Very local for where I was working. Very nice high street with lots of independent shops and good choice of eateries.
Parking was round the back of the hotel in a free public carpark. There was no hot water at the bathroom sink, but worked in the shower.
The location of the Angel hotel was right in the center of the town restaurants and pubs shops . The cooked breakfasts were very nice
Well located, beautiful room, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Friendly, efficient and lovely breakfast! Great size rooms!
Location was handy, breakfast was lovely, just a shame I couldn’t finish it
Shower wasn’t very powerful and the controls were a bit out
Friendly faces , nice breakfast
Great location for our visit to friends who lived nearby. In town so we were able to walk to them. Also visited a local pub and restaurant and was great to be able to walk back. Staff brilliant and great breakfast.
Our room was beautiful, and in keeping with the age and history of the building. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. Breakfast was delicious, and everybody there was very friendly and welcoming.
There was nothing at all to dislike.
Location and quirky decor
Bit tired, shower was hot or cold nothing in between only 1 towel provided
Excellent location for the town
N/a the room was booked for the family . I didn’t seen the room , they had no complaints !
The staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed because we had entered an event the next day at a nearby location. They made us a lovely packed breakfast to take with us! Outstanding staff. We don't hesitate to recommend The Angel to other travellers. Thank you!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large light and comfortable. There waz free parking close by. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We arrived in a heatwave and the only drawback was the room was very hot.
No real issues
Nice staff, large room. The welcome pack in the room was helpful to advise where to find a meal as the Angel does not serve food in the evening.
The room was very warm. A fan was provided but also needed to have the window open which meant it was very noisy all night as the room overlooked the main road. Earplugs were provided. There was a false eyelash in the bathroom which wasn't mine.
Characterful small hotel in the centre of town with a good breakfast
No air conditioning
Character of the place Fan in room to keep us cool Lovely staff very helpful and friendly
Very noisy outside till 1am. Sun Came through curtains very early Water took ages to heat up in the shower
Lovely quirky hotel
Nice breakfast. Lovely rooms. Very comfortable.
Nice big room comfortable beds
Very nice old English business
We were up graded to a Superior Room which was a nice surprise Breakfast was very good. The only negative was the Car Park facilities which was at the back of the building and this is shared with the residents but not clearly sign post but as a resident said that the hatched areas were for residents but these needed to be repainted and signs clearly stating this
The parking as stated above but that is only a little gripe as that could easily be sorted in time as I would definitely stay here again
Lovely hotel with lots of history in a good location. Free parking to the rear of the building.
Lovely stay! Really surprised by the quality of the room and history of the Motorsports connection. Manager and team really helpful. Great breakfast.
Great location, colourful decor, clean. Interesting history and information for each room
No soap or tissues in room. Very gloomy in room, dark painted ceiling and very little room to walk round bed. Breakfast was uninspired with burnt toast. Uncomfortable chairs
The whole stay was perfect all you may need was available if it was hot there was a fan, never cold i even had to use the sewing kit to repair my brolly beautiful towels and great shower
Nothing
We were there for a sad reason, and the staff were incredibly kind and understanding
Noise from pub over the road late at night! The hotel changed our room for the second night and gave us a discount.
The Angel Hotel is so lovely, old and quirky. We were given a free upgrade to a king room and a large bottle of cold water was provided on arrival. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the room. The Hotel is on the main road so it's seconds to get to everything around it. Our room overlooked the main street which was quite busy and noisy but they do provide ear plugs if needed. The bed was super comfy so slept well. Breakfast was included in our price and was superb.
Nothing!
Room was great. Very spacious, Burghley room. Breakfast in the morning was spot on. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed Friendly staff all round
The shower took ages to get warm but they did work. So not really anything negative at all.
The overall stay was excellent The interior/decor was absolutely stunning Our room was excellent with so much attention to detail The breakfast was of a high standard presented beautifully
That we only stayed overnight
The staff are very helpful. The breakfasts are delicious. My husband has a disability and everything was done to enable us to have a great stay
Always love this location but felt it was a bit overpriced this time, sorry
Stunning quirky period property

The breakfast was lovely.
A bit pricey for a B&B at £140. Last week we stayed at The Angel & Royal at Grantham for £56 but without breakfast. A really beautiful hotel. Also no decaf tea. I suffer Palpitations and do not caffeine at all. Tea is my chosen beverage.
the hotel was very close to the venue i was attending
nothing
The staff were fantastic and the rooms were great car park around the back was free
From check-in to check-out everything went well. The room was large, comfortable, warm and well laid out. We spoke with the chap who was responsible for the design and decoration and he was very knowledgeable and great to talk to. The situation of the hotel is excellent and right in the middle of the town. Although we were on the main road there was no discernable noise and we had a really good sleep. Ben and the team looked after us very well and the breakfast was top notch.
The only downside I can think of is parking but this is not something which can be altered. We managed to find parking easily away from the hotel without problems.
Very quirky and lovely staff
The room was very hot.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast
Quite noisy outside late at night
We have stayed here before. Staff very welcoming rooms clean and comfortable
I would have welcomed some water in the room for the morning
The property is beautiful, a lot of historic details with a modern twist.
Nothing!
The room was lovely, the water pressure on the shower – divine. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast the following morning was lovely; fried eggs on toast, black coffee in a french press. And most importantly the staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

A great location for getting around the area it is located in the centre of town. Comfortable rooms for a good nights sleep and excellent breakfast. Whilst there is no restaurant for evening meal there are places to eat in walking distance
All good
Lovely building and rooms, but on the small side. Helpful and friendly staff. good breaksfast
Close to town
Lovely rooms
Breakfast was standard. Service was very good.
Just bit shabby around edges. Was very clean. Things like the chairs in cafe for breakfast were uncomfortable and wrong height for table.
The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent
Very nice. Centrally located. Convenient.
Location and quaint charm (and breakfast)

Convenient location in the center of Bourne
breakfast room and bed all very good
I stayed here 18 months ago and had a non existent dribble of a shower, but now the new water pump has made all the difference - well done! The staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent.
I was reluctant to book again because my last stay was so uncomfortable, but had no choice. Last time I tossed and turned all night with my legs tangled in the bed clothes, as if someone had made an apple pie bed. This time I cautiously turned back the duvet, saw it was rather crumpled so pulled the bed covers right down. The bottom side of the duvet cover was piled up in a great mess in the middle of the bed, no attempt had been made to pull it down over the duvet, but the top of the cover had been smoothed out to look fine. This is obviously what I experienced last time. The person who makes the beds is both lazy and deceitful.
Great location to walk out in the evening. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Room and bathroom quite small more so if we had been travelling as a couple. Fan provided but turned off as rattled so room very hot. Steep stairs and long corridors difficult with luggage. The road from the nearest car park to the hotel is very bumpy and rough.
Location and the staff were all very pleasant..
Weak coffee at breakfast..
Friendly staff. Hotel had a great history
Shower wouldn't stay hot
The location was excellent. The room was of a high standard and breakfast was really good
I would have preferred a walk in shower but no rooms with such a shower we’re available
Very friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, quiet room we was at back.
Room was compact but had everything, no evening restaurant.
Location
No heating. Room was freezing cold and no one on site to speak to. I have also emailed the hotel in regards to the heating but no reply.
We loved the atmosphere in what is in fact a very old building. Our room was in the part which is 350 years old. Everyone we met was very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was very good. A great place to stay if you don’t want the blandness of a modern hotel. And it is right in the heart of Bourne. But still very quiet. Really enjoyed it!
Nothing really. A great atmosphere.
I am not a early morning person so I don't really need breakfast I would therefore like to book my stay with the option "Breakfast not included" and then maybe not pay so much for the booking.
Enjoyed the chat with the guy who ran it as we waited for our taxi
Delightful staff and owners. Prime location. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing
Excellent location and very pleasant staff
Great location for visiting family in Bourne. We stayed in The Beehive room and it had everything we needed - along with a very comfy bed! We contacted Ben before we travelled down and were able to check in early which was handy.
