GRAND BASE Urakami

Cleaness. Separate bidet toilet & shower. 3 queen size beds. Comfortable.

It's a hassle to pay accommodation tax during check in. Paid by credit card but still show unpaid. Need to call staff for help in order to get room entering detail. Fortunately phone called staff is helpful. Space a bit limited for 3 big luggage.

Walkable distance from Urakami station

The room is big for our group 😁. We love this place ❤️

Location near the Peace Park, transport, restaurants, supermarket

Hard mattress. 4 beds, 4 sets crockery and cutlery but only seating for 2 Challenging to find

Gehorigheid van de omgeving (trein)

Prachtig ruim appartement en super schoon.

Spacious and close to Urakami station, restaurants and a supermarket. Easy check-in and check-out process. Responsive team virtually and onsite during cleaning.

No proper clothes drying facility. A rack or hanger with pegs would have been useful.

The size

The hot water kept running out

The location is a short walk from the train station and the Nagasaki peace park. The room is spacious and well equipped.

The hotel is fully automated without a front desk, and the room is connected via a phone and chat application (built in tablet) to a support channel. Our room's AC started leaking water and soaked the whole carpet. After trying to call the helpline, we got no answer, so we used the chat. After 40m we got a response saying that low temperature (in our case a nice 23C) causes water leakage, so we should try 27C, which was absurd as it was 26C in Nagasaki. We tried anyway, but the AC still leaked. The back and forth continued and after we have given up, turned the AC off and went to sleep, we "received" a new room at 00:30 in the morning, about 4h after the first message. We were staying only one night, so the hotel was factually without an AC for us.

Nice big room with washing machine which is good for weary travellers.

No staff on site. Check-in was challenging.

good value, good location near the peace park, 4 double beds are awesome

no free parking (even the 4-5 lots right in front of their lobby is paid). i receive many phishing attempts on whatsapp containing my name, personal info, and the details of my booking with grand base urakami. out of my many bookings, this was the only one that had this happen. i believe grand base was compromised by hackers and leaked the info, so they need to improve their security.

Place was very cozy and comfortable. Easy access to public transportation.

None

The hot shower turns cold suddenly. We sent in a request to have it fixed. But the problem remained.

Facile d'accès, propre, efficace, bon rapport qualité prix, spacieux pour 3 personnes

The place is very close to Urakami Station and main road 206 making it very easy to move around. We were a group of 9 and the facility provided enough towels and toothbrushes. Our room's beds clean and soft and spacious enough for two. I had to send a couple of questions to the staff during oir stay and they were very responsive. It is possible to walk to Nagasaki Atomic Bomb museum and peace park, but if you wish to conserve energy or are unfit for lenghty walks then it is better to head to road 206 and take a bus. I recommended to using transportation when heading south to Dejima and Chinatown.

Room is spacious

Kitchen is a bit dirty, but is acceptable.
