Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Location was great, room had easy access to the garden (for the dog) really handy and safe. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Had a good time meeting up with relatives who life in the area. Loved it
Was all good no complaints
The breakfast introduction to guests. Hilarious. It has to be exprenced.
Sorry its would take to long.
Very nice room, pleasant staff
On the day we had breakfast, it took nearly 11/2 hours to arrive
Comfortable room, good location, easy parking, friendly staff and locals
Nothing
ok simon was on his own so took a l;ittle longer
nothing
I love that this is a family run business and they work so hard. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was perfect and the shower was great. We booked a table in the pub restaurant for our evening meal. The food was really nice. Breakfast was good too. Parking was secure. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing
My room was excellent. Bed comfortable spacious room. Good bathroom. Chairs. Attractive furniture All on the level so good for those with disabilities The beer in the pub was good. The staff were friendly. The food was reasonably good pub fare
The 3 bed room was a bit cramped Breakfast was very slow to arrive
Clean and tidy room, great food and drinks, good breakfast and helpful accommodating staff
Nothing all good
the room was exsactly what we needed with walk in shower. the food was exelent worth the wait ( they had a member of staff in the kitchen go sick so delay) breakfast was plentiful. there was a good selection to suit most tastes. I found the prices a pleasant suprise coming from Kent amazingly good value
on this occastion the wait for the food maybe could have explained the reason why eariler. but as I sait these things happen and it was worth the wait
Our room was lovely and cool when we got there, and it was dog-friendly which we weren’t expecting.
The security light between the rooms switched on and off constantly all night (apparently a known problem, caused by spiders according to the manager). The walls are thin, so the tv in the room next door was blasting the BBC news channel at full volume until 2:30 in the morning (apparently caused by our tv remote control, even though our tv wasn’t on). The church (directly across the road) bells chime at 3 minutes to the hour (?) every hour day and night. Room was directly off the car park on ground floor so we couldn’t leave the windows open for any air flow. Breakfast: coffee was super strong (handy having been awake all night) cereal was in unlabelled Tupperware containers, and the toast was cold.
The cooked breakfast was a good portion and well cooked. We and our dog were both made to feel welcome. The room was very clean and tidy. We also had an evening meal with was very good. A large selection of beers.
Breakfast could have arrived quicker. Maybe a pre ordering system would have helped.
A new area for me, - the location was very good for cycling, so I'll probably return on another occasion Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. -I also ate at the pub in the evening and it was excellent.
No complaints.
The Bull was well-placed for me as I had some travelling to do around the area. I liked the fact that it is a village pub, off the main road. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good choice. I particularly like the motel-style accommodation so I could come and go without disturbing people.
I found a part-empty bottle of water by the kettle and wasn't sure if it was there to help fill the kettle or had been left by a previous guest.
Comfortable easy parking
Well located for our needs. The rooms are in a separate building from the inn, so no nighttime noise issues. A fan was provided ( we were there in the heatwave) Excellent breakfast, and we chose to eat there in the evenings too for convenience. The evening menu is compact but the quality and portions couldn’t be faulted. Friendly, welcoming, staff.
Nothing to mention.
The room was light, clean and airy. The bed was very comfortable with lovely clean white sheets. It was in a quiet location. A fan was provided.
The pub is in the process of being renovated by the tenant in order to keep a community space with a post office. This is great but, in the meantime, some of the areas, furnishings and grounds are a bit shabby and unkempt. The fridge didn't work in the room and the chairs were stained. There is a porthole window which needs a curtain or blind as the sun coming in woke us at 5am. The chef was on holiday and a cooked breakfast took 50 mins to get to us. There was no evening meal available.
The food, staff, and accommodation.
Nothing
Everything, would definitely stay again.
Nothing
Everybody was very friendly and the meals were very good.
It would have been nice to have a chair in the room
Only had a light breakfast
The room needed complete refurbishment
Great location Food in bar was excellent - big portions Good pint of Batemans too. Compact room but everything you needed was there.
Nothing to think of really
The convenience and location to where we were visiting
The management has changed and are in the process of implementing new policies, we had stayed here several times before, so we’re used to the old system.
Perfect for breaking a long journey with our dog. Lovely breakfast and large comfortable room and bed.
Poor communication regarding the opening hours for the restaurantm meant we had to drive to find an alternative place to eat.
The room was clean and spacious.
Nothing everything was wonderful.
Free parking is great and right outside, and it was a friendly welcome.
Incredibly thin curtains - meant I was woken as soon as light. Very old spring mattress - poor support and made springy noises every time I moved. No desk in room - not even a chair - so hard to work if staying on business travel. No evening food available despite it saying there would be when booked. Not a £99 stay.
Great location, lovely bar staff, food was delicious
Breakfast took 50 minutes, there was only 2 of us in the restaurant
Friendly staff, clean, functional rooms. Perfect stay.
Lovely independent rooms separate to the main building, very comfortable, warm and friendly atmosphere
The kettle in room 2 needs replacing or cleaning, our daughter only told us after our stay, 🥴
Excellent Pub Hotel de campagne. L'accueil était très amical et la cuisine excellente.
Welcomed like an old friend.
Location perfect for our needs. Breakfast adequate. Nice sausages! Serving lady very pleasant
No option for evening meal. Church bells ringing all night on the hour & squeaky bed!
Had a lovely stay at thr Bull Inn. It is a very quiet village the rooms are separate from the pub at the back. Our second visit here. Also had a lovely meal on the Saturday evening
Great location good parking except dogs. Nice bar area
No food as kitchen out of action. Although breakfast still served but limited selection. Very small single room .
Lovely old pub with accommodation in a nice village.
Nothing.
The locals were very friendly, good food great little village, quiet, great stay
Breakfast was ok
The food was fantastic both breakfast and dinner. The rooms were comfortable and quiet.
It’s a very pretty pub restaurant with rooms that are outback and on one level. And have parking for your stay
Nothing
Friendly welcome, excellent location. Stayed in the large double room which was nice and roomy. Comfy bed, peaceful night.
Lighting in bathroom
Real Ale excellently kept. Great atmosphere in bar. Made very welcome. Breakfast excellent and tailored to my dietary needs. Shower very excellent. Bed comfy. Great location
Nothing
Fantastic food, lovely staff, spotlessly clean.
Lovely, well appointed comfortable rooms. The owner and his son are very welcoming and friendly. Good choices on the menu and very reasonably priced. Delicious breakfast
Good food, great beer, accommodation comfortable. Staff accomodating
Hade trouble picking up WiFi in the room
Friendly staff lovely food
Everything worked out perfectly
Nothing
Decent shower . Landlord seemed nice and working to improve new acquisition.
Very expensive for size of room and facilities. May have been that non-dog rooms were better.
Staff were excellent and obliging. Bar very good. Room was comfortable and WiFi ok. Ample convenient parking. Breakfast was sizeable and good range of options.
A little overpriced. Luckily the adjacent room was unoccupied but the walls felt a little thin
Everything - Friendly Welcoming , the food was Great and one of the best Breakfasts you could hope for !

The welcome and service just improve every visit.
Excellent breakfast and plenty of it. The room was so lovely and bed very comfy, very peaceful, really enjoyed our stay.
Hair dryer would have been helpful, also iron and ironing board
Close to bourn and very clean
Location was nice and room was nice
I arrived late and wanted a shower before bed, got undressed and found there were no towels !
We were attending a wedding at the Ashwarby Rectory and this was literally a 10 minute drive away so perfect location. Had a great nights sleep the bed was really comfy & the bedding was very soft!
The friendliest of welcomes on arrival. This continued throughout the stay.
Nothing to dislike.
Owner was very friendly and helpfull room was clean and tidy asked to have a bigger room was given a bigger room no extra cost.
The room was very clean and comfortable for 3 people. Very good value for money. The food was lovely, and the host was very welcoming. Would definitely stay again.
The food was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful
The bed was so uncomfortable and the bed frame was so noisy even if you just sat on it
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good but restricted as the main chef was not there. Overall it met my needs and I would recommend if you are in the area and need a bed and reasonable priced food.
The single room could have benefited by adding a table and chair and a hook in the bathroom.
Great stay, perfect for what i needed. Good food, comfy bed. Great staff. A+
Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Big comfortable room and bed. Parking right outside room. Tasty cooked breakfast.
Rooms on ground floor lots of parking outside door of apartment. I was here because of Nene Valley Rock Festival a few miles away. The Pub itself is great serving good meals. The breakfast was to die for.
It’s a bit remote and not much else going on in small village.
Quiet area of the beaten track
Breakfast was ok, did leave a note when booking to say I was gluten free, but had nothing at breakfast, no toast or gluten free cereals, which is annoying as you can buy this at local supermarkets?? The bacon was overdone & far too crispy too eat.
Uncomfortable bed, springs making a noise every time you move & bathroom mirror was steamy needs replacing. Shower very good & had a good flow of hot water.
A lovely room to the rear and separate to the Inn. Room 4 - such a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Car parking space in front of the room. Cooked breakfast of your choice. Friendly family running the Inn. Went to the area for a music festival, only went 1 day. If we attend next year we will stay at the Bull Inn again
We coudn't fault the service.
Great village pub, which offers good freshly made food portions are large😂, great selection of drinks. Good clean accommodation plenty of parking
Hospitality good. Helpful & friendly
No breakfast menu to peruse Prited local info and hotel facilities.
Cooked breakfast was very good. Room spacious and everything we needed .
A small inn recently taken over by a father & son partnership. It has chalet accommodation at the rear of the property. Old style, English village inn. Well presented, comfortable room, large car park with external pub facilities.
What a fabulous overnight stay pre music festival. Lovely, clean, well equipped rooms in a courtyard at the back of the pub - nice and private. Fluffy towels, tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, plus toiletries. Great little pub. Super friendly. Lovely food. I had prawn baguette with salad chips and coleslaw off the lunch menu. Freshly cooked home made sausage rolls, steak pasties and cheese straws available at the bar if you just fancy a snack. The sausage rolls are a meal in themselves and taste amazing as do the cheese straws and an absolute bargain! Make sure you visit St Andrew’s Church, literally just over the road. So interesting and full of history. Absolutely recommend. Thank you!
The room was a good size, nice touches with water, tea, coffee, biscuits in the room. The inn was lovely, very friendly accomodating people, excellent home cooked food, lovely eating area and soft seats for a drink after tea, breakfast was also fantastic
Nothing
Lovely rooms outside of the main pub in an outbuilding which were great as quiet and. Few steps away from the pub. The room was small but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Really comfortable king size bed and lovely walk in shower. Tea/coffee making facilities with. Complimentary bottle of water and biscuits Wifi wasn’t working in the room when we were there but it did work in the pub so not. Big deal. The TV in the room was really small and coild do with better blackout curtains but breakfast was lovely with a choice of Full English or other dishes such as scrambled egg on toast etc. I would definitely stay again if in the area
This was a realy nice venue to stay at. The single room was fine for me and comfortable, the rooms are to the rear of the Inn in an annex. All the food was nice and well presented. The staff very very pleasnant and helpful. The village is very quiet so for that quiet getaway you would be wise to think of here
Staff at the hotel were very welcoming and my room was very cimfortable and quiet.
Nothing.
Good value for money. The proprietors had only been running the Bull for a few weeks and were improving the facilities. Food was freshly cooked to order and bar prices very reasonable. The location is in a peaceful rural village and therefore guests to not experience the problems associated with many big cities.
It is a work in progress so I will not look for minor faults
We stopped for one night en route to a family wedding and so glad we chose the Bull at Rippingham. Lovely family run pub with rooms. The family only recently took over the pub and are doing a fabulous job. Super comfy bed (new mattress) and very clean room with en-suite. Great atmosphere in the pub and the new chef has a great menu of excellent food, all locally sourced, generous portions and great value for money. Breakfast was amazing too. All in all 5 star!
Despite being under new ownership everything was lovely and clean. Staff could not do enough to make our stay memorable. All food was genuinely home made/ home cooked and delicious. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.
Good location, pleasant staff very accommodating.
We were the first overnight guests for the new owners and forced them to accelerate their plans for taking guests! They were lovely and could not have given us a warmer welcome. They have great plans for the Bull Inn and we would love to go back in future to see the results. We wish them every success with their new venture.
The location, friendly staff.
The room was small but OK for an overnight stay
Lovely clean little double room separate to the pub, very quiet, perfect for our overnight stay.
Accommodation was comfortable, clean and quiet. The manager was very good. Gave great customer service and made us feel very welcome. We were invited for a nightcap after our evening meal and introduced to local people who were very friendly. The pub was lovely. Such a shame that it is closing.
The fact that this was the last week the pub would be trading.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice little sitting area outside. Very handy to have the car parked by the door. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. Lovely, quiet location.
Comfortable Well equipped
Scale on shower head
I had a really great stay at the Bull Inn which is located in a lovely quiet village surrounded by the countryside. My room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable, and because it’s so peaceful, I had a fabulous nights sleep. Beats noisy large chain hotels any day!!! Lots of tea / coffee with biscuits provided which was nice as I’ve been to many hotels recently where you get minimal items. Lots of free parking and directly outside your own room which was brilliant for carrying suitcases etc out of your car. Leo the owner is absolutely lovely and really cares about his guests, and gives you the most amazing welcome. A really lovely gentleman. I stayed mid week and there was a pop up kitchen of Mexican food (different pop ups each week) which was gorgeous and I was able to sit on the small patio outside my room in the sunshine.. just so lovely. I would definitely come back to stay at The Bulls Inn if I were in the area again as I felt so comfortable and safe there.
Great location and friendly helpful staff.
