service was great ! Thanks Emma 🥰
Perfect location for a short or extended stay in the centre of Bozeman . Valet/ reception and restaurant staff all very happy, friendly and welcoming!!! Food in the Fielding restaurant was excellent. We had breakfast and lunch there . Isabella and Jess were especially welcoming and super efficient . Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel For whatever reason you stay !!!
We just finished breakfast at the Kimpton Armory Hotel and had Jessica for a waitress. She was absolutely phenomenal. Great personality, Johnny on the spot and lots of laughs. Highly recommended.
10/10 – Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman As an ocean-to-ocean runner who’s crossed thousands of miles across America and all 50 States, I’ve stayed in countless hotels, but the Kimpton Armory stands out as something special. Every detail captures authentic Bozeman spirit. The location is unbeatable—steps from Main Street’s shops, restaurants, and that classic Big Sky energy. What truly elevates this place is the hospitality. On both my 2023 and 2026 Runs through Montana, the team here generously comped me a free night, offering not just a soft bed but genuine kindness that recharged me for the miles ahead. That personal, unexpected generosity is pure Montana. If you’re heading to Bozeman for adventure, Yellowstone, or simply a downtown family outing, stay here. Ten stars without hesitation—I’ll never forget it. Thank you Cassie Herman, Ellen, and Kimpton Armory Hotel! 🇺🇸
Upscale, incredible restaurant, no-hassle pet friendly
Prima centraal gelegen hotel met ruime hotelkamers. De badkamer was oké, maar een douche gordijn past niet meer. Ontbijt was inbegrepen en a la carte, prima kwaliteit.
Well located. Friendly staff, great food
Room service and laundry services are on scheduled timings, so needs to be factored in. It’s not that I don’t “like” that but just need to be aware to plan better
A nice hotel - overall our stay was positive - valet service was a 2/10 seemed under staffed and had to wait very long times to get car - Fieldings is a decent choice for dining but not fabulous - the staff was very friendly and attentive to issues
Nice light dinner in corfortable surroundings. Service was excellent.
Nothing really
Excellent staff, hands down. The pop-up Lobby happy hour was great opp to socialize. Rooftop bar is insane at sunset and live music in the basement bar was a treat.
Super location, right in the heart of Downtown Bozeman - 1 min walk to the main drag Staff - especially all the crew in the kitchen and restaurant - superb all of them, possibly the highlight of the hotel Restaurant - tried the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner during a 1 week stay - all superb (apart from the more "healthy" options at breakfast - they couldn't seem to deliver an impressive granola and yoghurt (which just happens to be our daily go to back home), but otherwise, faultless and good value
The bed - not level (so head lower than feet) and some bright thinker, reckons putting an uncovered duvet in between 2 separate loose sheets is some form of premium sleep experience - it took minutes sometimes to untangle yourself from the sheets to get in and out - just weird, but perhaps its a North American thing? Anyway, please just give us a duvet with a proper cover on and forget the sheet sandwich please! The service charge of £200/day that we didn't get good value from Bathroom starting to show its wear Overpriced for what it is/what you get (notwithstanding its great location in a cool town)
With a lot of wedding guests arriving simultaneously, and some room trades, changes and name additions, the front desk was friendly, efficient and highly effective. Restaurant service was quick terrific, and again all was timely and food very good. Clean room with all amenities. This is a very well-run hotel!
Nice hotel in the center of Bozeman with easy walking distance to restaurants. While we didn't use the rooftop pool, it was nice up there. The only issue with is was the lack of seating. The pool capacity is 21 but there was only seating for half that many people. Maybe substituting smaller (not heavy wood) furniture would allow for more seats. They also offer a wine and beer social hour at 5PM each night and have loaner bicycles for guests to use. Great choices for breakfast. The biggest negative was the bed. The bed was very soft but what made it more uncomfortable was that they use king size flat sheets in place of a fitted bottom sheet on a king size bed. The sheets would come untucked during the night and bunch up under you while sleeping. And lastly, I wish they would take up a popular room servicing plan where if you leave your towels hanging up, they won't be changed out. Only if they are left on the floor will you get new ones. That would certainly save the hotel work and be more energy conscious.
Location and general feel
No
Centrally located,
we asked for the sheets to be changed after finding hair in it. Couldn’t open windows as they forgot to put back levers (though the maintenance personnel was really kind). I asked for a package to be held and they didn’t. It was hundreds of dollars in shipping gone, and they never explained or apologized even though they had written they would hold it for me.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Kimpton Armory Bozeman for two nights. Per usual with Kimpton, the hotel is stylish. It has comfortable rooms, beautiful views, a rooftop pool and bar, a nightly hosted social hour as well as a basement lounge with great live music. We enjoyed local musicians both nights we were there and had a delicious breakfast both mornings too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and did a great job of recognizing IHG status and providing amenities. Bozeman hotel prices are high and the Armory is no exception. The value lies in the quality and amenities of the hotel. This is not a basic, no-frills kind of hotel, nor a hip remodeled motel type of place. It is elegant but fun with lots of extras. Highly recommend!
Staff at front desk and roof top were not pleasant. The room rate was way over blown for the small room. Literally ridiculous. The pool was closed because there was not supervision provided and small children pooped in the pool. They also CHARGE you an extra $100 over your reserved room rate and claim they will give it back. They 'justify' this because somehow their computer system can't track room/restaurant charges???? This is first hotel ever to say this. Really in 2026? The computer can't track this. Many hotels can charge this but NEVER has one not refunded this?
Great hotel. Thank you to the super friendly staff. Especially Isabella!
very average hotel .room was big king studio but no closet space no robe no sleepers mattress to soft to my taste and i don't like firm mattress so 5 star hotel and no cleaning room service so only upon request no one told us that when we checked in so my review is terrible overpriced hotel .... Breakfast was very good other then that i recommend maybe staying in hotel like AC Marriott at least they advertise 3 star
Went to fielding for breakfast, atmosphere is amazing! Jason, Sierra & Joselyn and the stuff are AMAZING !!! Brisket Bennys are amazing, poached egg fried in Tempura is unreal! Breakfast specials out of the world with the Steak Chiquiles and Strawberry Shortcake Waffle! Will be back, thank you for everything!
Overall we had a great stay. The staff was for the most part exceptionally courteous and professional and the location couldn't have been better with restaurants and shops literally around the corner (and even across the street). Although the room wasn't anything special and the bed a little too soft for my liking, it was up-to-date and kept spotless during our stay. Our only disappointment was the "mountain view" room we upgraded to which was in actuality a room on the sixth floor which enabled us to see the mountains in the distance rather than the mid-rise building across the street. We realized that they couldn't move the mountains closer, but the discription on their website - although acurate - did seem to be a little exagerated. Next, we tried to take in the view from the rooftop bar, but they were setting up for a private function scheduled for that evening and the manager refused (through the hostess after she had said, "sure") to let us even walk out on the deck before ordering our drinks at the bar. It was several hours before the event (3:30 in the afternoon) and all we wanted was to check out the view the hotel had promised us before ordering our drinks, but it was too big an ask and we were uncerimoniously escorted back inside. Its unfortunate that many hotel managers probably haven't had the opportunity to stay as a guest at a truly great hotel and learn that outstanding guest service sometimes means listening to their small requests and stretching a bit, but that's the kind of attention that earns the extra star.
Great location in the heart of Bozeman. NIce hotel with clean, spacious rooms. Would stay here again.
All good
We stayed here the night before flying out after spending a week at Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. I luxury and great service was welcome after a busy week in the parks. The service at Kimpton properties is always top notch, and this stay was no exception. The location was great, right off Main Street with lots of shopping and dining options. The room was clean, roomy, quiet and well decorated. My only complaint was that there was no help with luggage when we arrived and the front entrance is not at street level, so we hd a lot of luggage we had schlep up the stairs to get into the hotel. That is not what you would expect from Kimpton. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.
Very clean, staff friendly, got me my extra pillow!
All good
Amazing checkin experience with Eric. Facility is 5 star with polite and professional staff. The room is very nice. Will return with family A+++
Really wanted to love it but didn’t. First night, had to call front desk to get my shower to work. Someone turned it so tightly off I couldn’t move it. Then the elevators went down. Then I tried to use my key to go to the top floor my last day only to find out I wasn’t able to (I hadn’t even checked out yet). Long story short. It’s over priced for what you get. Would not go back with everything that happened don’t trust I’d get what I paid for.
So overall it's a good hotel, but it is very over-priced for what you get. And it doesn't seem up to the Kimpton-level of decor. Once you get inside your room - it's a newer Holiday Inn design, furnishings, limens and towels. Every other Kimpton I have stayed in has had cool design elements and top-quality materials, but at this Kimpton those were just average. The top-level bar and restaurant are nice and have good views, but there were dead plants needing to be trimmed in the planters and some of the benches were filled with construction materials for some project. The fridge is pre-stocked, which left little room for my things. Although I consumed nothing from the fridge, there was a charge (removed) for having taken something from the fridge. I was never able to change the thermostat from Cool to Heat and the thermostat has a VERY bright light. Good Things - All of the staff were great and friendly, from the Hotel Manager to the server on the roof-top bar. There was an amenity plate of fruit and cookies in the room. The location is great for wandering around downtown Bozeman. There is no on-site parking and it is a $50 fine for leaving your vehicle on the street overnight (my bad for missing one of four city parking signs.) I might stay here again, but there are other downtown hotels that don't charge a Kimpton premium.
I spent two nights at the Amory Kimpton. There is much to like about this hotel. It is a beautiful and architecturally interesting hotel in a great location - just a block from the main street. It has a lovely rooftop pool, and the speakeasy in the basement features great life music. The room was nice and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. My room came with breakfast, and the food was great. But it does not get 5 stars for two big reasons. First, the housekeeping was awful, and this extended to all 3 rooms my group occupied. I don't think you could really describe it as housekeeping. The covers were pulled up haphazardly on the bed as opposed to "making the bed". Dirty glasses were left in the room, and not replaced with clean glasses. They did have Nespresso maker in the room which I love, but every day I had to call down and ask for more capsules, as they did not service the coffee bar. On the final day they just informed me that they had run out of coffee (weird - as there are plenty of stores in the area, and they could have sent somebody to buy more). Perhaps they are having staffing issues? The other issue were the elevators. On the day I arrived one broke down, and was out of service for my entire stay. Not sure what their options are (I would have paid overtime to get it working if I was management and that was possible), but given the popularity of the place it was a big problem. Huge lines of people were gathered around the elevators, and it could take a long time to get to your room. This hotel has the potential to be great, and I think it would be if the above issues are addressed.
The old National Guard Armory has been repurposed to a 5-star hotel. It lives up to the Kimpton reputation for comfort and spaciousness. Airport shuttle.
Great location
The rooftop bar was shut down for private event
Everything
Nothing
friendly staff great food and drinks location and cleanliness
NA
The beds were very comfortable. The rooftop bar was nice and accommodating. Hotel staff was friendly and the location was perfectly situated close to restaurants and shopping. Free neighborhood parking a street away was very easy each day.
We asked for a room higher up to get away from noise and we were put right over the dumpster location where we were awakened on two mornings to the loud noise of garbage service very early. The breakfast was definitely sub-par and not cooked as ordered.
The hotel and location were incredible. It was an easy walk to all of the incredible local businesses around the corner. We loved the complimentary drinks from 5-6pm. The views from the rooftop and the live music were awesome.
You are pretty much forced to Valet park for $45 a day though. Although the staff was incredibly responsive to our needs we did have to ask for more coffee each day, even after having our room cleaned.
Great location. Lovely staff and clean, nicely appointed public areas. Great roof top bar with wonderful service. The roof top pool is lovely. I was sorry i didnt have a swimsuit to enjoy it. #320 is a terrible room. While clean with a great bed, I felt as if I was in a bat cave, dark, some tiny corner window that just looked out at another hotel and the Armory roof top. Each night around 4:30 am, I was awakened by some humming noise and remained awake till morning. I should have requested a move but we were off and touring by 8:30 am. Upon my return, sometime after 2:30, the room had yet to be serviced. Saw maids at the room next door so I left for another hour but upon return still no service. Called and WAITED. Ultimately had to settle for some clean towels to prepare for the evening out. For the price, I was disappointed.
The bartender at fieldings, Geoff was exceptional. Knew the balance of entertaining and not being intrusive. Friendly, attentive, and respectful!
Great place to stay in Bozeman near all the shops. Hotel with character and history. Very comfortable and elegant decor. Just perfect for a visit on the way to Yellowstone
We stayed at the Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman for a weekend trip to Bozeman and Yellowstone, and it ended up being the perfect home base for the trip. The location couldn’t be better as it’s right in the heart of downtown Bozeman and just steps from all the cute shops and restaurants that make Bozeman so walkable and fun. Check in was friendly and informative, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The lobby felt perfectly suited to the area: cozy, warm, and charming in a distinct Bozeman way. Our room was spacious and well-appointed with thoughtful touches like locally made snacks in the minibar. For dining and drinks, the rooftop bar was a highlight, ideal for cocktails and small bites while taking in the mountain views. The heated rooftop pool shares the same stunning backdrop. Even though we never went in, we I found ourselves returning to the area just to enjoy the views - Also the lobby restaurant had amazing breakfast. The hotel’s cellar bar added another layer of personality, with live music and a lively, fun energy that made for a great evening. Throughout the stay, the staff stood out for their genuine hospitality at every turn, making it a very memorable & enjoyable stay.
Nice accommodating hotel - great service and restaurant - Italy prepares a delicious Demerara syrup for an Old Fashion drink!
We enjoyed the ambience and decor. The location was great for walking. The hotel was very pretty but our bathroom and room was disappointingly small - not enough room to open suitcases and still walk around. The bathroom was so beat up - specifically the shower , grout glass etc. the pool was pretty but very dirty and the surrounding glass wall was so filthy we couldn’t hardly see out of it to enjoy the view. We booked this hotel for the location and rooftop pool and only used it once.
See above. The tiny room for the price. The small bathroom.
….
FECAL STAINS on bed, mold in shower, damage in shower… list goes on. Staff very dismissive.
Very clean! Friendly and informative staff. Pool was great!
More options for food on premise
It was very clean, friendly staff and in a great location.
never had breakfast,, said i didnt get that
Bed was too soft?
Location is great very walkable
The bathroom is very tiny. We had looked into the Armory for our wedding room block this upcoming August and honestly so glad we decided to go with the AC. Knowing how much a room is per night in the summer I was shocked at what the rooms were like. I feel off season your rooms are very well priced however I would be pissed if I paid the amount you guys charge in the summer now seeing the hotel. I find the rooms and the AC more spacious and the bathrooms so much nicer.
Closeness to downtown
The lighting in the rooms weren’t the best
Cleaniness and rooftop pool
Parking
Being downtown made it easier for us to walk to our destinations and not use our car. I liked that there were three different bars to choose from as well as live entertainment every day.
I wish there was room service, would have made the stay ten times better.
This hotel is conveniently located near Main Street in Downtown Bozeman. We were able to walk to all of the restaurants and shoppes we wanted to go to. It was also easy for our Uber to pick us up and drop us off here, with the one way street and valet area in front of the hotel. Checking in was easy and the person working the desk was friendly and informative. The lobby was spacious and the theatre was cute. The social hour in that nicely appointed lobby was really nice and I appreciated that thoughtful touch. Our room was clean and comfortable. If I had any complaints it would be the noise of the train at all hours of the day and night, the shower leaked onto a large metal plate and was super loud and the fire alarm had an erratic green light that would randomly light up the whole room. We dined in the restaurant and drank at both bars. We really liked the roof top bar and it's firepits and views. The pool is up on this level, and while we didn't swim, it was heated and nice enough to use in the cold. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again. It would depend on the circumstance. What really got me was the late check out. They do a "first come, first serve" late checkout so you have to wake up early and call at 7am for them to give you a random time. It wasn't worth it and we ended up just hanging out at the airport for a few hours.
Everything
Bon accueil, hôtel confortable
Pas de penderie dans la chambre
No hot water- just lukewarm
We loved the wine at check in.. the pairing meal was excellent in the restaurant. The pool and hot tub was super nice and relaxing and very peaceful while it was snowing!!! Will be back in November again!
Great location and very comfortable beds. Beautiful views from the rooftop. Small rooms but nice.
Geweldige locatie en geweldige service
Van de 2 liften was er 1 in gebruik, waarschijnlijk was de 2e defect maar had gerepareerd moeten worden. De gerechten van het restaurant/bar op de 9e verdieping had beter gekund.
The room is nice. They do not have a coffee or tea machine in the room. They do have a robe and slippers. The top floor pool and fire pits are a nice touch.
Room was beautiful and the beds and pillows are amazing! Unfortunately, one elevator was inoperable most of my stay. This did cause some issues trying to exit the hotel for my meetings as i had to the stairs from the seventh floor one morning. The staff in the morning- 6-8 am really did not seem to care to accommodate simple requests. Coffee bar .. asked for half & half .. the front desk said not an option. Thankfully, a nice man was vacuuming and went to retrieve half& half. I mean at over $400 a night for the stay … asking for creamer for the coffee seems reasonable to me.
The hotel is in a great location but they had no decaf coffee in room or in the free coffee bar. There is only one sink in the bathroom as well - do good in some ways and not in others.
The best
Fun town
The roof-top bar was a cherry on top! So beautiful, staff was amazing.
Breakfast was good, but an additional charge.
Parking was not ideal as it is a little bit of a walk. Only option was valet, however, I arrived on my motorcycle so obviously valet is not an option
Great hotel, awesome staff. Had some challenges with the shower in our room dripping after it was shut off, we just dealt with it versus complaining. Front desk very helpful
Great location centrally located in the heart of the city. Dining and Entertainment were right around the corner. Staff was super friendly and willingness was there if you needed anything.
Just beware of adding unmentioned additional resort fee of $35 a night on top of $45 a night for Valet if you drive there. It’s already a pricey splurge of a stay but Booking.com or Front Desk failed to mention.
Great location
We enjoyed the delightful Armory Hotel on a recent fall weekend. The hotel is perfectly located one block from the bustling Main Street where dozens of boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee spots and many other things are located. The front desk gives you a shopping list with a discount code at check in. The front desk staff is fabulous and helpful. Check in was a breeze! Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Morning coffee service is provided in the lobby. There is a rooftop pool which includes a beautiful view of the City. Recommend including the valet parking in your reservation. Self parking appears limited. Highly recommended for your next trip to Bozeman!!
Très bien placé Confortable Très bonne nourriture
Rien
After Yellowstone, this was a welcomed luxury. Arrived for hospitality wine and room very clean and eco friendly. Sheets and bedding wonderful, black out curtains & SOUNDPROOF walls made sleep amazing!!! There is a pillow menu (yup!) and the staff is friendly and helpful. AMAZING BREAKFAST. Only con is lack of parking. My husband dislikes valet so good luck finding street parking. Lot next door allows 2 hours free parking which isn’t enough. Great walking distance to shops and restaurants.
