Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel

It was all fun and games till we figured our room was right at a working site from 7 am and Yes, reception was called multiple times and NO. They didn’t do anything about it. We are still at the hotel maybe social media will prompt them resolving the issue versus speaking to them in person🤷🏽‍♀️

Do not stay here unless you want your afternoon and evening to feel like you’re in the middle of a giant rave, with the bass so high that your belongings are shaking in your room (and we are a young couple!) Lumi beach is lovely in the day for dogs to run around and to lay in the sun and that’s the end of the good things about this place. Other than that, the music and bass is like being in the middle of an Ibiza club and it was unbearably loud back in our ‘suite’ as well. No where to go for dinner that’s not in the middle of the restaurant which turns into a club. There should be a warning on the website that it’s a party resort before booking. If you’re coming to party all night long and love loud EDM music at night, then this place might be for you!

The “hotel” is outdated and not really maintained. We are always looking for pet friendly places and this has been the biggest mistake ever. Been several times in Lumi Beach (day pass), and loved the experience. Totally different experience while being inside guests, big NO for us . Rooms were maintained here and there, but the odor in the room and the finishes are extremely poor. Rooms are big( pet friendly apartment) but not worth it the money we paid. 100 Aed extra for the dog , 160 extra for the extra bed ( 50% discount for the nanny ). Customer service 3/5 Cleanliness 1.5 /5 Worth for money 1/5 ( specially during weekends, ended up paying 900 during weekends and 450 during weekdays…. The fridge is very noisy and not cooling properly, old and not clean with bad smell, please buy 300 new one not branded. It will help more than one in the room. I recently stayed at Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel and wanted to share both the highlights and some areas that need attention — especially as someone with over 15 years in the hospitality industry. Positives: Location: The hotel is in a great spot with direct access to a quiet, beautiful beach. Beach: Truly the highlight of the stay — clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Friendly Staff: The staff on the ground were welcoming, helpful, and provided quick service. Dog Friendly: A rare and appreciated feature for pet owners. Areas for Improvement: Unreasonable Dog Fee: While it's great that dogs are allowed, charging AED 100 per night per pet feels excessive given the hotel's current overall standards and offerings. Limited Room Service Hours: Room service being only available until 11 PM is quite limiting for guests, especially in a beach resort setting where guests often stay up later. Visible Construction & External Workers: There’s visible construction near guest areas and external workers are often around the property, which affects privacy and comfort. Guests should not feel watched or uncomfortable. Unprofessional Management Conduct: Shockingly, hotel management did not greet or acknowledge guests — a basic hospitality standard. Even more concerning was witnessing managers eating, drinking, and smoking in front of guests. It felt more like being in someone's private home than a professional hotel environment. Room & Maintenance Issues: The beach suite door was in poor condition, basic utensils (like spoons and knives) were missing, and the water pressure in the shower was very low. Neglected Public Areas: Several public areas looked worn down and clearly need more care and maintenance. Final Thoughts: The hotel has potential — a great location, dog-friendly policy, and friendly frontline staff — but it's missing the kind of operational polish and professional standards that justify premium charges. These overlooked details and lack of managerial presence could significantly impact the hotel in the long run if not addressed. With some real improvements, it could be a top-tier beachfront option in Umm Al Quwain.

Very nice beach resort with gently sloping beach great for kids. Pool was also nice with a decent shallow end. Room looked a bit tired though - could do with a revamp.

This place is a vibe! It’s giving Bali energy. The service is absolutely amazing. Plus, it’s not crowded, making it the ideal spot to unwind and soak it all in. It’s peaceful and relaxing. This place is everything you need for a perfect escape

Great weekend away with the dogs. The newly renovated rooms are great and the staff are very accommodating. The beach and the bar are really great and the food/drinks are very good and reasonably priced. We really like it here and cant wait to be back.

The room was basic but very clean. The food and service was average. In fact, at times the service in the beach bar was very slow. In the hot section of the breakfast, the food was cold. The pool is old and needs to be repaired. There is a lot of noisy construction happening.

I can give "-1000" score. Become the worst place in Umm al quwain!!!!! Look like management disent care longer about visitors. They need only 1 time purchase! We was regular clients for this hotel ower 6 years!!!!!! NOW I WILL NOT PUT MY STEP INTO THIS PLACE!!! Since they change the security, there is no respect at all!!! They don't care if you have a kid who is crying, staff on reception not even trying to help or give any idea how to resolved your problems. They dont care about anything. Very, very I can say EXTREMELY ROUGH security!!!! Over priced place. We use to go there only because of the beach area. And belive me its NOT Kids friendly place! Place become very dirty, sometimes can find pieces of glass from the bottles, even when SECURITY clearly mentionedthat nothing allowedto bring with you! (so if you decide to visit this place, be careful with your steps). Your lost you regular clients and I will tell it to all my friends and family members as well!!!! Hopefully nobody else will have such a horrible experience like my family.

very rude staff african security and indian receptionist ,very bed customert service ,very dirty swiming pool full of pipi and hair and all mosaique broken very dangerous for kids the only positif point is the beach area ,old rooms dirty walls

By far the worst experience in a hotel I have ever had. Started upon check in- once I reached the room I noticed that all the toiletries were missing so I called the reception and house keeping to send them, however till 7 pm they didn’t and they only sent it after I spoke to the manager of the hotel. When we reached the beach we asked for towels but they were out of towels and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get 2 towels. there was a new employee I think he is a waiter called Charbel and all day he is walking around and staring at women in a very disgusting way. Even when I was walking next to my girlfriend on the beach I noticed several times just staring inappropriately at her. Last at night starting 10 pm I planned to go to sleep but couldn’t sleep due to a generator sound which was very loud, I called the reception to ask them to switch it off but they said that security came to check and there was nothing. By 12 midnight I called again and went out of the room to meet the security and he confirmed the annoying sound is from the ac compressor which they couldn’t fix and all night we were unable to sleep due to that sound. Next day morning we head to the beach and again they are out of towels and it took 45 min for them to arrange us beach towels which were not even beach towels but rather shower towels. Our check out time was at 8 pm, I requested them to clean the room and arrange the bed by 2 pm yet they never did and the room was left unclean till our checkout time. The towel were not changed and the bed was left u touched and finally the entire stay the bathroom walls were leaking water non stop. I have been coming to this hotel for the past 5 years on monthly basis and I’m more of a regular customer but what I have experienced this weekend is the worst I have ever seen.

We were quite disappointed with our stay at Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing extensive renovations, with construction debris scattered around the property, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Additionally, many of the rooms were outdated and in poor condition, vastly different from the polished images shared on Instagram. To make matters worse, we encountered unprofessional service from the front desk staff, who were not only unhelpful but also attempted to overcharge us. It's unfortunate because the hotel has significant potential due to its location and overall concept. Perhaps once the renovations are complete and service improves, it could be a much better experience.

A nightmare - very unfriendly service - very rude staff - not informed about the renovation going on, so you find yourself in the middle of a construction site when you are thinking you pay fir a nice suite to spend a nice weekend. - dangerous to walk around because of materials for renovation not protected. - suites are smelly...all of them smoking unlike the info they give. - room service inexistant. I would say any service is inexistant. - overpriced in the weekend - food not good at all. - several amenities but obsolete and/or damaged so you can't use them. - only Beah is nice

Customer service needs some serious training. Was advised of a ticket price via WhatsApp that was double the price on the website and then had a customer service rep argue with me like he was paid to drive customers crazy: didn't listen, talked over me, made up excuses that were based on very flimsy logic... I can't say I am impressed and I haven't even begun the stay yet. Hopefully the other hotel staff are friendlier and have an interest in cultivating a welcoming image for the hotel.

This is a not too big hotel, which I prefer. The food was very good and the staff very nice. The parties around the central area are amazing. No matter if couples or families, everybody had a great time. The beach has an astonishing looking bar and a playground area for the kids.

Lumi Beach has Excellent service and super friendly staff. Esp lucile and Bheng. The food is really yummy. This is my 2nd time and i will definitely come back. Seafood fettuccine, pizza verde and chicken wings is really a must try. Special thanks to Wizam the OPM. For acknowledging our concerns .

Buiten het weekend een rustig hotel met prachtig zwembad en geweldig strand. Op het strand een gezellige bar voor eten en drinken. Ook ruim voldoende bedjes. De hotelkamers zijn erg ruim en netjes, maar wel gedateerd. Maar het zwembad en strand maakt dit ruim goed!

Place is nice and felt comfortable all through out the trip. Recommended for family, friends or business trips Reception area is really clean and employees is nice to chat with. Food is really great will comeback if have time again. We have enjoyed our short stay.

Good beachfront place for a quick visit. Rooms are well proportioned with good amenities. Lumi beach is a nice place, they should add more items in their menu which is very thin.

Our stay at Lumi beach was amazing! I loved the way the pool was hot and how the food tasted, especially the octopus!the beach was very painful due to the shells and crab ,but that’s okay!The room itself is good,but sometimes the TV is a bit wrong and to make it work you must call reception. The bedroom is good and the mattress and main room is all comfortable!

Thank you for my annual holiday at your wonderful hotel. I would like to especially highlight and thank the girl from the hotel staff. Her name is Shalomi. She is very attentive, always ready to help, responsive and hardworking. A charming person, always cheerful and friendly. She communicates perfectly in English! We will always be glad to see her!

Very nice place to Chill During weekdays as it's not crowded at all, you will have your private space to swim. The prices are reasonable different collections of drinks to enjoy , the food taste is okay they can improve it

The air condition was so noisy couldn’t even sleep properly for entire stay. Not recommending to anyone.

Love the villas! Great dining and entertainment . Feels like you a different world! Great to destress and wake up to the sounds of the waves. Love that you ate surrounded by greenery as well. Friendly staff

This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway inThe UAE. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful.

It was an amazing short stay. We were welcomed nicely and so were our dogs. Overall a very good experience and we will for sure use this hotel again

It wasn't the first time I stayed in this hotel, but this time it was really terrible. They turned the nice hotel's beach into the shooting scene for some Bollywood Movie! For two days out of three days of our staying there were literally thousand people on the beach, dancing, singing the same song for the shooting. Not to mention that there was a lot of noise of scene preparation at night before shooting, they were drilling, cutting, hammering the decorations all night! The hotel could at least warn the guests about such inconvenience, I am sure they knew about it well in advance!

This hotel has one of the best beaches in the UAE. But they spoil it by having loud music playing everywhere. How provincial! I wish they would wake up to the fact that in the 21st century everyone has Airpods and can listen to the music of one's choice or not to listen to any. Tim Cook and Apple gave us a choice! but Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel want to decide for us what we will listen and when. It is really annoying. OK if they think that some people like it, they can put the music on one side of the beach and keep the other part quiet. But no, they turn it on everywhere. What a shame! Apart from the beach, the hotel is OK but not great. The bathroom door only opens part of the way because the sink blocks it - one must squeeze in. The beds are OK. The breakfast is very good. Internet is very bad, very unstable. Everything else is so-so but the beach is really great, it is the best they have - if only they would let guests enjoy it!

The location was amazing. The stay was very comfortable. In house restaurant food menu needs to be improved as the choices are very limited. The breakfast also did not have the variety.

Love this place, second time we go there and we will go back. Real escape from Dubai. Services is amazing , room super clean. Rooms on beach side are amazing. Great experience and dog friendly !!!!
