La Palma Holbox

Excelente experiencia en el Hotel La Palma. Las instalaciones se encuentran en buen estado, bonitas, con habitaciones equipadas con aire acondicionado y una piscina siempre limpia. El personal es muy amable y accesible el cual te dan recomendaciones de lugares para visitar. La ubicación es inmejorable, a pocos pasos de la playa y con un ambiente seguro por el día y las noches. Como recomendación, sugiero revisar cuidadosamente las instalaciones al momento del ingreso.

INCREÍBLE la habitación, la verdad le tenía poca fé ya que era mi primera vez en holbox y veía muchos malos comentarios en varios hoteles y al final me decidí por la Palma y no me arrepiento en lo absoluto, será mi hotel a partir de ahora cada que visite holbox, es céntrico ya que caminando esta a unas cuadras del centro, enfrente esta un restaurante con pizza deliciosa y te lo llevan hasta tu habitación, la cama super cómoda, cuenta con agua caliente, wifi, frigobar y para calentar agua, la habitación que renta contaba con dos aires acondicionado asi que la habitación siempre estaba fresca el baño cuenta con ventilador le da un plus! La piscina es grande y super a gusto puedes estar nadando ahí. En general vale la pena tu estancia.

Es la tercera vez que me hospedo aquí y siempre me gusta mucho. La cama es muy cómoda y la alberca está perfecta.

Excelente estancia para toda la familia, las camas muy cómodas , el mobiliario excelente, huele un poco a humedad pero es un sitio que se encuentra en la playa y es comprensible, la piscina muy agradable, y la atención genial . Buena ubicación, lo recomiendo 💯 ,

A great location to stay in Holbox, just far away from the main square to be quieter, but still only a 2-3 min walk away from it. Spent some time working remote, and the wifi worked great, and even reached to the open air roof. Front desk staff was helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable

This hotel was more than what I expected. I got more of an apartment than a room. It had a a big living room. The bed was very comfortable and had many pillows. The room and common areas were clean. The pool area was nice and rooftop was amazing for sunrise and sunset. Staff was very friendly and helpful with my questions. It’s 4 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from the central area.

Check-in service good. All in all ok place, you got what you pay for under usd 100,- per night. Pool very cold. The place need some investment to be in top shape.

La propiedad está bastante bonita, es limpia, aún que no pasaron a hacerme el aseo las primera noche que estuve ahí. Todo el tiempo estuve en contacto con Emmanuel el chico de recepción, estuvo al pendiente de mi llegada y me hizo varias recomendaciones, siempre muy atento y muy amable! Lo malo es que el baño a veces no baja agua y una vez se nos tapó (no echamos papel ni nada) , por otro lado la terraza está bonita pero bastante descuidada estaría padre que la arreglaran y que ofrecieran desayuno o snacks :)

Tuve una estadía increíble. El destacado fue el servicio del equipo del hotel, siempre atentos para dar recomendaciones, solicitar taxis y, en general, muy amables. Estuve viajando sola y me sentí muy acogida. Las instalaciones también están súper lindas, todas las habitaciones con vista a la piscina. ¡Sin duda, volvería!

We truly appreciated the Family Room. Two nice and comfy bedrooms with 3 beds total, a massive living and dining area (no stove but with microwave and big fridge). It had very hot water in the bathroom and the pool was old but wonderful. In general it’s dated but functional and nice. I do with they provided more utensils and plates in the family rooms. This would make a big difference. We left some behind for the next family, which hopefully will be helpful.

El lugar no es malo para una o dos noches básicas, la piscina sucia y descuidada, NO esta como la venden en las fotos, se rescatan las chicas de limpieza muy lindas y haciendo su trabajo .. el tema fue el último día pedí más tiempo para salir, pregunté obvio el costo y lo pague sin tema, a los minutos yo estando en la playa instalado me mensajeó el encargado para decirme que había cometido un error era el doble de lo que me había cobrado “ era casi lo que valía una noche completa y solo requería 3 horas para cuadrar mi salida de la isla “ argumentando que el era nuevo y el gerente le comento que sino regresaba en ese momento y pagaba sacarían mis cosas ya de la habitación, siendo las 11:30am en teoría aún era mi habitación, no tenían porque entrar a ella, que pasara por ellas recepción y para no tener temas termine pagando pero no regresaría jamás al hotel ..!

El hotel es muy bonito, se ve justo como en las fotos! La habitación amplia y cómoda. El baño muy amplio y limpio. La cama muy cómoda, dormimos muy bien. La ubicación está genial, llegamos caminando del muelle donde llega el ferry en 8 minutos aprox. Personal muy amable. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Me gustó mucho!

Nos encantó el hotel, rodeado de vegetación, muy bonito, limpio y bien cuidado. La piscina es de excelente tamaño, y las habitaciones son increíblemente cómodas. Desde el primer momento, Emmanuel nos brindó una atención excepcional. Llamé antes de nuestra llegada, y él se mostró muy amable y servicial. Hizo los ajustes necesarios para que pudiéramos quedarnos en una habitación familiar sin necesidad de cambiarnos al día siguiente, lo cual fue un detalle que realmente apreciamos. Además, nos permitieron ingresar al hotel antes de la hora del check-in y pudimos disfrutar del área de la piscina mientras tanto. La habitación fue perfecta para nuestra familia: muy amplia y cómoda, como un departamento completo con dos habitaciones, baño, sala, comedor y cocina. Éramos cuatro, pero fácilmente caben más personas. Las camas y almohadas eran extremadamente cómodas, incluso los sofás cama nos sorprendieron por su comodidad. En el rooftop, se puede disfrutar de una vista espectacular de la isla, y tienen un librero con platos, vasos, y otros utensilios que se pueden usar en la habitación, lo cual fue un plus. Tanto Emmanuel como Nayeli estuvieron siempre atentos a nuestras necesidades, respondiendo todas nuestras dudas con una actitud inmejorable. Sin duda, volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje.

Très content de notre séjour d’une nuit entre amis! L’hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre de l’île, la piscine est très agréable, les chambres sont confortables et surtout le personnel est très sympathique. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel!

Prima accommodatie maar voor de prijs weinig faciliteiten (geen ontbijt, geen bar). Wel superlieve gastvrouw.

Hotel exceptionnel et magnifique. L'architecture de l'hôtel est très soignée, avec une décoration de très grand goût. Les chambres sont extrêmement confortables, biens équipes, propres et vraiment très calme. Nous avions besoin d'un frigo et la resposable à fait son possible pour nous donner une chambre avec frigo, sans suppléments. La responsable de l'hôtel est d'une grande gentillesse et amabilité, elle nous a fait sentir comme à la maison. La nuit, L'agent de sécurité est très sympathique.

The hotel is consistently clean with fantastic cleaning staff who do a great job every day. I had a wonderful week-long stay, sleeping well each night thanks to the blinds on the windows and the quiet atmosphere in my room despite its proximity to the pool. The front desk always had someone available, and there was fresh water to drink (although it was slightly warm) along with a fridge in every room. The hotel is super close to downtown, restaurants, and there's an awesome Restaurant serve pizza and taco joint right across!

Me gustó el lugar está muy cerca de la parte del Centro, de restaurantes y de la playa . Quiero felicitar al personal por su HONESTIDAD ya que se me olvidó cartera y regresé al lugar y lo encontré donde lo había puesto, muchas gracias gran atención.

Reservamos y pagamos pero hubo huracan , el hotel no podia dar el servicio por lo que solicitamos la cancelación y expedia dijonque el hotel no lo permitio y no habia reembolso. Ademas denque tratamos 1000 veces llamar y nunca respondieron. Expedia tambien tiene politicas pesimas porque no verifican que los hoteles cumplan con el servicio ,sino pueden darlo nondeberian cobrar. NO use expedia para vacacionar y asegurense contactar antes a este hotel

Chambre sans luminosité, un peu vieillotte. Aucun rangement pour mettre les valises. Bruit jusqu’à tard. La chambre donne sur une cours en vrac, bruit de Clim comme si elle était dans notre chambre. Cher pour cette chambre

Quiet hotel, comfortable rooms, clean and well located

Cet hôtel n’est pas digne d’un 4 étoiles. Je me demande selon quel critère d’ailleurs ils l’ont eu ? Pour résumer nous avons résidé 4 nuits dans cet hôtel en se basant sur la note Google. Les chambres sont très très basiques, pas de bouteilles d’eau , pas de séchoir , pas de petites serviettes , de la rouille partout , la télé ne marchait pas etc Le pire : le 05/02 il y a eu une tempête sur l’île , nous n’avions plus d’électricité depuis 14h et ça a duré toute la nuit jusqu’au lendemain.Il n’y avait plus personne a l’accueil , ils se sont littéralement barrés . Je leur ai demandé par wtsp si c’était possible d’avoir au moins des bougies, la réponse était “ non psk c’est dangereux “ Ce n’est pas dangereux de rester dans le noir, seuls à l’hôtel, en plein inondations??? Avec un enfant en bas âge ( 2 ans et demi ) ? Ils auraient au moins pu anticiper des lampes de poche pour leurs clients mais non rien, c’est plus facile de prendre la fuite ;) Cmt un hôtel, au vu des conditions sur l’île , ne dispose pas générateur de secours ? Comme la plus part des airbnb et hôtels sur l’île ? Bref une honte cet hôtel.

Dålig upplevelse av detta hotel, hade lite högre förväntningar med tanke på alla bra recensioner. Rummet var väldigt mörkt och luktade illa. Det var väldigt instängt och kändes fuktigt. Sängen kändes gammal och ofräsch. På baksidan av hotellet fanns det stora vattenpölar med soppor som vi kunde se från sovrummet, ingen trevlig utsikt. Utöver detta var rummen oerhört lyhört. Svårt att promenera utanför hotellområdet pga. av alla vattenpölar. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam.

Beautiful hotel, staff is very very nice and helpful. Very natural vibe and is close to restaurants & a short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is maintained very well and the rooms are large and spacious.

Really lovely property in a a great location near the centre of town and an easy walk to the beach and ferry. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room exceeded expectations and was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and lush with a great pool. Would absolutely stay again!

There is nothing we did not like. Super hosts...!!! You really are their guest. The rooftop has a good view of sunset, although awesome view of sunrise. If you're seeking a great stay at a boutique hotel, easy to walk everywhere to enjoy Holbox and experience cultural living, Do Not Miss the chance to stay here. It's everything you could ask for

Hotel limpio y agradable. La atención del personal muy atenta y amable, dan la información muy completa y muy cálidamente. El sitio está muy cerca de la plaza principal y muy cerca de la playa y de muy fácil acceso desde el ferry. Todo limpio y funcional. Habitación amplia, bien iluminada. Hay una terraza donde puede estarse y contemplar el pueblo o el cielo por la noche. La piscina limpia y con camastros para tomar el sol. Mi próximo hospedaje seguramente será acá.

The entire property and furniture needs a desperate upgrade. Everything is ages old, in addition, the staff is lacks customer service and hospitality service with guest. Never again will stay.

This is a basic hotel, but great value. Rooms were spacious, bed was very comfortable, pool area was nice. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Great Taco place across the street. Far enough from the busy part of town for it to be quiet at night. Close enough to get to the action. Note that the light on the ac is bright, so if you need complete darkness bring an eye mask.

Avoid at all costs!!!! No electricity or running water for 3 days of this trip which is nearly half. Could not even flush the toilet, could not shower, no A/C and no wifi.Had heatstroke and could not cool down in the room with A/C when it was 34 degrees. Had booked this hotel with wifi so I could continue to work and lost 3 days earnings due to the power cuts. When asking staff what was happening they would laugh and pretend they couldn’t speak English or just say they didn’t know what was happening. They have tried to say this was an island wide fault when friends staying at various hotels and villas on the island all had water and power that we had to go and use. Hotel refusing to give any refund for the 3 days affected as they say it happens constantly - this is not mentioned anywhere on their website or Expedia and was not mentioned to us upon checking in. Please book a different hotel in Holbox to avoid your trip being ruined as there was plenty of ones that still had electricity and water and more helpful staff.

Thank you to all the staff for the warm hospitality. The room was excellent. Great A/C, TV channels, spacious bathroom and the pool was nice. House keeping did a great job as well. I loved that the location was only two blocks from everything that was needed. A special shout out to the receptionist at the front desk, she’s so sweet and made me feel at home. Thanks again!!

I had a room with a bedroom and kitchen area, which was huge. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The pool area was a little disappointing as it rarely got the sun, hence I never saw it used by guests.

Super friendly staff. Big rooms. Hot water was inconsistent, but that's Holbox. Safe location and very close to center of town and beaches.

Overall very good value, the room was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable also! The A/C worked amazing and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The only complaint I have was that the bathrooms by the pool were very dirty. Though I believe it probably is not the norm based on the cleanliness of the property and rooms, pool included. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the beach and the town square. The Wi-Fi was OK at best, which is normal in Holbox, a remote island. It makes for a great place to relax and enjoy the Island and disconnect from everything at home.

Great place actually! But they try to get money for a key I dropped as I was rushing to the ferry at 6am, my son dropped the key in the dark as there was no light at all I thought they would find it but said they didn't! Which seams very sketchy!!! And try to charge me for this!!

We love staying at Tropical Suites by MIJ! It is our go to hotel on the island when we bring our 9yo son. We get our own bedroom and he gets to sleep on a pull out sofa, which he loves! The rooms are HUGE so there is lots of space for our luggage without it getting in your way. Air conditioning works great! Pool was nice for the kids after a long day at the beach. Location us PERFECT!!!! Easily walkable to town square. Cons: Only thing i would want is somewhere to put a rental bike! They don't allow bikes past the front door. But having a little area for people to put a bike to lock up inside the property would be beneficial. There is space to park a golf cart outside the front door which is nice.

Hotel ideal para HOLBOX, las habitaciones grandes y limpias, al alberca basica sin tanto lujo y las fotos que presentan de la alberca estan en su mejor ángulo. La amabilidad de las personas priceless, te la pasas muy bien.

Property is quiet and about 5 minutes away from the main area/center. A great place to relax and get some good sleep without all the noise from the center.

Very good value for money, I would recommend this hotel for families as the big rooms are spacious and have all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay at Holbox. The only downsides would be the breakfast menu, I guess it could be improve. Furthermore, be aware of you are travelling with elderly people as even though is very close to downtown the roads can get tricky and might cause discomfort. Overall a wonderful stay! Thank you for your hospitality!

Carlos, porperty manager, and his staff are awesome people and always willing to help. They always welcome you with smile and provide you with a great service. The hotel is conviently located few blocks from the beach and kept very clean and in really good shape. We would be back anytime. Thank you

This is the only hotel during this 38 day travel that wouldn’t allow us to pay you directly. Our airline changed our flight. We contacted you and them directly. He insisted we pay him and said you never contacted them. He also charged us several hundreds more in tax fees from your quote. Carlos I believe is his name put us on the 3rd floor where they were doing construction right over our bed. The ceiling material fell into our eyes. Another manager moved us next door to the maid service area where it smelled like sewage. Our entire experience there was terrible. They completely ripped us off and did not represent your company well.

¡Me encantó! Fuimos una familia de 6 personas y la habitación tenía espacio suficiente para todos. Nos sorprendió. La habitación tiene una cocineta equipada con su refrigerador, tarja y horno de microondas. Gracias a eso pudimos evitar gastar fuera y preparar snacks para llevar a la playa. El personal fue muy amable en todo momento. Definitivamente, es un lugar al que volveré.

The room was brilliant, the air con worked perfectly throughout our 4 night stay. The lady on reception was fantastic and recommended places go visit and when to go. The only thing we would suggest to improve this place is the water quality of the pool, we chose not to swim at the hotel but this was no hardship as there are amazing beaches within walking distance.

Unfortunately we arrived on Holbox in the rain so nowhere looked great. The hotel is OK - big rooms but very dark and no extras eg hairdryer, cups, glasses etc ( although there is a kettle and microwave). Good shower. Amenable staff.

Very spacious rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Hotel is in a good location on the Island and a decent value for money option. Walk to the main beach in just a few minutes. Hotel has a nice terrace but missing loungers, plants and chairs to improve ambience and increase its usage.

Really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms are huge for 2 people. The bed was also really comfy. The pool was great. Location good and quiet. Only downside the AC didnt work well.

The hotel was very well located, far away enough from the city center to be quiet but close enough to walk to everything no problem. The room was very spacious and clean. My stay was terrible everything is a mess I got charge extra $300 dollars for taxes I’m still waiting for a response from the hotel to see what this extra charge is and nothing I guess is for taxes that what they told my wife..pluss the hotel is nothing as show in the pictures unless you want to sleep with scorpion spiders on you room you can see the scorpions in you roof of the room no maid to clean you room pluss the air conditioner didn’t work at all I will not recommend to stay here to anyone unless you want a bad experience this will ruin you trip.. trust me on this

I love this place, everybody is so nice

Floor was dirty. Even after I repeatedly asked to have it cleaned, it was not cleaned properly. This leaves one wondering what else in the room was not properly cleaned.

The stay was great! It’s close to the city center and the room was quiet. Only bad thing was that we found some blood stains in the bed sheets.

I was impressed and surprised! My room as VERY ample and spacious, the A/C (a priority for me) very good and cold! Linnens and pillows of the quality of the best hotels 5 starts I satyed in the USA, running water softened, handcrafted doors,and several details in precious woods from the region and a view on the top level second to none. The pool while on the small side was clean and well maintained. While there are a few unexpected things, I attribute it to the fact that the property is new and so may be the owners/administrators. I had not trash can and other minor things but where promptly corrected by a very friendly and corteous staff. I loved the room 302 on the second level, but this is not a handcapped accessibe place. I do not see that as a negative, its just the nature of the property. All in all is a wonderfule place, a great price and a great location. I will go back tomorrow if I could.
