Recently stayed with family at Gateway Ahmedabad for a short vacation Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Gateway Ahmedabad. The property is fairly new, modern, and in a prime location with easy access to great cafes and shopping areas. • The room we stayed in was spacious but with twin beds and furniture occupied quite amount of space. • The staff always greeted us with a smile and everyone was very Courteous • Breakfast and Lunch at Aura was very enjoyable and the service was excellent. AURA seemed to be the USP for this hotel and smiling , prompt and attentive service from everyone at Aura made the difference. A very satisfying and enjoyable experience Points to Ponder: • The sliding door of the bathroom was without a lock and caused little inconvenience as some area of the entry is blocked by the washbasin platform • Check In and Check Out has to be quicker. • Call on “0” should be answered promptly. I had tried 3 times with no response. • When booking is confirmed for 3 guests, the system should have a facility to inform house keeping to place 3 Towels, 3 Hand Towels etc. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. We truly enjoyed our stay and experienced the true hospitality with warmth for which IHCL hotels are known for

I recently stayed at the Gateway Hotel on Sindhu Bhavan Road from April 13th to 15th, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. True to the Taj group's legacy, the hospitality here is extraordinary. Right from the start, the check-in process was incredibly smooth and welcoming. A major highlight of my stay was the restaurant experience, which was truly awesome. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Simran, Ritu, Puja, Yash, Babli, and the restaurant in-charge. They put their heart into their work and go above and beyond to take care of the guests. What truly set this stay apart was my last day. Simran reached out to me with a beautiful surprise—a special farewell cake arranged exclusively for me on behalf of the hotel. It was such a touching gesture that made my trip incredibly memorable. I have attached a photograph of the wonderful team who made this happen. Even though I couldn't figure out the names of four of the people in the picture, my heartfelt thanks go out to the entire team. I will remember the Gateway forever for this amazing warmth and hospitality. Highly recommended!

Rooms were well maintained—special thanks to Neelesh. Babli from the restaurant was very sweet, and both Krupal from the staff and Santosh at reception were very kind and helpful. I do wish the AC remote allowed temperature control instead of only preset modes.

A bit below expectation. The rooms are nice but food is average. Room service does not provide proper utensils and we have to share cups.The housekeeping is average. We had utensils uncleared after 2 days. There is no directory in the room for phone numbers or a laundry basket or price sheet. Does not remind me of a Taj brand.

Polite staff, clean rooms, good food. Mukesh ji (the bellboy) is very sweet and helpful. The breakfast is good but can be a little better. Amenities are quite nice. Location is convenient too. They have accommodated early check ins for me too.

Excellent people who make your stay comfortable. i have stayed here multiple times. But recent stays i can see lots of changes in people working and their response. Purva, Sathi and other front office team are great in handling the guest. Abhay from house keeping, person from hyderabad in room service Bacharang in security do a wonderful job. Laundry can be still be improvised. Overall had a great stay . Keep it going

Brijesh Kumar and Sushil and Navin did a very good job with cleaning our room and was very polite when cleaning up, they were very calm when talking to other people and were very thorough with their job, making sure not to miss a single spot, very good job.

It was a good experience at Aura. Associate Puja was very sweet over there and she guided us very well with jain food. Just one thing that I would like to mention is that the quantity of the food was a bit less than expected, but service wise and taste was awesome.

Hotel amenities, room, breakfast all great as you would expect from a Mariott hotel. Nearby a long street of market (brand shops), several restaurants in walking distance. we have had few events in this hotel & stayed here several times, several guests of our company. Nice place overall & will come back again & again!!

The hotel is located in the prime area of Ahmedabad. The front desk manager Ms.Sathi & her team was very friendly & the process was hassle free. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with modern facilities. Breakfast & in room dining was great. Love to visit this property again.

Alex at the Aura was the best and all the staff was very friendly and accommodating for parents with kids

Our room was facing the Sindhubhavan Road so we had good view. Other side doesn’t have good view. Overall very good experience except the Spa. Spa floor was very oily and slippery. She used lots of oil for messaging and didn’t wipe excess oil down after the message. I had tough time washing it off.

Convenient in terms of location. Toilet was a bit dodgy and had to call maintenance to fix. Also was strange they could not add extras to the bill. I had to pay for any extras as i went along and even had restaurant staff accompany me to the room

Excellent service. Food was good, much better then expected.

Pros: The property is near the business hub. Their restaurant offerings are good. Cons: Their Front Desk staff is rude and unprofessional. The lobby is filled with 6-8 front office staff members who are mostly staring at the guests when it's slow. The staff seems like a bunch of young, brash, entitled professionals who are not trained properly.
