Would recommend booking the "non-motorway" side of the hotel for a quiet night, although there was some corridor noise from running children.
Parking is expensive, especially when a foreign currency surcharge was applied to my card.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Getting into the building from the main road can be tricky as its very busy but the location is ideal. Huge shopping mall and main street with everything on the doorstep. So conveniently placed. Easy to travel to other areas from here. Hotel is very clean, rooms are basic but have everything you need, the staff are so friendly.
We enjoyed everything.

I booked a 3-bedroom apartment, but all three bedrooms face the highway. The double glazing was completely insufficient for the noise, trucks were roaring past all night and my family barely slept. When we asked to move, they only had a 2-bedroom available. The 2-bedroom had triple glazing, which solved the noise issue, but management was unable to give us any refund for the downgrade to a smaller apartment. No reason for us to return. Booking.com offered credits worth half of the price difference.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026This is my second stay here, I checked in June 29 and will leave on July 26. The hotel is super close to shopping malls, very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful, I’m really satisfied.
If I may offer a gentle suggestion: the mirror faces the bed. It can be a little startling to catch sight of my reflection in the dark at night. It would be much nicer if the mirror could be repositioned.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026It was a 5 day stay that really exceeded expectations. Ramada Newmarket is now on new best stay in Auckland city. Easy Walking distance to Westfield Newmarket and the Broadway shops. The motor ways are just next door. But there is minor noise. Wonderful staff and facilities and free coffee machine and water in the lobby. 12/10
$30 per day for parking. This should be included like other Newmarket properties. Then I had to pay $150 cash this morning as my car was getting towed from the upstairs outside parking area. The park was not clearly shown as non Ramada parking as all other Ramafa parks were taken by other non hotel users.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Very happy with the location. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space for two of us. We had a motorway facing room, which didn't bother us at all and wasn't as loud as we thought it might have been. Great curtain in the room which blocked out the street light.
All the messages from the hotel, to do early check in and early check out. I would much rather deal with a real person, than put more information into another online form.
