Reviewed Jan 22, 2026La ubicación super céntrica, ideal para caminar por la ciudad e ir al tepozteco. Las habitaciones limpias, lindas y cómodas. El personal fue sumamente amable! Nos permitieron guardar nuestras maletas antes del check-in y después del check-out. También nos permitió jugar con su perrita e incluso nos ayudó a conseguir un taxi en la calle. Muchísimas gracias por su amabilidad, ayuda y calidez! Tuvimos una estancia super agradable! Sin duda regresaríamos ☺️

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025More than a hotel, it felt like a great host opening their home to you. We were welcomed by the owner who lives on the grounds and his beautiful and friendly Husky, Pachi. The grounds are very green and pleasant. It’s not a large hotel so it has a very private feel. The rooms are simple but very cute and impecable. It is a very short walk to the center of town and the church. I would stay here again and again.
There is no restaurant on the grounds but only two blocks away from many good options for food.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025⸻ I stayed at Hotel Artesanos XI from April 3rd to 6th, and it was a wonderful experience. The owner, Antonio, is incredibly honest, reliable, and always willing to help. He made me feel safe and well taken care of. He also has a dog named Bazzi — super cute and energetic, definitely the little star of the place! The location is excellent — just a 4-minute walk from the main square, so it’s very convenient but also peaceful and quiet. Although the room doesn’t have a TV or air conditioning, I was out hiking during the day and felt tired when I came back. After a shower and with decent Wi-Fi, I just relaxed with my phone and slept well. The whole atmosphere felt calm, safe, and cozy. If you’re visiting Tepoztlán and looking to connect with the energy and tranquility of the mountains, I highly recommend this hotel!

Reviewed Jan 25, 2025My partner and I had a 10/10 stay at Artensanos 11. Antonio and his dog Pach were excellent hosts, extremely friendly and accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed and even brought us to the market, recommended some local food for us, and showed us the church. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. It is walking distance to everything in the town, only a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance to the main hike to the temple. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and peaceful, not noisy at all. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to hangout, watch the sunset and have some drinks - a great retreat from the hustle and bustle at the end of the day. I had read other reviews that said this hotel was too basic because there was no tv in the room, but if you are watching tv on vacation in tepoztlan, you’re doing it wrong! We had everything we needed during our stay at Artesanos 11! Would love to come back :) thank you so much Antonio!! P.S. Eat the Cecina de res tacos at Tacos Luna in the main square (little blue taco stand right by the taxis) - they will blow your mind.

Reviewed Nov 15, 2024Beautiful property with a very nice garden. The rooms have generous sizes and everything was clean. The location is perfect, few minutes walking distance from the centre in a quiet area. As a plus, the host is very kind and welcoming.
Mosquito nets on the windows would have made the difference. It wasn't that warm for air conditioning and it would have been nice to be able to keep the windows open and let some nice mountain fresh here in.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2024Excelente estancia y tal como dicen los comentarios anteriores, el señor Antonio te recibe súper amable y eficiente, y tal como dicen los comentarios con los puntos positivos es que es seguro,tranquilo,limpio, estás a 2 calles del bazar en el centro, los baños y regaderas súper modernos, y la cama deliciosa, los puntos malos son menores pero si importantes, no hay agua caliente, pero hace tanto calor que no se siente y no hay aire acondicionado, pero en cambio si hay 2 ventiladores, 1 estático en el techo y otro rotatorio en el piso.

The owner would have to open the entrance door every time we came in the front. Also No soap to shower with.1 tiny soap was given for 4 people.Towels didn’t smell fresh, the shower pressure was horrible. It was like small droplets coming down.

Reviewed May 28, 2024El hotel es muy bueno, las habitaciones son cómodas y está cerca del centro de Tepo; sin embargo había leído comentarios que el agua sale fría y en efecto en dos ocasiones que quise bañarme salió fría, el dueño es amable pero se molestó cuando le pedimos si podíamos tomar una mesa en la terraza, digo que nosotros la limpiáramos, es amable y atento, pero un poco prepotente, la chica de limpieza es un wow de persona amable y humilde, cuidado con la puertas ya que aunque las cierras se abren fácilmente, lo recomiendo para una noche si vas de paseo, pero por los climas me hubiera gustado uno con alberca

Reviewed May 23, 2024El señor Antonio y su husky Pach siempre nos recibieron con un amabilidad en las instalaciones del hotel; el señor Antonio nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones para platillo típicos por probar, lugares para comer y actividades por hacer. La habitación que nos tocó fue muy acogedora, siempre hubo agua caliente (aunque no fue muy necesaria por el clima caluroso de Tepoztlán) y la cama estuvo muy cómoda. El hotel está a un par de calles del zócalo de Tepoztlán a pie, si vas con auto, es mejor dejarlo en resguardo en el hotel y moverse a pie; hay muchas cosas a poca distancia para recorrer. Sin duda volvería a este hotel.
