This is the perfect location if you're setting out on a camping trip at Massasauga or Oastler Lake Provincial Park. It's just minutes from the Three Legged Lake access point. We arrived on a Friday night and had a drink on the cute bar patio, then discovered the mini golf course, accessible anytime. In the morning we enjoyed a leisurely complimentary breakfast: lots of variety, including muffins baked in-house. We got the sense that all the guests were delighted to be there and that many come here regularly. The staff seemed to care—really care—about the enjoyment of the guests.

Well, one of the holes on the golf course was pretty tough (hole 11, if I remember correctly). ;) The TVs in the room could maybe use an upgrade, not that you're likely to use them when you have lovely facilities to explore. The hard boiled eggs at breakfast are tough to peel. The location just off the highway might not be ideal for those who want to be close to downtown Parry Sound, but it was perfect for us. As you can see, I'm nit-picking! The place was lovely.

The only thing we liked was the outside of the resort area

Unfortunately, our stay at this resort was very disappointing, and based on our experience, I cannot recommend it, especially for families with young children. First, the carpet in our room was extremely dirty, which immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room. Even basic amenities such as coffee packs were very limited. A much bigger issue was the noise and lack of support from the hotel staff. We contacted the staff for assistance, but they were not helpful in resolving the problem. The most concerning issue was that some guests were barbecuing and cooking meat directly in front of our room's window and air-conditioning unit. The smoke and strong cooking smell entered our room through the AC and made the room very unpleasant. We had to air out the room for a long time and use air freshener/spray to try to remove the smell. This was particularly concerning because we were staying with children and a pregnant family member, and we did not feel that repeatedly breathing smoke and strong odors inside the room was acceptable. When we asked the staff to check the smell in our room, instead of properly investigating the issue, we were simply told that the corridor smelled fine and the room was not considered unsuitable to stay in. This response was very disappointing because the problem was specifically inside our room, not in the corridor. The resort appears to have a designated barbecue area, but this did not seem to be properly enforced. Guests were cooking and barbecuing in different areas close to rooms, windows, and air-conditioning units. In my opinion, management should enforce designated cooking areas much more strictly, both for the comfort and safety of other guests. Overall, the combination of the dirty carpet, inadequate room amenities, noise, barbecue smoke entering our room, and the staff's poor handling of our complaints resulted in a very unpleasant stay.

Mini golf (loved the forest feel of it) kids also loved it, and outdoor pool/playground. Loved being in the middle of basically no where too, felt quiet and peaceful. Bed felt comfy.

The beds were comfortable and the proximity to the Seguin trail was great.

Overall the property definitely means a little bit of updating and the breakfast was not great.

Tout c'est bien passé... L'endroit est propre et assez conviviale. Déjeuner passable.

We paid for 5 rooms and couldn’t use the pool because there was a private party. VERY LOUD music.we paid for rooms based on the pool. Not good business ethic

The kids enjoyed all the amenities offered, fun for the family. The atv being the highlight

Breakfast cane be improved with more items

Loud music created by Indian students just for pool party. They had alcohol in the pool. They just came for party and did not stay. This creates very bad reputation for the resort.

Staff and ownership pool sauna decrepit price is way too high for such a run down place with the sole goal of getting guests out and simply flipping rooms

The hotel is in a great location. We got upgraded and had the bridal suite! It was very big, complete with hot tub! The bed was huge and comfy and we really wanted to take the pillows, they were so comfortable (we didn't). It;s easy to get to, close to the local amenities.

The breakfast was a continental and could have been better.

Arrived early to use facilities we saw on website...mini golf was wreckage shape...pool so cloudy could not see bottom...hot tub non functional. Room smelled like terrible body odor...breakfast horrible, garbage everywhere, basically coffee and toast.

Late night check in staff was hiding behind desk and I had to wait for 10 minutes despite calling when I was just about to arrive at the property.

The breakfast was really good. Loved their waffle maker and the mix was excellent. The bed was comfortable.

The reception seemed permanently unstaffed. Check-in took a long wait because no one was there. The corridor of the ground floor level smells bad.

Nice to have pool and playground access

Right next to the highway, very noisy.

I liked the proximity to the highway. I think this place was probably really nice when it opened but it’s been quite neglected.

The rooms were okay but the bathroom door wouldn’t close and the bathroom was really dated. The tub faucet dripped and the toilet was damp behind it (not sure if condensation or also dripping like the tub). The bedroom window didn’t have a screen on it and was wide open when we arrived so there were spiders in our room. It constantly smelled like marijuana in the hallway. The property could use a little love and would probably be better if the ATV rentals weren’t in the middle of the main parking lot. There were a bunch of young folks riding the ATV’s and not minding the cars coming in/out of the facility.

Very good location few minutes to Perry Sound

Beds were very comfortable. Staff friendly. Good live band/singer at on-site restaurant.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Cigarette butts all over the ground at door, hall and stairway stank, room was grody. Had a hard time sleeping. Worried about bed bugs.

I rate this hotel as fair. The hotel is outdated. The rooms are fine and yes, they are clean. Also, the included breakfast was fair. The coffee was cold and there was no jam for toast.

Overall this is a great spot and we enjoyed it. It is just what I expected in terms of vibes....very chill. The facilities unfortunately had many areas closed which we did not know - outdoor pool, hot tub. This was disappointing. The room exceeded expectations. I thought it would be run down but was quite clean.

Location worked well for me and I like having a breakfast included, thanks. The facility has a nice family camp vibe by having a fire pit to sit beside in the evening.

Some people were noisy coming in later but you can’t do much about that.

De ligging, mooie omgeving. Het restaurant/de bar werd eerder opengemaakt, zodat wij voetbal konden kijken.

Slecht onderhouden en erg oud allemaal. Het buitenzwembad was niet in gebruik, was helemaal groen. De jacuzzi was ook buiten gebruik. Het binnenzwembad was wel open, maar vonden wij ook niet schoon uitzien. Het ontbijt werd niet goed bijgevuld en borden waren niet schoon.

The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size. We enjoyed the televison and Wifi. The location was convenient for accessing Parry Sound and nearby parks.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the rest of the property was poorly maintained and did not justify the price. The outdoor pool was too dirty to use, the indoor pool was inconsistently clean and the lights unexpectedly went out while we were swimming (not a power outage), the hot tub was empty and permanently closed, and the sauna was not hot. The playground had broken toys, trash, and insects, the sports courts were neglected (with one used for storage), and there were bear warnings despite trash being left out instead of secured in bear-resistant bins. Our toilet ran continuously throughout the week despite repeated adjustments. The restaurant was inconsistent (including fish tacos with very little fish and a beer that tasted spoiled), the vending machine dispensed the wrong drink and repeatedly failed to make correct change, and the only snacks available were marked-up retail items sold at the front desk. Overall, the property felt neglected despite its convenient location.

Outdoor pool under repairs, no notice. Had to get ice from lobby, breakfast was ok for continental. Had to request things to be refilled.

The woman at the front desk were amazing. The pool, the gym, my room...Everythings was perfect and i plan to return at this place.

The only things that bothered me was that the breakfast was at 7h30 and i had to leave between 6 and 7. I had a little problem with my door card but the lady at the reception desk have done it’s best to help me.

The place is right next to Highway 400, but the living quarters are behind the main building and are pretty quiet. The room had everything we needed and the breakfast was very filling. They had ATV tours on offer, which we didn't take but thought they were good value.

The mattress wasn't too comfortable - it was soft, which meant the two of us kept waking each other up every time we moved. The AC was blowing cold air over us intermittently to maintain the set temperature. The outdoor pool wasn't open at the end of June.

I love staying here we come often. The pool is the best and beds are super comfy. Breakfast is great too. Front desk staff are so wonderful.

I didnt like that even with the do not disturb sign on the door I still got woken up before 10am with someone asking if I need towels. Although that was a super kind offer I go there just to get away so I can get some sleep.. that's the only thing. Everything else was perfect

I was very disappointed that I wasn't able to sleep because of a party at the staff cottage. So I asked for a later checkout so I could get a few more hours sleep and I was told that I had to pay extra for that regardless of weather I got sleep or not so we decided to just check out and I was given 15% back off the price of the room for the 1 night which I did appreciate and I also got an apology from the owner himself.

Everything! The rooms are gorgeous! Beds are so comfy I slept like a baby. The staff are all amazing! Food was great at the restaurant as well as the free breakfast it was so great the waffles 🧇 were a huge hit for us we loved them! We booked one night and extended our stay and honestly I just want to stay forever its been that great! The pool was so nice and warm then we checked out the sauna that was so nice since im getting older im always cold so that was a favorite place for me 🙂 They have an awesome gym area as well as they rent out ATVs which is so fun! There's also a nice playground for the kids and the prices here are great but the staff are what made our stay most memorable they were all such beautiful people. Thank you Jolly Roger you will definitely be seeing us lots more 😊 ❤️

The heater kept coming on and off while trying to sleep and it was a little noisy. Room 107.

Thank you to the amazing staff who made our stay very welcoming and pleasant! The kids loved the Easter egg hunt experience, the staff did a wonderful job decorating and planning the event - music, photo with Easter Bunny - special thanks to Bunny-Anni :), egg hunt, painting station, hot chocolate, scavenger hunt and a goodie bag. Kids really enjoyed the special attention. On another note, we enjoyed: - free breakfast buffet --> variety of fresh foods (light meals and refreshments such as waffles, fruits, cereals, oatmeal, muffins, eggs, yogurt, bagels/toast, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate) - swimming pool (spacious, heated, clean) - sauna (amazing after a swim in the pool) - room was outdated but clean and tidy, plenty of toiletries, towels and such; outdoor exit from the room was a nice feature - lots of parking space and close the rooms - kids outdoor playground (huge plus!) - pet friendly (although we didn't bring ours this time but we enjoyed meeting the white Samoyed on site)

Hot tub not working but they do have a sauna instead. Nothing much around the area - very limited restaurants. Outdated but for us it was not a deal breaker.

Facilities like table tennis and squash courts

There were no clear directions to find lobby from within the hotel. The room fones were not working. The parking lot was in a bad shape with full of potholes. Many of the facilities like hot sauna were not functioning. The breakfast was okayish. The location was a bit isolated from the nearby eateries. Even the fireplace wasnt functional.

Very clean room. Wonderful ambience with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Great value and the staff are always professional and accommodating. THE PLACE to stay near Parry Sound.

The fireplace did not work, it was fixed the next day but failed again. The temperature could not be regulated, it was too warm through the night even with thermostat at 18c The inside pool was too cold, no towels available and whirlpool out of commission.

We both thought that the the resort is well-maintained and clean. Such a friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and cozy. We had dinner on wing night and it was great. Breakfast the next morning was light and fresh. Muffins, bagels, waffles hard-boiled eggs, coffee, cereal, and yoghurt. The bar offers two big pool tables and there is entertainment on the weekend. There were only a couple of guests during our stay because it was midweek and off-season. But I’ll bet you it’s a lot of fun in the summer.

The staff are amazing and do everything possible to make u feel wanted. The stay was great and the building is kept very clean.

Dinner options in the restaurant were excellent. The head chef Mattis was great, fun loving and jovial. Took great interest to make us feel comfortable and the dining experience was great. He set up the heated transparent dome for us to have dinner when it was snowing outside. There was also bluetooth audio connectivity for us to play our songs. We loved it. The food was served in great portions and was really delicious. Definitely recommen the Mac and cheese fingers, Indo Mediterranean wrap and Zuchini Pasta. The indoor pool was nice and clean with all safety equipments accessible. The deepest area was 1.58M. The gym is very well equipped as well.

Breakfast - Not a great breakfast spread, just cornflakes, oats and DIY waffles. Some scrambled eggs, roasted mushroom and potatoes would have been great.

The resort was just what we needed at the end of our road trip. It had everything that we needed and more. The mini golf, the tennis court, and every other activity included really made our vacation the most fun. The breakfast included waffles, toast, muffins, and a lot more other options. The waffles in particular were exquisite. The dinner we had was in the hotel on the premises, where they had billiards to entertain as well. The staff of the hotel was also very friendly and was satisfactory.

The upkeep of the mini golf and other activities could have been better, as it was during the fall season; the whole place was covered in dry leaves. We had to clear them as we played. The pool was supposedly under repairs, which was a letdown, as we had intended to use it to relax, which was one of the reasons we chose this resort.

Bed was comfy and the breakfast great.

Rooms are a little outdated for what you pay. Breakfast is as expected, however, dishes get piled and left too long and items (cream, jam) don’t get replenished quick enough or they advise that they have run out (which is not acceptable in my opinion). Otherwise, great place to stay! Staff is friendly and complimentary firewood is a bonus 👌 Overall, 4 stars
